Image of Vignesh Rao

This Fallout 4 DLC guide will show all 35 Star Core Locations in the game and how to get the Quantum T-51 Power Armor. How to complete the Star Control side quest in just 10 minutes.

In Fallout 4 DLC Nuka-World, the player will get a side quest ‘Star Control’ where he needs to find Star Cores, in order to get access to the Special Circuit Board and a Nuka-world Power Armor. This Fallout 4 DLC will show all 35 Star Core Locations in the game and how to get the Quantum T-51 Power Armor.

All 35 Star Core Locations

Once you enter the Galactic Zone, your “Star Control” quest starts. Here you will have to find 20 Star cores in the battle remainings. After finding them, you have to install them in the empty red panels in the mainframe terminals to complete the quest. 20 Star cores will be enough for the quest but if you want to unlock the display case of Nuka-world power Armor, you will need all 35 Star cores. So without any further ado, let’s begin with the Star Cores hunt.

Galactic Zone Cores:

Star core 1 – Star walk

Find the metal cage at the star walk bottom, which is located left to the RobCo Battlezone.

Star core 2 – Starport Nuka

It can be located on the second floor, inside the locked glass display case.

Star core 3 – Starport Nuka

In the 1st floor, you will find a glass door, open the door to access the terminal. You will find a dead body on the floor, search it to find the star core.

Fallout 4 Nuka-World DLC Guide: Where to Find Every Star Core

Finding Star Cores in Fallout 4's Nuka-World DLC is a difficult task. Check out this guide to find all 35 Star Cores to pass the 'Star Control' quest.

Finding Star Cores in Fallout 4 's Nuka-World DLC is a difficult task. Check out this guide to find all 35 Star Cores to pass the 'Star Control' quest.

Fallout 4 quests often have waypoints guiding the player step-by-step, but that isn't the case with one major Fallout 4 Nuka-World DLC quest. The quest 'Star Control' requires players to locate a minimum of 20 Star Cores to power down the guard bots roaming the park, but the game leaves it up to the player to track them down in the sprawling post-apocalyptic theme park. Hunting down 20 can be an arduous task, but the elusive 35 that yield a new power armor suit is even more difficult, so here's a helpful guide to make it easier.

There are numerous Star Cores to be found in just about every area of Nuka-World , with the vast majority of them appearing in Nuka-World's major dungeons. If the player hasn't yet cleared the dungeons of enemies, they should make sure to suit up and be ready for a lot of fights. In some instances, a character can use stealth to collect the Star Cores without getting into a fight, but not all fights can be avoided.

Before delving into the individual dungeons, five Star Cores can be found in the main Nuka-World map:

  • In Nuka-Town USA at the Nuka-Town Market, look for a table on the north side of the map with a Star Core on top.
  • Also in Nuka-Town USA, go to the Nuka-Cade and head into the employee area for another core.
  • In the southwest corner of the map, northeast of the Nuka-World junkyard, there's a barn with another core.
  • In Dry Rock Gulch, south of Doc Phosphate's Saloon, there will be a core near a body.
  • In the World of Refreshment, enter the Nuka-Cola Bottling Plant, find the Nuka-Cola Quantum area, then turn right to locate a body. The core will be nearby the body.

Starlight Interstellar Theater

  • Immediately after entering, head left and enter the men's bathroom. Look intside a crack in the wall for a body with a Star Core.
  • Head back to the entrance and go right this time, go through the kitchen and the back door to find another core.
  • Go inside the theater itself, and look for the console across from the screen. Another core can be found there.
  • Head upstairs and enter the control room for the final Star Core in this dungeon.

Vault-Tec: Among the Stars

  • Enter the elevator at the entrance and head downstairs to the Vault-Tec exhibit. Head away from the exhibit and find an area guarded by Protectrons. A locked door can be found in this hall; behind it is a Star Core.
  • Head back to the exhibit path and stay on it until you find the living room. Go to the locked door, unlock it, and retrieve your Star Core prize.
  • Return to the living room and pick one of the other two unlocked exits. Follow the corridor until you reach a radioactive room. If your character's radiation resistance isn't high enough, deploy some Rad-X or radiation protective gear, enter, and grab the Star Core.
  • Go back to the living room once more and enter the nursery. Lockpick the sliding door to enter the main office, defeat the Novatron, then head to the observation center for a whopping three Star Cores.

