Yes, A Solo Safari Is Possible

By Mary Holland

Serengeti National Park Tanzania

Whether it's to see the Great Migration in Kenya or go lion-spotting in Botswana , the African safari is a trip usually reserved for once-in-a-lifetime family getaways or a honeymoon to beat all honeymoons. Yet there I was, soaking up the sights and sounds of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania —solo. Early each morning, I drank tea in bed, alone and undistracted, my only companions the morning birds. During the day, my guide, Zawadi, and I traversed the park’s grassy plains scanning for animals. In the evenings, I joined the other guests—a group of Dutch tourists—for dinner at the communal dining table, and around the campfire. At first, it felt awkward, a lone traveler joining a group of lifelong friends for a meal, but the camp’s manager Angel, who also joined the table, was quick to make everyone feel comfortable. We launched into conversation about what we’d seen that day: a leopard stalking an antelope; a clan of hyenas lying outside their den. Did anyone else hear the lions roaring late last night? This was one thing that connected us all—we were filled with stories we couldn’t wait to share.

A few days in the middle of nowhere with just the hotel staff and a few other guests you don’t know for company? Yep, that can be intimidating. But it also has the potential to also be an incredibly rewarding experience. “Africa can be daunting to tackle as a solo traveler, but it needn’t be,” says Adrian Kaplan, general manager of marketing at Singita. “There is no better place than an African safari to recharge, center, and reconnect with nature.”

And reconnecting with that nature, even if you're traveling solo, isn't as daunting as you'd think. “ Gorilla trekking in Rwanda (which Singita will offer from August 2019) is a perfect, life-changing adventure [for a solo traveler], as tracking gorillas is an easy expedition to do on your own,” says Kaplan. For the trek—which any traveler can book, and isn’t exclusive to Singita—guests are divided into groups of eight (dependent on their fitness level) where guides take them into the Volcanoes National Park to track gorillas. Whether you’re entirely alone or with a group of five people, staying in a five-star lodge or a hostel, you’re still clumped together in a group of eight.

It's not just gorilla-trekking that's a fit for solo travelers. “Active trips that include activities like walking (with Khoi/San people in the Kalahari), boating (on the Boteti River to see elephants), Mokoro canoe in the Okavango and day/night drives looking for predators and prey are the kind of trips solo safari goers are most interested in,” says Dave van Smeerdijk, co-founder of safari company, Natural Selection . Even game drives require a large amount of time with other guests, as you generally share a vehicle. Towards the end of an evening game drive, the guide will generally stop the truck for sundowners. Here, huddled beside the vehicle, guests share stories over gin and tonics and biltong (jerky).

Of course, if you don’t want to interact with other guests at all, you can book a private guide and vehicle through your safari outfitter or the lodge itself, but this does come with a heftier price tag. What’s key is finding a travel company that can tailor to your needs, whatever those might be. Judi Wineland of Thomson Safaris recommends you select a company that will look after you throughout your trip, and with whom you have a good rapport. “Are they calling you back quickly? Are they hearing your needs? Also, it’s great to be completely on your own, but it really elevates the solo experience when you can meet like-minded people along the way, so choose a company that shares your ethics,” says Wineland.

"Gorilla trekking in Rwanda is a perfect, life-changing adventure [for a solo traveler]," says Adrian Kaplan, general manager of marketing at Singita.

Some safari outfitters like Robin Pope, which specializes in Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe, offer various experiences that cater to guests who have similar interests such as birding and boating, and Abercrombie & Kent invites solo travelers to journey as part of a large group of like-minded people in their solo journey program. It also comes down to the safari property itself, as some are more ‘solo friendly’ than others.

“I would guide someone towards properties that have more of the old-school, communal dining programs,” says Suzanne Teng, Abercrombie & Kent product manager, Africa. She cites Kenya’s Lewa Wilderness camp, where all guests dine together with the lodge owners, as an example. Other camps—like Dunia in Tanzania’s Serengeti and Jack’s Camp in Botswana’s Makgadikgadi —also have communal dining tables where guests can interact with each other during meal times. “These types of camps encourage guests to mingle (even couples) and share their stories from the day,” says Teng.

When it comes to rates, many lodges offer a rate per room, but there are tour operators that have specials for single rates. As part of their solo journey program, Abercrombie & Kent has special offers and discounted single supplements. With Thomson Safaris, they can even pair you up with another traveler. “In terms of rooming, if we have another solo traveler of the same gender on the trip, we can match you up to share some of the cost. More than one lifelong friend has been made this way!” says Wineland. You can also save more cash depending on the time of year you choose to go. Dave van Smeerdijk recommends solo travelers visit during the rainy ‘Green Season’, from January to March, which is the low season but still offers great game viewing, as there are often specials for single rooms.

