What our Clients are Saying About Our Toronto Boat Cruises

Exert from letter:"......The Captain and crew were exceptional in making everyone feel welcome. The Captain was most patient in answering the constant flow of questions from the youngsters and permitting them the thrill of a turn a the helm. The crew enlisted several of the passengers to assist in hoisting the sails which gave them a great sense of involvement. Needless to say the experience was very educational as well as fun for all." Shirley Whittaker

  • 386kate 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles A leisurely hour on Toronto Harbour We picked a magnificent day to cruise. The weather was cool but pleasant. Our guide for that trip was a lovely local Woman called JJ. We didn’t pre book the trip but decided to try our luck getting a ride on the spur of the moment. At this time of year a lot of the tour boats I believe don’t start to operate until later in April but there was still heaps of room to comfortably move around and take some great photos of the Toronto Skyline. JJ certainly knew the ins and outs of the City with many funny quips about local identities and landmarks. A pleasant way to spend a relaxing one hour on the Toronto Harbour Read more Written April 19, 2024

Toronto Boat Cruises, Water Taxis, Rentals + more!

Get out on the open water by kayak, ferry over to the Island, or tour Lake Ontario on Toronto boat cruises! There are a ton of different boating adventures to go on #AtTheWaterfront , and we’ve done our best to list the various ways to get out on Toronto’s waterfront here!

Boats typically operate during the warmer months – usually between May and October, but it is best to check with the operator. Tickets for boat excursions and rentals tend to book up quickly, especially on weekends, so we encourage you to call the operators ahead to book your excursion.

You can find convenient parking lot locations on our parking webpage , or access these boats by rideshare, TTC, GO Transit, foot, or by bike.

Below is a list of all the various water taxi, boat rental, tour and Toronto boat cruises companies and marinas that serve the public along the waterfront, with their respective boat locations marked on the map below.

  • Water Taxis and Ferries to Toronto Island
  • Canoe, Kayak and Pedal Boat Rentals
  • Sailboat, Powerboat, and Bareboat Rentals
  • Cruises of Toronto’s Waterfront and the Islands
  • Marinas, Yacht Clubs, and Sailing Clubs

WATER TAXIS AND FERRIES TO TORONTO ISLAND

Water taxis are a super convenient way to get to the Toronto Islands. They can drop you off at one of three drop-off points: Wards Island, Centre Island, or Hanlan’s Point. Each water taxi company docks at an independent spot along the mainland and can take you to all three docks on the Toronto Islands. Most companies also provide quick return taxi service from the islands. For your visit to the island, we recommend reviewing this Toronto Island Pad Map for information about what to do during your visit.

  • Te9191 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Excellent Experience I highly recommend for a night out, make sure you get up and dance too, dancing on a boat is an experience in itself! The views are spectacular, the vibe was great, music was groovy, staff were great, dinner was grand; It was a lot of Fun! Read more Written September 2, 2023
  • lynnmckittrick905 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles Overall The staff and crew were very friendly and the views and overall atmosphere was very enjoyable. The buffet wasn't attended to properly (food was not replenished so by the time the last table got theirs some bowls like salad or veggie bowl was empty and not refilled). The experience was great but they need to improve on the food (temp, variety, enough of it for all). Read more Written August 12, 2023

