The Killers announce outdoor shows on huge 2022 Australia tour

Is there anything more perfect than shouting along to The Killers in the sunshine?

Get your dancing shoes ready because American rockers The Killers are heading our way in 2022.

The November and December tour dates will be The Killers’ first time back on our shores since their 2018 Australasian tour, which included ten sold-out arena shows. As well as playing arenas in major capital cities, they will also perform two unforgettable a day on the green shows alongside an outdoor show at some of Australia’s most beautiful wineries.

Talk about the perfect way to experience The Killers’ incredible catalogue of hits.

The Killers will tour our shores as part of their 2022 Imploding The Mirage World Tour, which will see the band playing headline shows and festivals across the globe in celebration of their sixth album, the ARIA #1  Imploding The Mirage .

Earlier this year, while touring was still on hold due to the ongoing pandemic, The Killers released their seventh studio album, the quieter, character-study-driven album,  Pressure Machine .  The resulting record is an aural document of growing up, and living, in the American Southwest.

So it’s safe to say that alongside classic hits like ‘Mr Brightside’, ‘When We Were Young’, ‘Human’, ‘The Man’, and ‘Bones’, The Killers have got a stack of new music to show Australian fans.

Since bursting on to the scene in 2004 with their double platinum debut album Hot Fuss, The Killers have gone on to sell over 30 million albums worldwide and headline some of the biggest festivals and stages in the world – cementing their place in music fans hearts and playlists in every corner of the globe.

Don’t miss your chance to see The Killers perform in these special, not-to-be-missed outdoor concerts when they land on Australian shores in 2022.

The Killers will bring their new albums Imploding The Mirage and Pressure Machine to Australian stages in November and December 2022. Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster.com.au.

  • South Australia – Saturday 3 December | Peter Lehmann, Barossa Valley

When do tickets for The Killers Australia tour go on sale?

The Killers will bring their new albums Imploding The Mirage and Pressure Machine to Australian stages in November and December 2022. Tickets go on sale to the general public from Monday 15 November @ 2pm (local) via Ticketmaster.com.au.

Make sure you have a My Ticketmaster account

Get the basics covered before tickets go on sale by logging in and checking your Ticketmaster account ahead of time. If you don’t have a Ticketmaster Account then make sure you sign up in advance –  Ticketmaster.com.au .

Sign into your My Ticketmaster account ahead of time

Remember to triple check your passwords, account information, and billing information are all filled in correctly in advance, that way you’re not facing any last-minute account updates when trying to process your order.

Keep your options open with ‘Best Available’

Save time by searching “Best Available,” which scans all sections fast – it’s quicker than searching sections one at a time.

Keep an eye on the clock

There will be a time limit applied to all transactions as they’re progressed through the ticket purchasing stages. Remember to keep an eye on the timer on your screen and move through the processing pages as quickly as possible (this is even easier when you’ve completed the account set-up stage we mentioned above).

Don’t refresh your screen

Stick to one window while you’re in the Waiting Room and when you’re being pushed through the Smart Queue and always resist the urge to refresh.

Hitting the refresh button means you’ll lose your place in the queue and, as frustrating as it can get, patience is the only way to win this game. Ticketmaster is equipped with sophisticated systems that are designed to manage and process ticket purchases as quickly as possible. The queuing system that appears on your screen will place you at the front of the line as soon as possible.

Remember: there are a lot of fans

We’re expecting this to be a very popular event. When a popular event goes on sale there are hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of customers all attempting to purchase tickets at the same time. Tickets are sold as long as seats are available, and when an act is as popular as The Killers, sometimes they go very quickly.

Be sure to follow the above tips to ensure you have the best chance of snapping up some tickets.

We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again: The Killers Australian tour tickets go on general sale from Monday 15 November @ 2pm (local) via Ticketmaster.com.au.

