BTS to Release Intimate, Behind-the-Scenes Docuseries 'BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star' on Disney+

The K-pop band's new eight-episode docuseries will premiere on streaming on Dec. 20

bts the journey documentary

BTS may be on hiatus right now, but they’re keeping the ARMY well-fed.

The K-pop superstars announced on Monday that they’re set to release a special docuseries on Disney+ titled BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star , and it’s coming very soon.

The eight-part series will premiere on streaming on Dec. 20, with two episodes rolling out every Wednesday.

BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star comes as the “Butter” group celebrates 10 years together as a band. According to a press release, the project features all-new interviews with j-hope , SUGA , V , Jimin , Jin , Jungkook and RM and dives into their ascension towards being an international sensation over the past decade, while exploring the challenges they’ve faced along the way.

Frazer Harrison/Getty

The hitmakers shared the news of the project by releasing a brief teaser that features all seven members. Although the clip comes in at just 16 seconds, each singer/dancer chimes in about how overcome with emotion they’ve been at times throughout their whirlwind career.

“I felt each and every emotion,” J-Hope, 29, says in the clip, while V, 27, admits to a time he couldn’t stop laughing and Jimin, 28, refers to a moment he started crying. “We did it,” RM, 29, says as the sweet teaser concludes.

In the caption for the teaser, the official synopsis reads: “BTS marks its 10th anniversary as a 21st-century pop icons. Join their journey to the top and beyond.”

The Grammy-nominated group also shared the poster for the project featuring a glowing, white light peeking through their logo to allude to the “raising anticipation around the newly unfolding story of the band,” as described in a press release.

The K-pop idols first launched their career in 2013 with their debut album 2 Cool 4 Skool , and since then they’ve dropped nine studio albums, had six No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 , launched their own successful solo careers and ultimately helped to lead the wave of K-pop becoming a global phenomenon.

BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star also hits streaming as the “Dynamite” band is on pause while several members complete their mandatory military service in South Korea. Jin, 30, enlisted in late 2022 , followed by J-Hope in April of this year and Suga, 30, in September , making their eventual reunion scheduled for 2025.

The Disney+ documentary isn’t the only project members of their devoted ARMY fanbase are able to tune into in the meantime.

On Nov. 19, the seven-piece group released the concert film BTS: Yet to Come on Amazon Prime Video. The film captures the stars performing 19 of their biggest hits, including songs like “RUN,” “Mic Drop” and “Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment),” before an audience of 50,000 at their October 2022 show at Asiad Main Stadium in Busan, South Korea.

Within the past year, Jimin, SUGA, Jungkook, 26, and V have also delighted fans by continuing to release new music, with each releasing their debut solo efforts .

The past decade has been one incredible journey for BTS. The septet have sought out to do and achieve so much since day one, and lucky for ARMY , their 10+ year career is well documented. Whether you’re new in Boraland and curious to learn more or just looking for some nostalgic memories to relive, we’ve listed all the BTS documentaries and how you can watch every single one.

Burn The Stage: The Movie

Released in 2018, Burn The Stage: The Movie is the first movie from BTS, following the band behind the scenes of the BTS WINGS Tour as it uncovers the story of their rising success and international fame. Go back in time to 2017 to see the fresh-faced Bangtan Boys at the start of their world domination, blissfully unaware of what the future will hold for them. The nostalgia is real, and if you’re going to binge the documentaries, where better to begin than at the beginning?

Where to watch: Available on YouTube Premium

Bring The Soul: The Movie

Bring The Soul: The Movie takes place on a rooftop in Paris at the end of the Love Yourself World Tour in 2018 where the BTS members share a conversation, sharing stories of their experiences in new cities and performing to ARMY around the world. And, of course, what would a BTS documentary be without star-studded live performance clips from the tour?

