Last revamped in 2022, Carnival Conquest features cosmetic enhancements to select staterooms, as well as upgrades like new carpeting and lighting in public areas. Still, some felt Conquest showed its age despite these upgrades and could use a more major refurbishment. The ship appeals to a wide range of travelers and budgets, with amenities like Seuss at Sea, The Punchliner Comedy Club and the Alchemy Bar. It also includes "Fun Ship 2.0" features like Guy's Burger Joint and an outdoor movie theater, as well as signature bars BlueIguana Tequila Bar and RedFrog Rum Bar.
The ship carries 2,980 passengers and 1,150 crew members. Accommodations, ranging from Interior staterooms to Grand Suites, offer standard amenities such as flat-screen TVs and 24-hour room service. Those looking for more space should consider splurging on a Suite category room, which includes a large balcony, a walk-in closet and a whirlpool tub.
Along with signature line amenities, including a full-service spa, a casino and an expansive pool deck, the ship provides supervised programs and entertainment for cruisers ages 2 to 17, with various activities geared toward specific age groups.
Conquest departs from Miami for sailings in the Bahamas , the Caribbean and the Panama Canal.

About Carnival Conquest
Get ready for endless fun on Carnival Cruise Line's 110,000-ton, 2,984-guest Carnival Conquest. Bring everyone in the family along because there are plenty of activities and amenities designed to keep everyone smiling from ear to ear — including the kids! The huge Conquest-class ship underwent a multi-million-dollar renovation in 2012 that included the enhancement of various bars, dining and entertainment venues. Stunning interiors reflect the works of some of the great Impressionist and post-Impressionist painters, whose names are used at various public rooms.
Wherever you look, something exciting is happening aboard the Carnival Conquest — a delicious meal is being prepared, music is playing and cocktails are being mixed. Unwind with a tropical drink at the popular RedFrog Rum Bar, watch your favorite team at the SKYBOX Sports Bar, savor the famous fries at Guy Fieri's Burger Joint, indulge in a soothing massage at Spa Carnival and burn off calories at the state-of-the-art Fitness Center.
Lounge at the pools and watch movies and more at the jumbo poolside LED screen. Shrieks of delight will greet you at the 214-foot-long water slide called the Twister. Kids even have their own wading pool. Touch base with friends at the Internet Café and enjoy Wi-Fi in almost all public rooms and areas. Carnival Conquest also features whirlpools for total relaxation, the Painters' Library and boutiques.
Kids will never want to leave all the fun at Camp Ocean (ages 2 to 11) with specially created kid activities and they will always remember the "Seuss at Sea" fantasy-like experience. Imagine their delight when they sit down to a whimsical Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast with The Cat in the Hat and Friends. While parents are enjoying their cruise vacation, so can teens (ages 15 to 17), at their own Club 02, where they can watch movies, listen to music, play video games and join karaoke sessions.
Your taste buds will be delighted by the variety of delicious food. Diverse restaurants serve everything from handmade tacos and burritos that will melt in your mouth at BlueIguana Cantina Mexican station to a Reuben Sandwich at the New York-style deli. International cuisine is featured at the beautiful twin two-level main dining rooms named Monet and Renoir. Daily selections change nightly and a Kids Menu with all their favorites, including pizza, burgers, spaghetti and meatballs is available. Taste food from all over the world at the fabulous and popular poolside Cezanne buffet restaurant. Foodies flock to The Chef's Table for a private multi-course gourmet dinner and everyone loves celebrity chef Guy Fieri's Burger Joint created by the Food Network star, boasting his famous burgers and fries. A pizzeria with fresh hot pies is open 24/7 as well as room service.
Carnival Conquest boasts 573 total balcony staterooms, perfect for enjoying romantic Caribbean sunsets and magnificent sunrises. Feel right at home as you enjoy delightful amenities, such as first-run in-cabin movies. Special Carnival Comfort Beds with plush mattresses, luxurious duvets and covers will lull you to sleep. Expansive 230-square-foot verandah staterooms are ideal for families.
Exciting entertainment includes nightly shows at Punchliner Comedy Club Presented by George Lopez where you can join in the laughs. Hasbro (The Game Show), Playlist Productions and movies at the immense Seaside Theater, a 270-square-foot LED screen on the Lido Deck, showing movies, concerts and sports events, are other exciting options. The three-level 1,400-seat Toulouse-Lautrec Lounge is the beautiful main theater showing spectacular productions. Play the slots and other games at the popular Vegas-like Tahiti Casino, head to Henri's, the popular dance club and enjoy the music and fun at Vincent's Jazz Bar.