THE KILLERS ANNOUNCE AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND IMPLODING THE MIRAGE TOUR 2022 INCLUDING TWO A DAY ON THE GREEN SHOWS We’re back! After the toughest two years in a day on the green’s 21-year history, Australia’s favourite outdoor concert event is proud to announce its return with the a day on the green debut for one of the biggest live bands in the world – THE KILLERS . Roundhouse Entertainment and Frontier Touring are thrilled to welcome THE KILLERS back to Australia and New Zealand for a massive nine-date mix of arena and outdoor shows on their Imploding The Mirage Tour 2022 in November-December. Originally announced in 2020 when COVID first halted worldwide touring, this will be The Killers’ first time back on our shores since their 2018 Australasian tour which included ten completely sold-out arena shows. The tour will see THE KILLERS make their a day on the green debut with two big outdoor shows – Peter Lehmann in the Barossa Valley, SA on Saturday 3 December and Mt Duneed Estate in Geelong, VIC on Saturday 10 December, 2022. Tickets on sale Monday 15 November via adayonthegreen.com.au/thekillers THE KILLERS will play headline shows and festivals across the globe in celebration of their sixth studio album, the critically acclaimed ARIA #1 album Imploding The Mirage (out now through Island Records/Universal Music Australia). “The Killers are the pinnacle of live music performances and should be seen for both the spectacle and showmanship of the band.” – The Advertiser Earlier this year while touring was still on hold due to the pandemic, THE KILLERS released their seventh studio album, the quieter, character-study-driven Pressure Machine . It’s an aural document of growing up – and living – in the American Southwest, told from a myriad of perspectives. Pressure Machine includes Quiet Town and Runaway Horses (featuring Phoebe Bridges). The band performed album track In Another Life  on The Late Late Show with James Corden . Imploding The Mirage was self-produced by the band in partnership with musical engineer Shawn Everett (The War On Drugs, Kacey Musgraves, Beck) and Foxygen multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Rado. The album, as a whole, is heavily influenced by the likes of Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel, Bruce Springsteen and New Order and was a return to the Heartland Rock sounds of much-loved albums like Sam’s Town and Battle Born . The list of featured artists includes Lindsey Buckingham, k.d. lang, Weyes Blood, Adam Granduciel (War On Drugs), Blake Mills, and Lucius. “If Wonderful Wonderful was an arm around a trembling shoulder, Imploding The Mirage is a raised fist to the future. It’s the sort of attitude that could help us all endure such trying times, and The Killers’ sixth album sounds unbreakable too. They long ago reached their natural pumped-up radio rock peak, yet here sound as though they’ve been hitting the sonic steroids. The Killers have made another dazzling statement of ultra-modern pomp, and one arguably even more in step with new generations of alt-rock. It’s a musical DeLorean: rooted in mainstream Americana but speeding into adventurous horizons.” ★★★★ – NME THE KILLERS first burst onto the scene in 2004, topping Australian charts and going double platinum with debut album Hot Fuss . Featuring hit singles Mr. Brightside and Somebody Told Me , the album received instant popularity and widespread international success. Since then, the band have sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, and headlined all of the world’s top festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, and received countless accolades, including multiple Grammy nominations, American Music Award nominations, MTV Video Music Awards and NME Awards. THE KILLERS have amassed more than 393 million streams and sold more than one million albums (and counting) in Australia alone! On the very same day that 2017’s Wonderful Wonderful hit #1 on the ARIA Album chart, the band took to the stage at the hallowed Melbourne Cricket Ground for the 2017 AFL Grand Final and absolutely nailed their set: “The Killers’ set has already started to be considered as one of the greatest AFL performances.” - Tone Deaf “The Killers have killed it with the crowd at the AFL Grand Final as they kicked off pre-game festivities in front of a packed MCG with a bite-size rock festival” - Herald Sun THE KILLERS are exceptionally well-loved Down Under with all ten shows on the band’s 2018 tour completely selling out. Live music is back and we’re thrilled to welcome fans back to a day on the green to celebrate our 21st season. Secure tickets now for these not-to-be-missed shows. Alex Cameron and Jack Ladder have been named as the special guests for The Killers ’ imminent Australasian tour.

  • READ MORE: The Killers: “There are a lot of young people unsure of their place in this world”

First announced in November 2021, The Killers’ ‘Imploding The Mirage’ tour will hit Australian shores next month, with the band performing nine shows across the country through to December 19. In addition to their Australian dates – which include shows in Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, among other cities – The Killers will also perform in Auckland and Christchurch on November 21 and November 25 respectively.

Cameron and Ladder will join The Killers on various dates of the tour. For his part, Ladder will provide support for both of The Killers’ NZ shows, alongside additional dates in the Hunter Valley, Geelong and Barossa Valley – the last two of which form part of the band’s appearance at the concert series A Day On The Green.

