That is why it comes as no surprise that PGA TOUR Golf Shootout has quickly become one of the top sports games since it was launched. Available on Android and iOS platforms, the game lets you experience what it is like to participate in the PGA Tour competition. You can sink birdies and hit holes in one in perfectly manicured courses.

Enjoy the stunningly realistic visuals are you compete in the most respected tournaments in golf. You can hone your skills by taking on the TPC courses in single-player mode while completing multiple Daily challenges. 1. What Are Levels For?

You are probably wondering why there is a level system in a sports game like PGA TOUR Golf Shootout. First off, you get to have bragging rights as a veteran player if you have a higher level. More importantly, however, you gain access to more features of the game. Even though the game can be downloaded for free, a lot of its content is locked behind level requirements. You will need to level up quickly in order to fully enjoy everything that the game has to offer.

The level system also isn’t like more other games where you just keep playing and you automatically get experience for nearly every tap you make on the screen. Here you need to level up golf clubs in order to gain experience. You will have to put in a lot of work if you don’t want to spend real money in order to level up.

2. How To Level Up Clubs

If you are familiar with games like Clash Royale , you would be able to understand the club levels more quickly. Clubs are acquired mostly through opening packs. When you open a pack, you will see a countdown timer. You will need to wait until the timer reaches zero in order to get the contents of the pack. You can spend real money to skip the countdown timer, but that would be a waste. Packs contain random cards, so you will need to open up a lot of them in order to get what you need.

To level up a club in PGA TOUR Golf Shootout you need silver coins and enough duplicate cards of that club. You gain experience every time you level up a card, but the costs for the next level also increases. The good news is that you get access to even better clubs while you grind for experience. This makes you stronger while allowing you to unlock more content.

3. Open More Packs

Since the contents of packs are random, you won’t always get what you need to level up your clubs. That is why you need to open up as many packs as you can. If you have unlocked Challenges, you should complete all that you can in order to get more packs. Some Challenges reward you with packs that can be opened instantly. You should also check on your Clubhouse rewards for more packs.

If you are tired of waiting around for packs to open, you can speed up the process by spending premium currency. You get some premium currency for free from time to time, so you won’t have to spend real money. A better way to speed up packs, however, is by watching video advertisements.

4. Claim Your Freebies

When you have free time, you should drop by the in-game store. You can watch video advertisements from the store in order to get some freebies. Tap on the Free Rewards button at the bottom of the screen to watch the ads. This is an easy way to gain resources needed for upgrading your clubs. Try to watch a few videos every day in order to maximize your resource gain. You can watch up to five ads per day, and we recommend that you watch all of them because you get premium currency after the fifth video.

Another freebie that you can get your hands on comes every 24 hours. You can claim this from the game’s main screen, and it can be opened without having to wait for timers. Even if you don’t have time to play for the day, make sure you still try to log in every 24 hours to claim your free reward.

Finally, you get free packs whenever you win in Versus mode. These are timed packs, so make sure you open them up as soon as you can. You should also set an alarm in order to claim them as soon as their timer is done. You can only have one pack queued up to open at any given time. That means every second that there isn’t a new pack queued up is wasted.

5. Improve Your FedEx Cup Rank

Gold is the premium currency in PGA TOUR Golf Shootout. Every pack you open has a small chance of containing some Gold. We also mentioned earlier that you can get some more gold by watching five ads per day. If you want more Gold, however, you will need to increase your FedEx Cup Rank. You can do this by simply playing more matches against other players. The game gives out rank rewards at the end of each season. The reward pack you get improves every 10 ranks. The better the reward, the more cards, coins, and Gold you will get when the season ends.

6. Play In Solo Mode

Everyone wants to play live PVP games, but there is some benefit to playing in solo mode. Aside from providing you a good way to practice your shots, you also earn a decent amount of loot in clearing single-player stages. This will help you level up more clubs and raise your player level even faster. Remember, the key to leveling up is getting as many resources as you can, even if it means playing against the AI once in a while.

7. How To Win Matches

How good you are in the game influences how fast you level up since you need to keep winning in order to get more cards, coins, and Gold. While the game relies heavily on skill, there are still a few things you can do to improve your chances of winning matches. First off, understand how the game works. Before you take a shot, you will need to choose a club. The game sets a default one for you, but you can choose a different one if you like. The game’s recommendation is usually a solid choice, so switch only if you know what you’re doing.