Special rates for solo travelers? That’s reason enough to travel on your own.

Safari is a wonderfully rewarding holiday for anyone wanting to travel alone. Whether you want to join a small group of like-minded single travellers in Africa or have a tailor-made safari itinerary planned just for you, there are literally hundreds of possibilities. In fact of all the trips we organise, it’s probably only self-drive itineraries we wouldn’t recommend to a solo traveller.

If you are looking for company when you holiday in Africa then one of the best things to consider is to join a small group, of typically no more than eight people. These safaris operate on frequent departure dates throughout the year and vary in length, style and types of activity.

If group travel doesn’t appeal then we can plan a safari specifically for you. The majority of camps and lodges we use are small and have an atmosphere akin to that of a sociable, informal dinner party.

Travel Tips

  • If you would like to join a ‘set departure’ itinerary then gorilla tracking safaris in Rwanda and Uganda, or walking safaris in Zambia are great options.
  • It’s possible to join a riding safari as a solo traveller, in fact many of our clients do just that.
  • There are some excellent small group trips in Botswana and Tanzania, where single travellers are made very welcome.
  • We spend a lot of time travelling solo ourselves so are well placed to advise on this style of safari.
  • The inclusive atmosphere at small safari camps means Africa is a great destination for single travellers.

5 Solo Safaris For Single Travelers

While any trip can became a solo journey with a “singles supplement,” the following safaris are especially good fits for those who want to see amazing Africa on their own, in the comfort of a small group with 5 to 9 other people.

African Adventure explorations aren’t limited to couples and groups; single travelers can join in the safari excitement and have an equally astounding trip, plus the luxury of being in remote areas with incredible wildlife, while having the camaraderie of dinner and safari companions on one of our group adventures.

  • Group Primate and Plains Safari to Uganda and Rwanda

“This primate tour has been on my bucket list the longest, and was probably the most expensive trip I’ve taken – and it was totally worth it!!!” says J Craig. “I think we really lucked out on especially our 2 gorilla treks. I’m sure it helped that Male passed on our wishes to visit the closest group, with the easiest trek expected, but considering they continually move, it was fortuitous that they didn’t stray too far. In addition, both groups ended up in nice open areas that made viewing very easy, relaxed & incredibly close for photos. Even the morning rain in Rwanda didn’t spoil things &made their hair fluffy. Bwindi was definitely more difficult trekking, but not the super challenging, long struggle it could have been, for which we were very grateful. I certainly wanted you to know how much I enjoyed these experiences.”

This group adventure encompasses the thrill of gorilla treks and wildlife safaris in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Volcanoes National Park, chimp trekking in Kibale Forest, and game viewing in Uganda the “The Pearl of Africa—all areas where the pristine natural areas and incredible wildlife encounters are some of the best in Africa.

  • Group Great Wilderness Safari to Botswana

This is a flying safari offering a great combination of 3 classic level permanent tented camps.  The group departure is limited to 8 people and you are led by superb guides including Francis Kudumo.  You begin with a night in Victoria Falls. Alison Nolting was recently in the Okavango Delta on safari with Francis and comments” it is so enthralling being in the Linyanti with only your own group and having the whole area to ourselves as we watched a herd of elephant drinking at the river’s edge”.

  • Tanzania Group Explorer Safari

This small group safari in Tanzania hits the exciting Migration and is well priced for the first time traveler to Africa. The unique variety of accommodations, include tented camps and small country hotels. Highlights aee game drives, guided walking safaris, and cultural interaction with the Maasai; the Great Rift Valley; spectacular Ngorongoro Crater; and the “endless plains” of the Serengeti. AAC client John Munro reminisces: “The trip to Tanzania went great was able to see lots of game. Shaukat was very easy to work with and he made suggestions to the group which bettered every ones experience.”

  • Ultimate Namibian Group Safari

Finish with time at the very special Okonjima’s AfriCat  to see endangered cheetah. Accommodations include Classic level permanent tented camps and lodges. AAC client Irene Cavatore reports “First want to say that I think this was a GREAT overview of Namibia!! I enjoyed it thoroughly! Twfelfontein and the Himba visit were 2 of my “bucket list” items!

It was an amazing trip!

It was an amazing trip! We lucked out with the weather – no rain. The other British couple (only 3 others in the group, the last a young German woman, all nice which made the trip enjoyable) had been on a similar tour with Letaka last...