Where to watch: Bring The Soul: The Movie is currently available on Netflix in some countries but not globally . Alternatively, it’s available on Weverse as a VOD

Bring The Soul: Docu-Series

The third in BTS documentaries is Bring The Soul: Docu-Series , which sees an up close and personal look at each of the members as they share their individual untold stories for the first time on camera for ARMY in a six-part series. The members get very candid as they share a more personal side, unveiling their fears, hopes, dreams, and concerns. We loved getting to know the members on a more in-depth level and learning about them as individuals.

Where to watch: Available on Weverse as a VOD

Break The Silence: The Docu-Series

2020 was a tough year, but BTS kept us occupied with tons of content, including another installment to the BTS documentaries. Break The Silence : The Docu-Series is a seven-episode series that follows the 351-day journey from the LOVE YOURSELF Tour to the LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF Tour . We get a close look at the memorable moments between BTS and ARMY as the members embark on their first stadium world tour. We also get more candid tales from the members, discussing their tight-knit relationships and what keeps their strong bond with each other both professionally and personally.

Break The Silence: The Movie PERSONA

Shortly after the docu-series, Break The Silence: The Movie PERSONA was released in cinemas. As the LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF tour comes to an end, Break The Silence: The Movie PERSONA reminisces on memories of the tour with stops in major cities all across the globe. We also get to see how each member separates themselves personally from their stage personas, giving us a look at the more vulnerable and emotional side of each of them.

j-hope IN THE BOX

As the first member to officially go solo amidst the BTS hiatus until 2025, j-hope was naturally the first member to drop his own solo documentary. j-hope IN THE BOX gives us a behind-the-scenes look leading up to his debut solo album, Jack In The Box that dropped in 2022, while also giving us a backstage pass to the production of his incredible headline performance at Lollapalooza .

Where to watch: Available on Disney+

SUGA: Road to D-DAY

Hot on the heels of his debut studio album, D-DAY , SUGA released his documentary, SUGA: Road to D-DAY . The documentary follows SUGA as he searches the world for inspiration for his upcoming record. We get to see a more intimate side of the rapper and producer as well as a closer look at how he works behind the studio door. We’re also treated to special live performances from tracks off of D-DAY .

Jimin’s Production Diary

Jimin’s Production Diary is a raw documentation of the production of Jimin ‘s debut solo album, FACE , which dropped in Spring 2023. The documentary covers the entire process from the early beginnings, Jimin’s continuous grind and need for perfection, right up to the album’s release and final thoughts. We get to see what Jimin is like on the production side of album making and what inspired different elements of the album.

In the program introduction video, the members shared their thoughts, with J-Hope saying, “I felt every single emotion…”, Suga saying, “I started making music again,” V and Jimin saying, “I laughed and cried,” Jin said, “That’s exactly what I thought,” Jung Kook saying, “This is it.” Then RM saying, “We did it.”

The teaser poster also encapsulates the concept of this documentary. Big Hit Music introduced it, saying, “The light seeping through the gaps in the dark space reminds us of BTS’s official logo and heightens the curiosity about their stories that will unfold beyond that.”

All of BTS’ web series, movies, and documentaries, listed

There's no shortage of content to get ARMY through these tough times.

BTS - Getty

Over the years, BTS has put out a whole lot of content; way more than your typical artists. Because the group debuted with BigHit Music, which at the time was a very small company near bankruptcy, promoting BTS wasn’t easy. The band’s appearances on South Korean variety or music shows were few, with the members sometimes filling in for other acts. To compensate, the BTS members started creating and releasing their own content, giving audiences an inside look into their work, lives, personalities, and group dynamics.

As BTS grew in popularity, the members started making more TV show appearances, but that didn’t solve all their problems. RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and JungKook have claimed time and again how they haven’t always felt respected or comfortable in those appearances, enjoying the familiar process of creating their own web series.