See for yourself why Carnival Conquest is such a favorite cruise ship with so many passengers returning time and again.

No magic spells are required to enjoy a cocktail creation at Alchemy Bar®, our unique vintage-themed cocktail "pharmacy" — all you need is a willingness to be surprised, to try something new. We’ve flipped through dusty old texts to uncover enticing combinations: select spirits, fresh juices, infused syrups, spices… and other tantalizing secrets performed before your very eyes by the true mix-masters: our bartenders. Choose a remedy from the menu, or let us prescribe you a custom elixir just for you, with or without alcohol.
Blue iguana tequila bar
BlueIguana Tequila Bar is the onboard spot to chill and enjoy a slushy tequila drink or an ice-cold Mexican cerveza. The menu offers up Mexican favorites, including several brands of tequila and a slew of Mexican brews. There’s a lineup of frozen concoctions, cocktails and margaritas served by the glass or by the pitcher, and even a special Mexican beer cocktail (yes, really).
Red frog rum bar
Guests have told us we hit on something special with the cool Caribbean chill of the RedFrog Pub. We've taken the best parts and brought them poolside with the RedFrog Rum Bar, where the frog keeps the fun hopping day and night with all the island flava you know and love. Join the party at this poolside bar featuring a great selection of frog-approved Caribbean rum-based concoctions available by the glass or pitcher, plus plenty of Carnival’s signature private-label draft beer, ThirstyFrog Red.
Jogging track
Jogging track.
Fitness center
We have some bad news for you — your ship has a gym. In other words, there’s no excuse for leaving your fitness routine back on land. That’s great news, however, for your body, which will definitely benefit from all the extra energy that vacationing pumps directly into you. And let’s not forget the extra time you’ll have, since you won’t be waking up and spending most of the day at the office or anything like that. If those were some of your go-to excuses, we’re sorry, but we all know this is important. Why not treat yourself to some of our fitness classes — you might even have a little fun while you do something great for yourself!
Massage room
Cruising always feels good, but it doesn’t usually — ooh, right there. Right where? Sorry, we’re at the onboard spa, where they do these amazing massages by hand. But they don’t just stop there — they’ve got tools to enhance the benefits too. Select from different hands-on experiences featuring seaweed for detox, herbal poultice for energy, bamboo for deep tissue penetration and hot stones for — ahhh — for perfection. We know you’re all about feeling good, and so are these massages.
A trip to the salon is an opportunity to relax, to chat with others, to focus on yourself. It’s about more than just getting your hair or nails done… but it’s definitely about getting your hair or nails done! Even though you’re on vacation, you won’t have to settle for anything less than the salon style you’re used to back on land. And these good looks go beyond the usual — we even offer services like teeth whitening… great for taking those ‘I’m on vacation and I’m looking great!’ smiles to the next level.
Ah, imagine a perfect day out on the links, the golfer's zen of the ball, the hole and nothing in between but well-manicured fairway... plus one cactus, a treasure chest... and wait, is that a windmill in the way? Just who designed this course anyway? Whoever it was, they had one thing in mind — maximum fun for mini-golfers, big and small! That's precisely why you'll find a course on every Carnival ship, where you can hit the holes and take in everything you’d expect, like the sights and the sounds... plus the seagulls.Ah, imagine a perfect day out on the links, the golfer's zen of the ball, the hole and nothing in between but well-manicured fairway... plus one cactus, a treasure chest... and wait, is that a windmill in the way? Helping you find cruise ships you'll love
All about the Carnival Conquest
The Carnival Conquest was built in 2002. It's considered a medium size ship. Coming in at 952 ft long and 116 ft wide, it's roughly the length of 2.6 football fields, as wide as 2.2 tractor trailers, and the same height as a 13-story building.
The Conquest can hold 2,980 based on double occupancy (two people per room) and more when you take into account 3rd and 4th passengers. When you compare the total tonnage of the ship to the number of passengers, the Conquest has a space ratio of 37. Depending on the ship, this number can range from 30 to 52 (with a bigger number meaning more space per person) so this ship has less space per person than average.