Set sail, solo: tips for the single safari goer

Welcome to 2020, a time of self-reflection, self-care, and solo travel. More and more people are taking the plunge and seeking out places in the world that will rejuvenate the soul. Alone time in the world is a go! We are in full support of this movement for mindfulness and want to share our ideas for single safari goers. The perks, the pro-tips, and the money-saving moves that will get solo travellers on African safaris more easily.

Perks of solo travel in Africa

Lack of distraction . Take it all in on your own terms. It’s ultimately about self-care, so you choose what you need without feeling the need to consider what a partner might need. Take a morning to lie-in, alone. Enjoy the luxurious bed linen, take in the bush views through the windows, and listen to the sounds of birds in the morning. Make one cup of coffee. Travelling alone, you generally speak less, pay attention to your surroundings more. In the case of safari that means absorbing the new environment on game drive, choosing to sun-lounge or read a book or siesta in the afternoon. You decide.

Enhancing the human experience. As a solo traveller, you’ll find yourself creating more memorable bonds with a guide or fellow guests as you share often first-time experiences. Travelling alone, you engage with people more and the result is often higher impact human connections.

Getting one-on-one safari experiences. Many safari activities are offered on a private or personal basis. Private game drives, tracking wildlife on foot, interpretive bush walks, or spending time in a photography hide armed with your longest lens and an expert guide. These activities are a luxury and are likely to come at an additional price.

Recharge and reconnect with nature. Take the time out, talk less, absorb more. Many would argue that Africa is the perfect place to disconnect from routine and technology and enjoy being surrounded by wilderness. Early mornings with the sunrise, early nights, full of good food and tired from a day of discovery. Full, happy heart.

Activities for solo safari travellers:

Mokoro excursions. What was once (and still is) the traditional way to get around waterways of the Okavango Delta in Botswana is today a unique safari activity. Solo travellers can hop aboard the narrow canoe while their personal guide and enjoy the tranquility of a slow cruise through calm channels and lagoons.

Horseback riding. Experienced horse riders will find their happy place on the back of a noble steed, cantering through untamed areas inhabited by wildlife. We’ve got a list of incredible horse riding destinations, from Selinda in lush, northern Botswana to the open desert landscapes of Makgadikgadi further south.

Game drives and gorilla trekking. These iconic safari activities are designed for groups, but not necessarily for couples. Gorilla trekking groups are usually limited to eight people, so whether you’re a single or half of a whole, you’ll be counted as one of eight individuals destined to head into primate territory with a guide. Game drives are the same. Most game viewers take six to nine guests and singles and couples alike will jump aboard together. No singles discrimination here!

Similar interest group safaris. Some activities like birding, fishing, or walking can be arranged as a group interest safari. This type of offer gives many solo travellers the opportunity to travel with people who might be strangers, but who share the same interest.

Safari properties good for solo travellers

Communal dining is often something that is important for solo travellers. To sit around a table to enjoy a meal and share experiences is a meaningful way to get to know new people. After an exciting day on safari, eating together is a chatty affair and is often hosted by the lodge host or your safari guide. Perfect for those travelling alone.

  • At Lewa Wilderness Camp in Kenya, guests dine together along with the lodge owners. It is a seasonal camp, closed during April and May and only has a high season single supplement. During June, October, November, February and March, and most of September and January, singles can stay without a surcharge.

A solo traveller in golden sunset with ornately dressed Masai warrior guide

Green season specials are well worth considering if you want to cut some zeros off your safari bill. It is well known that off-peak season offers half-price or heavily discounted rates. Safari rates are generally the same whether you’re sharing a room or not and most of the time singles have to pay a surcharge. So, when those rates are dramatically cut down, it’s a good time to take advantage!

  • Sanctuary Chief’s Camp is ideal for a beautiful Botswana wetland safari. In the low season, no single supplement required, so solo travellers can make the most of this luxury destination without paying the extra 30-50% supplementary fee.
  • Xugana Island Lodge and Camp Okavango are two water-based safari camps we love in Botswana. In the low season they also waive the single supplement fee for the first two singles travelling in a group booking. Only the third and subsequent guests in the group are charged extra, making the whole group booking a fair bit cheaper.

Some lodges cater for single occupancy in the best way, by requiring no single supplement whatsoever. These are a few of our favourites:

  • Stanley Safari Lodge requires no single supplement and is just 10 minutes from Victoria Falls. It is located bordering Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park and has unspoilt views of the wilderness. The options for activities are endless and this is a fantastic central southern African safari location.
  • Elephant Pepper in the premier Mara North Conservancy in the Masai Mara requires no single supplement for solo travellers. This is a magnificent location with access to Mara River crossings and an emphasis on cultural and community involvement.
  • Kwitonda is Singita’s answer to the inimitable experience of gorilla trekking. High-end primate safari with world class sustainability ethics in Rwanda. It comes at a cost, but with no single supplement required for the first two single suites in a booking, this is one way to get your gorilla trekking experience on in style!