Once you have a club selected, you can drag on the ball to get a bird’s eye view of the course and see where your ball will most likely go. Keep in mind that wind and other conditions can still affect the final position of your ball. You can also influence the behavior of the ball by choosing where to first touch it before you drag. Touching the top side of the ball will give it a topspin, allowing it to bounce and roll when it lands. Touching the bottom side will make it roll backwards depending on the surface it touches.

Clubs also have a great impact on your gameplay. That’s the whole point of collecting them and leveling them up. They have different basic stats and special abilities. Make sure you pay attention to the descriptions before making your choice. You should also have multiple bags assembled, so you can switch between them depending on the kind of course you get. For example, if you are up against a narrow par 3 course, you should pick a Driver with higher accuracy. Power isn’t needed as much since it’s a smaller course. Packing bags with clubs that are designed for specific courses make it easier for you to gain the upper hand during a match. You get to have two bag slots for free. If you have the extra currency, you can unlock even more. For now, you can stick to one bag for smaller courses, and another for bigger ones.

A final tip for winning more games is to stop yourself from getting tilted. Golf is just as much a mental game than anything else. If you get a bad shot, don’t give up right away. If you’re lucky, your opponent might mess up even worse, giving you a chance to catch up. Even if you don’t win, you still have the chance of getting a tie. The game gives out Tie Tokens which gives you the chance to earn better packs if you win next time.

PGA TOUR Golf Shootout is a free-to-play arcade-style mobile golf game for iOS and Android devices. The game is an officially licensed product of the PGA TOUR and is developed by Concrete Software in association with GameMill Entertainment . After a brief soft launch period on Google Play, the game was initially released on both its platforms on April 17, 2019.

The current release of PGA TOUR Golf Shootout is version 2.2.0 , released to players on June 21, 2020. This update includes new tournament types, improvements to Clubhouse Challenge progress, and improvements to inventory and bag management.

Gameplay [ ]

PGA TOUR Golf Shootout is an arcade-style golf game. It features a degree of real-world accuracy but does not intend to be a simulator. The gameplay and on-course physics lean towards an easy learning curve for new players and quick matches.

Choosing Clubs [ ]

Before a match, players choose up to five of 51 collectible clubs of different types and fictional brands to put into a bag . These clubs have stats that determine their performance on the course, as well as special abilities . Players use these bags to play rounds of golf on holes based on real-world Tournament Players Club courses .

Players take a single bag onto a hole, leaving them with a choice of one of their five clubs for every shot on the hole. Clubs cannot be switched out while in a match.

Hitting the Ball [ ]

To hit the golf ball, players touch and drag on the screen to determine the power of their shot, or the distance it will travel. Each club in the game has an optimal range for its given power stat, but players can choose to "overpower" their shot for more distance at the expense of accuracy by dragging further on the screen.

While "holding" the ball to determine shot power, the player can aim where the ball will go on the hole by dragging around. The player sees a shot preview arc in the sky showing the intended path of the the ball flight and a circular accuracy indicator on the ground, showing roughly where the ball will land if hit accurately.

During aiming, a swing meter appears on the screen with a sweeping arrow moving back and forth. When the player lets go of the screen, the ball will be launched according to the intended power with an accuracy determined by how close the swing meter is to the center. The swing meter moves slower and more steadily the higher a club's control stat is, making it much easier to hit the center for a perfect shot.

Hole Performance [ ]

As in real-world golf, players are judged based on their performance based on how many strokes they take on a hole. Each hole has a par, or number of strokes allotted to getting the ball in the hole from the tee. Holes may be a par 3, par 4, or par 5.

In the main Play mode of the game, players receive rewards or penalties depending on their final hole performance. Winning against another player grants FedExCup rank points, coins (the game's basic currency), and a card pack if the player has an open slot available. A tie grants coins and a tie token, increasing the chances of getting a free upgrade to a better pack. Losing earns no currency and causes a player to lose FedExCup rank points.

Beating par on a hole by getting a birdie, eagle, albatross, or hole in one grants additional rewards beyond the regular rewards for winning.