Nuka-Galaxy

  • Before heading inside Nuka-Galaxy, look for a Star Core leading near the Arcjet G-Force ride entrance.
  • Just outside the entrance, look for the small shed next to the ramp leading into Nuka-Galaxy for another Star Core.
  • Head to the boarding area of the ride, then look down the track. You'll see a door on the right side that has a Star Core behind it.
  • Continue on through the next door and follow the behind-the-scenes view of the ride until you reach a room filled with planets. Cross the ledge, and follow the stairs down, then go through the room until you enter a corridor. A Star Core can be found near the console here.
  • Keep going through the corridor and use the elevator on the left-hand side. Exit the elevator, hang a left, and find the opening leading to the next room. Another Star Core can be found by the console here.
  • Now head right along the rocky set and find a hidden door. Go through it, then head upstairs, and step onto the tracks. Take a left to go up another flight of stairs and find a Star Core with yet another console.
  • Go to the very end of the ride to pick up a Star Core and a key.
  • Use the aforementioned key to open a side path heading back to the start of the ride, and you'll find another set of stairs that leads to an office containing a Star Core.
  • Enter the control booth next to the office for the final Nuka-Galaxy Star Core.

RobCo Battlezone

The RobCo Battlezone is one of the hardest locations to collect Star Cores from, as it requires the player to face off against bot enemies whether or not stealth is employed.

  • Immediately after the entrance, go to the seating area and turn left. Find the locked door along the wall, unlock it, and collect two Star Cores inside the room.
  • Enter the souvenir shop to find a Star Core conveniently located on some shelving.
  • Enter the tunnels beneath the arena. There will be a Star Core on the console, but be wary of the Sentry Bot guarding it.
  • Lastly, walk into the arena to collect the final two Star Cores in this dungeon. Be careful leaving, though, as the player character will be forced to face off against three waves of robots when they attempt to leave.

Starport Nuka

Starport Nuka isn't one of the Galactic Zone's main dungeons, but it does contain five more Star Cores. However, the final Star Core listed can only be picked up after restoring power to the park, so it's advisable to go after these last.

  • Walk towards Starport Nuka's mainframe until you find a body. A Star Core is found near here.
  • Head into Starport Nuka and go upstairs to find a Star Core in a locked display case.
  • Go to the Starport Nuka base, pass the gate, and look for another body near the sheds there for another Star Core.
  • Pick up an extra Star Core as you head down the ramp from Starport Nuka. It'll be at the end of the ramp on the right side.
  • The last Star Core is on the top floor of Starport Nuka, but this area is only accessible after completing the quest 'Power Play'.

Finding every Star Core in Nuka-World can be an irritatingly difficult task, but it's a necessity to pass the 'Star Control' quest. However, once it's out of the way, exploring Nuka-World will be much easier and the player can enjoy a sweet new set of Quantum X-01 Mk.V power armor. Then players can carry on in their new power armor and let off some pent-up stress by raiding the settlements they themselves may have once created.

Fallout 4: The Grand Tour: Major Attractions

Quest - capturing park areas for raider factions.

Fallout 4 Nuka World Map Picture

While some of this is elaborated upon in my Nuka World endings guide , some players won't want spoilers that deep. Thus I'll summarize some of the things you should know about The Grand Tour and its importance. I've linked walkthroughs to some of the individual areas here, though there are more to be done.

Starting the Quest

The Grand Tour is started after An Ambitious Plan , in which you meet all three of the raider faction leaders. With the tour, you are formally Overboss and get to do what Overboss Colter didn't do because he was too busy tinkering his fatally-flawed Power Armor: take back the Nuka World park.

There are five areas to give out, but three gangs. The land cannot be divided equally, and raiders are a selfish lot. Some players will want to know that their actions during this incredibly long quest do matter. See the page about new SPECIAL and faction-specific perks in Nuka World . You can skip the spoilers section if you like (it is easy to skim past). Just look at the three perks that can be awarded to you and select two you'd like to favor. That is, perhaps, the part that has the largest impact on gameplay.