  • SMCurran2023 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Great experience! We had a great time! The food was fresh, hot and tasty and the vegetarian dish was a delight. The service couldn't have been better: our server "Champ" truly was a champ!! When we first looked this cruise up we saw some negative reviews online which were a bit off putting (don't know why anyone would have anything negative to say...perhaps they are confusing with another cruise boat?!) but we were so glad we went and we would go again! • JCosta999 0 contributions 2.0 of 5 bubbles Expected More. Staff was very friendly, onboarding was quick & smooth. Possibly understaffed & mismanaged? Was a little difficult to get refills on drinks and dessert service was very long and one guest made a substitution request/inquiry but no one got back to them. One guest didn't receive a salad and another didn't receive dessert. Menu selection looked good, however prep was lacking. Chicken was a little dry, green/string beans were basic. Beef & sauce were "just ok" per guests, no one had the pasta, can't comment on it. Mixed drinks were fairly priced, however 2 guests didn't like how they were prepared and let them sit. Jackson Triggs for wine. View/skyline was very nice at sunset. Despite the above, no one complained, which is what made the evening most enjoyable, the company. Had expected a better dining experience for the price. Read more Written July 12, 2023
  • charliecharlieo 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Exceptional Toronto Island Cruise Brought the whole family for a Mother's Day brunch cruise and the experience was well worth it. We got to see beautiful scenery throughout the Islands. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. My kids, aged 8&9, also enjoyed the experience. Honestly, easily a 5/5 experience. Would absolutely recommend while in Toronto. Read more Written June 7, 2023
  • MOSTAFA E 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Mostafa/ Hamilton Ontario Food was terrible and not enough for every one test terrible when asked the waitress about muffin which there were little amount of it he said it was served at a wedding the day before and no more left. Orange juice was watery 3/4 of it water and ice. Service is very slaw, asked for coffee it took for them forever to prepare it and it taste horrible. Never go back again. • maccymac78 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Do not recommend, money grab for poor experience. I do not recommend the Obsession III boat experience, I wished I’d seen some of the reviews on here before booking. My experience consisted of: - Not many options of food (didn’t cook enough for the size of audience) - Vegetarian food on the buffet had run out - Sitting on Garden plastic chairs back-to-back with the next table with no space - Rude staff Better yet, we were celebrating my Mom birthday and I’ve emailed my feedback several times and no response from the company; they don’t care! Go elsewhere!! The boat also looks in awful condition and need a paint job and clean, check the other boats out in the area. Read more Written August 24, 2022
  • shernetteg2022 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Disappointing and Not worth your Money The crew wasnt very organized. No announcement was made about when the buffet was being served. When we finally got in line, most of the food ran out including pastries and fruit. The server just threw the food on our plates and they all looked as though they didn't want to be there. The coffee and tea were not included and we were charged $2.50 per coffee. Rather disappointing as the meal was mediocre for what we paid. Only redeeming quality about this afternoon were the great views we saw of the Toronto skyline. Highly recommend you save your money and use it for a cruise - only trip around the harbour on one of the other company cruise ships for $25 and enjoy just the views and go to an AYCE buffet somewhere else in the city. • yyesiamtrish2 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles Great for Toronto skyline views We took the evening sunset cruise version on the Obsession III which included dinner. You can purchase wine (bottles) in advance when you book your tickets, but there is no advantage to doing this. The wine on the menu is readily available and the price is the same. The booking will tell you to get there 30 minutes in advance, and you should arrive at least that early. There was a big line up when we arrived, and the on-boarding moved slowly-they take a photo of each couple or party as the board to try and sell it to you later. There is upper and lower floor seating and it is first come first served-you can’t reserve. Don’t be disappointed by about not getting the seat you thought you wanted. You can easily walk out to a viewing deck while you are waiting for dinner, and once you are finished, you can go out on deck again and admire the view all you want. In fact, my preference turned out to be the bottom floor where I was seated, because they leave that floor alone, but the top floor, they clear after dinner, and move the tables to the sides for guests to enjoy the music and dancing available if they want. The dinner was fine, nothing worth raving about. The views are amazing-the Toronto Island, the evolving city skyline as sun sets ,the planes landing and taking off, the water traffic..this boat cruise makes viewing all that very enjoyable. • Talboski 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Nice views of the city...but that's about it. While the cruise itself was fun, the food was so-so. My wife was supposed to get steak, but got fatty prime rib instead. Drinks are pricey and the DJ started late and didn't really play traditional Top 40 like was advertised. • Amarina77 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Excellet way to spnd the night! We were very lucky to have a dinner cruise on board of Obsession III for my daughter's birthday. The service was excellent, the crew very attentive and creative. The food was very good. We also liked the way the boat goes along the islands, but then leaves to the open lake. The city views were stunning, and we were extremely lucky with the weather that night. We all had fun, dancing on the boat after the dinner. Read more Written August 26, 2019
