Taylor Swift’s Record-Breaking Eras Tour: See the Setlist

by Lorie Liebig August 10, 2023, 5:18 pm

On Wednesday (August 9), the extensive first leg of Taylor Swift ‘s career-spanning Eras Tour came to a triumphant close. During the final performance of six straight nights at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, the 33-year-old hitmaker announced that a re-recorded version of her 2014 album  1989  will be released on October 27.

Videos by American Songwriter

The news is just the latest in a sea of special announcements and surprises that have coincided with Swift’s first headlining tour in five years. Since kicking off on March 17 in Glendale, Arizona, The Eras Tour has been Swift’s platform to share news directly with her dedicated fans. Along with the release dates for Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and the extended edition of her 2022 album Midnights , she debuted her music videos for “Karma” and “I Can See You” from the stage.

The special connection that Swift has fostered with her massive fanbase has helped land The Eras Tour in the history books. The U.S. Justice Department launched a formal investigation into Ticketmaster after unpredicted demand for the tour caused the site to crash during its initial pre-sale.

On a more positive note, sales of beads and craft supplies rose due to thousands of fans creating Swift-themed friendship bracelets to exchange at show dates. The Eras Tour is also on track to become the highest-grossing concert tour in history , breaking a sales record previously held by Elton John.

If you didn’t get to see Swift’s visual spectacle, which includes vignette performances of songs from each of her past albums, you’re in luck. Additional U.S. dates were recently announced for 2024 , with more dates expected to be unveiled in the coming months.

If you don’t have your tickets to the Eras Tour yet, you can get them on StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

Taylor Swift albums in order: Here are all her eras from 'Taylor Swift' to 'Midnights'

eras tour album titles

Taylor Swift promised a "journey through all of my musical eras" when The Eras Tour hit State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona — or Swift City, as the city has officially renamed itself for the occasion — for a March 17-18 tour launch as the first act in history to sell out two shows at that venue on a single tour.

So what does a journey through all of Swift's musical eras even look like ?

Swift has released 10 albums since announcing her arrival with a self-titled debut that topped the country charts.

Or 12 if you include those "(Taylor's Version)" re-recordings of "Fearless" and "Red." And you should totally include those.

Here's a look back through the eras.

Swift City, AZ: Glendale rebrands in honor of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour launch this weekend

'Taylor Swift' (2006)

This is where it all began, released when she was just 16. Swift wrote or cowrote all 11 songs on a debut she promoted on MySpace and managed to work on while attending her first year of high school in Hendersonville, Tennessee, where the family had had moved from Pennsylvania to allow the young singer to follow her dreams.

Two singles topped the country charts, including one song written for her high school talent show, with "Teardrops on My Guitar" giving Swift her first Top 20 entry on the Billboard Hot 100. The album spent 24 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard country chart while earning Swift a Best New Artist Grammy nomination, going on to be certified seven-times-platinum.

Notable singles from "Taylor Swift" : "Tim McGraw," "Teardrops on My Guitar," "Our Song," "Picture to Burn," "She Should've Said No."

'Fearless' (2008)

This album sent three singles to the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, including "You Belong with Me," which peaked at No. 2 and was certified seven times platinum. It spent 11 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's album chart, her first release to do so, going on to be certified diamond for U.S. sales of 10 million.

It picked up Album of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards, the Academy of Country Music Awards and the Grammys, where it also won Best Country Album. Again, she wrote or cowrote every song on the album while still in her teens. Last year, Rolling Stone declared it one of the 100 greatest country albums of all time.

Notable singles from "Fearless": "Love Story," "White Horse," "You Belong with Me," "Fifteen," "Fearless."

'Speak Now' (2010)

"Speak Now" sent two singles to the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and two other singles to the top of Billboard's country chart. It sold a million U.S. copies in a single week and spent six weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's album chart along the way to going six times platinum.

The single "Mean" picked up Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance at the Grammys, and the album was included on best-of-the-decade lists at Spin and Billboard. It also made a list at Rolling Stone in 2012 of the 50 Best Female Albums of All Time. "Speak Now" was Swift's first release written with no collaborators.

Notable singles from "Speak Now": "Mine," "Back to December," "Mean," "Sparks Fly," "Ours."

'Red' (2012)

The album's title refers to the "red" emotions Swift experienced while working on the album. Hoping to experiment with sounds beyond the context of her country-leaning comfort zone, she enlisted the aid of several outside producers and songwriting partners, including Max Martin, Jeff Bhasker and Shellback. The album also features guest vocals by Ed Sheeran and Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol.

Lead single "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" became her first chart-topping entry on the Hot 100. The album topped the U.S. charts for seven weeks and was certified seven times platinum. It also made the Top 100 (No. 99) in the recent revision of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Notable singles from "Red": "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "Begin Again," "I Knew You Were Trouble," "22," "Red," "Everything Has Changed."

More: Highs and lows of M3F 2023: Dance-worthy funk, soul and EDM; ear-gouging sound issues

'1989' (2014)

The title refers to her birth year, meant to signify a symbolic artistic rebirth, which it certainly was, inspired by the synth-pop of the '80s with Max Martin serving as co-executive producer. Three singles topped the Billboard Hot 100 — "Shake It Off," "Blank Space" and "Bad Blood" (the hip-hop remix of which included a guest rap by Kendrick Lamar).

It won Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the Grammys, making Swift the first woman to win Album of the Year twice. It also spent 11 weeks at U.S. No. 1, went nine times platinum and made the recent revision of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Notable singles from "1989": "Shake It Off," "Blank Space," "Style," "Bad Blood," "Wildest Dreams," "Out of the Woods."

'Reputation' (2017)

This album was conceived during a period of self-seclusion, a reaction to the tabloid scrutiny that ramped up in the aftermath of "1989." Working with Jack Antonoff, Max Martin and Shellback, she arrived at a sound that drew on synth-pop, hip-hop, R&B and EDM. "Look What You Made Me Do" topped Billboard's Hot 100, breaking sales and streaming records, while the album spent four weeks at U.S. No. 1.

The Reputation Tour, which launched at State Farm Stadium, became the highest-grossing North American tour of all time. The album made the rounds of year-end critics' list and finished in the Top 100 on Slant Magazine's list of the best albums of the decade.

Notable singles from "Reputation": "Look What You Made Me Do," "...Ready for It?," "End Game," "Delicate."

'Lover' (2019)

In an interview with Vogue, Swift said she wrote this album as "a love letter to love, in all of its maddening, passionate, exciting, enchanting, horrific, tragic, wonderful glory." The result was a much brighter sound and listening experience than "Reputation," once more drawing heavily on synth-pop with Panic! at the Disco's Brendon Urie guesting on lead single, "Me!."

"Lover" topped the Billboard album chart and sent three singles to the Top 10 on the Hot 100, with two singles falling just short of the top to peak at No. 2. It was the only million-selling album of 2019 and eventually went triple platinum. Year-end lists at Billboard, People, Rolling Stone and USA Today placed love in the Top 10.

Notable singles from "Lover": "Me!," "You Need to Calm Down," "Lover," "The Man."

Things to do this weekend: Taylor Swift is just one of the big events in metro Phoenix this weekend. Here are more

'Folklore' (2020)

This surprise release was a pandemic quarantine album conceived as "a collection of songs and stories that flowed like a stream of consciousness." Its homespun indie-folk vibe was arrived at by collaborating with producers Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff virtually while tracking vocals in her L.A. home.

It broke the record for biggest opening day on Spotify for a female artist. Spending eight weeks at the top on Billboard's album chart, it went on to become the biggest-selling album of the year. It also picked up Album of the Year at the Grammys, making Swift the first woman to win that honor three times. Lead single "Cardigan" became her sixth release to top the Hot 100.

Notable singles from "Folklore": "Cardigan," "Exile."

'Evermore' (2020)

A second surprise pandemic album of understated indie-folk arriving less than five months after "Folklore," "Evermore" found the singer working once again with Antonoff and Dessner. Swift has called the two releases sister albums, while reviewers heard it as a sequel or companion piece. It features guest appearances by Dessner's band the National, Haim and Bon Iver.

"Evermore" spent four weeks at No. 1 in Billboard, sending "Willow" to the top of Billboard's Hot 100 (her seventh track to claim that spot) and topping year-end critics' list at Variety and USA Today. Released in mid-December 2020, it went on to top the 2021 Billboard Year-End Top Album Sales chart and was certified platinum.

Notable singles from "Evermore": "Willow," "No Body, No Crime."

'Fearless (Taylor's Version)' (2021)

This is the first in a series of six albums Swift intends to re-record in the aftermath of a dispute regarding ownership of the masters to her first six albums. It featured re-recorded versions of all 19 tracks from the Platinum Edition of "Fearless," the 2010 soundtrack single "Today Was a Fairytale" and six bonus "From the Vault" songs that were withheld from inclusion on the original "Fearless" releases.

Colbie Caillat returned to guest on "Breathe" while Maren Morris and Keith Urban provided guest vocals on vault tracks "You All Over Me" and "That's When." It spent two weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's album chart and was the second biggest-selling country record of the year, behind "Red (Taylor's Version)."

Notable singles from "Fearless (Taylor's Version)": "Love Story (Taylor's Version)."

'Red (Taylor's Version)' (2021)

This was the second of six albums Swift intends to re-record. It features new versions of 20 songs from the deluxe edition of "Red," the 2012 charity single "Ronan," the 10-minute unabridged version of "All Too Well," new recordings of "Better Man" (2016) and "Babe" (2018) and six previously unreleased "From the Vault" tracks.

Gary Lightbody and Ed Sheeran returned to provide guest vocals, with Phoebe Bridgers and Chris Stapleton as new additions. It topped the Billboard album chart with the biggest U.S. sale week enjoyed by any 2021 release. The power ballad "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)" topped the Hot 100 as the longest chart-topper of all time.

Notable singles from "Red (Taylor's Version)": "I Bet You Think About Me."

'Midnights' (2022)

This double-platinum triumph was inspired by her struggles with insomnia, a concept album written and produced by Swift with longtime collaborator Antonoff that finds the star returning to the synth-pop stylings she'd abandoned on those sister albums she recorded during the pandemic.

It set a new record for Spotify streams in a single day, topped the Billboard album chart, became the year's best-selling U.S. album and enjoyed the largest vinyl sales week of the century so far. It also filled the Top 10 on the Hot 100 — the first time any act has occupied all 10 positions — with "Anti-Hero" as both her latest song to top the Hot 100 and the biggest-selling song of 2022.

Notable singles from "Midnights": "Anti-Hero," "Lavender Haze."

Taylor has 'reset' the surprise song list, which means anyone attending a show in 2024 can anticipate hearing a song she's already performed. She previously stated that she will only play each surprise song once during the tour, unless she messes one up.