Five Park Areas to Claim

While it does not matter exactly the order you take over the park areas, some are harder than others due to their enemy composition and other hazards. Knowing ahead of time may help you to select weapons and gear appropriate for that part of the park. I recommend you start with Kiddie Kingdom, but that entirely up to you. These are listed in the order I'd recommend with the benefit of hindsight.

How to Claim for Raiders Finish the quest for the area, and a marker will appear that leads to the flagpole. You can select to give the area to the Disciples, Operators, or The Pack.

Kiddie Kingdom in Fallout 4

Associated Quest : A Magical Kingdom Quest Goals : Investigate 3 areas of the zone and deal with the mysterious figure on the intercom. Hazards and Enemies : Ghouls, many of them in leveled varieties. Radiation exposure is heavy here, due to mist spraying poles adapted to distribute toxic vapor. One area (fun house) is quite weird but holds a few secrets. I found this to be the most annoying area, though that's subjective. I like that I got it out of the way.

Dry Rock Gulch

Dry Rock Gulch in Fallout 4 Nuka World

Associated Quest : High Noon at the Gulch Quest Goals : Investigate Dry Rock Gulch and win contests, then exterminate the source of Bloodworms Hazards and Enemies : This place has many bloodworms of differing difficulty. Assembling a code for a safe by finishing a variety of tasks is required to finish the quest. Players should be aware that bringing the Silver Shroud costume (hopefully the good one) in this area results in a different experience.

Safari Adventure

Safari Adventure area in Fallout 4 Nuka World to claim for the raider gangs

Associated Quest : Safari Adventure Quest Goals : Find the source of the Gatorclaw infestation Hazards and Enemies : Nearly two dozen Gatorclaws are strewn throughout the area, sometimes in groups of 3. They're quite powerful but there is plenty of room to maneuver in this area as opposed to the bottling plan. I'd have preferred to have done it second had I known at the time. Melee players will want to pass the speech check with Cito in order to get an unique baseball bat that refills AP on a critical hit. Quite powerful.

Galactic Zone

galactic zone in Fallout 4 Nuka World

Associated Quest : Star Control Quest Goals : Locate Star Control, clear the Galactic Zone of enemies and find star cores. Hazards and Enemies : Many robots of many varieties, including Startenders, simple Protectrons. You've got to clear a lot of area and search for a number of star cores that may not all be easy to find. Players with Robotics Expert will find this area easy.

Nuka Cola Bottling Plant

The Nuka Cola Bottling Plant in Fallout 4

Associated Quest : A World of Refreshment Quest Goals : Clear the inside and outside of the facility. Includes both the bottling plant and nuka cola tour 'a world of refreshment'. Hazards and Enemies : Nukalurks, OP Mirelurks in various varieties - you'll face everything from the simple hatchlings (meaning you can collect eggs), regular Nukalurks, Kings, and Hunters. A battle with a Nukalurk Queen awaits you, and she's quite challenging. I did this quest second but it would probably be appropriate to do last or next to last. You can find T-51f Power Armor in a Nuka cola design here.

Fallout 4: Nuka World - Star Core locations for the Star Control quest

Fallout 4: Nuka World is driving us rabid with this Star Cores fetch quest. Let our guide save you the angst.

fallout 4 dlc nuka world

Fallout 4 : Nuka World includes a quest called Star Control in which players must track down 20 Star Cores in order to repair a mainframe. Optionally, they can collect a full set of 35 to unlock a new set of power armour.

This mission is a necessary step in the main quest The Grand Tour, and takes place in the Galactic Zone. You can complete Star Control simply by wiping out every robot and turret on the map and its associated dungeons (marked with ride symbols), but it is worth doing it "properly" by tracking down the Star Cores. Doing so will automatically unlock all the Galactic robot mods added in Fallout 4: Nuka World, and of course there's that power armour, innit. A fine reward for your hard work.