Match Types [ ]

Players can play solo or compete against other players in a variety of match types that follow a similar rule set. These match types include:

• Solo challenges where the player attempts to complete a hole or series of holes with certain special conditions for winning, such as high wind, low gravity, using only a particular subset of clubs, or getting a target score.
• Free play modes for each of the four TPC courses are unlocked as players complete the list of in-game solo challenges. This allows players to play any hole they want with no special conditions or restrictions, for practice or just for fun.
• Play mode is the primary gameplay type. This matches a player asynchronously against a prerecorded previous hole performance of another player. The player's performance in this match may be recorded and go into the pool of matches available for other players to play against. Play mode is the only match type that affects a players FedExCup rank.
• Daily challenges are similar to solo challenges, but refresh randomly each day and never run out. A player competes on their own to finish a hole with a certain criteria, such as score or hitting targets, and receives a random card pack as a reward.
• Tournaments are structured events that pit up to 100 players against each other based on their performance on a predetermined series of holes that may or may not have special conditions present. A player plays through the series of holes on their own, and their final accumulated performance across all the holes is measured by both score and time taken against all the other players on the leaderboard. Tournaments are active for a predetermined length of time, and after they are over, players are rewarded based on their final leaderboard position.
• Players may issue challenges directly to another member of their Clubhouse. By issuing a challenge, a player records a performance on a hole and the challenged player is notified. The other player may then choose to accept the challenge and records their performance on the same hole with the same conditions. Then, both players are notified of the final match result and coins are awarded to the winning player. No rewards are given to either player in the case of a tie.

Economy [ ]

PGA TOUR Golf Shootout is highly focused on collecting new clubs and upgrading those clubs to perform better on courses, allowing players to move up the FedExCup ranks and win in-game tournaments easier and more reliably. Nearly every aspect of the in-game economy and progression revolves around clubs, the cards players earn to upgrade them, and the packs those cards come in.

Card packs are earned through a variety of means, including winning games in Play mode, completing solo and daily challenges, and buying them outright from the Pro Shop, the in-game store. Packs come in different qualities that determine how much currency and how many club cards they contain, as well as the rarity distribution of those cards.

As with many free-to-play titles, the game has multiple currencies: the "basic" currency of coins, and the "premium" currency of gold.

Coins are used to upgrade clubs and purchase rotating lots of cards from the Pro Shop. Coins are earned as rewards for winning in Play mode, found in packs, and given as rewards for other in-game activities such as winning tournaments or completing a hole under par. Packs of coins can also be purchased from the Pro Shop.

Gold is also earned from packs, but in a much lower quantity than coins. Gold can be earned as prizes for placing highly in a tournament, as a reward for weekly Clubhouse challenges, or for getting an albatross or hole in one in a match. Gold can also be purchased with real money from the Pro Shop.

Other in-app purchases include bundles in the Pro Shop that can contain a variety of items, including predetermined club cards, packs of coins or gold, or player avatars. There are many bundles available in the game, but not all are available for purchase at all times. These bundles have a chance to rotate into the Pro Shop on a daily basis.

Do not get rid of the SkyFury club. If anything either the Rocket needs to go, or when in play mode only pair up people who are on the same level of play. That way each person should have the option of using the same clubs as the person they are competing against. It’s not fun when I’m on Level 6 and I’m playing against someone on Level 8 and they can reach the green on a par 5 in one shot using the Rocket and it takes me 2 shots to reach the same distance because I didn’t spend actual money out of my pocket upgrading my clubs. Also, I think when playing the daily challenges, the better you do the greater the rewards should be. That way I’m not just getting a Silver pack for getting a hole in one. It should be a Diamond pack for hole in one and at least Ruby for an Eagle or so forth. Great game though. I’m addicted for sure!

Starts Out Good

If you are someone who is looking for a golf game to play for 10 minutes a week then this is a good choice. However, the logic of the design is deeply flawed. The object is to level up so you can obtain new clubs, courses and so on. In the beginning it is fine. You level up by getting coins that are obtained through opening card packs which are won in solo challenges, Dailey challenges and heads up play. In order to level up your golfer, you must level up your clubs. The developer says each level should take 3x’s as long as the previous to advance. Here is where the problem starts. There are only so many clubs available to level up. You receive about 70 points for leveling up a club when it cost 1000 coins. The next level is 4,000 then 10,000 and then 25,000. Logic would follow you should receive 1750 in points for spending 25,000 coins. Nope you get 200 points. So it took no more than a week to move a level in levels 1-5. However, I have been on level 6 since March. I have never missed a daily challenge, always finish 1-3 in my clubhouse (rankings from heads up play), and have completed ever solo task except two which I do not have the correct club to do because I can’t reach level 7. I am only about half way through level 6. I feel like I have invested a bunch of time and can’t move any further. Hopefully they update the app and improve on this silliness. If they do I will change the review.

