Excellent tour and with a small group it was easy to get to & enjoy everything. There were a couple of hiccups. More to do with local public transport and out of the hands of our CEO, Jakub. He took everything in stride though and went above and beyond to assist some of the group when they needed it My first group tour and I was pleasantly surprised. G Adventures did a stellar job with this tour and comments from other, who have done other G Adventures’ tours, members of group said they are generally good value

I though the Intrepid tour was fantastic. The group leader did a great job in looking after us and providing us with good orientation in all the countries we visited. The only point that could be improved, was in relation to accommodation. In Prague, five people were placed in the one hotel with one bathroom and toilet. This is not really ideal, however, when we raised this issue, our group leader went out of his way to provide an alternate accommodation for my husband and I. I felt that this was really good and we were very pleased with the outcome. The other tour participants were great and I recommend this to anyone who is interested in a great holiday. Thank you Zsolt.

We enjoyed the tour with our close family and now we have beautiful memories to cherish with best holidays of our lifetime spent in Europe Our best tour guide from all of them was Albert. Maria was very helpful too. Other tour guides Jose, Christina and different local tour guides were knowledgeable too but was rushing too much. We had to rush a lot from morning thru evening with stop overs in between. Some more extra time at each stops would have been appreciated but understanding time restraints it was not possible. Couple of hotels were bit far away from city centre which was bit inconvenient so be prepared to grab stuff you need in your stopovers - guide would let you know in advance. Highly recommend this tour to people who want to visit more places in less time. Also ensure to book extra nights in Rome, Budapest and Paris as there is lots to do here Thank you

Baltic Experience

First and foremost with these tours, the enjoyment and experiences can be enhanced by the guide you have and our guide for this trip was exceptional! There are a LOT of cobblestones to walk on this tour so sensible footwear is an absolute must. Every city visited had its 'Old City" which were paved with cobblestones. It was a fascinating tour of the history of this part of Europe from medieval times to present day. The days spent canoeing and trekking in the countryside offered a welcome break from the cities visited. Klaipeda and the day trip to the unique, World Heritage-listed Curonian Spit National Park was just one of the highlights of the countryside experience. A hillside of Witches was a unique collection of sculptured tree trunks depicting all manner of mythical witches and demons. Amazing to wander through this huge area with such an engaging local guide to share the stories and history of the area. Hiking and canoe through Aukstaitija National Park's dense forests and lakes provided an opportunity for not only physical activity, but also time to swim and stop to appreciate the wild flowers and other flora. Plants that are considered garden annuals here, grow wild amongst the grasses and forests of this area. But Riga was one of the most beautiful cities visited. Fragrant gardens, fountains, old and new public sculptures and the well preserved and restored art nouveau buildings, made this city enchanting and fascinating. The trip did consist of long journeys especially by bus from Warsaw to Berlin. It proved to be quite exhausting and could be well improved by a stay somewhere in between these two major cities. Overall, if interested in Russian and German occupation and the history of these Baltic countries and their struggle for independence then this is the trip for it.

Motels not too good...no air conditioning, no fridges Bus had problems with air con too..changed buses , but not as comfortable

Covered alot of ground and very busy of course with never enough time, but that was expected. Great driver, found tour director somewhat unenthusiastic - would have liked more concise info on how each day was going to progress and a little more interaction with the group. Hotel Metropole was so hot and too noisy to have window open - most of the hotel rooms were so hot all night. Holiday Inn York room was rather well tread and dirty. Other than that a great trip with excellent meals except the dinner at Holiday Inn York.

I’m a see all I can fall I can guy. Not the type to sit at a resort on a beach. I really enjoyed every where we were at and learned so much. Our guide was helpful our driver was excellent and we had a great time.

We spent 2 weeks with Choose Balkans Team travelled all over the Balkans. There’s so much to see and do in every place, this trip is definitely worth. It was great to eat local cosine. For us Berat was highlight of the trip.

• Sun protection. For all our trips, especially during the summer months in Europe, we recommend bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to protect your face and the back of your neck from the sun.
• Layers. For tours of Europe, we recommend packing lightweight, loose-fitting clothing that can be easily layered to accommodate varying temperatures, as well as a light jacket or rainwear.
• Comfortable walking shoes. Because you’ll be exploring new destinations with local guides while on your trip, a comfortable pair of walking shoes is essential. Whether hitting the landmarks of London or on a walking tour of Amsterdam, you’ll be glad you brought your most comfortable footwear.
• Dressier attire. You may want to pack dressier attire if you plan to visit a high-end restaurant or attend a special performance on any of our Europe trips.
• Full-coverage layers for religious sites. In Europe, it is preferable not to visit churches, temples, or other religious sites with bare legs or shoulders, and entrance may be denied on this basis.
• Other must-bring items. A camera to take photos during your journey, and a notebook for jotting down notes or recommendations your Tour Director shares.

So, you’ve finally decided to fulfil your dream of visiting Europe in the summer? Awesome! June and July are usually the best summer months to visit Europe. You’ll get wonderful long days for all that exploring, and beautiful cozy nights to spend chilling with your friends. It doesn’t get better… 

What are the best destinations to visit in Europe during summer?

You really aren’t gonna ask us to choose, are you? Summer is when Europe is basking in all its glory. So no matter where you go, you’re guaranteed to love it. But some of our favorite destinations would be Paris, Venice, Amsterdam, Italy and Greece. And guess what? We’ve got plenty of trips visiting all of these destinations, just if you wanna check them out?

Is it worth going to Europe in the summer?

100%. Long days. Sun-kissed beaches. Beautiful boutique restaurants. Calming canal cruises. And the perfect temperature for all the other side-quests. You know we love Europe in the summer.

Do I need a visa to travel to Europe?

What should I pack for a Europe summer trip?

Your passport, of course! But some other essentials would be: • Comfortable shoes: There’s gonna be a lot of walking around • Breathable clothes: To keep you fresh through the long summery days.   • Crossbody bags: To carry all your stuff when you’re licking away that gelato • Swimsuit: Because you won’t be able to resist stepping into the cool blue sea.  

How many days should I spend in Europe?

All your days. (Just kidding.) This depends what you wanna do and how much of Europe you want to experience - it's a delightfully diverse continent after all. In most cases, 2-3 weeks will give you a good amount of time to experience Europe's key cities and natural areas too. Luckily for you, we’ve got big trips, small trips, and everything in between.

Is the tap water safe to drink in Europe?

Yep. You’ll be fine drinking tap water in most of Europe. But it’s always a good idea to double check with your Trip Manager if you’re doubtful.

What is ATM access like in Europe?

You won’t have to worry about getting enough cash when you’re in Europe. Because ATMs in Europe are accessible as gelatos in Rome. Just stay wary of those sneaky ATM fees…

Is tipping customary in Europe?

Generally, tipping isn’t mandatory in Europe. And a lot of the time, service charges are included in the bill. But if you really like the food (which you will, you’re in Europe, after all) or service, leaving 5-10% is always appreciated.
