Get your Lizzo tickets from TicketSmarter and catch one of the biggest stars in music today! Born as Melissa Viviane Jefferson in 1988, Lizzo has forged a dynamic sound that combines rap, R&B and classical flute. In a few short years, she has accomplished more than many artists could ever dream of in an entire career. Lizzo has released a total of three albums and an EP. The titles of the releases are “Lizzobangers,” released in 2013; “Big Grrrl Small World,” released in 2015; “Coconut Oil EP,” released in 2016 and “Cuz I Love You, released in 2019. The “Cuz I Love You” album catapulted Lizzo into the mainstream with the album peaking in the top five of the US Billboard 200, on top of the singles ‘Juice’ and ‘Tempo.’ This newfound notoriety resurrected her 2017 single ‘Truth Hurts,’ which became a viral hit and topped the US Billboard Hot 100 two years after its initial release.

Suddenly Lizzo tickets were in high demand. She received eight nominations at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, the most of any artist that year, and went on to win three including Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Truth Hurts.’ Lizzo has also dipped her toes into acting, appearing in the film “Hustlers” in 2019 and serving as a voice performer in the animated film “Ugly Dolls” in 2019. All of this success was enough to earn her the title of “Entertainer of the Year” from Time magazine for her astronomical rise and contribution to music.

If you want Lizzo tickets , now is the time to get them while prices are still cheap and under $100 for many seats and dates.

Lizzo announced her second concert tour, The Special Tour, in April 2022. The tour—which is set to begin at the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida, on September 23, 2022, and end at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California on November 18, 2022—is Lizzo ‘s first arena tour after her Cuz I Love You Tour in 2019 and 2020. “My first arena tour… I’m definitely gonna cry… Im not the girl I was or used to be… bitch I might be better. Because of you. Thank you 🥺” Lizzo tweeted in April.

In an interview with Los Angeles radio station 104.3 MYfm in April 2022, Lizzo explained why she chose Latto as her opening act and teased what her tour will look like. “I’m so excited because I’ve been a fan of Latto for a long time and now I’m so excited to go on with her!” she said. “It’s gonna be lit!” Lizzo also hinted that some of the dancers from her Amazon Prime Video series, Watch Out For the Big Grrrls , could join her on tour after she used four of them on Saturday Night Live in April 2022. “That felt good… I was like, ‘Yeah, let’s keep this up!’” she said.

Lizzo Tickets

Despite her love touring, Lizzo also told “The Angie Martinez Show” in April 2022 about how it can hard for her to enjoy her free time while she’s on the road. “The intimacy of autonomy.. you lose that,” Lizzo said. “I don’t think people even realize it because everyone has it. So i think losing that.. there were little things like when we would go on tour, we would be in different cities and my and my friends or my glam team and the dancers would go try different restaurants. And it would be like ‘Ok let’s just walk down here’ and it’s like ‘Ok cool meet you in the lobby in 15’. I couldn’t do that anymore because first I had to tell security and then security had to call a car and then we had to call the restaurant in advance and make special reservations and it was like two hours of our time and I was like ‘Just go without me y’all.’ It’s like I’m a burden to my friends.”

Back to Lizzo tickets. If you don’t have seats to The Special Tour yet, don’t worry because Lizzo tickets are still on sale and we have to secret to score a major discount.

What is Lizzo’s The Special Tour set list?

Lizzo’s The Special Tour set list won’t be known until her first concert at the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida, on September 23, 2022. However, it’s assumed that the set list will mostly include songs from Lizzo’s fourth studio album, Special , which will be released on July 15, 2022, and consists of 12 songs, including her lead single, “About Damn Time” and title track, “Special.” In an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music 1 in April 2022, Lizzo explained that the album was originally In Case Nobody Told You  until music producer Max Martin helped her “restructure” the hook of the song “Special,” which Lizzo changed her album title to.

“ Special is multipurposeful, and can mean so many things,” she said. “Specifically, I wrote a song on the album. It’s called Special, so it’s named after… It’s the titular song. The album was called In Case Nobody Told You for a while, and then Max Martin came on and he helped me change the hook a little bit and restructured it. He was like, ‘ Special , Special . The song is Special .’ I was like, ‘Okay.'”

