Paris Explorer (8 Days)
This trip was for my 80th birthday. The tour director and specialists gave us insights you wouldn’t get going alone especially the Normandy optional tour. There was enough free time to go off on your own. I discovered profiteroles are my new favorite dessert.

I was kept informed & on promptly basis. A very professional approach by your staff
3-day Guided Normandy : D Day Beaches, Mont Saint-michel And Loire Valley Chateaux From Paris
Great tour. Extremely knowledgeable and pleasant tour guide (Layla). Kept everyone on schedule and filled us in on historical facts along the way. The days were long, but no time wasted. The length of the stops and unsupervised time was appropriate. The towns we visited gave us a much fuller perspective of France than does Paris alone. Layla fixed a reservation miscue at our first hotel very efficiently. My only (tiny) complaint was that the dinner at Caen was pretty mediocre. This was a GREAT way to see Normandy, Mt St Michel, the Loire valley, and several towns along the way.
The finest and most picturesque ports of call in the Seine valley (port-to-port cruise)
Spectacular cuisine and very scenic countryside. Helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Paris to Normandy 2024
Excellent! Wonderful, efficient employees. Great tour director. Friendly waiters and desk workers. Best food ever!
Best of France Tour
I am very happy with this trip. The hotels were comfortable, they were clean and their breakfast buffet was good. Our bus was also clean and our driver was prompt, he was very cautious all the way. Ann Marie was a superb tour guide, she was very knowledgable in art and history, thanks to her our tour was even better. Very satisfied with the tour, thank you very much for the experience !

Paris and London
Tour guide was excellent and the hotels were great. If tours could start a bit later in the day even by an hour like 9:00am instead of 8:00am. It would make for a more relaxed day.
Amsterdam and Paris
Great experience and a lot of fun!
The Treasures of France including Normandy (8 Days)
The tour visited some sites of great cultural beauty (eg medieval town centres, Mont St Michel, and several chateaux) and historical significance (eg D-Day Beaches). Service was comprehensive and included free porterage.

Normandy, Brittany & The Loire Valley (Classic, 8 Days)
This was our first guided tour and we loved it. Shona was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and very funny! She kept us all entertained. The scenery and stops were very interesting. Alan, our driver, was very nice and very skilled! Always pleasant. We will be looking at Insight for future tours.
Reviews of Paris Tours
Let me begin with my hotel, the André Latin. In the 5th, full of early morning student energy rushing to classes. Chambermaid service every day. A great spread of breakfast included. The 17th century church of Saint Jacques close by. Public Transport on the hotel avenue and a short distance from Luxembourg for Metro and other buses. Although I missed the meeting for the Eiffel Tower, a Guide was sent to meet me and provide me with my entrance ticket. Bus ride through the City was exciting and the trip to Versailles amazing. Before departure all my questions were answered. Recommend the company wholeheartedly.
Everything about this tour was excellent. The planned trips, the optional trips, the airport transfers, the guides were all top notch. We packed a lot into a week yet, had enough free time. Everything was well planned and kept to schedule. Bruno, our tour guide was charming and informative and kept us on track. Marco our coach drive was a safe and skilled driver. The specialist guides for certain excursions were topnotch. Bruno coordinated all the guides, driver, and venue hosts with efficiency. It was a trip of my dreams for my granddaughter and myself!

"There's nowhere quite like Paris and it's amazing to watch our guests light up when they see bucket list icons like the Eiffel Tower in real life. Don't forget to slow down and savour the freshly baked pastries from the local boulangerie and mingle with the locals in the sidewalk cafés and markets."