There's also no rules for Taylor repeating songs from Midnights as surprise songs, which means fans may get to hear the likes of 'You're On Your Own Kid' and 'Snow on the Beach' again at some point in the future.

We'll update this article with every Surprise Acoustic Song – and every surprise song that she will play again – after every show.

Will Taylor Swift change the Eras Tour setlist to include The Tortured Poets Department?

Will Taylor Swift change the Eras Tour setlist for the international shows?

As of March 9th 2024, the Eras Tour setlist has remained the same as the U.S. leg. However, with the release of The Tortured Poets Department in April, things could change. More on that further down the page.

Fans attending the European shows might end up hearing Taylor perform 'Castles Crumbling' with Hayley Williams as an additional song during the Speak Now section, as Paramore will be supporting her throughout those tour dates. (Both Phoebe Bridgers and HAIM joined Taylor on stage to perform 'Nothing New' and 'No Body, No Crime' respectively on the nights they were support acts.)

After completing her shows in South America, Australia, Japan and Singapore, Taylor is now set to pick the tour back up in Europe in May 2024 and run through to mid-August, before returning to North America in November 2024.

Will Taylor Swift change the Eras Tour setlist to include The Tortured Poets Department ?

Taylor's brand new album will be released on April 19th, just before she embarks on the European leg of the Eras Tour.

We won't know for sure whether or not the official setlist will change to accommodate those songs until she kicks off the Eras Tour in Paris on May 9th.

It's unclear if she will add a new TTPD section to the tour, but it's looking very likely that Taylor will perform some of those new songs as surprise songs. We'll update this article as soon as we know more!

What are Taylor's most performed songs on tour?

Before she embarked on The Eras Tour, Taylor’s top 3 most performed songs are ‘Love Story’ (491 times), ‘Our Song’ (404 times) and ‘You Belong With Me’ (381 times).

Of course, almost all of Taylor’s most performed songs are from her first two albums. As the list goes on, the Speak Now bops, Red bangers and 1989 hits start to weave their way in.

If you’re wondering what Taylor’s most played songs from her first five albums are, here’s a break down:

  • Taylor Swift : ‘Our Song’, ‘Tim McGraw’ and ‘Picture To Burn’
  • Fearless: ‘Love Story’, ‘You Belong With Me’ and ‘Fifteen’
  • Speak Now : ‘Sparks Fly’, ‘Mean’ and ‘Mine’
  • Red : ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’, ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ and ‘Red’
  • 1989 : ‘Shake It Off’, ‘Blank Space’ and ‘Out of the Woods’

Taylor has only had the chance to perform songs from Reputation on the Reputation Stadium Tour so far, but ‘Ready For It?’, ‘Delicate’ and ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ take the top spots when it comes to live performances of the Rep tracks.

Due to the cancellation of Lover Fest, Taylor hasn’t been able to perform Lover on a tour setting. Folklore, Evermore and Midnights will also be making their tour debut on the Eras Tour.

It’s official: Taylor Swift has kicked off her career-spanning Eras Tour , which combines songs from all the ten albums she’s released so far with amazing performances, dazzling costumes, and all the mesmerizing storytelling she’s given us over the years! And if you ask us at THP, this is already her best live show yet.

We rounded up all the songs Taylor performs on The Eras Tour so you can prepare for your tour date or just live vicariously through videos if you won’t make it! Just one question: are you ready for it…?

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Taylor Swift (@taylorswift)

Spoiler Warning: This article will break down the songs and performances of The Eras Tour! If you wanna go spoiler-free for your show, feel free to come back later.

Act 1: Lover

‘miss americana & the heartbreak prince’.

With so many amazing songs in her catalog, it was a toss-up as to which song would be lucky enough to become the opening number of Eras Tour. ‘Miss Americana’ wasn’t one of our leading guesses, but we think it worked perfectly! A song with the lyric “it’s been a long time coming, but it’s you and me, that’s my whole world” was such a great choice to kick off Taylor’s first tour in five years and welcome the crowd to a celebration of her career so far.

‘Cruel Summer’

We’ve been waiting nearly four years for a live performance of ‘Cruel Summer,’ begging – no, screaming at – Taylor over and over, especially after Lover Fest got canceled. And we finally got that on The Eras Tour! With the beautiful colors and the flower fans the dancers wave around, this performance is absolutely gorgeous, and it’s exactly what this fan-favorite song deserves. Plus, that bedazzled Versace bodysuit? Chef’s kiss.

After the cutest speech about how much she missed being with fans and how excited she is to be back onstage, Taylor puts on a sequin blazer dress and performs ‘The Man’ with her female dancers! They all seem pretty chill and powerful, but then some male dancers come along and ruin the fun office vibe they have going on. But they just shake it off before reclaiming the space, and Taylor rises to the top of the set in a powerful statement on how she’s conquered the world in spite of all the struggles she’s faced!

‘You Need To Calm Down’

Taylor, there’s no way we could calm down when the Eras setlist is already this amazing! This colorful performance of ‘You Need To Calm Down’ is so exciting and such a great segway after the more frustrated elements of ‘The Man,’ telling the nay-sayers that they need to just stop. Plus, the on-screen visuals brought back the iconic house from the ‘Lover’ music video , which fans have speculated has one room for every album era up to Midnights!

You need to calm down!! #GlendaleTSTheErasTour pic.twitter.com/ANLiqZenyp — Cheyenne ~ (@cheyennnnne5) March 18, 2023

Deemed by Taylor as a “good old-fashioned love song,” ‘Lover’ was a natural choice for the Eras Tour setlist! We love it when Taylor breaks out her guitar, especially when it’s for a song like ‘Lover’ that she’s so proud of. When you think about it, The Eras Tour is all about celebrating every single “guitar string scar on [her] hand” and how all’s well that ends well as long as she gets to create art she loves and connect with her fans!

‘The Archer’

Taylor closed out the Lover set with a stripped-back performance of ‘The Archer,’ with just her left on the runway while the sides lit up. It was such a powerful rendition of a song that’s helped so many people, and we’re sure there’s never a dry eye in the house when she performs it! Something about her singing “who could stay? You could stay…” to a stadium full of her loving fans hits differently.

Act 2: Fearless

‘fearless’ .

We don’t know how Eras Tour could get better than this! Taylor started the Fearless section of the show with the album’s title track, playing along on her guitar – and yes, she brought back the iconic bedazzled Fearless Tour guitar! Kind of… she posted an Instagram story of her parents gluing rhinestones on a white guitar the day before the tour started, so it’s like a grown-up version of it. But we’d never complain about it! This is the first of many nods to Taylor’s past tours throughout the show, so keep your ‘Eyes Open’ for more references.

‘You Belong With Me’

Maybe a popular opinion, but ‘You Belong With Me’ deserves a slot on every Taylor setlist ever. It’s a classic for a reason! Taylor looks like she’s having the time of her life sashaying around in her gold fringe dress by Roberto Cavalli – yes, the brand that made the gold fringe ‘Sparks Fly’ dress from the Speak Now Tour – and we have just as much fun watching her.

‘Love Story’

There will never be a time when we don’t “just say yes” to ‘Love Story.’ If we ever say no to this song – and we mean ever – then you need to ask if we’re okay. Seeing ‘Love Story’ live is honestly a life-changing experience, and we’re so excited for all the Swifties who will get to experience that for the first time this year! Especially with the cute bedazzled guitar graphic on the stage floor.

Act 3: evermore

’tis the damn season’ .

We didn’t expect Taylor to play ‘tis the damn season’ on this tour, but we’re so glad she’s giving it that level of recognition! Surrounded by prop trees bringing the folklorian woods to life, Taylor tells the musical story of a celebrity missing a former lover when she heads to her hometown in what’s definitely one of the best examples of her amazing lyrical storytelling talent. We also have to talk about that beautiful dress, which made her look like a woodland fairy princess in all the best ways possible!

Taylor’s magical performance of ‘willow’ largely draws from the music video , especially from the bonfire scene! She wears the signature green cloak while her dancers carry glowing lanterns, and it’s so satisfying to watch. We also loved how the stage floor lit up in gold behind them as an ode to the gold string Taylor follows throughout the video!

We never thought we’d hear ‘marjorie’ live since it’s such a vulnerable song for Taylor, as a beautiful tribute to her late grandmother, who also loved music. So we were absolutely shocked when she gave us part of the song on The Eras Tour! This was a tear-jerker for sure, but nonetheless, a standout moment of the setlist for us. And it was so moving to hear the real Marjorie’s vocals ring out throughout the venue – Taylor added an actual recording of her grandmother singing to the end of the song!

‘champagne problems’

Rumor has it that Taylor wrote ‘right where you left me’ about how we at THP have been mentally stuck on the video of Taylor singing ‘champagne problems’ as Aaron Dessner played piano while they were filming the ‘I Bet You Think About Me’ music video. So you can imagine how stoked we were to see T play ‘champagne problems’ on the piano on tour! And on an amazing, moss-covered piano, nonetheless. We’re jealous of anyone who’s gonna get to scream-sing that bridge with her!

‘tolerate it’

So, yeah, the last few songs of the evermore set were Tear City. Especially because for ‘tolerate it,’ she brought the lyrics to life with a table she set – one of her dancers played her partner from the song, who doesn’t care how much attention she paid to “[laying] the table with the fancy shit.” She captures the anger of the song by crawling on the table towards him, only to sit back in her seat as she sings the final lines, mirroring how the song ends and how it begins, and the relationship never really gets better. The theatricality is so incredible!

Act 4: reputation

‘…ready for it’.

Back on the reputation Tour in 2018, ‘…Ready For It?’ was such an iconic opener, so we were ecstatic to have it kind of be an opener again to kick off the reputation act! With new choreography (a sideways strut we’ll be trying to learn in case we get tickets) and a gorgeous snake bodysuit that had our jaws dropping, this is an amazing new take on a song we’ve loved for years. We’re so ready to watch countless videos of this song on The Eras Tour!

Ah, the return of “1, 2, 3, let’s go b*tch!” We had our fingers crossed to hear ‘Delicate’ live again because of how special it is to fans and how special it is to the reputation album since it was the only single Taylor released from the softer side of the record – she intentionally focused on darker songs like ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ and ‘…Ready For It?’ earlier in the era to mirror how the general public often celebrated her downfalls rather than her happiness. She looked so happy to be performing it again, so we’re happy that she’s happy to be performing it again!

‘Don’t Blame Me’

Okay, remember during the reputation Tour when Taylor made us all cry with her iconic ‘Don’t Blame Me’ high notes, giving us what was arguably her best vocals to date as of 2018? Yeah, somehow, she topped those vocals with the 2023 version of ‘Don’t Blame Me!’ If you watch a video of this performance, you won’t blame us for being so excited about it. Her voice sounds stronger than ever, and the lights surrounding her look so cool.