Fallout 4 Nuka World is full of these waypoint-less fetch quests, so we feel no shame about providing a guide for them. So here you go: directions to every Star Core in Fallout 4: Nuka World.

By the way, we have a huge Fallout 4 guide you can check out if you're struggling with any other part of the game. If you have questions, we have answers.

Galactic Zone dungeon Star Cores

There are four dungeons in Nuka World's Galactic Zone - Starlight Interstellar Theater, Robco Battlezone, Vault-Tec: Among the Stars and Nuka Galaxy. Clearing these dungeons will net you a total of 23 Star Cores - more than enough to reboot the mainframe. These are the easiest Star Cores to find because you know how many there are in each area, and once the enemies are down, it's just a matter of poking carefully into each corner.

Still, it's pretty easy to miss a couple, so we've listed the location of each Galactic Zone dungeon Star Core below. Where applicable we've arranged them in the order you'll encounter them along the linear crawls, so if you're missing just one or two Star Cores as opposed to vacuuming them all up at aince, just wander along the crawl route and check in at each of the Star Core locations to see if you've grabbed it.

Starlight Interstellar Theater Star Cores

There are four Star Cores in this short, non-linear dungeon:

  • From the entrance, take the left corridor until you reach the bathrooms towards the far end. Enter the men's bathroom (blue paint) and look for a crack in one wall. There's a dead trader in here with a Star Core.
  • From the entrance, explore the right corridor until you reach the kitchen at the far end. There's a door in here behind which you'll find the second Star Core.
  • Enter the main cinema area. There's a console towards the rear of the room, opposite the screen, with a third Star Core.
  • Take either of the elevators to the catwalks or control room above the cinema. There's a fourth Star Core in a console in the control room.

RobCo Battlezone Star Cores

There are six Star Cores in this dungeon, but you'll need to survive some tough robot encounters to claim the last one. If you don't need every Star Core, skip the fourth one here.

  • From the entrance, enter the audience seating area and immediately turn left. Search along the wall for a locked door leading to a room with two Star Cores.
  • Take one of the passages between the blocks of audience seating to find the souvenir shop tucked away at the back. There's a Star Core on a shelf.
  • Facing the robot battle arena, circle anti-clockwise to enter the tunnels underneath it; beware the sentry bot. There's a Star Core on a console.
  • Finally, make a save and then enter the arena itself, where you can collect two Star Cores. Three waves of hostile robots will spawn in before you can exit, so be careful.

Vault-Tec: Among the Stars Star Cores

There are six Star Cores in this confusing and occasionally deadly dungeon. Check the scenery in each room to orientate yourself.

  • From the entrance, take the elevator down to the start of the "ride". In the area with rocks and Protectrons, look for a locked door hidden away from the ride path. There's a Star Core in the room beyond.
  • Follow the ride path until you reach a living room display. There are multiple exits from this room. One locked sliding door leads to a small observation room with a Star Core.
  • Two of the exits from the living room area form a short loop. Along this route there's a highly radioactive room. There's a Star Core in this room.
  • Finally, there's a nursery off the living room display area. Pick the locked sliding door here to enter the central office - watch out for the Novatron. One of the doors in this room leads to the main observation centre, where three Star Cores and a loot chest await.

Nuka Galaxy Star Cores

This linear dungeon includes seven Star Cores. If you're a stealth character, activating ride lighting at any active terminal will make it easier to sneak up on the many enemies and turrets. Otherwise, the standard emergency lighting makes navigation and spotting Star Cores much easier. Turn up your screen's brightness!

  • From the entrance, proceed through the queueing lanes to the boarding area. Facing the direction the ride travels, look for a door to the right of the ride path. There's a Star Core in this room.
  • From the last room, take the door leading deeper into the ride. When you reach a large room with multiple planets, cross to the opposite side of the ledge you start on, and find some stairs leading down. Cross the room to reach a corridor, and collect a Star Core from the console part way along it.
  • Continue along the corridors and take the elevator on your left. Turn left out of the elevator and find a small opening leading to the next room. There's a console directly opposite this entrance where you can collect another Star Core.
  • Proceed right through the rocky set to reach a hidden door leading to a long set of stairs leading up. When you emerge back onto the ride track, immediately turn left and climb a short flight of stairs to reach a console with another Star Core.
  • At the end of the ride you can collect a Star Core and a key from a console at the disembarkation zone. Use the key on the nearby door to open a path back to the ride entrance. In the short tunnel between the ride entrance and ride exit there's a short flight of stairs leading to an office. Collect a Star Core in here.
  • Finally, enter the tiny control booth off the office mentioned in the last bullet point and grab the last Star Core from the computers.