The Conquest is one of six Conquest-class ships currently sailing with Carnival. The Conquest-class has the most number of ships in the Carnival fleet. They're similar in design to the Sunshine-class ships but haven't received the major overhauls those ships had. Still, these ships have many Carnival staples like Dive-in Movies, Guy's Burger Joint, Blue Iguana Burritos, a kid's splash area, and the Alchemy Bar. The Conquest is very similar to its sister-ships; Glory, Valor, Liberty, Freedom and Splendor, although each ship may have some differences.
Carnival Conquest Restaurants
Food is a big part of any cruise, and there will plenty on the Carnival Conquest. You have 11 different dining options to choose from. Of those options, 7 are complementary, or included with your cruise fare. The other 4 options have an additional fee. Some of those options are a set price and some have a la cart menu pricing. 64% of the dining options are included which means if you're watching your budget, you won't feel like you're missing out by not going to a lot of extra fee dining places.
Carnival Conquest Bars and Drinks
Carnival Conquest has 13 different bars and lounges where you can enjoy a beer or cocktail.
Alcohol is not included in the base price of this cruise ship. To see if you would save money with a drink package, try our Drink Package Calculator.
Carnival also serves the Pepsi family of products. That means Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Starry, Mug Root Beer, and Mountain Dew, although the selection can vary by ship.
Pools and Hot Tubs on Carnival Conquest
Nothing beats relaxing by a pool with a nice drink in hand as you feel the fresh sea breeze pass by you. The problem is that with thousands of people on a ship, there's not always room. If you want to spend all day in a pool, a cruise might not be the right choice. You would have a much better bet choosing a resort with a huge pool complex. That being said, a quick dip in the pool can be nice on a hot day.
The Carnival Conquest has a total of 2 pools and 4 hot tubs.
Tired of loud kids and splashing? 1 of the pools and 2 of the hot tubs are adults only.

Carnival Conquest Features
There are quite a few things to do on the Conquest. These are the main amenities that are available. Some are included in the cost of the cruise, while others have an additional charge.
Cruise Costs
Carnival is a mainstream cruise line. Mainstream cruise lines cater to a variety of guests, hoping to provide something for everyone. These typically cost about $100 - $350 per person per day.
Cruise pricing is dynamic and varies for each specific sailing based on factors such as departure point, ports of call, and time of year.
Carnival Conquest Onboard Costs
Another way to gauge the cost of a cruise is to consider how much you'll spend on board. Even though a lot is included in the base cruise fare, you may still spend money on things like spa treatments, specialty dining, drinks, and excursions. In addition, guests can also have to pay for things like gratuities and tips.
Typically guests can expect to spend about 25 - 40% of the cost of the cruise on onboard expenses. In other words, if the cruise fare is $1,000 per person, you might spend between $250 and $400 on extra expenses.
The table below will help you understand what you might spend onboard a Carnival ship.

Royal Caribbean vs Carnival Cruise-Which Is Better?
R oyal Caribbean vs Carnival Cruise-which cruise line is better? Carnival Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean International are two of the most popular cruise lines in the world. They offer a wide range of amenities and activities for families to enjoy during their vacation. Deciding between the two can be challenging, but it ultimately depends on your preferences and budget. In this comparison, we will take an in-depth look at Royal Caribbean vs Carnival cruise lines and compare them based on various criteria.
Ship Size and Amenities
Royal Caribbean is known for having the largest and most modern ships in the industry. The Symphony of the Seas is the largest cruise ship in the world, with a capacity of over 6,800 passengers. It features an impressive water park, 20 restaurants, a zip line, and a full-sized basketball court, among other amenities. On the other hand, Carnival has smaller and more budget-friendly ships. Their newest ships, the Mardi Gras and the Celebration can accommodate up to 5,282 passengers and features a roller coaster , water park, and a variety of dining options.
Cabin Choices
Both Royal Caribbean and Carnival offer an impressive range of cabins to choose from, catering to every budget and preference. Carnival’s standard cabins are cozy and comfortable, but the line is known for offering smaller balconies. Carnival also offers several different categories of cabins, including interior, ocean view, balcony, and suite cabins. The interior cabins are perfect for those looking for an affordable option while still enjoying the amenities offered on the ship. The ocean-view cabins offer a picturesque view of the ocean and are perfect for those who love to watch the waves. Balcony cabins are the most popular option and allow you to have your own private outdoor space to relax and enjoy the ocean breeze. Suite cabins provide an extra level of luxury and come with a range of exclusive amenities, such as concierge service, priority check-in, and access to private lounges and dining areas.