A lot of BTS’ video content is released for free on the band’s YouTube channel, BANGTANTV , where fans can find vlogs, behind-the-scenes clips of music videos, performances, award shows, and other events. Nevertheless, the group has released a huge number of docu-series, docu-movies, concert films, and other web series on different platforms and in theaters, all of which new fans can find listed right here.

Rookie King: Channel BTS

This variety show consisted of eight episodes aired between September and October of 2013. In it, the recently debuted BTS members joked around while parodying numerous TV shows and commercials, while showcasing a bit of themselves along the way. Fans can glimpse BTS’ old dorm, their daily activities, and get to know the members’ individual talents.

BTS American Hustle Life

In their humble beginnings, BTS spent some time in America, practicing their singing, dancing, and rapping skills with the help of American performers. While this was a good way to broaden the members’ horizons, being in a foreign country with a huge language barrier can be scary, especially when not all the experiences are positive.

This reality show aired eight episodes from July to September 2014, on the South Korean TV show Mnet, and can now be found online.

In Run BTS! , anything goes. This web series doesn’t have a strict concept, as the only thing that matters is that the BTS members have fun, which in turn entertains their viewers immensely. From trying aerial yoga, escape rooms, fighting zombies, and playing sports, to simply gaming, anything can be fun if you do it with a chaotic group of people, which is what BTS brings to the table.

This is without a doubt ARMY’s favorite series, and it currently has over 150 episodes. While the show used to be available on VLive, it now has been moved to BTS’ YouTube channel , where it can be watched for free.

BTS GAYO is a variety series that aired from August 2015 to May 2017. In it, the BTS members did numerous activities or challenges, all related to the K-pop world. Some of these included recreating famous K-drama scenes, doing karaoke, doing K-pop quizzes, or dancing to girl group songs. As one can imagine, in a group of seven where competition runs high, it was a very entertaining show to watch, with appropriate punishments being dealt to the episode loser — and there usually was one.

The series has two seasons and a total of 15 episodes, which were all released on VLive, free of charge.

Bon Voyage is a reality series with four seasons, in which BTS travels the globe spending time together out of work and doing vacation activities. This is definitely toward the top of ARMY’s favorite web series, as they not only get to see the artists have fun, but also enjoy gorgeous sceneries.

In the first season, which premiered in 2016, viewers accompany BTS as the group travels through Norway, Sweden, and Finland. In seasons two, three, and four, the chosen destinations were Hawaii, Malta, and New Zealand, respectively.

Burn the Stage

Burn the Stage is a YouTube Red original series and marks BTS’ very first documentary content. The series follows the band during its Wings Tour, as the members travel the world for the better part of a year, performing songs from the Wings album. With Burn the Stage , fans got a candid look at what goes on behind the scenes of the performances they see on stage, and how stressful, difficult, yet exciting it all can be.

The series is a mix of concert footage and interviews, giving insights into the members’ thoughts during their biggest tour at the time. The series was released in 2018, and later adapted and released in movie format, titled Burn the Stage: The Movie .

Love Yourself in Seoul

No matter how much BTS travels and attempts to bring their performances to fans from all corners of the world, it’s simply impossible. With a concert film, however, fans can experience the magic of their performance close-up, which is exactly the goal of Love Yourself in Seoul . In January 2019, for a one-day event, ARMY from 102 countries gathered in theaters near them to see this movie. It was a memorable experience for everyone who got to attend, and due to high demand, the film made a theatrical comeback in February of the same year.

Bring the Soul

Contrary to Burn the Stage , Bring the Soul was first released as a documentary movie in August 2019. In it, the BTS members tell stories from the European leg of their Love Yourself Tour from the comfort of a Parisian rooftop. The footage, of course, is paired with recordings of BTS’ performances, as well as backstage clips from the tour. Later that month, an eight-episode docu-series of the same name was released, and it’s currently still available for streaming on Weverse.