This game made me cry

I spent weeks on this game trying to get my rank up higher and higher. When I broke 20k I was so happy. I was on this game for 3 hours one day and I kept on getting little things popping up about something not saving and then I get on the game later to see all of my progress had been lost and there was no other way to sign in because it wouldn’t let me. Whoever made this game I hope that you go to bed tonight and both sides of your pillow are warm. I was about to get in the top 10k and u ruined my life. Now I have to download a different golf game. Hopefully the next one doesn’t delete all of my progress like this one did. This game was so stupid anyway. You beat everything so quick and the holes aren’t even accurate. The tournaments are even worse. Whenever you tie with someone they put whoever did it faster in the best spot. Like what? That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. To whoever made this game; I hope you step on a lego; I hope you stub your toe; I hope you trip infront of your crush; I hope you miss a spot while shaving and someone points it out; I hope you get a big fat juicy pimple on your nose so you look like Rudolph; and I hope you have a stuffy nose. That’s all.

PGA TOUR Golf Shootout

Inspired by your favorite PGA TOUR pros? And do you enjoy playing video games?

Well, you get the best of both worlds with the PGA TOUR Golf Shootout that launched Wednesday for both iOS and Android tablets and smartphones.

The mobile game offers a chance to play 72 holes on four of the game’s most famous Tournament Players Clubs – TPC Sawgrass, TPC Scottsdale, TPC Southwind and TPC Deere Run. The 3-D visuals give you a great sense of the same courses you see hosting PGA TOUR events on television.

You can compete with other players from around the world head-to-head or participate in solo challenges. There’s a sense of community, too – you can create private clubhouses for you and your friends where you can challenge and encourage each other.

Just log in, pick an avatar and start playing this arcade-style game. The interface is intuitive but in case you’re worried, there is an easy-to-understand tutorial that will get you ready for the various competitions.

As you play, you earn card packs that allow you to upgrade to over 50 professional-level golf clubs. Just like the pros, those upgraded clubs can improve your video shot-making ability. (There’s even a particularly handy one that goes through trees!)

You can climb the game’s FedExCup ladder, too. But unlike the real TOUR pros, you run the risk of losing “points” so you need to play often – and well.

What impacts your shot?

There’s a reason players and caddies talk before their shot to best achieve success on the course so you’ll experience this in the pre-shot decisions you’ll have to make for a great shot. The challenge of your shot appears in a split between pre-shot decisions like club and shot types, with swing execution and placement based on course dynamics. This way you’ll be thinking more “golf” and less “golf swing” only.

A variety of factors like club and shot type all impact your shot but most of all, course dynamics and ball behavior like wind, altitude, terrain reactions, ball dribbling, and more will impact your shot. The full list of aspects that impact your shot are listed below

There are a variety of factors that impact gameplay on the course including altitude and wind. Courses in traditionally cloudy areas like The Old Course at St. Andrews will appear cloudy while sunny courses like The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island will appear bright. Other weather conditions will not affect gameplay or appear in-game.

Will there be a 3-click swing option in-game?

EA have said that they know that the 3-click swing is important to the community and as a result of early community feedback they are planning to include this swing in an early title update after launch.

EA SPORTS PGA TOUR will have 28 real-life and 2 fantasy courses for a total of 30 beautiful golf courses at launch. State-of-the-art Technology Supports Course Mapping for Accurate Course Visuals

Each course is designed in stunning quality with Frostbite, so you can immerse yourself in golf’s finer details more than ever before. And to achieve the most true to life course visuals we meticulously mapped Augusta National, the home of the Masters, and other courses, with state-of-the-art technologies like photogrammetry scanning, drone technology, and survey-grade GPS. 

We also led custom LiDAR helicopter flights over each course in the game, scanning at lower altitude with slower speeds to achieve more data-point-density and a higher level of realism than scans from publicly available sources. Using these technologies, which are actually designed to discover underground gold mines and oil reserves, we achieved pin-point accuracy down to the blade of grass for many courses in-game. Each course’s scan has been transferred into EA SPORTS PGA TOUR to be developed and tuned for the most accurate depiction of them possible.

