Polaris announce 10 year anniversary tour

The Sydney favourites are hitting the road to celebrate a decade of metalcore excellence.
Polaris are marking ten years in the game by doing what they do best, taking their acclaimed live show right around the country.
As they prepare to enter a new chapter of music as a band, Polaris are throwing it back to their formative days with this anniversary run, paying homage to the venues that supported them when they toured their beloved debut album, The Mortal Coil , back in 2017.
Joining Polaris on tour, we've got Void Of Vision and Pridelands from Melbourne; both bands who have shared some sick experiences with Polaris over the years, but bands who have also been taking strides in Australia and overseas recently, too.
"Over the course of the ten years and four records that followed, we worked our way through every community hall, theatre or dive that would take us, sleeping on the floors of vans and sharehouses in the name of metalcore," Polaris drummer Daniel Furnari has said.
"Sometimes it feels like we're just getting started, but as we reach this milestone it seems on right to take stock and reminisce a little about the journey so far."
The tour promises a wide-ranging set list; pulling rarities from the catalogue and detailing the growing Polaris discography, including the ARIA nominated albums The Mortal Coil and The Death Of Me .
Most recently, Polaris performed on the Good Things festival tour of the East Coast in December 2022 -- a tour that saw the group perform on a bill that boasted the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, Deftones and The Amity Affliction.
Tickets for the 10th anniversary Polaris tour are on sale from 10am local time, Thursday 19 January, through www.destroyalllines.com . Be warned though, no additional shows will be added to this run so if you wanna get along, make sure you act quick!

Polaris Announce 10-Year Anniversary Tour with Void of Vision and Pridelands
Sydney metalcore outfit Polaris will celebrate a decade since their formation with a 10-year anniversary tour in March. They will be joined by guests Void of Vision and Pridelands .
The six-date run will kick off in their hometown with a show at the Metro Theatre on Friday, 3rd March before dates in Brisbane, Hobart, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Tickets for all shows will go on sale this Thursday (19th January) at 10am local time.
“Where did the years go?! Apparently, it’s been a whole decade ago since this handful of babyfaced kids from suburban Sydney finally assembled a line-up, recorded a demo and stepped onto a stage for the first time as Polaris,” drummer Daniel Furnari said in a statement.
“Over the course of the ten years and four records that followed, we worked our way through every community hall, theatre or dive that would take us, sleeping on the floors of vans and sharehouses in the name of metalcore. Today, this thing we built together has taken us all around the world, giving us the chance to connect with so many incredible people that now all share a role in our story.”
Furnari went on to give an indication of the setlists the band are putting together for the shows, saying they would be “reaching right back to our early EPs and beyond to pull out some deep cuts and old faves for the first (and probably last!) time in a long while.”
After forming in 2012, Polaris released their debut EP Dichotomy in November the following year. Their second EP The Guilt & the Grief arrived in 2016, and in 2017, they released their ARIA-nominated debut album The Mortal Coil via Resist Records and Sharptone. The band’s second album, The Death of Me , was released in 2020.

Polaris ‘10 year anniversary’ tour with void of vision, pridelands..
Destroy All Lines & Resist presents POLARIS 10 Year Anniversary Australian Tour
They say time flies when you’re having fun and it’s been a hella epic ride for Sydney metalcore titans POLARIS in the last decade. So, what better way to celebrate than to throw a 10 Year Anniversary Australian tour with their friends VOID OF VISION and PRIDELANDS in tow.
Kicking off on March 3 in their hometown of Sydney and making their way across the country to Perth, the 10 Year Anniversary venues are paying homage to the debut album cycle where they sold these venues out across The Mortal Coil and Spring tours in 2017.
“Where did the years go?! Apparently, it’s been a whole decade ago since this handful of babyfaced kids from suburban Sydney finally assembled a line-up, recorded a demo and stepped onto a stage for the first time as Polaris.” Says Polaris drummer, Daniel Furnari
He adds, “Over the course of the ten years and four records that followed, we worked our way through every community hall, theatre or dive that would take us, sleeping on the floors of vans and sharehouses in the name of metalcore.
Today, this thing we built together has taken us all around the world, giving us the chance to connect with so many incredible people that now all share a role in our story.
Sometimes it feels like we’re just getting started, but as we reach this milestone it seems only right to take stock and reminisce a little about the journey so far. And what better way to do that than with an intimate retrospective tour?! We’ll be reaching right back to our early EPs and beyond to pull out some deep cuts and old faves for the first (and probably last!) time in a long while. Joining us will be our old and very dear friends in Void of Vision and Pridelands, to add some new memories to the many that we’ve already shared over the years. If you were with us back in the day at Blacktown or Sutherland, at Wrangler or the Lab, at Hot Damn or Enigma, this one is for you. You’ve all made this possible and we can’t wait to celebrate our past, present and future with you around Australia this March!”