Meanwhile, fellow singer-songwriter Cameron will share the spotlight with both Ladder and The Killers in the Hunter Valley and A Day On The Green shows. Elsewhere, he’ll provide solo support for The Killers’ Australian dates in Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney. Cameron’s guest spot will coincide with his own run of headline shows in support of his  ‘Oxy Music’  album – which likewise kick off in November with stops in Fremantle, Sydney and New Zealand.

Remaining tickets for The Killers’ Australian and NZ tour are available here .

Earlier this year, Ladder embarked on a tour of his own alongside his backing band, The Dreamlanders. That tour  – which ran across six dates in April and May – came in support of Ladder’s 2021 album,  ‘Hijack!’ , and itself followed a run of 2021 dates in celebration of the 10th anniversary of his band’s debut album, ‘Hurtsville’.

The Killers’ ‘Imploding The Mirage’ tour comes in support of its namesake album , which was released in 2020. The band’s sixth studio LP featured the singles  ‘Caution’ , ‘C’est La Vie’ , and ‘My Own Soul’s Warning’ , and was described by NME as “experimentation meets canyon rock enormity” in a five-star review .

Since then, the band released their seventh studio album,  ‘Pressure Machine’ , in August of last year. In an interview with NME   after its release, drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr. described ‘Pressure Machine’ as “something new and fresh”.

The Killers Announce Australian & New Zealand Return In 2022

By Sosefina Fuamoli

The Killers will be back in our neck of the woods sooner rather than later, announcing national tour dates for November and December 2022.

The last time The Killers toured Australia was back in 2018; a ten-date arena tour that saw the band introduce fans to  Wonderful Wonderful . Since then, The Killers have dropped not one, but two new albums: 2020’s  Imploding The Mirage and this year’s  Pressure Machine . So safe to say, there’s *a lot* to catch up on.

These national tour dates step up to the plate for Summer 2022 after The Killers’ original plans for Australia in 2020 had to be postponed due to the pandemic. Now however, the dates are locked in, the band is primed for a return to stage and judging by how well their last two albums have landed, the fans are ready too.

The upcoming Australian and New Zealand tour for The Killers is taking place at a number of different venues – both arena and outdoors – presumably to ensure that as many fans as possible can get amongst these shows, and that they can take place in the safest way possible.

Tickets are on sale to the general public for the tour from Monday, November 15. If you’re Frontier Member though, a pre-sale is kicking off for y’all for 24 hours from Thursday, November 11. Some of the shows are handled via A Day On The Green too, so a separate pre-sale for the shows takes place on Thursday, November 11 as well, but at staggered times.

They'll be back to play seven massive shows at the end of the year

Las Vegas band The Killers released their sixth album Imploding The Mirage last year, another bright and bold collection of songs that showed the arena-indie-rockers at their confident, swaggering best.

The band had planned to be in Australia towards the end of last year, but the block on international travel meant they were no chance of fulfilling those dates.

Since that tour was put on ice, the band went ahead and released their seventh album as well, the more stripped back Pressure Machine , which has only made Australian fans all the more eager to see them back on our shores.

Mercifully they've now rescheduled their tour and will play seven massive shows at the end of 2022. They'll be the band's first Australian dates since 2018.

The band are one of the biggest to emerge since the turn of the century, with millions of records sold (over a million in Australia alone, thank you very much) and a sleek approach to indie rock that has inspired countless of ambitious bands who come in their wake.

Earlier this year we voted 'Mr Brightside' as one of the greatest debut singles of all time , but that song is but one of the many incredible contributions to modern music that will live on for decades to come.

The band were one of the headliners for the first ever Splendour XR festival a couple of months ago. Their career-spanning set was one of the weekend's highlights and a potent reminder of just how good this band is as a live proposition.

While back in Australia next year, The Killers will play a mix of indoor and outdoor shows, adding a few regional winery dates alongside the regular big city arenas. No matter where you catch them, their live show will blow you away.

Catch them playing the following shows:

Tuesday 29 November – Brisbane Entertainment Centre Saturday 3 December – Peter Lehmann, Barossa Valley Tuesday 6 December – RAC Arena, Perth Saturday 10 December – Mt Duneed Estate, Geelong Tuesday 13 December – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne Saturday 17 December – Hope Estate, Hunter Valley Monday 19 December – Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney

Tickets are on sale from Monday 15 November

The Killers Are Coming Down Under in 2022 for a Huge Arena and Winery Tour

Open up your eager eyes, Australia and New Zealand: The Killers are headed our way. With international tours starting back up again, the Las Vegas-born rockers will hit up a heap of arenas Down Under in November and December 2022 — and a few Aussie wineries, too, if you're keen on sipping vino while singing along to 'Mr Brightside'.