Musée Rodin

Paris Opera & Palais Garnier
If you want to experience the height of Parisian opulence, it’s got to be the Palais Garnier. This extraordinary building is a 1,979-seat opera house constructed in the late 19th-century, and is renowned as the setting for The Phantom of the Opera. Today you can discover its magnificent treasures or even spend a glitzy night at the opera or ballet.
Grand Palais
Located right across from the Champs-Élysées, the Grand Palais is an icon of Paris with its giant glass ceiling and Beaux-Arts style architecture. Ratatouille
Ratatouille is the ultimate French vegetarian dish, loved by all for its heartwarming local flavors. It’s essentially a vegetable stew, made with a rich tomato sauce and a rainbow of veggies like zucchini, eggplant and squash, and herbs like basil, garlic and thyme. One bite and you’ll fall in love with the home-cooked ratatouille of Paris.
One of France’s most famous recipes, Coq au Vin features wine-braised chicken served alongside ingredients like mushrooms and bacon. Across the country you will try many regional versions of this comforting dish, which translates fittingly to “rooster/cock with wine”.
French cuisine celebrates both savory and sweet ingredients, not just in the form of croissants. Find true street-food joy in the popular dessert of crêpes, with strawberries, Nutella, bananas and lemon curd just some of the toppings loved by locals and travelers alike. Or, try the national specialty crêpes Suzette with orange zest and caramelized butter.

Along with your small group, you'll continue to the city's literary heartland, the Latin Quarter, where your guide will tell stories of the famous writers who once called this place home. Here, you can also see the famous Notre Dame Cathedral from the outside—it's still undergoing repairs from the recent devastating fire, so entry isn't currently allowed.
Next, you'll catch the metro to the famous Louvre museum, home to the Mona Lisa and countless other iconic works. You'll skip the line at the Louvre so your super knowledgeable guide can show you the museum's highlights without the famously long wait. Finally, you'll cruise down the River Seine by boat, and finish you tour at France's most recognizable landmark : the Eiffel Tower. Learn the fascinating stories about the most iconic monument in Paris, before parting ways with your guide and using your entry ticket to ascend to the second floor.

A 1-hour river cruise on the Seine

Please note that the order of this tour could be different based on ticket times for the Louvre and Eiffel Tower.
Montmartre, Sacre-Cœur and the Latin Quarter
Home of the Moulin Rouge, Montmartre is Paris' famous art district. Your guide will show you the best of the neighborhood this morning, and you'll learn the best spots to return to if you're planning a big night out in the city. In addition to the nightlife of the neighborhood, Montmartre was also the epicenter of the Belle Époque.
Once home to Renoir, Van Gogh, Picasso, and Modigliani, the neighborhood produced countless famous pieces of art between the 1870s and 1920s. You will pass the café where Van Gogh painted one his most scandalous works—he dared to paint a woman reading!
After visiting the Basilica of the Sacre-Coeur, you'll follow your guide to the Latin Quarter. Montmartre is the center of art, but the Latin Quarter is the center of literature. You will see the café and bookstore where Hemingway and Joyce spent their ex-pat lives in Paris. Then, you can take photos of the magnificent Notre Dame Cathedral from the outside—sadly, the cathedral suffered a terrible fire in 2019 and is still being reconstructed.
Louvre Museum Tour
Skip past the famously long lines at the Louvre and see the museum's most influential works on a 90-minute tour of the Louvre. These works include the two of the most important Greek statues still standing: the Venus of Milo and The Winged Victory of Samothrace . These two famous statues are full of mystery and history, and you guide will bring them to life with stories of their meanings and origins.
You'll also see Eugene Delacroix's Liberty Leading the People. A symbol of French independence, strength and culture, it is the most politically important work at the Louvre. The painting is the most famous artistic depiction of the French Revolution and is often compared to the Washington Crossing the Delaware piece found in New York at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The Mystery Behind the Mona Lisa
Why is the Mona Lisa so famous? For starters, Mona Lisa’s expression has been often debated since its creation in the 16th century. Is she happy or sad or playful? Another intriguing thing about Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa is that it's the highest insured work of art at a whopping $800 million.
Leonardo Da Vinci's masterpiece (called La Gioconda in Italian), portrays the wife of a Tuscan aristocrat named Francesco del Giacondo. Though she has been in the Louvre for over 200 years, the portrait became famous when it was stolen in 1911 in a global scandal. Now she is protected with bulletproof glass and personal body guards.
Paris by Boat
Sit back and relax with beautiful views along the Seine. Paris river cruises are a great way to take in the ambiance of the city and get a taste of the luxury that Paris is known for. Cruise around the city and get a new perspective on the iconic landmarks, including the Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, Notre Dame, and of course, the Eiffel Tower in all its glory.
Eiffel Tower
Finally, led by your professional guide, you'll head to the pièce de résistance of this Paris in a Day Tour. The guide will regale you with tales of the tower's construction, its significance to the City of Light, and the initial public reactions to this daring design. After saying goodbye to your guide, with your tickets in hand, you will have the opportunity to savor the magic of the Eiffel Tower at your leisure.