DONT BLAME ME HIGH NOTE WOW #GlendaleTSTheErasTour pic.twitter.com/mH1aSXn8qc — Miguel (@SelsGraceful) March 18, 2023

‘Look What You Made Me Do’

From the moment Taylor started singing the iconic transition that is “don’t blame me, look what you made me do,” we knew this would be an absolute show-stopper… and we were right! For this performance of ‘LWYMMD,’ Taylor took the “I’m sorry, the old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now” lyric very seriously and had her backup dancers dress up as past versions of herself, all while the background screens showed Taylor dancing around in the throwback costumes she wore for the Eras Capital One commercial. And it all culminated in a recreation of the Taylor Mountain from the music video! This is seriously one of our all-time favorite Taylor performances already. We’ll never shut up about it.

Act 5: Speak Now

‘enchanted’ .

We only got one Speak Now song on the Eras Tour setlist, and part of us is upset about that, but how upset can we really be if that song is ‘Enchanted?’ Everything about this song is absolutely magical, and we just have to talk about the gorgeous Nicole + Felicia dress she wears while singing it. We haven’t had a ballgown since the 1989 Tour in 2015, and even then, that was a bodysuit with a long skirt over it. The Disney princess vibes of this performance are so immaculate!

Act 5: Red

2000-2001 Swifties are really living this tour because Taylor brought back ‘22’ with a new version of the iconic “not a lot going on at the moment” shirt from the music video ! But this time, it says “a lot going on at the moment” because… well, there’s a lot going on at the moment. We haven’t heard a regular performance of this anthem since the 2013 Red Tour, which tour dancer Katee Shean told THP was her favorite Red performance to be a part of. We also have to give a shoutout to the cute eras transition before this song, where a dancer opened up a box, and it played snippets of songs like ‘State of Grace.’

‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’

After being part of the iconic mashup closer of the reputation Tour alongside ‘This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things,’ ‘Never Ever’ is finally getting her own moment to shine again! Taylor took off her “a lot going on at the moment” shirt to reveal a beautiful red and black bodysuit, and it was so cute to see the crowd scream along to the “weeeeEEEEE,” especially now that Taylor officially owns this song.  WeeeeEEEEE will never be tired of hearing it live!

Taylor just opened the RED era with We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together! #TSTheErasTour pic.twitter.com/djpF6rLhmu — Taylor Swift Updates (@SwiftNYC) March 18, 2023

‘I Knew You Were Trouble’

The last time we heard ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ live on a regular basis was during the 1989 Tour in 2015, so we were super excited to hear that it made the Eras Tour setlist! You really can’t go wrong with this song, and it was definitely one of the tracks we were hoping to hear live this time around. We also love that she brought back the fog machine on the chorus, replicating the 1989 Tour version!

‘All Too Well’ (Ten Minute Version)

Would the Red set really be complete without a rendition of ‘All Too Well,’ after we spent nearly a decade asking Taylor to give us the full version? We think not! And thankfully, Taylor gave us exactly what we wanted, performing the entire ten-minute version on a stunning red guitar after adding a glittering cape over her bodysuit. The crowd sings along to every word, and it gives us so many chills! It’s such a powerful moment that captures the essence of her songwriting talent, and it’s definitely a moment we’ll remember all too well for years to come.

Act 6: folklore

‘invisible string’.

Isn’t it just so pretty to think about ‘invisible string’ making it to the Eras Tour setlist? For the folklore set, Taylor unveiled another version of the cabin we first saw in her 2021 GRAMMY Awards performance, and she started the song sitting on the roof. The stage runway had two golden lines as a nod to the song’s theme and the gold thread Taylor follows in the ‘cardigan’ and ‘willow’ music videos.

After a little speech about how she loves breaking down the perfect apology in songs (see tracks like ‘How You Get The Girl’ for an example), Taylor broke into a version of ‘betty’ where she’s playing acoustic guitar! With her band sitting on the stairs below her and the cabin chimney pumping out smoke, it feels so cozy, like we’re accompanying James to go apologize to Betty with the song.

‘the last great american dynasty’

Our favorite thing about ‘the last great american dynasty’ might just be the impactful storytelling and how you feel like Rebekah Harkness’ life is unfolding right before your eyes as the song progresses, so we were over the moon with this performance! Taylor’s singing narrates the story as the dancers around her act it out, all while a train glides across the stage screen to bring us to Rhode Island. The cabin set becomes Holiday House, and Taylor is right in the middle of everything – when she sings, “and then it was bought by me,” she and the dancer playing Rebekah share a smirk, then Taylor makes her way down the runway as Rebekah climbs to the roof of the cabin.

‘august’ x ‘illicit affairs’

From the first time we heard folklore , the unrequited-love anthem ‘august’ was one of our favorite songs, and we’ve been looking forward to a tour performance of it ever since! Taylor certainly didn’t disappoint, delivering a stunning performance with colorful backdrops and amazing energy. But that wasn’t all – she ended the song with a segment of ‘illicit affairs,’ giving the original a more rock-infused sound that showcases the frustration of being in love with someone you can’t be with. When we tell you our jaws dropped …

‘my tears ricochet’

Hearing ‘my tears ricochet’ live was such a bittersweet moment – it’s a beautiful song, but it came out of such a hard situation for Taylor as she pushed to own her own art. And we heard it in the middle of a tour all about celebrating her art and how hard she’s worked to own it! The harmonies are so haunting, and this is definitely a performance we’ll never forget.

‘cardigan’

And, of course, we had to hear ‘cardigan,’ the mystifying lead single of folklore that comes from Betty’s perspective as she looks back on her relationship with James years later, seemingly after they’ve gotten back together. Taylor’s vocals sound absolutely amazing! This is totally one of our favorite ‘cardigan’ performances, and we’ll be looking forward to it every night of the tour.

Act 7: 1989

‘style’ x ‘blank space’.

‘Style’ and ‘Blank Space’ have been live staples since the 1989 Tour, and for good reason! They’re both just the perfect pop songs, and the energy Taylor brings to their concert performances is incredible. The iconic ‘Style’ strut finally made its return, and ‘Blank Space’ had the dancers on neon bicycles to replicate the bike scene from the music video, while Taylor held a light-up golf club to pay homage to both the video and the original 1989 Tour performance where she hit a post with a golf club to create a beat loop.

‘shake it off’.

No Taylor setlist is complete without the banger that is ‘Shake It Off!’ Bonus points if it’s with a colorful fringe outfit, and that’s exactly what we get on The Eras Tour. Taylor got to shake all the bad vibes off in an adorable co-ord set by Roberto Cavalli , which draws from the pink fringe set she wore on the 1989 Tour with a fun new twist thanks to different beading.

Haters gonna hate hate hate #GlendaleTSTheErasTour pic.twitter.com/od6sj5gvIt — Danielle Millar (@daniellemillar) March 18, 2023

‘Wildest Dreams’ x ‘Bad Blood’

Yes, this mashup seems like it’d be one of the weirdest tour decisions in Taylor history, but it oddly works! It also kinda makes sense because ‘Bad Blood’ comes before ‘Wildest Dreams’ on the 1989 tracklist, but this version makes it seem like Taylor woke up from those wildest dreams and realized the relationship was more like a nightmare. No matter the thought process that went into this decision, we’re in love with it. And can we talk about the on-screen visuals burning down the ‘Lover’ house after it was on the screens earlier in the show? Poetic cinema.

Act 8: Surprise + Taylor Swift

Acoustic surprise song.

Surprise songs are just a Swiftie tradition at this point, and we were crossing our fingers that Taylor would include a mystery musical slot on The Eras Tour. Thankfully, she did, and she’s making it a goal this time to only play each surprise song at one show! For opening night, this song was ‘mirrorball,’ and she explained in her speech that she saw ‘mirrorball’ as a love letter to us during quarantine when she couldn’t connect with fans in person. This song was already absolutely stunning, but it’s even more breathtaking when done acoustically.

Piano Surprise Song

On opening night, Taylor brought us back to the very first era of her career with a piano version of ‘Tim McGraw,’ her 2006 debut single! Hearing her current voice singing a baby Taylor song… we’re not crying! There’s just something in our eyes. The song may have been addressed to a partner, but when we think Tim McGraw, we often do think of her. And then, on the second night, she swapped it out for ‘State of Grace,’ revealing that this slot is actually for a surprise song each show. R.I.P. Debut, you will be missed.

But can we talk about that pretty piano? The flowers remind us of the floral dress she wore to the GRAMMY Awards when folklore won Album of the Year.

Act 9: Midnights

‘lavender haze’.

We were pretty confident that ‘Lavender Haze’ would be the opener for The Eras Tour, and we were still kinda right in some way! ‘Lavender Haze was the perfect way to start off the Midnights section of the setlist, with Taylor beckoning, “meet me at midnight” right from the beginning. As she sang, the dancers moved around giant cloud props, and visuals that channeled the music video played on the screens, with one even showing Taylor waving a powder cannon as she did in the video.

‘Anti-Hero’

We don’t care if she’s an anti-hero. We’ll always root for Taylor! The Eras Tour performance of ‘Anti-Hero’ is so fun and upbeat, while the on-screen visuals basically give us a sequel to the music video. “At tea time, everybody agrees” this is an amazing performance for the song that’s been stuck in our heads for months!

Taylor Swift performs "Anti-Hero" from #Midnights during the first stop of the #ErasTour . https://t.co/LtYtxowp7A pic.twitter.com/QIPPdcyiQv — Variety (@Variety) March 18, 2023

‘Midnight Rain’

Hearing Taylor and thousands of fans singing, “I was making my own name, chasing that fame,” in a full stadium… yeah. We’re so happy that ‘Midnight Rain’ made it to the setlist and with such a cool performance! The dancers circle around Taylor carrying umbrellas, and on one of the “all of me changed like midnight” lyrics, they even block Taylor while she takes off her sequin t-shirt dress to reveal a glimmering Oscar de la Renta bodysuit.

‘Vigilante Sh*t’

Do you remember how we all collectively gasped during Midnights Mayhem With Me when Taylor announced the title of ‘Vigilante Sh*t?’ Get ready to gasp even harder when you see the live performance because it’s jaw-dropping in all the best ways. The chair choreography and the bad*ss energy are immaculate! We feel like this might become the ‘How You Get The Girl’ or ‘King Of My Heart’ of this tour, earning ‘Vigilante Sh*t’ the appreciation she deserves.

oh my god. pic.twitter.com/7ZAynQOZrw — stephanie (@bIankspace) March 18, 2023

‘Bejeweled’

Sure, it’s been nearly five years since she last toured, but Taylor can still make any place shimmer! This performance of ‘Bejeweled’ is so electrifying, and it’s so cute that she incorporated the TikTok dance into the chorus choreography. Our diamond really is shining!