Destiny is calling you to shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Perth and Melbourne in Australia, plus winery gigs in the Barossa Valley, Geelong and the Hunter Valley, with most of the latter taking place as part of next year's A Day on the Green tour. In NZ, you'll be doing just fine at Auckland and Christchurch concerts — and no, there won't be any sick lullabies to swim through.

Given the band's lengthy back catalogue, Brandon Flowers and company won't just be playing 'Mr Brightside' on repeat, but will be making a hot fuss over plenty of their hits — including tracks from their 2020 album Imploding the Mirage . The tour is named after that record, even though they released another one, Pressure Machine , this year. That's what happens when live gigs get put on hold during a pandemic, clearly.

Remember: somebody told you that you'll be dancing along to 'Somebody Told Me', 'Smile Like You Mean It', 'When You Were Young', 'Bones', 'Human' and 'The Man' as well.

While the Aussie leg of The Killers' 2022 tour includes plenty of outdoor venues, the timing means that they won't be repeating their AFL Grand Final berth after stealing the show back in 2017.

The Killers Are Returning To Australia For 2022

Garry Lu

Right-o, champions. We’ve been stuck inside on and off for the past years. Now it’s time to come out of our cage and feel more than just fine. Because The Killers have just announced a bunch of Australia and New Zealand shows for their 2022 Imploding The Mirage tour – marking their first time back on our sunburnt shores since 2018.

Arriving two years after the tour in question was originally scheduled for – and named after the band’s sixth studio album The Mirage , which peaked at #1 on the ARIA charts – the icons behind such early-to-mid-2000 anthems such as ‘Mr Brightside’ and ‘When You Were Young’ will soon be gracing Brisbane, Perth, Geelong, Melbourne, and of course, Sydney in successive fashion.

The Rockpit

LIVE REVIEW: The Killers, RAC Arena Perth Australia 6th December 2022

7 December 2022 The Rockpit

killers tour australia

Just over two decades ago in 2001 I was in Las Vegas and stumbled upon a show by an unknown band called The Killers, they definitely had something that night  and tonight a healthy 21 years later in Perth Australia I got to witness the show that all bands starting out must dream of in their formative years. RAC Arena was packed tonight with a crowd that bounced and danced and sang their hearts out to the music of a little old band from Las Vegas that certainly know how to put on a show.

It all started out particularly impressive too with an opening burst of lights and confetti cannons that showered the crowd as the big screen showed images of lightning. It was an electric opening to what was a seriously impressive night on a usually sleepy Tuesday in Perth. That opening song ‘My Own Soul’s Warning’ set the mood for a night that featured a band in insanely good form with visuals that were more than just glitter, as times they were seriously artistic.

With a front man like Brandon Flowers you maybe don’t need all of that, he has a presence that can fill a room of any size and such a distinctive vocal that it can only be him, and with a band and backing singers just as impassioned the visuals were just the icing on a rather impressive cake. After that explosion the piano opening to Sam’s Town’s ‘Enterlude’ and the perfect Pop Rock of ‘When You Were Young’ from the same record keep the momentum going and the visuals frame everything beautifully with bars of white vertical lights and a stage framed by spots.

killers tour australia

Flowers certainly has the traits of the entertainers of his home town, part Vegas showman, part snake oil salesman and part preacher, he’s 100% Rock Star  and tonight with relatively few words he controls the crowd from his keyboards hidden behind a glowing infinity symbol; and when he asks early on if he can get an ‘amen’ there’s a huge response from tonight’s congregation.

‘Jenny Was a Friend of Mine’ feeds back a huge refrain from the crowd to the stage, and ‘Shot At the Night’ takes the energy down beautifully invoking vocal snatches of Steve Winwood-like vocals as the stage is lit red. Pressure Machine’s ‘Cody’ that follows is a wonderful story and juxtaposed wonderfully next to  ‘Human’ with its flashy visuals and wonderful Pop drive which sees everyone on the floor dance, just shows the wonderful diversity of the band.