Break the Silence

This docu-series is a sequel to Bring the Soul as it depicts the Asian leg of BTS’ Love Yourself World Tour. The series was composed of seven episodes, released in May 2020, and available for purchase on the Weverse Shop. In September of the same year, the series was adapted into a two-hour movie format, which was released in theaters with the title Break the Silence: The Movie – Persona .

In the Soop

With the spread of COVID-19, BTS had to abandon Bon Voyage ’s international travels, and thus, In the Soop was born. The show premiered in 2020, featuring the group on a short vacation in South Korea, taking the time to lay low surrounded by nature. In 2021, the series came back with a second season, and in 2022 with a third. However, the latter featured only one BTS member, V, with his other close celebrity friends.

In South Korea, the TV show aired on JTBC, while international fans were able to enjoy it via Weverse. Currently, In the Soop is still available for streaming on the platform.

Bang Bang Con: The Live

Due to the pandemic, BTS’ Map of the Soul Tour was canceled, so the members had to get creative. On June 14, 2020, the band threw its first-ever online concert, performing songs from a variety of their albums, both new and old, and interacting with fans via a live chat.

Roughly a month later, the event was made available for streaming, on BTS’ Weverse platform, as a concert film.

Permission to Dance on Stage – Seoul: Live Performance

With this special event, in March 2022, ARMY from around the world got to experience a BTS concert live from the comfort of a theater room. While the performance was held in Seoul in front of a crowd, it was also live-streamed in select theaters around the world for those who could not make it to the in-person event. Later, the footage was re-broadcast in the same theaters.

BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage – LA

Yet another concert film from the band. Permission to Dance on Stage – LA showcases the BTS members giving a Los Angeles crowd the experience of a lifetime, performing recent hits like “Butter,” “On,” and “Permission to Dance” live on the SoFi Stadium. The footage was filmed across four concerts in 2021 and on Sept. 8, 2022, the film was released on streaming via Disney Plus.

BTS: Yet to Come in Cinemas

This is an upcoming concert film, made up of footage from BTS’ Yet to Come concert in Busan, South Korea. This was the band’s first free concert since their early days, and it served as BTS’ last group performance for the foreseeable future, as they now venture onto solo projects and comply with South Korea’s mandatory military duty .

The movie will debut in select theaters all over the world, for a limited time, starting Feb. 1.

J-hope in the Box

J-hope will be the first of the BTS members to get a solo documentary, titled J-hope in the Box . It makes sense, considering he was also the first to debut solo after the band announced a break from group activities.

With this documentary, viewers will get a look at the musical process behind the creation of Jack in the Box , j-hope’s first solo studio album, and a behind-the-scenes peek at the rapper’s debut performance at Lollapalooza. The documentary has a release date scheduled for Feb. 17 and will be available for streaming on Disney Plus.

BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star

BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star is an upcoming documentary series that HYBE will release in collaboration with Disney Plus. The series will contain footage from the band’s 10-year journey to global success as a group and as solo artists. Much like BTS’ previous documentaries, it’s expected that Beyond the Star will give fans a look behind the curtain at the member’s concerts, a glimpse into their thoughts, and never told before stories about their trials and tribulations. The docu-series will be available for streaming on Disney Plus.

While BTS has its group activities on hold, new fans have plenty to catch up on until they are back in action. As for older ARMY, well, surely a rewatch or two won’t hurt.

FTX, Pamela Anderson and BTS: the biggest documentaries of 2023

This year promises a revealing look at celebrities, scams and art on the big and small screen

A s in years past, the calendar ahead for 2023 documentary remains patchwork at the moment. But it’s already sketched in with celebrity projects (on Michael J Fox, Little Richard, Pamela Anderson and others), overdue re-examinations (on artist Nam June Paik and sex researcher Shere Hite) and rushed-to-completion projects on headlining scams (multiple films on the collapse of crypto exchange FTX.)