After unleashing the final instalment of the beloved Chronicles EP series, VOID OF VISION have not only left people longing for more, but in tandem increased curiosity and demand for what could come next. In the midst of a UK tour with Holding Absence and an appearance at the inaugural Knotfest Australia on the horizon, the band are poised to return home to continue to take the country by storm.

Polaris will celebrate ten years as a band this March, with concerts taking place in Sydney, Brisbane, Hobart, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. The band are promising deep cuts for the first time; their friends Void Of Vision and Pridelands are joining in on the fun.

Taylor Swift's reign continues as she ramps up for the next leg of The Eras Tour. The singer-songwriter will kick off the European portion of her world tour in Paris in May, which will continue throughout the summer. From there, she'll return to North America to tour Canada and a few remaining US cities in the fall. If you're hoping to attend, we've compiled all of the details of The Eras Tour, including how to get Taylor Swift tour tickets.
Swift's Eras Tour has taken the world by storm since March 2023. The three-plus-hour tour features hits from each of Swift's album eras, from "Lover" to her recent Grammy Award-winning "Midnights." Each show also features surprise songs and occasional guests, so fans never quite know what they're in for. Swift will release her latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," in April, but it's unknown if any of those songs will make their way to the tour setlist.

By the numbers: No. 17 at THE PLAYERS Championship
Change Text Size
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – The 17th delivered the drama again at THE PLAYERS Championship.
The little 136-yard par 3 was the toughest hole of the final round. With the pin in its traditional Sunday location, tucked on the far right side of the island green between the small front bunker and the water, the field was flummoxed by the penultimate hole.
The famed 17th relinquished just four birdies, the lowest total of the week, while a tournament-high 18 shots found the water. Nine players made double bogey or worse, including Martin Laird, who hit two in the water en route to a quadruple-bogey 7.
Though, one of those birdies came from an unlikely source at a pivotal moment in the tournament. The late-charging Wyndham Clark, who chunked his approach into the lake on the 17th during the third round, got a bit of retribution. After birdieing the 16th to get within two of Scottie Scheffler, Clark stuck his approach to 4 1/2 feet and sunk the putt to keep his tournament hopes alive. Xander Schauffele missed a putt of slightly shorter length that would have pushed him to 20-under and in a tie with Scheffler.
Wyndham Clark risks it all to card clutch birdie at the island green at THE PLAYERS
But it was a moment of fleeting hope for Clark, whose birdie putt on the 18th cruelly lipped out to lose to Scheffler by one. Scheffler was one of 51 players who escaped the 17th with par.
Here’s the island green on Sunday, by the numbers:
- Actual yardage: 136 yards
- Balls in the water: 18
- Closest to the pin: Denny McCarthy, 1 foot 3 inches
- Holes-in-one: 0
- Double bogeys: 8
- Scoring average: 3.342
Chris Kirk arrived at the par-3 17th hole Saturday with the shared mark for most consecutive rounds at TPC Sawgrass’ Stadium Course without a water ball.
After 41 straight competitive swings at No. 17 found dry land, though, Kirk’s streak ended in the third round of the 50th edition of THE PLAYERS. His ball tracked toward the hole but splashed just a few feet short of the bulkhead guarding the front of the green. Kirk’s water-free streak then ended at 41 rounds, tied with Jason Dufner for most on record. (Kirk made double bogey en route to a third-round 73; he stands T35 into Sunday.)
Doug Ghim channels Tiger's 'Better than Most' moment at THE PLAYERS
“Obviously it's pretty sick to see it in real time and watch it go in,” said Ghim, who stands T12 at 9-under, eight strokes back of 54-hole leader Xander Schauffele. “It kind of came out just how I hoped it would; it was also part relief that I didn't have a par putt coming back. There were a lot of different emotions.”
The island-green 17th has that effect.
Here’s the island-green 17th on Saturday, by the numbers:
- Actual yardage: 123 yards
- Balls in the water: 6
- Closest to the pin: Peter Malnati, 1 foot, 6 inches
- Birdies: 24
- Double bogeys: 4
- Scoring average: 2.836
Beau Hossler owns a bit of unwanted history at TPC Sawgrass’ 17th hole.
When Hossler, playing in the second group of the morning, hit his tee shot in the water on the famed par 3 , it marked the 1,000th ball hit in the water in the ShotLink era (since 2003). Hossler’s water ball was the first of 13 on Friday at the 17th.