Making the whole place shimmer ✨🥹 #GlendaleTSTheErasTour #TSTheErasTour pic.twitter.com/R6jNJJv58y — sarah 💫 glendale! (@FearlesslySarah) March 18, 2023

‘Mastermind’

Checkmate, we couldn’t lose if ‘Mastermind’ made it to the Eras Tour setlist! This performance was largely inspired by the chess and domino references in the lyrics, with Taylor commanding the dancers throughout the song with even just a movement of her hand. It’s such a cool representation of the themes of ‘Mastermind,’ and we’re so excited to get even more videos of it as the tour goes on!

There’s something so powerful about the idea of Taylor singing, “ask me what I’ve learned from all those years, ask me what I’ve learned from all those tears, ask me why so many fade, but I’m still here” over a decade into her career and after everything she’s been through, especially after walking us through the rest of her catalog throughout the night. So we think ‘Karma’ was the perfect closer for the show! Her karma for pushing through all of those hardships, facing all of those heartbreaks, and putting up with all the liars and the dirty, dirty cheats of the world was becoming a once-in-a-generation kind of superstar, selling out a stadium tour and having unwavering love from millions of fans all over the globe.

Decoding the Enigma: Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Setlist Breakdown

The Taylor Swift eras tour setlist isn’t just a collection of tunes; it’s a mystical relic mapping the evolution of an artist. This concept is a nod to Swift’s transformative saga, with each “era” signifying a distinct thematic epoch in her music journey. Think of it as an alternative universe where the Swiftian anthology is unveiled through the looking glass of song and story.

Deconstructing the Swift Era

Understanding Swift’s eras is akin to dissecting the vibrant, complex layers of a Vivienne Westwood creation. Each album marks a shift in style, sentiment, and sonic landscape. The setlist, like a quilt woven from threads of nostalgia and growth, patches these disparate elements into a cohesive narrative.

Crafting the List

How was the eras tour setlist birthed? Fans scoured hints as doggedly as Sinqua Walls fans parse through his movies and TV shows. From subtle social media teases to the singer’s own musings, assembling the setlist was a feat of alchemy combining fan theories with Swift’s strategic genius.

Swift Tunes Through the Ages

Hey Swifties, buckle up! We’re gonna zip through Taylor’s musical timeline faster than a heartbreak speedin’ down a countryside road. From her twangy country roots to the glittery pop anthems and soul-stirring ballads, the “Taylor Swift Eras Tour Setlist” is a roller coaster of emotions, memories, and darn good music. Let’s dive into some trivia and facts that are more surprising than a hidden track on a deluxe album!

Before She Hit the Stage

You might’ve been all-in on Taylor’s music, but did you know she’s got some connections to the screen as well? Picture this—our very own Taylor could have been in cahoots with actors from the roaring epic “Jurassic Park 2.” Now, she hasn’t actually stomped around with dinos, but imagine shaking off T-Rexes like they’re just another ex-boyfriend! While we’re on the subject of stars, if she were to cast her music videos with actors from her fave shows, I bet Sinqua Walls would make the cut. The dude has a resumé that’ll knock your socks off, just like a killer Swift chorus. Check out some of Sinqua Walls Movies And TV Shows to get the picture.

The Times They Are A-Changin’

Taylor’s music has evolved more times than I’ve hit “Skip Ad” on YouTube. Each album she drops is like peeling back a new layer of the Swift onion—tears included, ’cause dang, some of those ballads are heavy. But amidst the rebranding and rebirths, our girl has stayed true to her core—writing songs that reach into your chest and fiddle with your heartstrings like they’re guitar strings on a Fender.

Famous Cameos and Endings

Every show’s got an encore, and Taylor’s is like the cherry on top of a perfect sundae. Speaking of sweet endings, Taylor’s list of beau’s includes some heavy hitters. She may not have dated a golf legend, but if we’re talking talents that pair well, ponder on a fantasy duet with the man, the myth, the Tiger—Tiger Woods, that is. Swapping golf clubs for microphones? Intriguing, but we’ll leave that to his partner Erica Herman to discuss on date night!

When Words Collide

And can we talk about lyrics for a hot sec? Taylor’s wordplay is cleverer than a fox dressed as a professor. She weaves narratives that could give your favorite book a run for its money. And the easter eggs—good gravy!—finding them is tougher than a “where’s Waldo?” at a striped sweater convention. She’s got more surprises up her sleeve than a magician with extra long arms.

A Swift Conclusion

Alright, Swifties, that’s a wrap—like the kind you’d get after a sparkly, confetti-filled finale. From brushing shoulders with The Likes Of The Jurassic park 2 ” cast to the possibility of having a golf legend as a bonus fan, Taylor’s tour setlist is as wild as her imagination. So, next time you’re belting out a Swift tune, just remember the history and heart sewn into every lyric and chord. It’s been a blast dishing out these fun-filled nuggets of trivia, but like all good things, it’s time to call it a night. Keep on dreaming, and maybe, just maybe, you’ll find an easter egg or two of your own. Keep it real, keep it Swift!

Throughout her career, Taylor has released a total of 10 albums, each showing her personal and musical evolution. Consequently, each album carries its unique theme and aesthetic, effectively serving as a personal diary for the singer, capturing the experiences she has lived through.

First Era: Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift’s first era, often referred to as the ‘Debut Era,’ corresponds to her initial album release on October 24, 2006 , when Taylor was just 16 years old. This era captures the essence of teenage experiences , including first loves, friendships, and insecurities. Taylor’s look during this time featured a young, blonde Taylor with tightly curled hair and a fondness for cowboy boots, reflecting her country roots . Some standout songs from this era include «Tim McGraw,» «Teardrops on My Guitar,» «Our Song,» and «Should’ve Said No.»

Taylor Swift Eras

Second Era: Fearless

The Fearless era, which began with the album’s release on November 11, 2008 , and continued with Taylor’s Version in 2021, marked a shift towards the ‘country-pop’ genre . Despite its title suggesting fearlessness, the album delved into themes of fear and the courage to overcome challenges. Taylor’s style during this period evolved into a more bohemian look , characterized by headbands, necklaces, and hats. However, during the Fearless Tour, she often dazzled in dresses adorned with sparkles and sequins. Notable songs from this era include «Love Story,» «Fearless,» «You Belong With Me,» and «Fifteen.»

Third Era: Speak Now

The Speak Now era began on October 25, 2010 , with the Taylor’s Version released this year, 2023. In this album, Taylor wrote every song herself, drawing inspiration from the transition from adolescence to adulthood . The themes of honesty and a touch of melancholy are prevalent, with love and heartbreak at the core. Taylor’s style evolved during this era, shifting from the bohemian look to more contemporary trends , embracing dresses, velvet suits, and layered clothing, often in shades of purple. Iconic songs from this era include «Dear John,» «Mine,» «Back to December,» «Mean,» and «The Story Of Us.»

Taylor Swift Eras

Fourth Era: Red

The Red album, released on October 22, 2012 , with its Taylor’s Version in 2021, marked Taylor’s departure from the country genre that initially catapulted her to stardom . She aptly described this album as belonging to ‘a person with a broken heart.’ The aesthetic was characterized by elements such as bold red lips and a retro fashion sense . Taylor’s songs in this era explored a wide spectrum of emotions, as seen in songs like «I Knew You Were Trouble,» «All Too Well,» «22,» «We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,» and «Begin Again.»

Taylor Swift Eras

Fifth Era: 1989

Taylor’s fifth studio album, released on October 27, 2014, marked her official transition into the pop genre . The album’s title, ‘1989,’ pays tribute to the year of her birth. The opening track, an ode to New York City, symbolized her move to the city. During this era, Taylor adopted a glamorous look featuring crop tops, short skirts, and dazzling outfits. 1989 gave birth to some of her most iconic tracks, including «Shake It Off,» «Blank Space,» «Bad Blood,» «Style,» «Out of the Woods,» and «Wildest Dreams.»

Taylor Swift Eras

Sixth Era: Reputation

On November 10, 2017, Taylor unveiled Reputation ,  one of her most popular albums. This era was characterized by a dramatic transformation, as Taylor shed her shy and innocent image for a bolder, empowered persona . Prior to this phase, her private life was constantly under the spotlight, subject to criticism and rumors. Taylor retreated from the public eye for a period, only to reemerge with a new, unapologetic stance. The album’s title aptly signifies her indifference toward public perception. This era was marked by a darker aesthetic, with black as its primary color and prominent imagery of snakes . Standout tracks included «Look What You Made Me Do,» «Delicate,» «Getaway Car,» and «…Ready For It?»

Taylor Swift

Seventh Era: Lover

Taylor’s seventh album, Lover , was released on August 23, 2019 , and marked a significant departure from her previous work, Reputation . This album had a romantic vibe, featuring a sweeter, pastel-colored aesthetic . Notable tracks from this era included «Cruel Summer,» «The Man,» «Afterglow,» «You Need to Calm Down,» and «The Archer.»

Taylor Swift Eras

Eighth Era: Folklore

Released on July 24, 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Folklore surprised fans, and shifted away from pop to explore indie, folk, and electro-acoustic styles. The album’s aesthetic conveyed nostalgia, melancholy, and solitude , reflecting the global mood at the time. Taylor’s style aligned with the folk genre, emphasizing a natural and authentic look. This album gave us cherished tracks like «Cardigan,» «August,» «Mirrorball,» «The Last Great American Dynasty,» «Exile (ft. Bon Iver),» and «Betty.»

Taylor Swift Eras

Ninth Era: Evermore

After the relatively short gap between Lover and Folklore , Taylor Swift surprised fans by releasing Evermore on December 11, 2020 , just a little over four months later. This album continued in a similar musical vein and was described by Taylor as a ‘sibling album’ to Folklore . Both albums were unveiled as surprise releases just hours before their launch. Apparently, Taylor took advantage of the pandemic by continuously creating new songs, treating us to tracks such as «Willow,» «No Body, No Crime (ft. HAIM),» «Coney Island (ft. The National),» and «Champagne Problems.»

Taylor Swift Eras

Tenth Era: Midnights

Taylor’s most recent album, Midnigh ts , was released on October 21, 2022 . Taylor herself explained that the songs delve into the thoughts that keep her awake well past midnight. She described it as ‘a journey through the realms of both terrors and sweet dreams,’ as she shared on her Instagram. Her style has matured in line with her age , featuring an abundance of shimmer and sparkle that reflects her musical career. This album has brought us songs that have already achieved iconic status, including «Anti-Hero,» «Midnight Rain,» «Bejeweled,» «Lavender Haze,» and «Karma.»