She continued, “Then one day, I had this aha moment where I’m like, ‘Oh shit, the album is Special . Literally, the album is special, and I’m special.’ You know what I’m saying? I want the person to hear this to feel special. The way that you feel when you say that word is like… In Case Nobody Told You is cool, it has that same kind of dark… Everything now has this special feel to it, and this glow, this sparkle. Ever since that’s the era I’m moving into. It’s out of the darkness and into the light. I feel like the album is an incredible body of music, which was super important to me. I wanted to create good fucking music that actually was cohesive, and meaningful, and rich and lush, and I think people is… It could be a grower, it could be a shower. I don’t care, it’s good. Once people discover it, it’s going to make them feel good and them know what’s up.”

Who are Lizzo’s The Special Tour opening acts?

Lizzo’s The Special Tour opening act is Latto, who is scheduled to perform at all 23 dates. Latto is a rapper who is best known for her song “Big Energy” from her 2021 album, 777 . The song, which peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, was remixed with Mariah Carey and DJ Khaled in March 2022.

Lizzo tickets to the The Special Tour are still available on VividSeats.com and StubHub.com . Use code SC15 on Vivid Seats for $15 off.

Lizzo says she ‘quits,’ tired of being ‘dragged’ by public: ‘didn’t sign up for this s–t’.

Lizzo attends the 2024 Grammys on Feb. 4.

Lizzo says she is “quitting” — seemingly the music industry — months after her former backup dancers accused her of sexual harassment , body-shaming and creating a  hostile work environment in a lawsuit .

The 35-year-old “Truth Hurts” singer posted a statement to her Instagram on Friday, telling her 12.1 million followers, “I’m getting tired of putting up with being dragged by everyone in my life and on the internet.”

“All I want is to make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it. But I’m starting to feel like the world doesn’t want me in it,” she wrote.

Lizzo says she’s 'quits,' tired of being 'dragged' by public: 'Didn't sign up for this s—'

“I’m constantly up against lies being told about me for clout & views… being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look… my character being picked apart by people who don’t know me and disrespecting my name.”

The four-time Grammy winner , whose unapologetic body-positive messaging helped her star rise, concluded, “I didn’t sign up for this s–t- I QUIT.”

The Post has contacted reps for Lizzo for comment.

In a bombshell lawsuit filed in July, Lizzo’s former dancers Arianna Davis and Crystal Williams claimed they were eventually fired while the third plaintiff, Noelle Rodriguez, resigned over the artist’s “stunning” behavior.

Lizzo says she’s 'quits,' tired of being 'dragged' by public: 'Didn't sign up for this s—'

An alleged example of this included Lizzo forcing dancers to eat bananas from sex workers’ vaginas during a trip to Amsterdam’s Red Light District, according to the plaintiffs.

A month later, Asha Daniels, who claimed she was hired to work in Lizzo’s wardrobe department for her 2023 tour, also sued the singer over toxic workplace conditions.

More of Lizzi’s former collaborators, including creative director, Quinn Whitney Wilson, backed up the dancers’ claims.

Lizzo is known for embracing her curves and prompting self-love — a far cry from what her former employees are accusing her of.

Oscar-nominated director Sophia Nahlia Allison also chimed into the conversation, revealing that  she walked away from a Lizzo documentary  in 2019 because, “I was treated with such disrespect by her. I witnessed how arrogant and unkind she is.”

Allison then doubled-down with a second Instagram story standing with the dancers, saying “[Lizzo] is a narcissistic bully and has built her brand off of lies,” she wrote.

Lizzo denied all allegations in a lengthy statement on social media in August, calling them “false” and “unbelievable.”

“These last few days have been gut wrenchingly difficult and overwhelmingly disappointing. My work ethic, morals and respectfulness have been questioned. My character has been criticized,” she began. “Usually I choose not to respond to false allegations but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous to not be addressed.”