Fantastic Guide!
Put on your walking shoes and get ready to see the sites. Monika was a superb guide who made 6 1/2 hrs of wet rainy Paris a great day. Her knowledge, organization, understanding of the group dynamics and flexibility kept us intrigued and we certainly had plenty of laughs along the way. Her skill of understanding the ins and outs of getting into the Louvre and knowing where there are no lines for bathrooms made that part of the tour run smoothly. She was adept at so many things! Being able to take the Seine River boat trip any time was a nice option. Having a timed Eiffel Tower ticket was not as convenient. Our tour ended at 3:15 and our ET ticket time was 8pm. We were wet and tired and didn’t choose to go back to the ET to use it. We highly recommend using The Tour Guy as a company and hope everyone gets Monika as a guide!

15 Lovely Things to Do in Paris, France on Your Vacation + Travel Tips
Whether on your bucket list or you’re in the city of love and lights for your honeymoon, there are countless things to do in Paris, France. This large and populated city will keep you entertained from early morning to late night. From art, history, and museums to cafes and bars, you’ll definitely want to create a travel itinerary for this trip!
We were on our honeymoon and spent four days in this gorgeous city. While four days and five nights in Paris won’t allow you to do it all, you can easily see many main attractions, enjoy good food, and get a basic feel for the city with this time. Below, you will find 15 things to do in Paris, plus a few travel tips to help you get the most out of your vacation!
There is so much to see and do; you should plan around your own interests. It’s a densely populated city of over two million people and has things to do around every corner. Below are some of the city's most popular sites and attractions.
1. Go Up The Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower, lovingly known as the Iron Lady, was built in two years, from 1887 to 1889; she’s over 135 years old! She has 1,665 steps that, unfortunately to my adventure seekers, you can only climb from the bottom to the second floor. Otherwise, you’ll take a lift.
You can buy tickets to access the second floor or the top. Either way, you’ll gain beautiful views of the city of lights. If you’re on a budget and don’t want to pay to visit the Eiffel Tower, don’t worry. You can see her beauty from all around the city!
Interesting fact: Hilter loved Paris and the Eiffel Tower. So much so that he arranged a visit to declare the Iron Lady as his own. Of course, the Parisians did not want this to happen. So, when he came to visit, they told Hitler that the lifts were broken and he would have to climb 1,665 steps to get to the top. Guess what? Their clever plan worked!
2. Musée du Louvre
The Lourve Museum is quite the museum, housing over 380,000 objects of art and artifacts. First, visit the iconic pyramids located in the courtyard– there is no entry fee to do this. The courtyard is significant, and you can get many beautiful photos from many angles.
If you’re a fan of art, then you’ll want to get tickets to go inside this masterpiece! The Lourve Museum is the most-visited museum in the world and is where the Mona Lisa lives! Also, be sure to take a walk around the courtyard at night. The main pyramid will light up, offering spectacular options for photography lovers.
3. Jardin des Tuileries
The Tuileries Garden is a massive public garden that is definitely worth a stroll. This beautiful garden was created in 1564 and was originally the garden for the Tuileries Palace. Stroll through the many gardens and fountains, or sit in front of the artwork and marvel at its beauty for a while.
There are even several cafes where you can stop for a bite or a sip of wine during your visit. There are public restrooms on the grounds, but be sure to bring your own toilet paper, as the toilets aren’t always stocked! Bring hand sanitizer with you, too!
4. Arc de Triomphe & Champs-Élysées Ave
The Arc de Triomphe is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. The monument is a memorial to all who have served and died for France during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. The monument can be found on the western end of Champs-Élysées Avenue, so you can kill two birds with one stone.
Stroll Champs-Élysées Avenue and do a little shopping, or stop at a Cafe for lunch on your walk to the Arc de Triomphe. Once you arrive at the monument, you will be in awe of its size and beauty. Exploring the outside of the monument is free, but if you want beautiful views of the city, grab yourself a ticket to go to the top!
5. Musée d'Orsay
If you are curious about French art, visiting the Orsay Museum is a must. This large museum houses mostly French artwork from 1884 to 1914. When you first arrive, you will be awed by the beautiful sculptures and art in the museum's center. Then, you can make your way around the rooms that cover different periods.
You will find popular pieces from artists like Vincent Van Gough and his Starry Night to artists such as Claude Monet and Edgar Degas. Audio tours are offered, and exhibits are labeled in French and English. Be sure to give yourself at least two hours if you’re an avid art lover.