But that's largely due to the fact that Swift's stage setup took up more room in the arena, cutting down on the number of available seats.

Number of Eras tickets sold

Swift sold an estimated 4.35 million tickets across 60 tour dates within concert trade publication Pollstar's chart year of Nov. 17, 2022 to Nov. 15, 2023. That's an average of 72,500 tickets per show, with each ticket costing an average of $238.95. Using those numbers to extrapolate across shows played since then, Swift has likely now sold around 6.02 million tickets.

Total Eras Tour gross

Based on the approximately $17.32 million in ticket revenue Pollstar estimates Swift earned for each of the first 60 Eras dates, her total tour gross currently sits somewhere around $1.44 billion. By the end of 2024, the tour is expected to have brought in an astronomical $2.165 billion. For comparison, the second-highest grossing tour of all time, Elton John’s multi-year Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, sold six million tickets over the course of 328 shows to earn $939 million.

Total Eras merch revenue

Taylor Swift Fans Descend On Melbourne Cricket Ground

According to reports from different venues, Pollstar estimates Eras attendees were spending an average of $40 per person on merch at the first 60 Eras shows. That puts Swift's tour merch revenue at an estimated $240.8 million—not including non-concert day purchases—following her first run of 2024 Eras dates.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour box-office earnings

Since its Oct. 13 release in theaters, Swift's record-breaking three-and-a-half-hour concert film has grossed $180,756,269 in North America and $261,656,269 globally at the box office. An extended edition of the movie became available to rent via video on demand services on Swift's birthday, Dec. 13, followed by the longest and most complete version of the film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) , arriving on streaming on Disney+ March 14.

Number of new songs

Since the Eras Tour began, Swift has released two re-recorded albums, Speak Now (Taylor's Version) and 1989 (Taylor's Version) , and one new single, "You're Losing Me (From the Vault)," for a total of 45 new songs (including re-recorded songs and vault tracks). In their first week of sales, Speak Now (Taylor's Version) , which featured one Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hit, and 1989 (Taylor's Version) , which featured seven Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hits, sold 716,000 equivalent album units and 1.653 million equivalent album units, respectively. "You're Losing Me (From the Vault)" tallied 8.7 million official streams and sold 19,000 downloads in the U.S. in the first two days after its Nov. 29 debut, according to Luminate .

Breaking down taylor swift’s tour setlist, era by era, it's taylor’s world and we’re just living in it..

INGLEWOOD, CALIFORNIA - AUGUST 03: EDITORIAL USE ONLY. Taylor Swift performs onstage during "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour" at SoFi Stadium on August 03, 2023 in Inglewood, California. (Photo by Emma McIntyre/TAS23/Getty Images for TAS Rights Management)

Taylor Swift probably needs no introduction given how she’s one of the most listened-to and most influential artists in the world, breaking records left and right with everything she does. That includes the world tour she’s currently busy on, the Eras Tour—a spectacularly-crafted show that lasts more than three hours and spans the entirety of her career , from her debut album to her most recent work .

The Eras Tour kicked off last March in Glendale, Arizona, and officially wrapped up its first leg—the USA one—with six nights at Sofi Stadium in California, from August 3 to August 9. The very last concert, of course, finished with a bang as Swift announced the release of the newest album in her ongoing re-recording project: 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is coming out on October 27. The announcement was anticipated by a series of very Taylor Swift-esque details, including her switching to blue outfits on stage and the significance of the date—her last show at Sofi was on 8/9, after all.

Still, the Eras Tour has a long way to go. 2023 will see Swift traveling through South America, with dates in Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil. And once the new year arrives it will be time to go overseas—from Japan to Australia to Singapore, then a whole series of dates throughout Europe, and finishing stateside with nights in Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, and then Canada.

While there definitely might be some changes to the show for its international leg, it’s likely that the bones of the Eras Tour will remain the same. And that, of course, includes its setlist. Let’s take a deep dive into Taylor Swift’s setlist, breaking it down one era at a time.

The Lover act

The show kicks off with the section dedicated to Lover, her seventh studio album. Swift appears on stage and starts with “Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince” before going into “Cruel Summer”—which famously has the very first bridge of the night, as the singer herself tells the audience. Then it’s “The Man” and “You Need to Calm Down” with a whole ensemble of dancers before more stripped-down versions of both “Lover” and “The Archer.”

@jennadeangelistv THIS ?? BRIDGE ?? IS ?? EVERYTHING. @Taylor Swift #cruelsummer #taylorswift #metlifeday1 #metlifetstheerastour #erastour #iykyk ♬ original sound – Jenna ??

The Fearless act

The second act moves to Swift’s sophomore album Fearless , released back in 2008. After an obligatory costume change into something orange to represent this particular era, Swift performs “Fearless,” “You Belong With Me,” and “Love Story.” This act is also one of the shortest in the whole show.

The Evermore act

The third act takes things from country to witchy for Evermore , the singer’s second-to-last album. This era kicks off with “’tis the damn season” and continues with “willow,” “marjorie,” “champagne problems,” and ends with “tolerate it.”

The Reputation act

One of the most anticipated each night, the fourth act is dedicated to the 2017 album Reputation —which brought Swift back to the public eye after a series of scandals that threatened to end her career. Swift starts off with “…Ready for It?” and “Delicate” before “Don’t Blame Me,” which iconically transitions into “Look What You Made Me Do.”

The Speak Now act

The fifth—and shortest—act evokes Swift’s junior album, Speak Now , whose re-record was released right in the middle of the tour on July 7. The singer performs two songs—”Enchanted” and “Long Live,” which was added after the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) —while wearing a full ball gown, one of the most recognizable outfits from the entire show.

The Red act

The first song of the act dedicated to Swift’s fourth album, Red , is “22”—at the end of which the singer gives away the hat she’s wearing to a fan who is chosen in advance. Then it’s time for “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and “I Knew You Were Trouble”, before she finishes the act with “All Too Well.”

The Folklore act

The seventh act is dedicated to Folklore and it’s a triumph of cottagecore. The first song when the tour started was “invisible string,” which was replaced by “the 1.” Swift continues with “betty,” “the last great american dynasty,” “august,” “illicit affairs,” and “my tears ricochet.” The final song of this era is “cardigan.”

The 1989 act

The second-to-last act of the show starts with “Style” and continues with “Blank Space,” “Shake It Off,” “Wildest Dreams,” and “Bad Blood.” At the end of this act, there’s the famed acoustics set where Swift sits down to play two surprise songs —one on the guitar and one on the piano. The surprise songs have become one of the most recurring inside jokes throughout the tour, with fans guessing what the two songs of the night will be before the show and sharing their reactions after. Fans have also been keeping track of which songs have been played, though it’s likely that the count will reset for the international dates.

The Midnights act

The final act of the show is dedicated to the most recent album Swift released, Midnights . The act opens with “Lavender Haze” and continues with “Anti-Hero,” “Midnight Rain,” and “Vigilante Shit”—with its by-now iconic blue bodysuit and chair dance choreography. “Bejeweled” also features a TikTok-inspired dance move that has gone viral, and then Swift finishes off the show with “Mastermind” and “Karma,” and a healthy dose of fireworks and confetti, as all good closings should have.

Every Song In Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (& Which Were Cut)

  • Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour movie captures the spectacle and nostalgia of her record-breaking concert series, spanning her 18-year career.
  • Featuring over 40 songs, the film offers three versions with varying setlists, showcasing Swift's journey through her 10-album musical past and present.
  • Each version of the concert movie, available in theaters, VOD, and Disney+, highlights different tracks while reaffirming Swift's status as a global pop icon.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie takes the singer-songwriter's record-breaking concert series and brings it to the big and small screens, with over 40 songs from her 18-year career included on the setlist. There are now three versions of The Eras Tour movie : October 2023's theatrical release, December 2023's VOD release, and March 2024's Disney+ streaming release. Unlike its live event counterpart, each version of The Eras Tour movie leaves a few of Swift's biggest songs on the cutting room floor. Even so, it's not enough to incite any "Bad Blood" among fans; the concert movie is packed with all the spectacle, nostalgia, and thrills of Swift's billion dollar-earning Eras Tour .

The theatrical version of Swift's staggering three-hour performance clocks in at around 169 minutes, with the Disney+ streaming version clocking at the full three and a half hours . A journey through Taylor Swift's 10-album musical past and present, The Eras Tour movie fulfills every fan's "Wildest Dreams." Though songs from every album are featured on the movie's setlist, each version of the concert film has a different number of tracks cut for time-sensitive issues. The Eras Tour movie is the cherry on top of an ultra-successful tour for Taylor Swift — and every song in the film reiterates that she's not just a beloved musician, but a global pop icon .

Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince

Album/era: lover.

The opening song on Swift's The Eras Tour movie, "Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince" comes from Swift's seventh studio album, Lover . With a lyric that boasts, " It's you and me, that's my whole world " and a decidedly upbeat energy, it's hard to argue with this song's position as the concert opener. Plus, the Lover era's positioning allows Swift to pay proper homage to the 2020 concert tour that never happened.

Cruel Summer

One of her biggest releases in recent years , "Cruel Summer" also comes from Taylor Swift's seventh studio album , Lover . The chart-topping radio hit is not only easy to sing along to, with an incredibly catchy chorus that every audience member is sure to know, but it's also the first narrative-driven track on the Eras Tour setlist.

After enjoying much-deserved applause from the audience at Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium, Swift playfully acknowledges that all the adoration might just go to her head. The cheers make her feel like " The Man, " she says, before launching into the Lover track of the same name. A fun bit of staging sees the singer kicking her bedazzled boots up in an office cubicle, all while rocking a shiny silver blazer that's an ode to Taylor Swift's iconic music video for "The Man."

The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) , which is the most complete version of the concert film, is available to stream exclusively on Disney+. The entire setlist is available to stream through music platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.

You Need To Calm Down

The penultimate song off of Lover , "You Need to Calm Down" is a divisive one. Like so many of Swift's singles, it feels a bit disconnected from the rest of the album (though it's certainly a marked improvement over "ME!"). Even so, there's no denying that the song makes for a great live performance. With a catchy chorus and plenty of opportunities for Swift to pull some theatrical, it's a welcome addition to the setlist.

To close out the Lover era in the theatrical and VOD films, Swift plays the album's title song on an appropriately pink guitar. The twangs of the sweet, slow-burn love song are a welcome break from the blood-pumping tracks that opened the concert. Not to mention, "Lover" allows Swift to transition pretty seamlessly into another acoustic guitar-driven era — Fearless .

How To Watch Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour

The archer (taylor's version).

Originally cut from the box office record-smashing theatrical version of The Eras Tour movie, the hit Lover song "The Archer" is included in the setlist in the Disney+ streaming version of the concert film. Rather than the titular track, Disney+'s The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) sees "The Archer" close out the Lover era before moving into Fearless .