Lizzo says she’s 'quits,' tired of being 'dragged' by public: 'Didn't sign up for this s—'

“These sensationalized stories are coming from former employees who have already publicly admitted that they were told their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional.”

She continued, “As an artist I have always been very passionate about what I do. I take my music and my performances seriously because at the end of the day I only want to put out the best art that represents me and my fans.”

Lizzo Clarifies What She Meant With ‘I Quit’ Statement: ‘I’m Going to Keep Being Me’

When Lizzo posted a frank statement to Instagram last week declaring “I QUIT,” many fans assumed that the “Truth Hurts” singer meant that she was stepping away from the public eye for good. That’s why, when just two days later she started posting promo photos for her shapewear brand Yitty, some people were a little confused.

Lawyer for Lizzo’s Dancers Calls Out Singer Following ‘I Quit’ Post, Says It’s an ‘Outburst Seeking…

“I know I’m not alone,” she continued. “In no way, shape or form am I the only person who is experiencing that negative voice that seems to be louder than the positive … I’m going to keep moving forward, I’m going to keep being me.”

The video comes about four days after the singer shared a message to Instagram signed, in all-caps, “I QUIT.” “I’m getting tired of putting up with being dragged by everyone in my life and on the Internet,” read the note, posted March 29. “All I want is to make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it. But I’m starting to feel like the world doesn’t want me in it.”

“I’m constantly up against lies being told about me for clout & views…,” she continued at the time. “Being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look… my character being picked apart by people who don’t know me and disrespecting my name. I didn’t sign up for this sh–.”

Though the Grammy winner never specified which instances of “being dragged” she was referring to, it’s true that she’s been the subject of much scrutiny in recent months. In August last year, three of her former tour dancers filed a harassment lawsuit against her, alleging sexual misconduct and hostile work conditions.

However, the musician’s own lawyer followed up with a response shared with Billboard , “With nearly half his case dismissed, 18 independent witnesses siding with Lizzo and no settlement on the way to get him his tasty contingency fee, Ron has started making wild personal attacks that have absolutely nothing to do with the clients who he is supposedly representing.”

No matter what happens, it looks like Lizzo is determined to stay focused on the positive going forward. “I just want to say thank you,” she added in her new video, getting choked up. “The love that I’ve received, it means more than you know.”

Biden holds record-breaking New York City fundraiser with Barack Obama and Bill Clinton

By Aaron Navarro , Jordan Freiman

Updated on: March 29, 2024 / 6:54 AM EDT / CBS News

President Biden participated in a star-studded fundraiser with former Democratic Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton on Thursday in New York City in an event expected to raise more than $25 million for the president's re-election campaign.

Thursday's New York City fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall was hosted by actress Mindy Kaling and featured performances by several musical guests and artists, including Queen Latifah, Lizzo, Ben Platt, Cynthia Erivo and Lea Michele. The event was capped off with a nearly hourlong discussion between Mr. Biden, Obama and Clinton moderated by "The Late Show" host Stephen Colbert.

Obama accompanied Mr. Biden on the Air Force One flight from Washington, D.C., to New York earlier in the day.

Election 2024 Biden

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and first lady Jill Biden also delivered remarks during the event.

Schumer touted several of Mr. Biden's accomplishments and spoke of the potential for not just the president's re-election, but for Democrats to control all three branches of government with key wins in the 2024 election.

"Re-elect Joe Biden as president, put Hakeem Jeffries as Speaker, keep me as Majority Leader, and the next four years will be better than this. You ain't seen nothing yet," the Senate majority leader said.

The first lady, joined by several other members of the Biden family, recalled that after she agreed to marry Mr. Biden, "He said, 'Jill, I promise you, your life will never change.' Well that, of course, turned out to be wildly untrue."

She also spoke of the large sum raised for her husband's campaign.

"This is the biggest fundraiser the DNC has ever held – the fundraiser to end all fundraisers – and we've raised a record amount," Jill Biden said.

Mr. Biden, Obama and Clinton discussed a wide variety of topics, from the economy to the border to the Jan. 6, 2021 assault on the U.S. Capitol, which Mr. Biden bluntly referred to as an insurrection.