The crowd reaction to ‘Somebody Told Me’ is just wild and anyone not moved by it isn’t in this building. It’s a huge song for the audience and one that could easily be an encore and if the party hadn’t already started the confetti cannons are fired up again to shower the crowd a second time.

killers tour australia

The rest of the set is just as consummate and charts the ever evolving music of the band from the soulful ‘Fire in Bone’ to time tested classics like ‘For Reasons Unknown’ or the desert scenes that are the backdrop for the expansive ‘A Dustland Fairytale’ and the visuals of old Vegas that sit behind ‘Dying Breed’. And without catching a breath, it seems, we’re left with the roof raising ‘All These Things’ which raises the energy in the house further still.

Perth is treated to three encores with ‘Spaceman’ leading the charge before a wonderful version of ‘Run With Cover’. The anticipation for show closer ‘Mr. Brightside’ is of course written across everyone’s faces and it delivers the most perfect close to a truly great Rock show. It’s may have been four long years since The Kilers were last Downunder and you get the feeling that everyone here tonight has been eagerly waiting for this one, but tonight it’s like they never left. Truly memorable like a great Rock show should be and more.

If you’re in Melbourne or Sydney, get ready – the big one is coming your way!

More The Killers

The Killers  will play a special one-off concert after midnight at Liberty Hall, Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park on Monday, 19 December - straight after their Sydney show at Qudos Bank Arena on Sunday night.

Frontier Touring and The Killers revealed the exciting news this morning, delighting fans of the Mr Brightside group who have dreamed of seeing them in a smaller venue.

Frontier Members can access the pre-sale from tomorrow, Thursday, 15 December, at 10 am AEDT. Tickets sold to the general public begin on Friday, 16 December, at noon. Find tickets here .

The Killers surprised and thrilled their fans in New Zealand in late November when they performed an intimate show after midnight at Auckland’s Town Hall following their Spark Arena show on the same night. Sound familiar?

We caught The Killers on their first stop in Australia this year at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre . "The band’s music stands on the shoulders of giants (especially a famous one from New Jersey), and the concert was as much of a celebration of their own songs as it was a celebration of the music that has inspired them – heard in the echoes of Erasure’s A Little Respect in Robbie Connolly’s synth refrain on Boy ; or Ronnie Vannucci’s In-the-Air-Tonight drum fills during Shot At The Night ; or Flowers’ decision to cover The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face , intimately accompanied by Sablay on guitar," Roshan Clerke wrote.

Clerke added, "The band’s catalogue is full of prayers, petitions, religious allusions, and oblique questions about ontology, and the fact that they have managed to build their success on the strength of such slanted and memorably elliptical, if sometimes preposterous, songwriting (it was surreal to look around the crowd during Human , Read My Mind , and All These Things That I’ve Done and wonder exactly how many different pages we were all on regarding these songs’ meanings) is a testament not only to the enduring power of twentieth-century popular music but also to the rubbery, elastic qualities of the English language; it is truly some kind of mysterious."

The Killers Are Returning To Australia To Play Huge Winery Shows & We’re In A Hot Fuss Already

the killers australia tour 2022

Courtney Fry

Yep, you read that extremely right – The Killers are returning to Australia for a massive tour, including their first run at winery shows wineries in the Barossa and Hunter valleys, and Victoria’s surf coast wine region. You bloody beauty.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by The Killers (@thekillers)

The iconic Las Vegas band is bringing their huge Imploding The Mirage tour to our shores at the end of 2022 – quite literally one year from now – and spending a near month tripping around Australia and NZ to play a shitload of area shows and winery spots.

They’ll be kicking things off at Spark Arena in Auckland on November 21, then playing Christchurch Arena on November 25, before jumping across the ditch to Brisbane Entertainment Centre and then sending it around the country to perform our national anthem (‘Mr Brightside’) to everyone right across the country.

Close your eyes and just imagine it: it’s the 3rd of December, it’s golden hour at the Peter Lehmann winery in the Barossa Valley, you’ve necked half a bottle of wine, and they’re kicking into the first riff of ‘When You Were Young’. Everything is suddenly right in the world, and there’s nothing that could spoil the pure serotonin that’s thrumming through your body.

Tickets for these frankly massive shows are on sale from 2pm local time on Monday, November 15, with cheeky presales happening for both the Day On The Green shows and the larger Frontier touring run.