On the other hand, Royal Caribbean offers an even wider range of cabin types, including interior, ocean view, balcony, suite, and even virtual balcony cabins. Their interior cabins are cozy and comfortable, with a range of amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Ocean-view cabins offer a stunning view of the ocean, while balcony cabins provide a private outdoor space to relax and enjoy the views. Suite cabins are available in several different categories, including Junior Suite, Grand Suite, and Royal Suite. These offer more space, extra amenities, and exclusive access to areas like the Suite Lounge and Coastal Kitchen restaurant. The ultimate in luxury is the Royal Caribbean’s Star Class suite, which comes with its own private butler and access to the Royal Genie, who can make all your onboard wishes come true.
Royal Caribbean’s virtual balcony cabins are a unique feature that allows passengers in interior cabins to enjoy a real-time view of the ocean on an 80-inch high-definition screen that spans nearly floor-to-ceiling. This feature allows passengers to enjoy the view of the ocean without paying the premium for a balcony cabin.
In addition to their standard cabins, Carnival offers several unique cabin categories that cater to specific types of travelers. For families looking for more space, Carnival offers Havana Family Cabins on select ships. The program includes arts and crafts, games, and other fun activities, all under the supervision of experienced youth counselors. How can cruise lines deal with popular destinations getting sick of tourists? Develop private islands and exclusive stops, of course.
- Cruise lines are embracing private destinations in part due to overcrowding at popular ports.
- At least 14 private cruise destinations have opened or will open soon in the Caribbean.
- The exclusive stops could help manage overtourism by spreading out cruise passengers.
Cruises are more popular than ever , but they're also more controversial than ever, with destinations around the globe limiting or outright banning them from ports in an effort to combat over-tourism.
So what's a cruise line to do when it's no longer welcome at popular destinations? Create its own exclusive stops.
It's a strategy popular cruise lines are increasingly embracing. Private islands and beaches have popped up throughout the Caribbean, one of the world's hotspots for cruises. Travel Weekly reported there are already 14 private cruise destinations currently open or opening soon in the region, from Disney's Castaway Cay to Royal Caribbean's Perfect Day at CocoCay , both located on private islands in the Bahamas.

Carnival Cruise Line's Celebration Key , a $500 million project set to open in the Bahamas in July 2025 with resort-style amenities, is expected to welcome 2 million of its cruise passengers each year, Business Insider's Brittany Chang reported.
The private destinations are especially important in the Caribbean, where the demand for cruises continues to grow and where islands with cruise ports are already dealing with overcrowding. Travel blogs frequently instruct travelers on how to avoid crowds at the most popular cruise ports , like Cozumel, Mexico, and Nassau, Bahamas.
The private destinations in the Caribbean are also close to Florida, where residents of Key West have been trying to ban or limit cruise ships from docking there for years.
Destinations around the world have opted to ban or restrict cruise ships
Amsterdam, Barcelona, Venice, Santorini, and French Polynesia have all implemented restrictions on cruise liners, from outright bans to visitor limits or limiting cruise ship size. The destinations tend to cite overcrowding and environmental pollution as factors.
"There's tension for tourism, and then there's tensions for 'Well, wait a minute, this is too much tourism,'" Jay Schneider, chief product innovation officer at Royal Caribbean, told Travel Weekly. "Whether it's working with local ports, whether it's working with local governments, trying to find that right balance is where that macro kind of viewpoint comes in."
Koreen McNutt, senior vice president of sales and trade engagement and commercial sales officer at MSC Cruises, told the outlet one benefit of private destinations is that they can ensure they are places where the cruise liners are actually wanted.
Tourism experts say overcrowding is not necessarily the result of too many tourists but the fact that everyone tends to go to the same places at the same time. Spreading out cruise passengers to private and exclusive destinations could help address that part of over-tourism.
"At the end of the day, there's roughly 8 billion people on the planet. In the next 20 to 30 years, there's going to be another billion people on the planet. A lot of those people will travel. Where are they going to go?" Alan Fyall, the Visit Orlando endowed chair of tourism marketing at the University of Central Florida's Rosen College of Hospitality Management, previously told Business Insider. "Well, the same places as everybody else."