"I was supposed to make a speech on the economy, and I decided I couldn't remain silent," Mr. Biden said. "So what I did was I made a speech about January the sixth, what was happening. And I said it was an insurrection underway, and it must be dealt with and I plead with the president to stop and do his job, call these people off. He sat there in the dining room off the Oval Office for several hours and watched, didn't do a damn thing. That's why I felt obliged even though I wasn't sworn in yet. I was president-elect."

The fundraiser was interrupted by demonstrators protesting against the war in Gaza multiple times, and one who appeared to be yelling something about nuclear with Russia, throughout the night. One interruption came while Obama was discussing Gaza, to which he replied "You can't just talk and not listen," leading the audience to give him a standing ovation.

"It is also possible for us to have our hearts broken watching innocent people being killed and try to manage through that in a way that ultimately leads to both people being able to live in peace side by side," Obama said. "That is not an easy thing."

"It is important for us to understand that it is possible to have moral clarity and have deeply held beliefs, but still recognize that the world is complicated and it is hard to solve these problems," the former president added.

There were also Pro-Palestinian protests outside the music hall, CBS News New York reported . The New York Police Department told CBS News one person was detained. There was no word on why.

The demonstrators were chanting and screaming their messages, directing their anger toward Mr. Biden and, at times, at police officers.

Mr. Biden reiterated his support for Israel and its right to self defense, but said there were "too many innocent victims" and that more aid needs to get into Gaza. Mr. Biden also expressed support for a two-state solution.

"It's understandable there's such a profound anger, and Hamas is still there, but we must in fact, stop the effort resulting in significant deaths of innocent civilians, particularly children," Mr. Biden said.

The campaign has billed the event as the "most successful political fundraiser in American history."

During a swing through Texas earlier this month, the Biden campaign raised a combined $7 million from three separate fundraisers. A fundraiser for Mr. Biden in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Tuesday raised $2.3 million.

Mr. Biden's largest single-day haul prior to Thursday came in the 24 hours after his  State of the Union address earlier in March, when he raised $10 million, according to his campaign.

But Thursday's staggering sum is a new record for the campaign, and it further illustrates the growing cash gap between Mr. Biden and his presumptive general election opponent, former President Donald Trump.

Obama accompanied Mr. Biden on the Air Force One flight from Washington, D.C., to New York earlier Thursday.

Trump raised $20 million in the whole month of February and $8.8 million in January. He's also been dogged by legal bills and payments , with his campaign and the political action committees supporting him spending over $10 million in legal fees this year.

Mr. Biden's campaign committees have more than double the cash on hand of Trump's equivalent groups, $155 million for Mr. Biden and $74 million for Trump as of late March.

"Unlike our opponent, every dollar we're raising is going to reach the voters who will decide this election — communicating the President's historic record, his vision for the future and laying plain the stakes of this election," said Biden-Harris campaign co-chair and Hollywood mogul Jeffrey Katzenberg.

Trump's campaign sent out two fundraising emails Wednesday mentioning Mr. Biden's Thursday fundraiser, with one calling on "one million Trump supporters to donate to beat the "Obama-Clinton cartel" and the other reading, "We can't lose to Obama!"

3 presidents, celebrity performances and protester interruptions at Biden campaign's $26M fundraiser

President Joe Biden was joined Thursday by two of his Democratic predecessors for a star-studded fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall that his campaign said brought in more than $26 million.

Former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton participated in the event in New York with more than 5,000 supporters in attendance — including several protesters who interrupted the program when the three presidents were speaking.

Actor and comedian Mindy Kaling hosted the program, which ended at around 10 p.m., and late night host Stephen Colbert moderated a conversation with Biden, Clinton and Obama. Special guests include celebrities like Queen Latifah, Lizzo , Ben Platt, Cynthia Erivo and Lea Michele.

During the nearly hourlong moderated conversation, Colbert joked that the moment was historic because “three presidents have come to New York, and not one of them to appear in court,” taking a jab at former President Donald Trump’s criminal indictments and civil trials.