Jason Day was one of those water balls. He walked to the hole 8-under overall and inside the top five. He left with a double-bogey 6 after his tee shot missed left of the island green. Justin Rose put two in the water on the penultimate hole, ultimately falling from 1-under to 3-over. Rose would have made the cut if he had parred out.
Hossler’s shot wasn’t the only bit of history on Friday.
Min Woo Lee drained a 60-foot-1-inch birdie putt on the hole, the second-longest putt made on the hole since 2003. It was a valuable shot for Lee, who bogeyed the par-4 18th to finish on the cutline at 1-under.
Min Woo Lee buries a 60-foot birdie putt on No. 17 at THE PLAYERS
Meanwhile, Chris Kirk safely found the green, making the 41st consecutive round without a ball in the water on the 17th hole. That tied Jason Dufner for most rounds played without a ball in the water on hole 17 since 2003.
Here’s the island-green 17th on Friday, by the numbers:
- Actual yardage: 137 yards
- Balls in the water: 13
- Closest to the pin: Chesson Hadley, 1 foot 8 inches
- Birdies: 28
- Double bogeys: 3
- Scoring average: 3.063
Ryan Fox didn’t just record the 43rd ace at TPC Sawgrass’ island-green, par-3 17th hole in THE PLAYERS Championship history. During Thursday’s opening round at THE PLAYERS, he became the first player to record back-to-back eagles in tournament history, carding an eagle at the par-5 16th followed by a hole-in-one at 17.
Fox brought the crowd to its feet Thursday morning with a wedge from 124 yards that landed 15 feet behind the hole and spun to perfection, hitting the flagstick square-on and dropping in for a hole-in-one. The New Zealander raised both arms to the sky with a wide smile and high-fived his playing partners C.T. Pan and Kevin Streelman.
Ryan Fox makes a hole-in-one on No. 17 at THE PLAYERS
“Most of the crowd probably either wants you to make a 1 or hit it in the water,” laughed Fox after signing for a 3-under 69, “so I’m glad to be on the right side of it in that respect.”
Others weren’t as fortunate. Adam Hadwin groaned immediately after making contact; his ball splashed a few yards short of the front-right greenside bunker, leading to a double bogey. Tom Kim, battling a fever over 102 F, suffered a similar fate – his water ball leading to a three-putt triple bogey and a WD shortly thereafter.
Lady Luck offered a more pleasant outcome for Scott Stallings, whose ball careened off a bulkhead fronting the green and landed softly enough to hold the green’s right side. He two-putted for par from 54 feet, then made birdie at No. 18 to sign for a 2-over 74, within striking distance of the cut line (currently projected at 1-under).
In contrasting fashion, Sam Ryder’s ball came inches from an ace – his ball landed 20 feet past the hole, spun back and grazed the hole’s right side – before trickling through the narrow cut of rough and into the water. Ryder looked to be in shock, placing his hands softly on his head, before taking his drop, hitting a wedge to 7 feet and two-putting for double bogey. (He also made birdie on 18, carding a 2-under 70 to stand one stroke inside the projected cut line.)