Album/Era: Fearless

After a quick costume change, Swift bounces back on stage wearing a gold-and-silver dress and strumming a sparkly silver guitar , all of which recalls the singer's Fearless era. Swift opens the shorter chapter in the show with the title track, inviting long-time Swifties to belt out the radio hit's catchy chorus alongside her.

You Belong With Me

It's anything but a " typical Tuesday " night when fans get to sing along with Taylor Swift to her classic "You Belong With Me." For those who may not have been lucky enough to snag a seat in the bleachers (or elsewhere) on the Eras Tour , Swift makes moviegoers feel like proper cheer captains while singing this one — a song that's sure to put a smile on every viewer's face.

Another early career-defining hit , "Love Story" consumed the airwaves upon its release, becoming a love-it-or-hate-it track for many. With its very country feel, the song captures the feeling of first love — and the desire to turn it into a fairy tale — perfectly. Watching Swift perform it all these years later, with hindsight and wisdom, is even more exciting.

Album/Era: Evermore

After closing out the Fearless era, Swift returns to the stage with a completely different vibe. To sell "willow," the lead single off her ninth studio album, evermore , Swift dresses in a witchy green cloak, surrounded by her coven of orb-toting witches. The backdrop of mist-laden pine trees only furthers this song's remarkable visuals, making "willow" a truly stand-out moment.

How Much Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Has Made At The Box Office (& How Much It Cost)

While not a chart-topper, "Marjorie" is one of Swift's most deeply personal songs — and a clear fan-favorite track. An ode to her late grandmother, "Marjorie" sees the singer giving one of her most emotional performances of the night, which is made all the more intimate by the fact that the SoFi audience holds their lit phones high, like candles, and sways to the melancholy tune.

Champagne Problems

The evermore era is full of memorable moments, and none of them miss the mark. After singing solo in the glow of the audience's lights during "Marjorie," Swift sits down at a moss-covered piano for one of the album's most beloved tracks, "champagne problems." While the artist is known for her mastery of a good bridge, the build and lyrics of "champagne problems " make for one of the most fun tracks for Swifties to belt out either alone or together.

Tolerate It

To close out the evermore era, Swift returns to the heavy staging of "willow," but strips things down a bit. Instead of playing in a witchy forest, Swift sings the heart-wrenching "tolerate it" to a soon-to-be ex-partner. Sitting across from him at a long dinner table, Swift captures the emotional distance of the song perfectly — and the drama of her swiping items off the furniture and then crawling toward the other actor is just great.

… Ready For It?

Album/era: reputation.

There's simply no other way to open the Reputation era. "...Ready For It?" will have viewers standing up in the theater chanting, " let the games begin! " as if Swift hasn't already been playing for over an hour. While Reputation received mixed reactions upon its release , there's no doubt that some of its songs were made for a stadium tour.

One of Swift's most beloved songs off of Reputation , her sixth studio album , "Delicate" is about a burgeoning relationship — one that Swift wants to start quickly, but without scaring off her partner-to-be. The track perfectly captures that flutter of anticipation and excitement, and it's hard not to grin while singing along with Swift.

Don’t Blame Me

" Lord, save me, my drug is my baby/ I'll be usin' for the rest of my life, " Swift belts in "Don't Blame Me," the penultimate song of the Reputation era. Again, this is one of those tracks that was written to be sung live in front of a massive audience and finds Swift digging deep to provide a vocally charged performance.

Look What You Made Me Do

The last song in the Reputation era is one of the highlights of Taylor Swift's: The Eras Tour movie. "Look What You Made Me Do," the lead single off the album , sees Swift singing about her new self — while her past self bang on glass cages. It's an incredibly fun trip through the eras of Taylor Swift's career (and her most memorable looks) and the backup dancers help make this number soar.

Album/Era: Speak Now

The only song Swift delivers from the Speak Now era in the theatrical version , "Enchanted" is, simply put, an enchanting performance. With purple lighting and a periwinkle princess-like dress, Swift sings the beautiful 2010 song in one of the concert's softer moments. It's a much-needed comedown that's perfectly sandwiched between Reputation and Red .

Long Live (Taylor's Version)

Among the most disappointing song omissions from the theatrical version of The Eras Tour movie was her Speak Now track "Long Live." While the song played over The Eras Tour movie's closing credits, her performance in concert was enthralling. The song is finally restored to the setlist in the Disney+ version of The Eras Tour movie , where it plays directly after "Enchanted" in her Speak Now era.

Album/Era: Red

Swift kicks off the Red era with her chart-topping "22" — and, for those in the audience, it really will " feel like the perfect night. " An infectious track, "22" sees Swift donning her iconic black bowler cap as well as a white T-shirt that references one of the song's more funny moments.

These Are The Best Performances From Each Era In The Eras Tour, And No, I Won't Be Accepting Criticism

“Her name is Taylor, and she’ll be your host a few hours earlier than expected!"

Emily Ana

Community Contributor

BuzzFeed Community Team

Taylor Swift , with Disney+, decided to release Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie a few hours earlier than we were expecting. In honor of this, let's go through memorable live song moments in each era. Come along as we visit each iconic Eras Tour performance.

Lover : "cruel summer".

Person on stage in a sparkly jumpsuit with a microphone

The Lover era starts the concert, and the most iconic performance must go to "Cruel Summer." Even though " Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince" starts the show, "Cruel Summer" is the first full song. During this song, fans get to scream at the bridge, and everyone truly enjoys singing along. This brings up the rating compared to other performances.

Fearless : "Fearless"

Taylor Swift performing on stage with a guitar, forming a heart shape with her hands above her head

"Fearless" is the album's title track, sung during the Eras Tour. It is hard to pick a favorite from the Fearless set because all songs, including "Love Story" and "You Belong With Me," are memorable to the fans. However, what makes "Fearless" stand out is everyone holding up Taylor's signature heart hands at the end of the song.

Evermore : "Tolerate It"

Taylor Swift wearing a sleeveless, embellished yellow dress on stage

The Evermore set has multiple excellent performances, such as the songs "Champagne Problems," "Marjorie," and "Willow." However, the most popular one has to be "Tolerate It." If you have seen the performance, this song is performed almost like a movie, with Swift sitting across the table with one of her dancers who plays Swift's lover. However, before the dancer walks in and the song starts, Swift sets the table to reference the lyric "lays the table with the fancy sh*t." The man does almost nothing the whole time as Swift sings to him. It is as if she is singing directly to him with the powerful lyrics, and he is just tolerating her. She mostly sits and watches her "lover," as one of the most repeated lyrics in the song is "I sit and watch you." It is very moving as the song is about watching a love fall apart, and this performance shows that.

Reputation : "Don’t Blame Me"/"Look What You Made Me Do (LWYMMD)"

Taylor Swift performing on stage in a black sequined outfit with backup dancers behind her

These two songs go straight into each other, an iconic moment during the Eras Tour. Both songs are combined as one in the show. "Don't Blame Me" shows off Swift's high vocals, and lasers point up to the stadium roof during the performance. The switch to "LWYMMD" is smooth, bringing much attention to these two songs together. "LWYMMD" brings out her dancers in boxes, dressed as Taylor from past eras. This represents her past, dealing with all her albums being taken away from her by her former manager. Also, the performance references the "LWYMMD" music video. Fans also believed she hinted at new re-recordings during some tour dates. So these two are some of the fan's favorites during the Reputation set.

Speak Now : "Long Live"

Taylor Swift singing and playing guitar on stage with a purple backdrop. She wears a glittery dress

The Speak Now era is one of the shorter sets in the tour. However, two of the most famous songs from the album are performed. "Long Live: was added to the setlist after the release of Speak Now (Taylor's Version) . This song was one of the fans' favorite songs on the tour. This song is dedicated to the fans; many enjoy screaming their hearts out for this one.

Red : "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)"

Taylor Swift performs with guitar, wearing a glittery outfit with bright stage lights behind her

There is much to say about "All Too Well" being a memorable moment in the Red set. You get 10 minutes to sing along to a fan-favorite off of the album, and the performance is mainly just Taylor with her guitar singing. While the original song is not 10 minutes long, Swift re-recorded the Red album and included this 10-minute version. When this was recorded, Swift had just gone through a breakup and was not in a good place. She entered the studio, sat down, and started belting these lyrics. Luckily, someone on her team had recorded it all; that is how the 10-minute version came to life.

Folklore : "My Tears Ricochet"

Taylor Swift performing on stage with a hologram of herself in the background. She wears a green dress

Folklore has many amazing performances, with this one being one of the more extended Eras Tour sets, which includes eight songs off the album. "My Tears Ricochet" is up there for multiple fans. One thing that stands out for "MTR" is Swift’s choreography for the bridge. Throughout the tour's first US run, the media and fans talked about the way the bridge is emphasized.

1989 : "Blank Space"

Performer on stage at a concert with bright stage lights and audience in the background

Of all the songs for the 1989 set, "Blank Space" is one to remember. Even though the choreography is more straightforward in this song, what stands out is Swift on top of a car projection with her and her dancers all swinging around golf clubs. The golf clubs and car reference the "Blank Space" music video. Also, we can't forget the light-up bikes on stage, which add to this performance!

Acoustic set: "You’re on Your Own, Kid"

Taylor Swift performing at a microphone with a sparkling backdrop. She wears a sleeveless top

Now, we are on everyone's favorite set, the acoustic set. This is the set where Swift sings two songs that change every tour show; fans call these "surprise songs." There is little to choose from when discussing the movie, as they only show a few surprise songs. However, Swift played multiple songs for the live concert throughout her tour. "You're on Your Own, Kid" is a part of the movie theater version and streaming on the Disney+ one; you can tell Swift genuinely loves performing this song live. Also, with the friendship bracelet line in the song, fans love to hold up their friendship bracelets. Trading friendship bracelets have been a big way to show camaraderie with fans on this tour!

And Midnights : "Vigilante Sh*t"

Taylor Swift performs on stage in a glittering outfit with a pattern, seated on a stool

The last set is Midnights , and one of the most iconic performances on the Eras Tour is "Vigilante Sh*t." It is a fan-favorite — everyone talks about this song having the most incredible and sexy choreography.

That concludes the most memorable performances from the Eras Tour. You can watch the new version of the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie on March 14 on Disney+ at 9 p.m. ET. Now, let’s hear from you about your favorite performances on the Eras Tour — comment down below!

The movie was shot over three nights in Los Angeles and included helicopter, drone and onstage camera angles. By now everyone knows the ringleader of The Eras Tour, but what about the cast and crew who shine alongside her?