Will 2023 finally be the year of the long-gestating Rihanna documentary? With more sure to be announced in the coming months – not to mention many docuseries in the works – here are 10 of the most anticipated documentary films of 2023:

Little Richard: I Am Everything

Little Richard

After years of acclaimed, revelatory films on the Black pioneers of American music (What Happened, Miss Simone?, Quincy and last year’s Oscar winner Summer of Soul) R&B forefather Little Richard gets the documentary treatment in 2023. Born Richard Wayne Penniman in 1932, Little Richard’s distinctive style – frenetic piano-playing, raspy shouted vocals, heavy back beat – influenced commercial white musicians from Elvis Presley to Jerry Lee Lewis to the Beatles, who opened for him on some tour dates. Premiering at Sundance, Little Richard: I Am Everything promises to bring together his loved ones, peers, historians and chart-topping musicians to give the “architect of Rock and Roll” the “royal treatment he deserves”, said director Lisa Cortés, as well as explore the Black queer origins of American pop.

SBF and the End of Silicon Valley

Sam Bankman-Fried, AKA SBF.

The rise and fall of the crypto exchange FTX – allegedly a fraud to the tune of billions of dollars – was a foregone documentary premise the minute founder Sam Bankman-Fried’s net worth hit essentially zero. Bankman-Fried, colloquially known as SBF, will be the subject (and poster child) of a “new Dark Age” in a film collaboration between journalism outlets Vice Media and the Information, founded by business journalist Jessica Lessin in 2013. SBF and The End of Silicon Valley, due in Q2 of 2023, pledges to critique FTX’s inexperienced leadership, the role of VCs and SBF’s obsession with “effective altruism”, the film-makers told The Hollywood Reporter . “There are so many people involved in this story who should have known better, and did know better,” said Lessin. “This story marks the end of an era in Silicon Valley. A new Dark Age is coming.”

The other SBF/FTX documentary

Because there can never be just one and American audiences love a scam story , the spectacular collapse of FTX is getting the Fyre festival treatment – as in, two competing documentaries about the same subject, each touting expertise and access. In the case of the as-yet-untitled film from non-fiction studio XTR, director David Darg (Body Team 12, You Cannot Kill David Arquette) boasts “unprecedented access to key players at FTX and the cryptocurrency community” in SBF’s home base of the Bahamas. (How many three-letter acronyms can we get in one story?) The film, from the team behind They Call Me Magic, Meet Me in the Bathroom and 76 Days, will “explore the corporate drama that upended markets, sparked government investigations and sent shock waves through an industry still battling to gain mainstream credibility”, the film-makers told Variety . Let the doc wars begin.

Pamela, A Love Story

Pamela Anderson

After a year of press largely not on her own terms thanks to the Hulu series Pam & Tommy , Pamela Anderson will tell her story in her own words in a Netflix documentary. The film, from Good Night Oppy director Ryan White, was already in process before Anderson found out about Hulu’s show on the theft of intimate video filmed with her then-husband, Tommy Lee, and sold without her permission to the tune of $75m. White has billed the film as less-than-stage-managed compared to the standard celebrity doc. “I feel like a lot of them are about brand management or selling a product, whatever that may be. And Pamela’s the opposite of that,” he told Vanity Fair this month. “From the very beginning, she was like, ‘You can ask me anything. I will talk about anything. I will be nothing but honest with you about it all.” The “all” reportedly includes the stolen tape, Anderson’s life as a Playboy model and actor, her marriages and motherhood, and the rigorous training for her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago this past spring.

A still from Bad Press by Rebecca Landsberry-Baker and Joe Peeler, an official selection of the U.S. Documentary Competition at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival.

A potential Sundance standout, Bad Press focuses on Angel Ellis, a reporter for Mvskoke Media in Omulgee, Oklahoma, fighting for transparency and access to information for the Muscogee (Creek Nation). Directors Rebecca Landsberry-Baker and Joe Peeler follow Ellis and her colleagues after an emergency session of the National Council repeals the 2015 Free Press Act, dissolves Mvskoke Media’s independent editorial board and places the newspaper under the direction of the secretary of the nation and commerce. Sundance has praised the film as a “nuanced, empowering tale of a modern Native community”.