Nuka World and Galactic Zone Star Cores

Although there are a stack of Star Cores to be found in the dungeons listed above, a further 12 Star Cores are lying around in the overworld or miscellaneous cells. Seven of them are found in the Galactic Zone, while five are scattered around the broader Fallout 4: Nuka-World map.

Galactic Zone Star Cores

There are seven Star Cores to be found around the Galactic Zone park. Clear out or avoid enemies to make this easier.

  • One Star Core is found near a corpse near the mainframe in Starport Nuka.
  • A second Star Core is found in a locked display case on the upper level of Starport Nuka.
  • At the base of Starport Nuka, go through the mesh gate and search the huts and sheds for a third Star Core near another corpse.
  • There's a Star Core on the console at the top of the long stairs leading up to the Arcjet G-Force ride near Nuka Galaxy.
  • Facing the entrance ramp to Nuka Galaxy, search to the right for a small shed with another Star Core.
  • There's one Star Core on the console near the bottom end of the Spacewalk; if you're coming down the ramp from Starport Nuka, it's on your right just at the end. Approaching from Robco Battlezone, it's on the left before you go in and harder to see.
  • The final Star Core is on the top level of Starport Nuka, and is only accessible afetr completing the main story quest to restore power to Nuka World.

Nuka-World Star Cores

To get the last five Star Cores, you'll need to range all over the greater Nuka-World map.

  • On a table in the Nuka-Town Market, on the north side.
  • Inside Nuka-Cade; turn right from the entrance and head back into an employee area.
  • In a barn north east of the junkyard found in the south west of the map (the Hubologist quest will take you to the junkyard if you're having trouble finding it).
  • South of Doc Phosphate's in Dry Rock Gulch, near a corpse.
  • Near a corpse in the Nuka-Cola Bottling Plant; face the Quantum area and turn right to locate it.

Star Core console ID

Look, we all know there's no point playing games if you're just going to cheat all the time, but we also know it's very tiresome to do a bunch of fetch quests when you just want to shoot robots and pick pockets. So you'd be forgiven for wanting to spawn in 35 Star Cores through the console and tick the quest off that way.

Well, tough biscuits: it doesn't work. Star Cores spawned with the console (ID 0601E367) can't be installed in the mainframe. Buh-bow.

If you really want to cheat your way through Fallout 4: Nuka World, you'll need to use the console to advance the quest stage until you have "collected" all 35 Star Cores, and then install the 35 Star Cores you added to your inventory. You could also just no-clip through the display case and grab the power armour if you don't mind the quest hanging around unfinished in your journal.

Honestly though, collecting the Star Cores doesn't take too long now that you know where they all are. Good luck!

Secure Nuka-World's Bottling Plant

Secure safari adventure, secure kiddie kingdom, secure dry rock gulch, secure galactic zone.

The goals of this quest are to expand the territory for the gangs, secure the parks beyond the walls of Nuka-Town USA and then decide which gangs will occupy the territories permanently. Claiming an area for a raider gang raises your favor with them. There's no way, however, to be entirely fair to the three groups. At the conclusion of the main quest, you will receive two of three possible perks based on your preference between the gangs.

Fallout 4: Nuka-World – ‘Precious Medals’ Quest Guide | All Medallions

On PC, PS4, and Xbox One: Go for the full tour and collect all the medallions of Nuka-World for a refreshing reward. Get all the locations here.

F4Nuka6

Complete the “Precious Medals” quest and earn yourself an array of Nuka-Cola flavors in the soda-themed DLC for Fallout 4   with our locations guide.