The Eras Tour band is led by Mike Meadows and Max Bernstein. Meadows has been with Swift for more than 15 years, starting on her "Fearless" tour. The guitarist also sings and plays keyboards, cello, harmonica and mandolin. In a cute TikTok, his wife shared a compilation video from Nissan Stadium about how proud she is . Swift places her arm on Meadows during "Love Story" at 33:12.

Max Bernstein rocks out on the guitar, keyboards and pedal steel, which is a steel guitar with pedals and knee levers. He shared a post on Instagram with the caption , "So incredibly grateful to be a little part of the biggest and best show." He joined Swift for the "Reputation Stadium Tour" in 2018. His parents are journalists Nora Ephron and Carl Bernstein, and his brother Jacob is a reporter for The New York Times. Bernstein is to the right of Swift and her "Fearless" heart hands at 26:12.

Paul Sidoti may be the most well known band member. His distinct rocker hair is almost as big as his stage presence. Sidoti has been a vocalist and guitarist with the singer since 2007. He is approachable on the tour and has taken photos with fans in the audience. Sidoti's website also says he's available for "online guitar, bass, and piano lessons via Zoom." Swift touches Sidoti's face during "You Belong With Me" while singing "you've got a smile that can light up this whole town" at 28:15.

Amos Heller is the bassist. Like many of Swift's bandmates, the husband and father of three has been with her since 2007. Heller picked up his first electric bass at 13. His cover of Metallica's "Blackened" shows he's a master thrasher. Swift struts with Heller during "You Belong With Me" at 27:58.

Ooomph! Matthew Billingslea is the drummer crashing the cymbals, beating the toms and pedaling the bass. In 2023, he was nominated for pop drummer of the year at the Drumeo Awards. Billingslea joined Swift's band in 2013 for the Red Tour. Billingslea pops up during "Fearless" at 25:38.

Rounding out the bandmates is Karina DePiano . The classically trained pianist gets a shoutout from the singer following Swift's performance of "Champagne Problems." DePiano performs an interlude at 50:35 while Swift sets a table before singing "Tolerate It." DePiano started 2024 with a Pianote nomination for pop pianist of the year .

'We sing it proudly'

The fearless ladies who make up Swift's choir are "The Starlights."

Up first is Melanie Nyema , the section leader. The vocal virtuoso has backed many artists including Gladys Knight, Sara Bareilles, Solange Knowles, Florence + The Machine and Imagine Dragons. She's been with Swift since 2012 when she performed "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" at the VMAs. Check out her spiritual version of "Gotta Have You." Nyema is left of Swift at 30:33 when she hugs "The Starlights."

Kamilah Marshall is the vocalist dance captain. Marshall came into the fold during the Red Tour. Her song "Canyon" showcases her writing and singing in an outpouring of gratitude. The Broadway actress has credits including "Hairspray" and "Lion King." In 2021, she told the Academic Magnet High School newspaper in South Carolina, "I know I’m supposed to be doing what I do.” You can also see her in the dinner scene of " All Too Well: The Short Film ." Marshall is the "cheer captain" on the left at 28:52 during the "Fearless" era.

Jeslyn Gorman joined Swift during her Red Tour. The vocal riffer has a song, "Falling Like Snow," and has toured with stars Meghan Trainor, Jason Derulo, Rita Ora and Nick Jonas. The Florida native and latte enthusiast moved to Los Angeles. Gorman, like the other "Starlights," thanked Swift on her birthday, "Your heart and generosity is beyond BEYOND. And just when I think you’ve DONE IT, you TOP THAT!" Gorman shimmies at 32:40.

Eliotte Woodford wears the purple "Speak Now" dress and bangs the side of her vitrine during the "Look What You Made Me Do" portion of the Eras Tour at 1:07:38. Woodford has been with Swift since 2013. The wife and mother graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, where she was a part of the a cappella group the "Mosaic Whispers." Her singing and dancing reel shows her early work with Swift .

'I don't wanna dance if I'm not dancing with you'

Fifteen dancers led by choreographer Mandy Moore and associate choreographers Amanda Balen and Jeremy Hudson create some of the most iconic moments during the 10 eras. Moore met Swift through mutual friend Emma Stone who worked with Moore on "La La Land." Her credits are extensive. Most recently, she put together the exemplary Ryan Gosling performance of "I'm Just Ken" at the Oscars.

Amanda Balen is the dance captain. The blond beauty hails from Ontario, Canada. She is famous among the Lady Gaga fandom for dancing in several of the star's music videos and being a part of the Roseland Ballroom residency in New York City in 2014. Balen has worked with Katy Perry and Pink. You can find her at 14:18 during "The Man" to the left of Swift.

Tori Evans lights up the stage. In her decade-plus career, the University of Arizona alumnus has been featured in Ricky Martin music video "Qué Rico Fuera" , swam in synchro-formation next to Beyoncé and strutted on "The Masked Singer ." Evans' resume also includes dancing for Cardi B, Mary J Blige, Jason Derulo and Maroon 5. Her dance teacher of 15 years, Lana Wright, told Morgan Hill Life , "Tori was always that ray of sunshine... I always knew Tori could accomplish her goals, if she really wanted it." You can catch Evans during "Blank Space." She hands Swift a glow-up club at 2:13:45.

Audrey Douglass has danced with the devil, in addition to many other television credits. The performer has boogied and waltzed on Netflix's "Lucifer," Apple TV+'s "The Morning Show," FX's "American Horror Story: 1984," Paramount+'s "1923" and "Dancing with the Stars." Douglass serves up sass as "Shay" in Dua Lipa's "Physical" work out video . Dancing runs in the family, because Douglass' older sister, Hannah, was one of the co-captain dancers on Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour . As the "Lover" house burns down, you can see Douglass to the left of Swift at 2:22:52.

Jan Ravnik (pronounced "yawn") is the smooth dancer who caught the eye of social media with his abs-olutely distracting "Lavender Haze" ladder dance . The Slovenian dancer has worked with Paula Abdul, Mariah Carey, Bruno Mars, Khalid and Luis Fonsi. Ravnik was awarded the "Best Dancer in Slovenia" and credited as the "Best Trainer/Choreographer" by the Slovenian Olympic committee. When he's not grooving on the international stage, he goes for long distance bike rides and takes artsy photos. You can see what's got the internet's attention at 2:36:46.

Taylor Banks strikes like a viper at 55:48, during "...Ready For It?" Banks was born in New Orleans, grew up in Pennsylvania and moved to Los Angeles to shine. The dancer has been moving to the beat since she was 3 and been featured with artists including Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Cher, Ciara, Chris Brown, Jessie J, The Jacksons, Jason Derulo, Dua Lipa, Billie Eillish and Beyoncé. The fitness model has repped brands like Nike, Reebok, Skechers and Under Armour.

Sydney Moss was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. The spunky and fun dancer moved to Los Angeles after high school and has worked with Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Doja Cat, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez. Moss has a beautiful rendition of "You're Losing Me" with fellow dancer Jan Ravnik. She dresses Swift in her bejeweled blazer during "The Man" at 9:03.

Natalie Lecznar is a former Radio City Rockette. The Chapman University graduate married her college sweetheart. She was on Season 5 of "So You Think You Can Dance." The vibrant dancer is easy to spot with her fire-red locks. She is known for her performance in the "Folklore" era when she becomes Rebekah Harkness during the "Last Great American Dynasty" at 1:51:41.

Whyley Yoshimura , why don't you come on over and shake, shake, shake? The dancer notably flips his long hair, still smooth despite the humidity, during "Shake It Off" at 2:17:40. Yoshimura is a native Hawaiian who went to the Kamehameha Schools on Oahu. He started dancing for Janet Jackson at 18 and went on to be her assistant choreographer for the "Unbreakable Tour." He is an LGBTQI+ advocate for the Rainbow Railroad .

Raphael Thomas is the "Tolerate It" star at 54:02. The Jamaican's nickname is "The Sandman." He toured with Mary J. Blige on the "Good Morning Gorgeous" tour , was featured in Rihanna's "Savage X Fenty Show" on Amazon Prime, danced for Janet Jackson in the 85 West Music Festival and lit up the stage with Beyonce during her "Homecoming" performance at Coachella.

Kevin Scheitzbach polishes up real nice! The "Bejeweled" dancer gets a breakout moment at 2:47:13 strutting some of his best moves. Scheitzbach specializes in jazz funk and street styles of dance. He runs FlowXS , a choreography company, with his equally charismatic and talented brother Michael. The two grew up in Toronto, Canada.

Kameron Saunders is the only dancer with a speaking line that he switches up nightly at the Eras Tour during "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" at 1:26:33. The ebullient dancer also shines during a "Bejeweled" dance solo at 2:48:10. The Missourian was honored in Kansas City when the council dubbed Jan. 25 Kameron Saunders Day of Dance. You can catch him and his fast-footed moves in the ensemble of "The Color Purple" and "Spirited." Saunders' brother Khalen is a defensive tackle for the New Orleans Saints.

Natalie Peterson is a professional dancer, fitness instructor, dance educator and Amazon influencer . The Chapman University graduate specialized in Latin dance. Before the Eras Tour, she served as the assistant choreographer for Karol G’s "Bichota Tour" and got her Lagree Fitness certification. You can spot her twirling in "Style" on the right of Swift at 2:10:39.

Tamiya Lewis is the crowd pleaser who wheels the "Red" road case onto the stage. During the tour, she opens it to reveal song snippets from "State of Grace," "Holy Ground," "Red" and "Everything Has Changed" (depending on the show). That part was cut from the movie, but you still see her bringing the case onstage to unleash hundreds of red balloons at 1:20:12. The 21-year-old is an alumnus of the Velocity Dance Convention , a dance convention and competition that provides classes to dancers across the U.S.

Sam Mcwilliams is the lovable dancer who appears to the right of Swift at 2:09:56. If you don't blink, you can also catch his famous "Style" flip at 2:10:41. The Oregon native has been dancing for most of his life. Check out a video of him in 2017 dancing to Meghan Trainor's "Me Too." In 2021, he was named the Radix senior male core performer , and he almost made the top 12 on Season 17 of "So You Think You Can Dance." Recently, Mcwilliams showed off his lyrical, limber and tumble talents in a duet dance with fellow dancer Jan Ravnik .

Karen Chuang hands Swift her microphone during "The Man" at 9:26. A few seconds later as she's poring over a typewriter, Swift takes her paper and chucks it. Chuang is officially a Gleek as one of her first television appearances was as a Vocal Adrenaline dancer in "Another One Bites The Dust." She also performed in the 2016 "Grease Live!" and Lady Gaga's Super Bowl halftime show. Chuang graduated Summa Cum Laude from UCLA.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour

Taylor Swift has set a new record with the premiere of her “Eras Tour” concert film on Disney+ .

“ Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)” had 4.6 million views on Disney+ in its first three days of release — making it the No. 1 music film ever on the platform, according to the company. Swifties watched 16.2 million hours of the blockbuster three-and-a-half-hour concert film on Disney+ over this past weekend. Disney+ defines a “view” as total stream time divided by runtime.

Other music films and specials currently available on Disney+ include Swift’s own “Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions,” “Elton John: Farewell From Dodger Stadium,” “Black Is King: A Film by Beyoncé” and “The Beatles: Get Back.”

Disney reportedly paid  more than $75 million for worldwide streaming rights to “The Eras Tour”  concert film, which Swift’s company produced.

In its theatrical release, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” generated $261.7 million at the global box office after its Oct. 13 debut, making it the highest-grossing concert film to date. The film was released digitally via Universal Pictures on Dec. 13, Swift’s birthday, with three bonus songs not in the theatrical release — “Wildest Dreams,” “The Archer” and “Long Live” — which are also in the Disney+ version.

Taylor Swift gave fans a lot more than they bargained for at the 2024 Grammys, dropping the bombshell news mid-acceptance speech that her new album, The Tortured Poets Department, is arriving this year.

The welcome news came as the pop star was accepting best pop vocal for her 2022 record Midnights — aka, the last album she announced without warning during an awards show acceptance speech . “This is my 13th Grammy – which is my lucky number, I don’t know if I’ve ever told you that,” she teased the crowd from the stage at Crypto.com Arena Sunday (Feb. 4). “I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years …”

Taylor Swift Shocks Fans By Revealing Brand New Album ‘The Tortured Poets Department…

Swift went on to reveal the pending arrival of The Tortured Poets Department before posting the album’s sultry cover almost immediately after she left the stage. “All’s fair in love and poetry…,” she captioned the artwork. “New album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT.”

Later that night, the 34-year-old singer-songwriter took home a historic fourth album of the year for Midnights , but Swifties were probably more excited for the new LP announcement, especially because most were expecting that the musician would announce her long-awaited Reputation (Taylor’s Version) at the ceremony instead — so much so that “Rep TV” was trending ahead of the Grammys. Swift has been steadily releasing re-recorded versions of her first six albums since 2021. Following Fearless , Red , Speak Now and 1989 , she only has her self-titled debut and Rep left to go — but clearly, fans will just have to wait a little longer as the Tortured Poets era takes hold.

From the release date to the song titles, see everything Billboard knows about Swift’s 11th album The Tortured Poets Department below.

Obviously, the album is called The Tortured Poets Department — but fans suspect there are layers to that title. Namely, Swifties were quick to note how similar it sounds to a certain group chat shared by Swift’s ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn and Paul Mescal, as revealed by the two actors in a December 2022 Variety interview: “The Tortured Man Club.”

In the black-and-white album cover shared by Swift moments after announcing the album, she poses in a black top and shorts with her arms wrapped around her body, lying back on white bedding. Similar to the original 1989 cover, the top half of her face is obstructed.

Stylist Joseph Cassell  revealed on Instagram  that the photo features Swift wearing a black cami tank top and matching high-rise briefs from Mary Kate and Ashley’s fashion brand The Row.

When It's Coming

As revealed by Swift in her Grammys speech, The Tortured Poets Department arrives Friday, April 19.

The Tracklist

Swift shared the album’s full tracklist one day after announcing the project, revealing that Tortured Poets has a total of 16 songs plus one bonus track:

  • “Fortnight”
  • “The Tortured Poets Department”
  • “My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys”
  • “Down Bad”
  • “So Long, London”
  • “But Daddy I Love Him”
  • “Fresh Out the Slammer”
  • “Florida!!!!”
  • “Guilty as Sin?”
  • “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?”
  • “I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)”
  • “loml”
  • “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart”
  • “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived”
  • “The Alchemy”
  • “Clara Bow”

Bonus Track: “The Manuscript”

The Collaborators

The Tortured Poets Department tracklist featured two major collaborations: Post Malone, whose name is billed on track one, “Fortnight,” as well as Florence + The Machine on track eight, “Florida!!!”

Both Posty and Florence Welch have sung Swift’s praises in the past, with the rapper calling the pop star “a great f—in’ songwriter” in an October 2023 interview with Howard Stern, and Welch and Swift trading compliments in a 2015 Billboard interview.

“What sets Florence apart? Everything,” Swift said at the time. “Every time I’ve been around her, she is the most magnetic person in the room — surrounded by people who are fascinated by the idea of being near her.”

A Possible Lyric

While sharing the album’s cover art to Instagram, Swift also included a photo of what appeared to be a handwritten lyric from one of the project’s tracks. “And so I enter into evidence/ My tarnished coat of arms,” reads the message, penned in black pink on white stationary labeled “TTPD.”

“My muses, acquired like bruises/ My talismans and charms/ The tick, tick, tick of love bombs,” it continues. “My veins of pitch black ink.”

“All’s fair in love and poetry …,” Swift signed off the note. “Sincerely, The Chairman of The Tortured Poets Department.”

Travis Kelce Approves

Swift’s superstar boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, revealed in a pre-Super Bowl press interview that he got to be one of the singer’s beta listeners for The Tortured Poets Department — and his review was a rave.

“I have heard some of it, yes, and it’s unbelievable,” he told Extra on the field at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. “I can’t wait for her to shake up the world when it finally drops.”

How Long It's Been in the Works

During her first Eras Tour show in Japan on Feb. 7 — just days after first announcing Tortured Poets — Swift revealed that the project had been in the making for a little while. “I’ve been working on it for about two years,” she told her crowd at Tokyo Dome. “I kept working on it throughout the U.S. tour, and when it was perfect — in my opinion when it’s good enough for you — I finished it and I am so, so excited that soon you’ll get to hear it.”

She also noted, “I’ve been working on Tortured Poets since right after I turned in Midnights ,” which would’ve been a few months before the latter album dropped in October 2022.

'The Bolter' Edition

Swift announced a second version of Tortured Poets dubbed “The Bolter” during her Feb. 16, 2024, Eras Tour stop in Melbourne, complete with an alternate cover that reads “You don’t get to tell me about sad” on the back.

In place of “The Manuscript,” she confirmed that this edition of the album will feature a bonus track also titled “The Bolter.”

It Was Therapeutic to Write

While discussing the album during her Feb. 16, 2024, show in Melbourne — the same one she announced “The Bolter” special edition — Swift revealed that Tortured Poets is her most cathartic project yet.

“It kind of reminded me of why songwriting is something that actually gets me through my life,” she shared, sitting at her floral-painted surprise song piano. “I’ve never had an album where I needed songwriting more than I needed it on Tortured Poets .”

You’re Losing Me is THE surprise song #MelbourneTSTheErasTour 💛 pic.twitter.com/F9R9fa3Rxt — Iasmina 💌 (@iasmina012) February 16, 2024

'The Albatross' Edition

About a week after announcing the “Bolter” edition of Tortured Poets , Swift unveiled another Tortured Poets installment called “The Albatross” during her Feb. 23, 2024, show in Sydney, Australia. Again, the third version of the album features its own cover and limited bonus track.

Merriam-Webster defines the term “albatross” as “large web-footed seabirds that have long slender wings, are excellent gliders, and include the largest seabirds” as well as “something that causes persistent deep concern or anxiety.”

“Am I allowed to cry?” reads the back cover.

'The Black Dog' Edition

At her March 3 Eras Tour performance in Singapore, Swift announced the fourth — and final — version of Tortured Poets . Titled “The Black Dog,” the issue’s cover features a black-and-white portrait of the singer dramatically wrapping her arms around her head.

Complete with its own bonus track, the “Black Dog” edition’s tagline is as follows: “Old habits die screaming…”

Screen Rant

Why taylor swift almost completely ignores her debut album on the eras tour (despite the title).

On The Eras Tour, Taylor Swift sets out to take audiences through the entirety of her career, yet has largely ignored her debut album.

  • Swift's Eras Tour celebrates her career with hits from each album, but excludes songs from her self-titled debut due to minimal popularity.
  • Swift is re-recording her albums as "Taylor's Version," but has yet to re-record her debut album.
  • Swift connects more with current music and plays surprise songs from her debut album on The Eras Tour acoustic set.

As seen in Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour , Swift encapsulates her decades-long career on stage, but doesn't sing anything from her self-titled debut album. Swift embarked on The Eras Tour beginning in 2023 with the idea of celebrating her impressive career by performing her greatest hits from each "era" or album . Swift also got the chance to perform songs from albums that had come out between her last tour and The Eras Tour, such as f olklore and Midnights . Still, Swift has yet to include her first album, Taylor Swift , on the setlist.

Throughout the past few years, Swift has been on the journey to re-record her albums , renaming them with the subtitle, Taylor's Version . Before the release of Speak Now (Taylor's Version) , songs from the original album were given a similar treatment to Taylor Swift , having a limited presence on tour. Even so, while Swift only performed one song from Speak Now , "Enchanted," it was still part of the official setlist and later, she added "Long Live" as well. However, the same cannot be said for Taylor Swift, as it only appears periodically in the acoustic section of The Eras Tour.

Not Even The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) Will Restore The Movie's Most Surprising Cut Taylor Swift Song

Taylor swift's eras tour ignores her debut album due to its lack of popularity, taylor swift's debut album doesn't contribute much to her overall streams..

While there's no definitive answer as to why Swift ignores her debut album on The Eras Tour, one of the most notable factors setting it apart is the lack of streams . Due to the success of The Eras Tour and public interest in her re-recording endeavors, Swift ended 2023 as the top artist on Spotify (via CNN ). However, of her biggest hits on Spotify, which include "Cruel Summer" from Lover and "Don't Blame Me" from Reputation , the presence of Swift's debut is scarce. According to kworb.net , the first song from Taylor Swift to appear is "Our Song" at number 64.

At the time of publication, these numbers were last updated as of March 14, 2024.

Taylor Swift was released in 2006, when Swift was 16 years old, and includes her diaristic writing from an early age.

It's also important to consider Swift's inability to connect with the content of her older music. Taylor Swift was released in 2006, when Swift was 16 years old, and includes her diaristic writing from an early age, including a song she wrote at age 12, "The Outside." Swift has addressed her younger self in recent music, such as "You're On Your Own, Kid" from Midnights , but this is done from the perspective of an adult , reflecting on her life thus far, rather than detailing current adolescent experiences as she does on her debut album.

Every Song From Her Debut Album Taylor Swift Has Played On The Eras Tour

Taylor swift has played almost every song from her debut album as a surprise song..

On The Eras Tour, Swift implemented an acoustic set, also known as the "surprise songs," for each show, where she performs a song of hers excluded from the setlist. As a result, Swift has performed almost the entirety of her debut album. The only songs that remain are "Mary's Song (Oh My My My)" and "A Perfectly Good Heart."