6. Latin Quarter & Parthenon
Don’t miss a stroll through the Latin Quarter when in Paris! There are landmarks, shopping, a nearby University, and many cafes to visit. The area is also home to the Jardin de Plantes (botanical gardens) and the National Museum of Natural History.
The Parthenon, King Louis XV's project, can also be found in the Latin Quarter. Initially serving as a church, the building is now a mausoleum. To roam outside the Paris Parthenon is free, but you can also buy tickets to explore inside or take a guided tour.
7. Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris
Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris caught fire in April 2019. Construction continues today, preventing you from visiting the inside of the cathedral that was opened to the public in 1345. However, this has not stopped tourists from visiting the outside of the massive church. It can be spotted from around the city, or take a stroll for a few up close and personal photos.
8. Le Marais Neighborhood
Le Marias is a charming neighborhood in Paris filled with boutiques, shops, art, bars, and cafes. It is also a hotspot for fun LGBTQ bars. The area was once known as the Jewish Quarter, and many kosher restaurants can still be found there today. There are several off-the-beaten-path museums in the area that you can also visit. The area is beautifully lit at night, making for a fun and romantic spot for a dinner date or a few drinks with friends.
9. Jardin du Luxembourg
On the grounds of the Luxembourg Palace, the Luxembourg Gardens are spectacular! This 60-acre public park has flowers, plants, sculptures, fountains, and cafes. Take a stroll, or sit within the gardens and marvel at its beauty. There are many photogenic places around the gardens as well. Currently the seat of the French Senate, you can buy tickets for a tour of the Palace if you must go in!
10. Sainte-Chapelle
Opened in 1248, this historic gothic-style royal chapel is a wonderful visit. Marvel at the outside of the chapel and its beautiful architecture, and then buy tickets to go inside! You will be able to visit two floors (you must climb the stairs). Inside, you will find beautiful stained glass windows that tell the Bible's story. It is one of the most impressive 13th-century sainted glass chapels that can be found around the world.
11. Moulin Rouge
If you’re feeling a little risqué or don’t mind nudity, you can visit the famous Moulin Rouge cabaret. Opened in 1889, this birthplace of the French can-can dance is a marvelous visit during the evening. If you wish to see a musical show, buy your tickets well in advance. If you attempt to purchase tickets for more than one person just a few days ahead, you will not have luck.
12. Basilica of Sacré Coeur de Montmartre
The Basilica of Sacré Coeur de Montmartre is a gorgeous hilltop church in the Montmartre neighborhood of Paris that opened in 1875. Open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, this exquisite sight is free and open to the public. Whether you visit during the day or at night, it is spectacular!
As you climb the outside steps, you will see gates with hundreds or thousands of love locks! Don’t have your own? Don't worry; there are many people on the streets selling locks! Once inside the church, you will be amazed at its size and beauty.
Be sure to stay quiet and be respectful, as it is a place of worship. And, if you want a spectacular view of Paris, you can climb the (no lift) 300 steps to the Dome.
When you’re done visiting the church, be sure to roam the streets of the Montmartre neighborhood! It gets lively in the evenings, and there are many cafes to stop by and grab a bite or have a glass of wine!
13. Saint-Germain-des-Prés Neighborhood
The Saint Germain neighborhood in Paris is a beautiful place to visit and a great place to call home base. It is central to many famous sights and near the Seine River. You can easily walk to many places, such as shopping, bars, cafes, museums, churches, and art galleries.
Walk through the neighborhood and enjoy a gelato or a delicious macaron. Charming cafes sit on the corners, and the views of the Seine River are impeccable. A popular thing to do in the evenings is to take a bottle of wine to the river, sit by the bank, and enjoy each other’s company!
14. Seine River Cruise
While in Paris, be sure to book a Seine River cruise! For a romantic outing, take a dinner cruise at sunset. Sunset is truly the best time for any cruise. You will have spectacular views of the Eiffel Tower and many other landmarks .
Many cruises are guided in English and will give you intimate information about the sites you see. Pass beneath the beautiful bridges and take as many photos as your heart desires!
15. Day Trip to the Palace of Versailles
The Palace of Versailles and its gardens are exquisite! This 18th-century palace built by King Louis XIV is a 45-minute drive from Paris and is perfect for a day trip. If you love art and history, book a full-day guided tour.
If you like to wander on your own, this can be more of a half-day trip. Either way, you won’t be sorry! You’ll roam endless rooms elaborately decorated, filled floor to ceiling with art. Then, get lost in the magnificent gardens, which feel like a maze.