Clinton also took a swipe at Trump, the presumptive GOP nominee, arguing that he "had a good couple of years because he stole them from Barack Obama.”

But the discussion was interrupted at least five times by protesters. Colbert acknowledged one protester and asked Biden about the U.S. role in ensuring a peaceful and prosperous future for both Israelis and Palestinians.

Biden said more needed to be done to get relief into Gaza but added that Israel's very existence was at stake.

"There has to be a train for a two-state solution," Biden said. "It doesn’t have to carry today. There has to be a progression. And I think we can do that."

His response was met with a standing ovation and chants of "four more years."

Obama sternly addressed a protester when he was interrupted, saying, "You can’t just talk and not listen."

"That’s part of democracy," Obama added. "Part of democracy is not just talking. It’s listening. That’s what the other side does, and it is important for us to understand that it is possible to have moral clarity and have deeply held beliefs but still recognize that the world is complicated and it is hard to solve these problems."

The crowd erupted in applause.

Biden’s team has taken steps to minimize disruptions , including making events smaller and withholding exact locations longer than usual, after a speech in January when pro-Palestinian protesters interrupted him about a dozen times.

Outside the New York venue Thursday, more than 100 pro-Palestinian protesters chanted slogans like “Biden, Biden, you’re a liar,” and waved Palestinian flags and signs with anti-war messages.

The group Abandon Biden encouraged people to protest the president during his visit over the White House’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war.

“We cannot idly sit by as our president aides and abets genocide in Gaza,” the group’s New York co-chair Mosaab Sadia said in a statement. “The movement to Abandon Biden is only just beginning.”

protest nyc pro-palestinian

Inside Radio City Music Hall, the novelty of having three presidents in the same room was not lost on attendees.

Earlier in the program, Kaling joked about having Biden, Obama and Clinton in the same room, saying that when someone shouts “Mr. President,” three people turn around.

Ticket prices started at $250, but the largest contributions shot up to half a million dollars. Some of the biggest donors were to have their pictures taken with all three presidents by photographer Annie Leibovitz.

First lady Jill Biden called the program “the fundraiser to end all fundraisers.”

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., also delivered remarks.

For the three presidents, the fundraiser capped off a day of mobilization efforts that included sitting for an interview with the podcast "SmartLess," which the White House said would be available at a later, unspecified date.

They also sat for a discussion with Biden's campaign manager, Julie Chavez Rodriguez, which was streamed to grassroots donors. The presidents talked about re-election efforts — both Clinton and Obama served two terms — as well as lighter topics, like favorite ice cream favors.

"You're all part of an incredible team we're building, and we're just getting started," Biden said in his closing message during the discussion. "So let's keep going. Let's win this November."

The trio arrived at Radio City Music Hall together in "The Beast" — the president’s car in the motorcade.

Biden also invited Obama to ride in The Beast after he landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport, where they enjoyed catching up on their personal and professional lives, an aide to Obama told NBC News.

The show of unity among Biden, Clinton and Obama stands in stark contrast to Trump, who faces opposition from members of his own administration , including former Vice President Mike Pence , as he seeks a return to the White House in November.

Former President George W. Bush — the only other Republican former president — declined to support Trump in 2020.

The Trump campaign has not held a major event since March 16. Earlier Thursday, Trump attended the wake for a New York police officer who was shot and killed in Queens on Monday.

Biden and Trump are polling neck-and-neck, with 46% of voters supporting Trump and 45% supporting Biden, according to a March poll by CNBC . That poll, however, had Trump leading Biden by 30 percentage points when respondents were asked which candidate was the best on economic issues.

During Thursday's moderated discussion, Colbert asked Clinton what he would say to voters who do not feel like the economy is strong. Clinton answered that the 2008 recession and Covid are still affecting voters and that Trump did not sustain economic growth spurred by Obama. Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have methodically "put Humpty Dumpty back together again," Clinton said.

"We should not make 2016's mistake again," he added, referring to when Trump defeated his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

  • Made In America Festival canceled for the second year in a row

Organizers of the two-day concert, which had been an annual event on the Ben Franklin Parkway for a decade, announced Wednesday it would not take place in 2024.