Still-untitled Rihanna documentary

Rihanna

For the fourth year in a row, my most anticipated documentary of the upcoming year is the still-untitled, still-delayed Rihanna film. Directed by the Battleship film-maker Peter Berg, the endlessly anticipated documentary was initially sold to Amazon in 2019 for a staggering (to non-billionaires) $25m, with an initial planned release date of 2020. The pandemic bumped that to summer 2021, then again to … still unclear. Berg has reportedly recorded 1,200 hours of footage with the Barbadian superstar, and that was before her fashion-defining pregnancy and birth of her first child (with boyfriend A$AP Rocky) this past May. It is genuinely a tossup at this point whether we will get the film or new music first, but the fact that she is performing the half-time show in February offers a glimmer of hope (from a promotional point of view) that this six-plus-year project will ever see the light of day. Also hopeful: Berg said this week that the film is “done and sold” and just waiting for her approval, though he added: “Maybe it’ll be a 10-year project.”

The Disappearance of Shere Hite

Shere Hite

In 1976, sex researcher Shere Hite dropped a bombshell study: according to interviews with more than 3,500 women, about 70% didn’t orgasm from sex with male partners, but could come easily by themselves. Hite’s findings are generally accepted now but caused a firestorm at the time; her book, The Hite Report on Female Sexuality, sold over 50m copies, exposed a long road ahead for the sexual revolution, and drew ire from both Playboy and the religious right. Her methodology and accuracy were so derided that she eventually relocated to Britain, where she died in 2020 at age 77. The Disappearance of Shere Hite, from NBC News and the Crip Camp director Nicole Newnham, draws from mostly unaired news interview footage with Hite and responses to her questionnaires to illuminate the researcher’s life and findings. The film “not only brought [Hite] back to life and brought that really relevant information back into public discourse, but also kind of gives you the opportunity to see, how does a woman get silenced? How does that happen?” Newnham has said .

Nam June Paik: Moon is the Oldest TV

Man June Paik

First-time feature director Amanda Kim explores the life of one of the most influential artists of the 20th century: Nam June Paik, the father of video art and the originator of the term “electronic super highway” to describe the future of telecommunications. Born in Japan-occupied Korea in 1932, Paik studied classical music in Hong Kong and Japan before settling in Germany in the 1950s, where he became a leader of the neo-dada movement known as Fluxus. Kim’s film, in which actor Steven Yeun reads Paik’s own words, purports to demonstrate the futurist artist’s playfulness and creativity, a portrait of a creator who was, according to the logline, “perhaps the most modern artist of all time”.

BTS for Disney+

BTS

As part of Disney’s reach into the ever-expanding hallyu , or Korean wave, the American entertainment giant recently announced not one but two projects with the biggest band in the world, K-pop’s BTS, for its streaming service in 2023. The first, a series called BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star, expands on four concert films to offer reportedly “unparalleled” access into the lives and daily lives of the band’s seven members within stratospheric fame. The second, a standalone film on member J-Hope, will focus on the run-up to the dance captain’s solo debut Jack in the Box in July 2022. The film, which has no announced release date, will work in footage from J-Hope’s headline slot at Lollapalooza 2022 in Chicago, where he became the first South Korean artist to headline a major American music festival.

Still: A Michael J Fox Movie

Michael J Fox

One of a few Sundance titles focused on the lives of longtime celebrities, including Brooke Shields, Judy Blume and Willie Nelson, Still: A Michael J Fox Movie, traces a scrappy Canadian kid’s rise to 80s Hollywood star and diagnosis with Parkinson’s at 29. The film, directed by David Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth, Waiting for Superman, He Named Me Malala), will reportedly incorporate documentary, scripted and archival elements as well as access to Fox and his family, on his long journey as one of the most famous faces of the degenerative disease. Apple Original Films has already bought the rights to the project, which will probably stream later in the year.