So alert all your mates and get ready to witness some of the largest singalongs to ‘Mr Brightside’ you’ve ever fucking seen. God it’s good to be back.

The Killers are an American post-punk alternative rock band formed in Las Vegas, US, in 2001 by members Brandon Flowers and Dave Keuning, who found each other through a newspaper ad.

Since day one The Killers have had a sound, which cannot be confined or compared to those around them. Their rock music is intense yet has a pop-inspired theatricality, which borrows as much from bands like Oasis and The Smiths as it does from artists such as David Bowie.

The band’s first shows in Las Vegas found a loyal audience, but stuck out like a sore thumb from the metal and rap acts flooding the local scene. Keeping to this mentality, The Killers found their initial successes not within their home country of the United States but within the United Kingdom, where the song “Mr. Brightside” premiered on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show and consequently found the band a huge following.

Albums “Hot Fuss”, “Sam's Town”, “Day & Age” and “Battle Born” have all reached number one in the UK charts shortly after their release. In the United States, The Killers’ debut album “Hot Fuss” went triple platinum with the single “Mr. Brightside” hitting number 10 in the US charts.

The band’s musical talent has been recognized with seven Grammy Award nominations, as well as multiple Brit Awards and NME Awards for their various albums and singles such as “Human” and “When We Were Young”. Fans of the band include megastars such as Jay-Z, who described the band’s MO as taking “what's old and mak[ing] it sound new again."

As their popularity continues to grow, The Killers have extended their worldwide tours to include countries such as Russia and China along with spots all over Europe and North America. Along with an ever-growing list of countries to tour, the venues the band plays to are also expanding at an incredible rate. In recent years The Killers have found themselves playing to insane audiences at Madison Square Gardens, US; Wembley Stadium, UK; and The Royal Albert Hall, UK.

Live reviews

If you've never seen The Killers live, you should probably kick yourself. As a long-time fan, but someone who hadn't seen them in concert until their latest studio effort, I still find myself kicking myself for never having gone to see them.

The energy when they're on stage is infectious. They feed off each other and also the crowd, and the crowd feeds off of them - always seeming to leave both sides hungry for more. I guess that's what a great live band does.

For the show at Borgata's new Festival Park venue, the first surprise was the return of the K as part of the keyboard stand. This iconic throwback to the Day and Age era kinda had me hoping this wouldn't be more or less the same Battle Born tour set list that they've been doing for nearly three years. At 20 songs long, it was a full set, with a few surprises, but was largely unchanged from the last time I saw them. Of course, this is a band that has four albums under their belts, and because they don't want to disappoint more casual fans (as in non-Victims), they don't want to leave out any of their hits.

Opening with Mr. Brightside, lights still on, the smile on Brandon Flowers' face was apparent that he has missed his onstage brothers. The smile didn't fade as they drove on into Spaceman, and after introducing the band as well as Ted "Named after the great Ted Williams" Sablay and Jake "The Snake" Blanton, they carried on to The Way It Was. Smile Like You Mean It led into Bling, followed by Human. A return to their first album was introduced by a chills-inducing heavy bass opening as Somebody Told Me reminded everyone why they became as big as they are.

A cover of CCR's Bad Moon Rising led into a surprise of their 2012 album Battle Born as they played the life out of The Rising Tide - a nice surprise. After Shot at the Night, For Reasons Unknown, and From Here On Out, things slowed down for Dustland Fairytale and another surprise, Be Still. Read My Mind and Runaways led into a bittersweet All These Things I've Done. Why bittersweet? When All These Things comes on, fans know it's the last of their main set.

The last surprise of the night came with the first of their encores as they rolled into Uncle Jonny. We know that The Killers (almost) always include their very first album opener: Jenny Was a Friend of Mine - They don't come all the way from Las Vegas and not play Jenny. When You Were Young was the show's closer.

With the news report over, here's the editorial portion of the review.

This band never disappoints - even in the rare instance that they're off their game, they're still on their game. For the show in Atlantic City at Borgata Festival Park they were undoubtedly on their game. Seeing them on stage together, it was as though it was where they wanted to be. The show in AC, before a crowd of 4500, was a warmup for the 70,000 strong crowd at Firefly. Of the 4500 people leaving Festival Park, I don't think one of them was disappointed. I even caught one of the guys working security singing along to a few of their older hits.