In Nuka-World , many of the unique locations feature a special medallion dispenser to commemorate your visit. Getting them all for the Nuka-Cola robot N.I.R.A. is a surprisingly in-depth quest, and she doesn’t exactly explain where to get them all. That’s why we’re here — to provide all the answers in the complete guide / gallery below.

If you’re a true survivor, check out Gameranx’s massive list of guides, how-to’s, secret locations, and everything else a fresh Vault 111 escapee needs to thrive on the Fallout 4 Ultimate Commonwealth Guide .

‘Precious Medals’ Quest Guide | All Medallions

In the ‘Precious Medals’ quest, you’ll need to locate 7 medallion dispensers spread across Nuka-World. Get all 7 and return to N.I.R.A. to complete the quest, earn some XP, and get one of every Nuka-Cola flavor.

  • How to Start the Quest: Find the bottle-shaped robot N.I.R.A. walking around the exterior of Nuka-Town Market, outside the Cola-Cars courtyard. Talk to her to get this quest started.

With the quest started, you’ll need to travel to each of the parks to find the medallions. There are 7 medallions in all, and some will require that you complete other quests to access — we’ll provide extra details if the medallion area is inaccessible.

safari adventure star core location

  • Medallion #1: Galactic Zone – Vault-Tec: Among the Stars – Go through the ‘Among the Stars’ building until you reach the exit. The medallion dispenser is located right next to the Vault-Tec exit door.
  • Medallion #2: Galactic Zone – Nuka-Galaxy – Fight all the way to the end of the ride, or break through the two Master locks near the start of the ride. Once you reach the rocket’s end-point climb the steps and look right.
  • Medallion #3: Bottling Plant – World of Refreshment – You don’t even have to enter this ride. Just look at the entrance and find where the lines (used to) form. The medallion dispenser is right out there in the open.
  • Medallion #4: Kiddie Kingdom – Nuka Racers – Find this unmarked ride west of the Fun House on your map. The medallion dispenser is found next to the ride boarding area.
  • Medallion #5: Kiddie Kingdom – Ferris Wheel – This one can be easy-to-miss. Find the dispenser at the base of the Ferris Wheel — follow the metal fence around to an alley near the tea cups ride.
  • Medallion #6: Safari Adventure – Cappy’s Tree House – Navigate the hedge maze to find the elevator to the tree house. The dispenser is found on the first floor of the tree house, to the right of the balcony.
  • Medallion #7: Dry Rock Gulch – Mad Mulligan’s Minecart Coaster – Talk to Sheriff Eagle / Hawk and complete their quest to get the keys to the minecart ride. The quest-givers are located near the two entrances to Dry Rock Gulch. Once you have the key, navigate the mines until you reach the gift shop with the chained door. The dispenser is next to that door.

That’s all seven medallions! Time to turn them in — return to N.I.R.A. and she’ll give you a prize.

  • Reward: Nuka-Cola Dark, Nuka-Grape, Nuka-Cola Quantum, Nuka-Cola Wild

It doesn’t seem like much of a reward, but don’t miss out on the Nuka-Cola Mixers found all over the park. Using these special dispenser stations, you can mix Nuka-Cola flavors and create unique brews that provide tons of benefits, especially if you’ve found Nuka-Cola recipes.

Nuka-World junkyard

  • View history

The Nuka-World junkyard is a location in the exterior of Nuka-World in 2287 .

  • 1 Background
  • 3 Notable loot
  • 5 Appearances

Background [ ]

The junkyard appears to have been a dump for unwanted inventory removed from Nuka-World before the Great War , including rides and robots.

The Hubologists from the Hubologist's camp will establish a new camp in the junkyard's warehouse during the quest Trip to the Stars , once the spacesuits have been delivered to Dara Hubbell .

The Nuka-World junkyard is on the southwestern outskirts of Nuka-World, due west of Nuka-Town USA . There is a large warehouse at the main entrance to the east. The junkyard proper consists of a network of winding trenches and pathways surrounded by piles of debris, with intermittent pockets of radiation reaching as high as +30 rads per second.