And we didn’t just scan the greens, the terrain map also created precise renderings of clubhouses, vegetation, bridges, tee markers, rock formations, water, and more on-course elements.

To achieve the highest granularity possible, we also took the time to visit these prestigious courses ourselves to fully understand how the course plays in real life. From walking the holes to surveying course superintendents, the unique conditions at each golf course were mapped and recorded in these in-person visits over the years. 

We were able to even record the distinct cuts of grass and how the ball behaves on them along with upcoming changes they’re making for future seasons to capture a full picture of these courses and how each of them play now and in the future.

So whether it’s The Old Course at St. Andrews Links or The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort, you’ll be able to see and feel the distinct differences of playing on these courses just like you would if you were there in real life.

Course Visuals Enhanced by Time of Day Features

Inspired by classic American landscape artists, we set out to create the most beautiful courses in-game with lighting that changes the look of a course based on the time of day. The goal was to create discreet times of day that showed off each course or hole in its absolute best light.

 In game, we represent those as 3 different “tee” times, morning, mid day and late afternoon, across 4 unique “Biomes”. Each of the 4 biomes , Humid subtropical, Mediterranean, Oceanic and Desert, have varying lighting conditions, levels of contrast, clouds and atmospheric haze etc, to give each course a unique look based on its location and the time of day that you are playing.

Course Dynamics Support True-To-Life Ball Dribbling and Behavior

But stunning visuals are only one part of making a course feel like it does in real life. To make each course not only appear but feel accurate to real life, Pure Strike gameplay’s Course Dynamics impact the way the ball behaves on every green in the game.

Each course is tuned to behave just the way it does in real life which impacts the height of a ball’s bounce, the speed of its roll, the impact on ball spin, and the launch of the ball which vary from course to course.

Each course has its own subtleties including everything from the speed and firmness of the fairway to the firmness and length of the first cut. The ball reacts to these subtleties to result in a variety of ball behaviors that change on each course. So you’ll see the ball roll differently on the firm and fast fairways at The Old Course at St Andrews Links in comparison to those of Harbour Town. 

The ball will behave differently across different terrains like pine straw, firm fairway, soft fairways and more. So you can expect to see the ball bounce differently on softer terrains in comparison to hard ones, just like you’d see in real life.

But you’ll also be able to feel how your ball behaves differently in the air as well since ball behavior and course dynamics are also impacted by altitude so courses above sea-level will see balls go further than those on the coast.

Why the Masters is a dangerous week for golf’s falling TV ratings

AUGUSTA, Ga. — The toll of golf’s Saudi invasion never feels further away than during Masters week .

On Monday, as with every second Monday in April for a long time, a capacity crowd stuffed into the fairways of Augusta National, wearing the same pleasant disposition and reverential excitement that have carried capacity crowds through Augusta National on Mondays forever. They saw the best players in golf, they purchased oodles of Masters-themed merchandise, and they ate enough pimento cheese to feed a small country.

These are not the visuals of a sport in danger, and make no mistake, the Masters is not in danger. Not now and likely not ever. But professional golf might be. And strangely enough, the Masters is our key to understanding if the danger is real or fixable. Which makes this Masters week a very dangerous time for golf TV.

Here’s what we know: Through the first portion of 2024, noticeably fewer people are tuning into the PGA Tour than in years past, as much as 10 or 20 percent in some instances. TV ratings for the Tour’s competitors at LIV — the few that have been reported, anyway — show the rivals haven’t come close to closing the gap. Some pieces of the TV audience that golf has captured in each of the past several years seem to have disappeared, and at a much faster rate than any of the larger trends in sports television watching (like cord-cutting ) would consider reasonable. At the Players Championship, a dramatic Sunday shootout between two of the Tour’s biggest stars — Scottie Scheffler and Wyndham Clark — averaged some 700,000 fewer viewers than last year’s blowout Scheffler victory.

Right now, nobody really knows what the falling ratings mean. It’s possible the ratings issue could be existential, a problem of fans who have been disillusioned and disenchanted with the Saudi uprising and have elected to spend their weekend afternoons doing something other than watching golf. It’s possible the issue could be fundamental, a sign the changing PGA Tour structure and LIV fracture has alienated legions of casuals with its never-ending posturing and role-reversing and general nonsense — and those casuals now care only about the majors. It’s possible the issue could be unluckiness, like a lackluster season from the Tour’s biggest non-Scottie Scheffler stars that has resulted in meager leaderboards and underwhelming Sunday finishes. It’s possible the issue could be all three, and another seven or eight reasons on top. The point is that nobody knows.