Everything You Need to Know About Vogue World: Paris
By Emma Specter
You might have thought that nothing could top last year’s Vogue World event in London , and while it was, indeed, a hard event to top (I mean, the Supers ! Annie Lennox! A pregnant Sienna Miller in baby-bump-revealing Schiaparelli!), but prepare yourself, because this year's edition is taking place in arguably the most iconic fashion city in the world: Paris. Vogue World: Paris will draw inspiration from the 2024 Summer Olympics, which are also to be held in the City of Lights. Find all the details you need on the event below, including where the event will take place, which fashion and arts luminaries will be working behind the scenes, how athletics will be involved, and most importantly, how you can watch. You can also sign up to get Vogue World: Paris updates here.
When is Vogue World: Paris?
Vogue World: Paris will take place on Sunday, June 23, 2024, and can be watched on Vogue 's exclusive livestream from Paris at 2 p.m. EST.
Where will Vogue World: Paris be held?
The famed Place Vendôme, a fashionista-favorite square of Paris that has served as everything from a global hub for fine jewelry to the inspiration for a Catherine Deneuve film, will host Vogue World this June.
Who's helping to bring Vogue World: Paris to life?
Carine Roitfeld, Ib Kamara, Juan Costa Paz and Palais Galliera curator Alexandre Samson will be helming this year's fashion events at Vogue World: Paris, with Dame Pat McGrath returning to lead makeup design and world-renowned dancer (and Rihanna Super Bowl halftime show choreographer!) Parris Goebel overseeing artistic direction and choreography. The globally broadcast livestream will be directed for the third time by Sam Wrench, who is perhaps best known for his work on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour film.
What about the event has been announced ?
This year's edition of Vogue World is being imagined in collaboration with youth athletic academies from throughout France, pairing each Olympic sport—cycling, gymnastics, tennis, taekwondo, fencing, and break dancing, among others—with a theme of French fashion for every decade since 1924 (which happens to be when Paris last hosted the Olympic Games.) The fashion selection will showcase French designers, current and past, as well as houses that historically present their collections in Paris—and, of course, there are rumored to be numerous surprise live performances in the works, but those won't be revealed until the day of.
How will Vogue World: Paris differ from previous versions of the event?
“If Vogue World: New York was a street fair, and Vogue World: London was a glamorous night at the theater—supporting arts and cultural organizations in London—Paris will be a kind of opening ceremony; one that celebrates 100 years of fashion and sport, as well as this extraordinary city," said Vogue Global Editorial Director and Condé Nast Chief Content Officer Anna Wintour, who was joined at the Place Vendôme's famous Ritz Paris by designers Simon Porte Jacquemus, Olivier Rousteing, Marine Serre, and Pharrell Williams, as well as Executive President of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode Bruno Pavlovsky and a number of French Olympians, including fencer Enzo Lefort.
Which local organizations is Vogue World: Paris working with?
A portion of the net proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Paris 2024 charitable tickets program in association with Secours Populaire, a humanitarian organization dedicated to granting individuals in low-income households the unique opportunity to attend the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The organization also facilitates access to essential equipment for young, aspiring athletes across France.

