Last year, Fatboy Slim DJ’d at the COVID-19 pilot clubbing event in Liverpool. The two-day clubbing event –  alongside a gig featuring the likes of Blossoms and Zuzu – didn’t require attendees to socially distance, wear a face mask or have a vaccine passport to get into the venue, a UK-first at the time.

Writing for NME about the experience , Cook said: “Stepping back into a club for the first time in so long, it gave me that ‘hairs on the back of your neck’ feeling; tingling with excitement but also a flutter of nerves.

“It didn’t feel like ‘this is a dream’, though; it felt more like a return to reality. Just back to normal. It almost felt like all the social distancing and masks were the dream.”

Pop phenomenon Melanie Martinez has just announced arena gig here in Manchester as part of her The Trilogy Tour.

The singer is currently performing as her alter-ego ‘Cry Baby’, which involves her wearing an other-worldly mask that transforms her into a cat-like creature with four eyes and gigantic ears.

The pink fantastical character will be visiting Dublin, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Cardiff and London on the UK and Ireland leg of the tour.

Melanie Martinez will be performing at the huge new Co-op Live Arena in Manchester in September this year.

The hit singles from the album include Void and Death, the latter of which is joined by a cinematic companion video that was directed, conceived and costume-designed by Martinez herself.

Melanie Martinez has become an online sensation with her Cry Baby universe.

Billboard said: “The avant-garde pop auteur creates bold, expansive worlds with each project…While the dramatic five-minute track can be connected to her artistic reawakening, the kinetic drums and electronic elements will also make listeners feel reborn, too.”

She’s even partnered with Flower Shop Perfumes Co. to launch a new four-fragrance collection, Portals Parfums, which arrive in a one-foot-tall bottle in the shape of her multi-eyed Cry Baby head.

Melanie Martinez will be performing at the Co-op Live in Manchester on 21 September.

What a great dancing party Fatboy Slim held for his audience!

His music, his beats for beats and all the great remixes he has made through the years just made the room rock! And made the room hot too :)

Just brilliant! The best world dj!to see him in this great venue,in montjuic park, with great views of bcn just unforgettable. Make sure he comes to bcn more often! Maybe next time gig by the beach I think it would be also good idea!

Awesome gig,the set up with the DJ in the centre of the arena added to the atmosphere. I felt we were there to dance and not just stare at a stage.

Having to queue an hour for a drink was not fun and spoiled the evening along with a lack of trains out of Cardiff following the gig so I hope he plays Birmingham next time.

The first support, Cousn, was great but the second was very disappointing