In all, 138 players completed the 17th hole on Thursday; play was suspended due to darkness at 7:32 p.m. ET, with six players yet to complete the hole. (The opening round will resume at 8:50 a.m. on Friday; the second round will begin as scheduled at 7:40 a.m.)
Overall, the hole played as the seventh most difficult on Thursday, with a scoring average of 3.087. There were seven double bogeys and one triple bogey (Tom Kim).
Here’s the island-green 17th on Thursday, by the numbers:
- Actual yardage: 124 yards
- Balls in the water: 10
- Closest to the pin: Ryan Fox, hole-in-one
- Holes-in-one: 1
- Birdies: 23
- Double bogeys: 7

Polaris Enters 10-Year Exclusive Partnership with Boys Scouts of America
Minneapolis, MN (March 27, 2014) – Polaris Industries Inc. (NYSE: PII), the leading manufacturer of off-road vehicles (ORVs), today announced the company has entered a 10-year, exclusive partnership with the Boy Scouts of America, the largest youth organization in the U.S., to provide all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), side-by-side (SxS) and safety equipment to select Boy Scout camps across the country.
“Polaris is proud to join forces with the Boy Scouts of America to develop a comprehensive off-road vehicle program that introduces youth to our sport with an emphasis on safety, responsible riding and respect for the environment,” said Scott Wine, Polaris Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “We are encouraged by the success of the pilot off-road programs and look forward to expanding the course to a national level.”
The partnership promotes youth off-road safety practices, environmental respect and the benefits of outdoor activities. Polaris has donated ORVs and safety gear to the BSA’s Northern Star Council’s Tomahawk Scout Reservation, the second largest Boy Scout camp in the nation, and the Northern Lights Council’s Camp Wilderness. The pilot programs at these camps were very popular, with more than 900 Boy Scouts learning basic riding and maintenance while earning safety patches. This 10-year partnership will improve and extend the reach of these courses.
“The off-road vehicle pilot we conducted in conjunction with Polaris and several local council camps proved to be both successful and very popular among the youth,” said Chief Scout Executive Wayne Brock. “As we work to keep our programs relevant to the youth of today and tomorrow, we are grateful for this opportunity to work closely with Polaris. We are excited that in the coming years, with the help of Polaris, we will be able to teach youth safe and responsible practices for the use of off-road vehicles.”
Polaris vehicles available to camp visitors for the program include the easy-to-use Phoenix 200, Sportsman 570 EPS and RZR 170 youth SxS. Bruce springsteen returns to the stage in phoenix after health issues postponed his 2023 world tour.

PHOENIX – Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band returned to the stage Tuesday evening at the Footprint Center in Phoenix in a triumphant reboot of the Boss’ postponed 2023 world tour.
In September Springsteen, 74, announced his tour would be delayed until 2024 , citing doctor’s advice as he recovered from peptic ulcer disease.

“The Boss” arrived on stage to an audience chorus of “Bruuuuce!” Wearing dark jeans and a rolled up red plaid flannel shirt, he had the energy of a man half his age. His signature “One, two, three, four” was the only thing that separated most songs, showing no signs of his illness from the previous year. Once he shouted, “Good evening, Arizona” the show was off and running.
Springsteen spoke to the crowd briefly about his illness prior to playing his final song “I’ll See You In My Dreams” solo on stage. “Phoenix, first I want to apologize if there was any discomfort because we had to move the show last time. . . . I hope we didn’t inconvenience you too much.”
The 29-song show came in just under three hours, but “The Boss” hardly broke a sweat while showing off a strong voice, all the while dancing, tearing into guitar solos, playing the harmonica and even ripping his shirt open near the end of the show.
On stage with Springsteen was the legendary E Street Band which features drummer Max Weinberg, bassist Garry Tallent, keyboardists Roy Bittan and Charlie Giordano, guitarists Stevie Van Zandt and Nils Lofgren, saxophonist Jake Clemons — nephew of original and still missed sax man Clarence Clemons who died in 2011 — guitarist and violin player Soozie Tyrell, a full horn and brass section and four backup vocalists. The only missing member of the band was Springsteen’s wife, singer and guitarist Patti Scialfa.
Springsteen performed most of the hits in his vast collection, minus “Born In The U.S.A.,” but he added covers “Nightshift” by the Commodores, “Because The Night” by Patti Smith Group, and a surprise: “Twist and Shout” by The Beatles. Fans went wild for “No Surrender,” “Born To Run,” “Rosalita,” “Dancing In The Dark,” “Glory Days” and “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out" that left the rocker grinning from ear-to-ear as he conducted fans singing along like his own chorus.
This year has been particularly challenging for Springsteen. In addition to his health issues, in January his mother, Adele Ann Springsteen, a fan favorite who could frequently be seen dancing at his shows, died . She was 98.
Two days after her death, Springsteen performed at the 2024 MusiCares Person of the Year event, which honored Jon Bon Jovi for his musical achievements and philanthropic efforts.
The 2024 edition of the tour kicked off in Phoenix and ends Nov. 22 in Vancouver, Canada. It hits 17 countries across 52 dates, including a special performance on Sept. 15 where Springsteen will headline the Sea.Hear.Now Festival in his hometown of Asbury Park, New Jersey.