A Taylor Swift fan recently shared her disappointing experience at the singer's sold-out Eras Tour in Melbourne, Australia. Despite paying $800 for a ticket, she found that her view of the stage was obstructed by a massive tent "tower" at the 100,000-seat-strong Melbourne Cricket Ground. She took to TikTok to express her frustration, revealing that other attendees from Sydney were also left in tears over the obstructed view after spending hundreds of dollars to see the pop star's show.
The fan recounted her ordeal, stating that when she raised the issue with venue workers, they seemed unable to provide a satisfactory solution. "They moved us to another restricted area but thankfully better than our original view," she wrote on social media. "Took an hour of talking to 5 different supervisors, but we could see the stage which was all that mattered. Didn't think paying for VIP would get us restricted seats."
Another fan shared a similar predicament, having paid $800 for VIP tickets only to discover that the stage was completely obstructed by a crew and sound mix tent. She expressed her frustration on TikTok before eventually being moved to a different spot with a better view of the stage after speaking with several supervisors.
The fans' experiences shed light on the challenges faced by some concertgoers despite spending significant amounts of money for VIP and regular tickets. This highlights the importance of ensuring that ticket holders have access to the promised views and experiences, especially at high-profile events like Taylor Swift's sold-out concerts.
Taylor will take two months before resume her tour in Paris
As Swift wraps up her Singapore concerts on March 9 and prepares to resume her global tour in Paris on May 9, these incidents serve as a reminder for event organizers and venues to prioritize the overall experience of ticket holders. The Post has reached out to Swift's representatives for comment on the matter.
In conclusion, these accounts serve as a cautionary reminder for both fans and event organizers about the importance of delivering on the promised concert experience, particularly for those who have invested significant amounts in tickets. As fans eagerly anticipate Swift's upcoming shows, it is crucial for organizers to address and rectify such issues to ensure that all concertgoers can fully enjoy the highly anticipated performances.

Zarah Ann Gladys of India youngest competitor at World Skateboarding Tour 2024 in Dubai
The eight-year-old took part in the women’s park event and finished 61st in the qualification round. The event offers Olympic ranking points.
India’s Zarah Ann Gladys , at just eight years of age, competed at the World Skateboarding Tour 2024 in Dubai, UAE on Wednesday.
Zarah scored 8.50 in the women’s park skateboarding qualifying round and finished 61st out of 63 competitors at the Dubai Harbour. She was the youngest skater at Dubai Park 2024 . Riders performed two 45‑second runs, with the best counting as the final score.
The park skateboarding events take place on a hollowed-out course, involving bowls, curves and ramps. The skateboarders are judged by the height and speed of the tricks they carry out during jumps, as well as their capacity to use the surface.
Zarah Ann Gladys made her international debut at the Skateboarding Park World Championship 2023 in Rome last year, where she had the best run of 10.66.
Hailing from Kerala, she currently resides in the UAE, pursuing her passion for skateboarding along with her education.
Zarah started skateboarding at the age of four when she saw her friends practicing it during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has since taken part in several local and international competitions and won titles at UAE’s Aljada Skate Jam and Circuit X.
Zarah also clinched a silver medal at India’s National Roller Skating Championships in December 2022 in the under-9 age group.
Japan’s 21-year-old Yosozumi Sakura, the Tokyo Olympic champion, produced an 82.00 score on Wednesday to ace the qualifying event . The USA’s Ruby Lilley (77.50) and Japan’s 13-year-old Hasegawa Mizuho (76.65) came second and third, respectively. The top 28 entered the quarter-finals.
The Dubai meet is a crucial event for skateboarders looking to improve their Olympic World Skate Ranking for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The Dubai Park 2024 will end on March 3. It will be followed by street skateboarding events, which will conclude on March 10.