BTS: J-Hope Reveals Hope On The Street Documentary Release Date & Poster

By Arpita Adhya

Before J-Hope, BTS’ concert movie Yet To Come got a Prime Video release in 2023. The concert movie was a sentimental moment for BTS ARMY as it was the last concert of BTS together as a group in Busan’s Asiad Main Stadium in October 2022.

The concert movie also allowed fans to relive BTS’s fiery stage performances, which featured several hit tracks. From early hits of their career like “Dope” and “Fire” to Billboard Hot 100-topping songs “Dynamite” and “Butter,” BTS once again showed their charismatic energy on stage through the concert movie.

BTS Jimin’s Visit With Suga On His Solo Tour Brought Back One “Wings” Tour Memory

bts the journey documentary

In 2023, BTS ‘s Suga embarked on a 28-show solo world tour, SUGA |   Agust D D – DAY, visiting 10 cities throughout the United States and Asia.

The creation of Suga’s solo album D-DAY, part of his Agust D trilogy ,  was captured through his Disney+ documentary, Suga: Road to D-Day,  and behind-the-scenes moments from the tour were heavily documented as well.

Recently, more behind-the-scenes footage was released in a new BTS Episode , showing more of Suga’s journey through the U.S. on his tour.

The new BTS Episode captured Jimin ‘s backstage visit with Suga when the younger BTS member attended Suga’s Newark, New Jersey, show at Prudential Center

As he went to meet Suga, the two were quickly reminded of their 2017 Wings world tour and the unforgettable backstage moment that happened when they were at Prudential Center six years prior.

Suga reminded Jimin that one of the last times they were at the venue, fellow members Jin and V had a heated argument after disagreeing about their positioning and timing during one song’s choreography.

Emotions ran high just moments before the group was set to take the stage, leading RM to attempt to diffuse the situation by assuring they would discuss it after the concert. The argument is well-known among fans as it was captured in BTS’s documentary, Burn The Stage .

After Suga pointed out their location, Jimin revealed he remembered the argument and recalled Jin and V “ shouting at ” each other and arguing up until the five minutes before they were due on stage.

Suga and Jimin’s most recent visit to the venue was less chaotic, as the two focused on supporting each other backstage, with Suga again playfully trying to convince Jimin to join him on stage.

BTS' J-Hope Documentary ‘Hope on the Street' to Release on Amazon Prime Video

Hope on the Street , a docuseries featuring J-Hope of K-pop supergroup BTS, has landed exclusively at Prime Video. Produced by BTS' label HYBE, the six-part series will premiere on the Amazon service worldwide March 28, with new episodes released every Thursday and Friday.

Prime Video describes Hope on the Street as profiling J-Hope's origin story and love for dancing as he begins a new journey in the 12th year of his professional career. The series chronicles his return to his roots as a dancer and has elements of a travel show. Accompanied by his former dance instructor, the popping champion Boogaloo Kin, J-Hope explores the streets of Osaka, Seoul, Paris, New York and Gwangju, meeting inspiring street dancers along the way.

The documentary will also feature songs from J-Hope's wildly anticipated solo album,  Hope on the Street Vol.1 , which is set for release March 29. The release is described by J-Hope's label as a six-track "special album." The new project follows his 2022 solo album,  Jack in the Box , which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Hope on the Street Vol.1 will be released digitally March 29 at 1 p.m., Korea time - and presales begin today, Feb. 19.

The new series is a treat for fans amid J-Hope's ongoing hiatus from performing. The star is currently completing his mandatory 18-month military service in Korea, which began in April 2023. After completing his basic training in May 2023, J-Hope was appointed as an assistant training instructor with Korea's 36th Infantry Division in Wonju.