Take, for example, the words of two of the PGA Tour’s most influential figures, Rory McIlroy and CBS Sports chairman Sean McManus, who were each asked about the state of ratings after an early-season TV slide for the Tour in ’24 — and who each offered very different interpretations of the data.

“I think I know this isn’t a be-all, end-all, but if you look at the TV ratings of the PGA Tour this year, they’re down 20 percent across the board,” McIlroy said last week in Texas. “That’s a fifth, that’s big.”

“To a large extent it depends upon who’s on the leaderboard, and how close the tournament is,” McManus, the outgoing CBS chairman, said during an interview last week. “I haven’t seen any real trends, I think we’re down slightly, but the advertisers seem happy, the sponsors seem happy, so it’s a little early to predict if there’s a trend out there on the ratings.”

To McManus’ last point, it is a little too early to predict if there’s a trend. But it won’t be in about six days.

The Masters is unlike any event in golf, but strangely, that makes it the perfect event for taking the temperature of the sport writ large. Is golf succeeding? Is it failing? Is interest rising or falling? Is the sport growing or shrinking? These are questions that golf answers with the size of its Masters TV audience, in much the same way these are questions the NFL answers with the size of its Super Bowl audience.

Small trends in this data aren’t relevant, but when they appear to confirm a larger trend we’ve been witnessing in the sport, ratings data is worth poking deeper into. Should we be worried about the PGA Tour’s ratings?

THE BIG QUESTION IS …

Has there been a marked decrease in golf fans as a result of the LIV/PGA Tour drama? If such an exodus exists, the second big question is if that’s what’s causing the recent dip in PGA Tour TV ratings. This week, we should get answers to both questions.

IF RATINGS ARE GOOD …

So, between 10.5 and 13.5 million average viewers (which would put this year’s tournament in line with years’ past), we can stop sounding the alarms about the Tour’s viewership dip. The drop might be, as CBS’s McManus said, cyclical. Or maybe there are other reasons for the Tour’s drop in viewership, like the fractured state of pro golf and the fact that the Tour’s best stars (sans Scheffler) haven’t done nearly enough winning.

IF THE RATINGS ARE BAD …

So, anything beneath 10ish million average viewers, we can officially say there is a trend of decreased viewership in pro golf. A number this low would be one of the lowest audiences in Masters history, and it doesn’t take an expert to know that’s bad news for pro golf. That sort of audience size would indicate the Saudi intrigue has worn off, that some core fans have been fatigued by the drama and the watered-down product to the point of not watching, and that those core fans don’t care enough to re-enter the sport even to watch the biggest events.

We’re not expecting this outcome. And there’s always more context to add. But this wouldn’t be good.

AND WHAT IF THE RATINGS ARE IN THE MIDDLE?

So, around 10 million average viewers? Well, I think we can say that we’re still monitoring what it all means. Ten million viewers isn’t enough to say that golf is entering a death spiral as a result of lost fan interest, but it’s not enough to dismiss the idea that fans have been losing interest because of the drama.

In some ways, this might be the best outcome for the PGA Tour, which can take the data to the negotiating table to show that fans still desire to watch a unified and highly competitive golf league, and that the LIV fracture is hurting both sides’ efforts in making money.

ALTERNATE EXPLANATIONS

There’s a chance, of course, that the PGA Tour’s plummeting ratings are caused by fans rejecting the Signature Event format, which has struggled in year two. The Tour could have confused its fanbase with the new structure, and the lackluster star power of the Tour’s winners could be amplifying that issue. Those changes could have alienated fans from watching the day-to-day but left their major championship appetites unaffected.

One theory we  know  isn’t true: LIV isn’t stealing fans from the Tour. There’s just no data to back it up.

THE GOOD NEWS?

Tiger’s expected to be back, which should at least be good news for ESPN’s early-round ratings, which struggled with bad weather in ‘23. Oh yeah, and this too:

“I do know the Masters will be the highest-rated golf tournament of the year, because it is every single year,” McManus said with a smile.