Today (March 19), Moby has confirmed that he’ll be hitting the road in the UK and Europe this September for his first tour in more than a decade.
“It’s been over 10 years since I’ve toured, but someone reminded me that 2024 is the 25th anniversary of the release of ‘Play’, so it seemed like it might not be the worst idea to do a short European tour to commemorate and celebrate,” the electronic musician and producer said.
“The show will feature well-known songs from ‘Play’, but also a bunch of audience favourites, like ‘Extreme Ways’, ‘We Are All Made Of Stars’, ‘When It’s Cold I’d Like to Die’, and even some old rave bangers like ‘Feeling So Real’ and ‘Go’.”
Moby added: “What makes the tour most exciting for me is that I won’t be paid anything. 100 per cent of my profits will go to European animal rights organisations.”

Additionally, Moby has announced that his new collaborative album ‘Always Centred At Night’ will be released on June 14 via Mute. He has also shared the song ‘Dark Days’ (featuring Lady Blackbird) from the collection – listen below.
Other artists to have contributed to the forthcoming 13-track album include the late Benjamin Zephaniah, Serpentwithfeet and Gaidaa.
Last year saw Moby release a new documentary film titled Punk Rock Vegan Movie . The project, which was written, directed and scored by the artist, delves into “the surprising history of punk rock and animal rights activism”.
The doc features interviews with “dozens of punk rock legends” including Rob Zombie , Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro, and Ian MacKaye.
Speaking to NME in early 2023 , Moby explained that he was introduced to “the world of punk rock and animal rights” back in 1982.
“A huge part of the modern animal rights movement came from the world of punk rock, starting with Crass and the U.K. Subs through to Fall Out Boy and Rise Against ,” he said.
“[ Punk Rock Vegan Movie ] looks at the history and reminds people that punk rock was not nihilism; it was principled questioning of everything.”