The tunnel leading to the junkyard's center where the "Ultimate UFO" ride is located is to the southeast, next to a half-buried Pick-R-Up billboard. The pathway to the ride consists of a series of tunnels, subway cars, and other debris.

Notable loot [ ]

  • Commie Whacker - In the large warehouse, on the lower level on the table near the generator.
  • SCAV! issue #2 - In the large warehouse, on the upper level on the desk near the animatronic alien .
  • Power distributor - On the desk with the SCAV! issue.
  • Star core - In a computer console next to the desk with the SCAV! issue.
  • In the large warehouse, in the generator next to the Port-A-Diner .
  • In the large warehouse, in the suspended orange gondola below the SCAV! issue, power distributor, and star core.
  • In the tunnels, just past the first subway car in the mouth of a bear statue sticking out of the wall.
  • On the ledge south of the Ultimate UFO, on the seat of a blue teacup ride.
  • On the path southwest of the Ultimate UFO, on an upper shelf in the accessible subway car.
  • Nuka-Cola Dark - On a safe upstairs in the barn, near the star core and animatronic alien.

The Port-A-Diner in the large warehouse has a 100% chance of dispensing a perfectly preserved pie .

The Best Parks In Moscow, Russia

safari adventure star core location

The parks of Moscow, Russia, are the big green lungs of the city, where you can relax from the eternal hum of roads, work and noisy neighbors. Here is our selection of the best parks for a memorable afternoon.

Gorky central park of culture and leisure.

safari adventure star core location

One of the oldest culture and leisure amusement parks in Russia, Gorky Park was created on the banks of the Moscow River in 1928. It is a perfect place for an active holiday, with lots to do – it even has several shooting ranges. Most notably, the original layout has remained intact to the present day. Gorky Park is always full of people: in the colder months fans of a winter skate queue patiently in order to go on the ice skating rink. In summer many visitors simply have lazy strolls along the alleys of the most famous park in Moscow. Golitsyn Pond is equipped with a boat station, where you can hire a pedalo or catamaran.

Museum-Reserve Tsaritsyno

Vorobyovy Gory

Vorobyovy Gory can be described as a huge green mass, lying on the bank of the Moscow river. The park can be seen at the exit of the metro station of the same name. Vorobyovy Gory features a high jump platform, which points to its history tied with sports facilities. Near the top of the jump, there is a viewing platform, which is visited by an enormous flow of people with cameras and easels. The panoramic view shows off the wonderful skyline of Moscow, the river, Luzhniki Stadium, Novodevichy Monastery, St Andrew’s Monastery and skyscrapers of the Moscow City complex. If you head towards the building of Moscow State University, in front of it you will spot an alley with the busts of great scientists and a lovely pond. The park also features wonderful slopes and access to the waterfront. Here you can enjoy nature and solitude, paint landscapes or read classical literature.

MSU Botanical Garden Aptekarskiy Ogorod

Aptekarskiy Ogorod is not quite a park but an oasis away from the stone and concrete of the city. At the beginning of 17th century Peter I decided to build a herb garden on this site. With that decree began the stormy history of the garden, which in Soviet times was essentially abandoned. Now it is a small cozy garden, and a lovely place to go during lunch or visit on a romantic date. The park features dozens of attractive, bright colors which cannot be found anywhere else in Moscow, and a beautiful pond dotted with water lilies. There is a shop with rare plants, where you can buy rare seeds of American blueberry or bog oak. During the winter the park hosts festivals of ice sculptures. In spring, exhibitions of orchids are perfect events for admiring their blossoming and a variety of floral crops. In the summer you can simply enjoy teasing fish in the pond, and sitting on a bench admiring the colorful nature.

Izmaylovsky Park

Izmaylovskiy Park of Culture and Leisure is a combination of nature and grounds for outdoor activities and cultural entertainment. Whenever possible, Muscovites try to get to the park to breathe in the fresh, clean air. Izmaylovsky Park was created in 1931, and since then its green doors have been open to visitors all year round. Spending a day out in the park with the family has became one of the good traditions for residents of Moscow. The park resembles more of a genuine forest, with green trees, rotten stumps covered with moss and lichen overgrown with tall grasses.