While I would have loved to have seen some of the lesser-played songs instead of the set they played, it's only because I've seen them do these songs so often, and had never seen them perform prior to 2012 (huge mistake on my part). The Killers want people to leave their shows with a sense of satisfaction, so, playing their most popular songs is a given. Still, I would just love to hear Sam's Town at least one more time, and quite honestly, I wish they'd drop the cover song they do (for the last 6 shows I've seen, they have always done Bad Moon Rising). With an arsenal of 4 full albums, they certainly have enough original material to play a full set without tossing in a cover version. (At least it's not Shadowplay!)

Nothing would ever be able to stop me from making the effort to see this band perform. The 22 hour round-trip to the Jersey Shore was well worth it; they never disappoint. Ever. If I could, I'd be at a Killers show every night for the rest of my life.

Yes, a Killers show is one of my personal Sam's Towns - if you don't know what that means, do yourself a favor, and while waiting for their next tour, check out their live DVD - Live From the Royal Albert Hall. You'll see why Victims, myself included, will travel all kinds of distances to see these guys perform.

The Killers played the first night of Lollapalooza last year, and they made it a night I'll never forget. From the stage lighting to visual effects on the screens, The Killers put on a show that captivated the thousands of people that came out to watch them. The band erupted with "Mr. Brightside," which sent the audience into a state of excitement. Everyone started dancing/jumping/singing to the music. There was a lot of jostling around, and I kept getting pushed forward by people from behind trying to get closer to the stage. I remember while I was belting out the lyrics to "Human," someone grabbed my arm and started dancing with me. The audience was so friendly, and looking around, many people had huge smiles on their faces that shone against the colorful stage lights. The Killers have been around for quite some time, and anyone can see that they are clearly at ease playing in front of thousands of people. The lead singer, Brandon Flowers, sang even better live compared to the audio recordings. He didn't even take a water break or anything; he just kept going and going, and throughout the entire performance, his energy stayed sky high (his collared shirt was unbuttoned and drenched with sweat by the end if the night). He introduced the rest of the band and was very interactive with the crowd, reaching out to touch outstretched hands. The concert had a fun, friendly vibe to it, and I was surrounded by people who were all so happy to be there. That concert was the first time I experienced a night show outdoors, let alone in the heart of downtown Chicago. Looking up around me, the skyscrapers we're lit up and the stage lights bounced off of them. It was such a beautiful sight. Jamming out to awesome music under the city lights was the perfect way to end my first night at Lolla.

This was, so far, the best concert for The Killers that I've ever seen (& I've seen them 3 times already). The acoustics for the Staples Center wasn't the absolute best, but it didn't matter when the whole stadium was singing at the top of their lungs along with the band. First of all, since this was the Wonderful Wonderful Tour, I thought the band would play mostly songs from the new album, but to my surprise, they performed a great mix of songs from their entire discography. What surprised me the most was that The Killers played a ton more songs from their Hot Fuss album than they ever had before. They even dug deep to perform such notable songs like "Andy, You're A Star" & "Smile Like You Mean It". A beautifully sweet touch was when the band performed a new, sort of spur-of-the-moment, song about Los Angeles...a song they had written on the road just before their L.A. leg of the tour. One of the major highlights of the entire concert was when the band had invited a young teenage fan up onto the stage to play the drums on the song "For Reasons Unknown". Apparently this has become an ongoing tradition of the band, to invite fans up on the stage to perform with them. This was such a touching, yet totally bad-ass moment, & I hope The Killers keep on doing this at every concert tour from now on. By the end of the concert, my friends & I had lost our voices from singing & screaming so loudly, but it was one thousand percent worth it. The Killers proved with their electrifying & humorous stage presence, along with their amazing voices & talent, that they will forever hold the spot of being my all-time favorite band.

The killers in vancouver, how can i even but this into words that people will comprehend? For me, the killers are my favorite band and Brandon Flowers is a HUGE inspiration in my life. His style of writing impacts me in a huge way. Also, for me, the killers music helped me a lot with personal problems that had hit me pretty hard in my life. I listen to their music when i'm happy, sad, healthy or sick, and for me, seeing this concert was in a way, life saving. And being such a huge fan, i had high hopes for this show and they did not at all disapoint. I went to this show with one of my closest friends, who is also a huge killers fan. The show began with 'Wonderful Wonderful' (as you may have assumed) and soon after they jumped right into 'The Man'. The setlist was incredible. I honestly couldn't say that i was disappointed with any of the songs they chose to play. I wish they would have done 'Bones' or 'Under the Gun' but i had low hopes when it came to those two. The stage presents was incredible. I couldn't take my eyes off of Brandon. He is just one of those people who can really own a stage and engage a crowd. And coming from an aspiring guitarist, i would normally be watching the guitarist almost out of habit; but with the exception of guitar solos, I was watching Brandon. This is a show I would heavily recommend going to. For me, it was the greatest experience of my life. The only negative of the show is figuring out how you're going to top it.