MIchaela Althouse

The Made in America Festival has been canceled for the second straight year, organizers announced Tuesday, April 3. This file image shows Megan Thee Stallion performing at the concert 2019. It took place annually on the Ben Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia during Labor Day Weekend.

The Made in America Festival will not take place again in 2024. The  statement  from organizers announcing the news Wednesday didn't give a specific reason for canceling this year's concert and insisted the event would return.

The annual two-day music festival on the Ben Franklin Parkway , organized by Jay-Z's Roc Nation and Live Nation, had taken place most years since 2012, attracting top acts to perform in Philadelphia during Labor Day weekend. Made in America also was abruptly canceled in 2023 after the concert's lineup of performers had been released and tickets were sold.

"As purveyors of change, the Made In America executive production team is reimagining a live music experience that affirms our love and dedication to music and the work we do," the statement said. "We promise an exciting return to the festival."

This cancellation gives more notice than 2023, when organizers called off Made in America a month before it was scheduled to take place and had to issue refunds to people who bought tickets. The 2023 lineup was set to include headliners SZA and Lizzo along with Latto, Miguel, Ice Spice, Tems, Coi Leray, Coco Jones and Lil Yachty.

Over the years, Philadelphia artists, like Tierra Whack , Lil Uzi Vert and Jazmine Sullivan , have performed at Made in America.

In their statement Wednesday, Organizers said the event "strived for accessibility, eliminating barriers through affordable tickets and location," though it didn't officially cite skyrocketing ticket prices and scalpers as a reason for its cancellation.

Made in America took place each year since 2012, except during the pandemic in 2020 and last year. It typically drew thousands of fans. Some people reacting to the news online said the event hadn't been the same in the past few years, and one attributed the change to Budweiser stopping its sponsorship of the concert  in 2018.

Glastonbury Festival 2023 - Day 5

If you’ve been lucky enough to secure Glastonbury tickets for 2024, you don’t want to fall at the last hurdle.

The hard part is over, but now the date to pay in full is now approaching.

With stars such as Dua Lipa, SZA, and Coldplay on the line up , you’d be wise to put the date in your calendar.

That means if you secured your ticket for £75 in November, the full cost of your ticket will soon be due now that April has come around.

Read on for our top tips for the festival and when to pay for your ticket.

When is the Glastonbury ticket payment deadline?

After the original sale was postponed, coach tickets including National Express travel to Worthy Farm went on sale on November 16 at 6pm GMT. A general sale then took place on Sunday, November 19, at 9am GMT.

The next date to be aware of is April 7, when the full amount for the rest of your ticket payment is due. A standard ticket costs £355 plus £5 booking fee, but this may be more depending on whether you booked a coach ticket or other add-ons.

When will Glastonbury 2024 take place?

The date of next year’s Glastonbury Festival is June 26-30, 2024.

How much do Glastonbury 2024 tickets cost?

Ticket prices for Glastonbury 2024 cost £355 + £5 booking fee.

You could have paid a £75 deposit for your ticket and then pay it off in instalments up to the first week of April 2024, when the balance must be paid in full by April 7. Tickets were only be sold via See Tickets here .

There’s also the option to buy a coach ticket with your ticket during the coach sale, which typically costs between £40 and £150 depending on your departure point.

How many people go to Glastonbury?

Approximately 210,000 fans attended the event this year, breaking the official attendance record of 2002, when 153,000 tickets were sold.

The largest number of visitors is thought to have been in 1994, when around 300,000 people turned up, many of whom were gatecrashers.

Glastonbury Festival is held on Worthy Farm, a 900-acre site in the Vale of Avalon. That is the equivalent of more than 500 full-size football pitches.

Somerset Live reported that the festival site is more than 1.5 miles in length at its widest point and is surrounded by the “superfence” — an eight-kilometre-long perimeter fence. The fence, standing at more than four metres high, has unique features including an attached external roadway to prevent tunnelling, 45-degree overhangs to prevent climbing, and zero nuts and bolts to stop the fence from being tampered with.