2024 Valspar Championship odds, field: Surprising PGA picks, predictions by model that's called 10 majors
Sportsline's proven model simulated the valspar championship 2024 10,000 times and revealed its pga golf picks.
The PGA Tour's four-week Florida Swing concludes this week with the 2024 Valspar Championship. Play tees off on Thursday from the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in the Tampa area. Sam Burns has had tremendous success at this event in recent years, winning two of the last three editions of the Valspar Championship.
Burns has also been on a tear this season, finishing T-10 or better in four of his last six starts on the PGA Tour. According to the latest 2024 Valspar Championship odds, Burns is going off at 11-1. Xander Schauffele is the 8-1 favorite on the PGA odds board, while Jordan Speith and Justin Thomas are both listed at 12-1. Before locking in your 2024 Valspar Championship picks, be sure to see the golf predictions and projected leaderboard from the proven computer model at SportsLine .
SportsLine's proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, the model is up over $9,500 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.
McClure's model predicted Scottie Scheffler would finish on top of the leaderboard at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players Championship this season. McClure also included Hideki Matsuyama in his best bets to win the 2024 Genesis Invitational. That bet hit at +9000, and for the entire tournament, McClure's best bets returned nearly $1,000.
The model also predicted Jon Rahm would be victorious at the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions and The American Express. At the 2023 Masters, the model was all over Rahm's second career major victory heading into the weekend. Rahm was two strokes off the lead heading into the third round, but the model still projected him as the winner. It was the second straight Masters win for the model, which also nailed Scheffler winning in 2022.
In addition, McClure's best bets included Nick Taylor (70-1) winning the 2023 RBC Canadian Open, Jason Day (17-1) winning outright at the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson, and Rickie Fowler (14-1) finishing on top of the leaderboard at the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic. This same model has also nailed a whopping 10 majors entering the weekend. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.
Now that the 2024 Valspar Championship field is set, SportsLine simulated the tournament 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Head to SportsLine now to see the projected leaderboard .
Top 2024 Valspar Championship predictions
One major surprise the model is calling for at the Valspar Championship 2024: Xander Schauffele, a seven-time PGA Tour champion and the odds-on favorite, fails to finish on top of the leaderboard. Schauffele is coming off an impressive T-2 finish at The Players Championship last week. He's now finished T-9 or better in four of his last six starts on the PGA Tour.
However, Schauffele hasn't been victorious at a PGA Tour event since winning the 2022 Genesis Scottish Open. He's also struggled with accuracy off the tee this season, ranking 100th on tour in driving accuracy (58.59%). The Copperhead Course at Innisbrook puts a premium on positioning off the tee, which doesn't bode well for Schauffele's chances to finish on top of the leaderboard.
Another surprise: Brian Harman, a 28-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. He has a much better chance to win it all than his odds imply, so he's a target for anyone looking for a huge payday.
Harman has been red-hot in recent weeks, finishing T-12 or better in each of his last two starts. He's coming off a T-2 showing at last week's Players Championship. Harman has been able to secure those positive results thanks to his impeccable putting stroke. The 37-year-old enters this week's event ranked seventh in putting average (1.698), ninth in putts per round (28.00) and 19th in one-putt percentage (42.80%). Those impressive stats, plus his long odds, make Harman a strong play for your 2024 Valspar Championship bets. See who else to pick here .
How to make 2024 Valspar Championship picks
The model is also targeting three other golfers with odds of 25-1 or longer to make a strong run at the title. Anyone who backs these longshots could hit it big. You can only see the model's picks here .
Who will win the 2024 Valspar Championship, and which longshots will stun the golfing world? Check out the Valspar Championship 2024 odds below and then visit SportsLine to see the projected Valspar Championship leaderboard , all from the model that's nailed 10 golf majors, including last year's Masters and Open Championship.

Polaris Announce 10 Year Anniversary Australian Tour
POLARIS celebrate their 10 Year anniversary with an Australian tour, bringing along their friends VOID OF VISION and PRIDELANDS
Kicking off on March 3 in their hometown of Sydney and making their way across the country to Perth, the 10 Year Anniversary venues are paying homage to the debut album cycle where they sold these venues out across The Mortal Coil and Spring tours in 2017.
“Where did the years go?! Apparently, it’s been a whole decade ago since this handful of babyfaced kids from suburban Sydney finally assembled a line-up, recorded a demo and stepped onto a stage for the first time as Polaris.”
Says Polaris drummer, Daniel Furnari
In 2017, POLARIS released The Mortal Coil , their debut album which debuted in the top 10 ARIA charts and received an ARIA-nomination. It was followed up with 2021’s, ARIA-nominated, #3 ARIA Album chart record, The Death Of Me . They have been awarded a laundry list of accolades including triple j’s Feature Album with both albums, album of the year mentions in end of year lists and have toured across the globe.
It's been an incredible journey for POLARIS with countless sold-out headline tours of Australia, supporting Architects and Parkway Drive around the country; five runs throughout Europe (including a series of arena shows supporting Architects, a slew of high-profile summer festival spots, Northlane and their first headline tour); four separate US tours; not to mention performing at the Download Festival, Unify Gathering in Australia, headlining Knight & Day Festival and most recently performing the 2022 Good Things Festival headlined by Bring Me The Horizon. Melbourne-based, PRIDELANDS kicked off 2022 with the release of their highly anticipated debut studio album, Light Bends which had glowing reviews and landed them an appearance at Unify Forever in 2022 and a national regional tour with In Hearts Wake.