I hadn't listened to the Killers in several years and was invited by a friend to go see them in concert. I'd forgotten how good they were! Their show was full of energy and the evening was nothing short of spectacular. It seemed like every inch of the stage was covered with lights, and the show was filled with special effects some including fireworks. A Killers concert is like a massive stadium type of show, full of power and special effects.

The band played all their hit songs and even included some cover songs that really were done well. One of the really good covers they played was the Smiths “There is a Light that Never goes out”. The crowd was very energized and the show started out at full force when they opened with one of their better know songs “When You were Young”. The band finished with several encores including some of their first hits, I guess the show ended up lasting about 90-95 minutes.

The venue was large but it was pretty full. The crowd did get a little out of control at some points during the show, but the stadium was large enough that they had good security and you could just move away from people who were getting carried away. The band is getting older but they sounded great. It is good to see them back in rock and roll form.

The Killers delivered a high energy polished show. Brandon was in great voice, drummer was fantastic. A great rock show for sure.

The venue, however... just atrocious. Place Bell in Laval is a new arena for 10K attendance, but it has massive logistical & design failures. 1) crowds waited 25-60 minutes to enter the building ... outside in -35C! ... due to an inadequate entry plan. Thousands of concertgoers were invited to show up between 7-8 pm, to be greeted by 4 open doors and 6 security stations. 2) parking congestion nightmares & traffic woes before and after the show 3) electricity on stage went out 3 times during the show 4) other concert-goers reported no drinking fountains, toilet paper, limited mobility access...

SUMMARY: Go See the Killers, not at Place Bell in Laval.

The Killers, as always, were amazing beyond mere words. I've seen them in concert before, but somehow this particular concert at Outside Lands 2014 was especially memorable. From singing Credence Clearwater Revival & Otis Redding covers, to performing all their greatest hits (and then some). I was completely pumped up from beginning to end. As per their usual Las Vegas-ian flare, the light show almost stole the spotlight from Brandon Flowers & his famous lightning bolt keyboard, but no one can captivate & amp up an audience like Mr B Flowers. I think I might have been one of the loudest singers in my section of the crowd. Singing along to all the "Direct Hits" is always the best part of the concert!

It was my first time seeing The Killers after a number of years waiting to see them play live. I have never had an experience quite like this one. They are a truly special band to see play live, the energy of the crowd is infectious, and you are left wanting more. Brandon Flowers, man, I don't know how he does it. Plays show after show after show and still sounds incredible. The additions to the band were awesome and Ronnie is a beast (in the best way.) My favorite thing about their show was actually the stage design. It was so beautiful and colorful and set the tone perfectly for each song. You will have a BLAST at their show, whether you're a hardcore fan or not. Can't wait to see them again! :-)

I actually saw the show at Barclays on Tuesday the 8th. Let me start by saying I see a lot of concerts every year and was only familiar with the better known of The Killers songs. Having said that - they were EXCELLENT! Flowers is a magnificent front man with a set of pipes to carry stadiums. The band is flawless and so rock and roll. I will judge a band by how much they can hook me with a song I’ve never heard before . From the opening with Wonderful Wonderful and The Man thru The Calling start to the encore I was dazzled. I downloaded everything and I’m now a confirmed fan. I will see them again ASAP. One of the best live I have seen -ever. And I’m no spring chicken.

It was amazing!!! From the moment they went on stage to the very last second it was just so much positive energy coming from the band. The crowd was bad, but that isn’t The Killers’ fault! They did the absolute most and it paid off. Brandon hit those high notes despite his flu, Ronnie was legendary on the drums, Ted was amazing, the choir was amazing, et cetera et cetera. It’s a shame (especially for the people that DID know all their songs) that the crowd bothered them so much that they didn’t play Mr. Brightside, but again, the band isn’t to blame.

These Las Vegas legends know how to give a great performance!