Bubble bath with a view

Sun Safaris Says

  • Travel in off-peak seasons and make use of lower rates and a more exclusive, less populated safari period. Ideal if you’re a single traveller wanting to disconnect from crowds and reconnect with nature.
  • Find out about dining options if you have a personal preference. Some lodges host family-style communal dining which suits those who want to meet and develop relationships with fellow travellers. Some lodges emphasise personal privacy and set dinner tables apart for groups and solo travellers.
  • Work with a travel expert who will listen to your preferences and give you honest advice about solo travel options in Africa. Our team is tuned in the various specials which could benefit those travelling alone and know where to look to create the perfect safari for one.

“ Sometimes, the best way to fully experience a place is alone. There’s a restorative power of these stretches of time spent alone, immersed in some other landscape, lost in another language, absorbed in a new culture. Solitude leads me to a better version of myself .” Marcia DeSanctis

Travelling solo does not mean you're always alone - unless you want to be

Travelling on your own is one of life’s joys. Not tied down by compromise or limited by the preferences of others, single travellers are free to safari on your terms. Freedom of choice is the new luxury!

Here are a few things to dwell on before you contact us to craft your dream solo safari:

Single supplements:

This is probably the biggest downside of solo travel.

Most rooms or tents accommodate two guests sharing - and that is how the owners determine their profitability per night. If you are on your own, then the revenue from the second person is lost - and so most establishments will charge you a premium - referred to as a ‘single supplement’ to make up some of the difference.

Some establishments will reduce or even waive the single supplement, but usually only when there is lower demand for accommodation or a last-minute need for bookings.

Think about travel date flexibility to access lower solo travel prices. Green (off-peak) season rates often extend into the weeks at the beginning and end of the traditional peak season - meaning prime game viewing at lower prices. Also, ask your AG safari consultant to look out for last-minute rates (which do pop up even during the peak season).

Consider booking in advance to grab any early-bird specials or single supplement reductions (which may only be available for one room).

Some travellers share a room with another traveller to avoid single supplements.

Discuss these issues and options with one of our safari experts

SOLO or solo?

Some solo travellers prefer a totally SOLO experience, while others want the option to choose when and what to share with others. Each of these preferences comes with logistical or cost implications. For example:

Enjoying the exclusive use of a game-drive vehicle and guide gives you the ultimate freedom to plot your day, but it will cost significantly more.

Many experiences offered to lodge guests involve sharing with others - for example, a bush or birding walk, mokoro or boat outing and balloon safaris. Asking for a totally exclusive experience will involve careful planning if the experience is offered at no extra cost by your lodge and the lodge is full at the time. If the experience is a paid optional activity then your choice of exclusivity will again cost significantly more.

Meals at your lodge can be a communal experience with other guests or an evening at your own table or in your room/tent. The choice is yours, and there is usually no extra cost.

Some costs on a safari are fixed - which means that the more people you have in your group to share the costs, the lower the price of your safari per person. Examples include drivers, guides, vehicle transfers/car hire and chartered flights.

Another important solo travel issue to discuss with your Africa Geographic safari consultant is whether you are comfortable with the possible presence of young children at the same camp/lodge/tour.

Whatever your preference, let your AG safari consultant know beforehand so we can make the arrangements.

Trip types and camps/lodges that suit solo travellers

Tailor-made safaris are crafted just for you, based on your wishes and budget. They can be privately guided or not, depending on the nature of the trip and your needs

Group scheduled departures - these safaris usually start and end on fixed dates and are designed for a group travelling with a guide. Most people booking these safaris have not met beforehand. Smaller groups (4 to ten people) are better for solo travellers because it’s easier to join conversations and make new friends

Small camps and lodges are better for solo travellers because it’s easier to join conversations and make new friends than when you face large groups of bonded friends. Staff at smaller camps and lodges are usually more attentive and observant about these things

Walking safaris are an excellent option for single travellers. Group sizes are small, and the experience is intimate and social

Mobile safaris as also good for solo travellers - you will spend lots of time with a small group of people in a variety of vehicles and camps/lodges

  • The process for deleting web history is different for Mac, iPhone, and iPad.
  • You can use Private Browsing Mode to prevent web history from being saved.

From accessing your bank account on a shared computer to Googling embarrassing queries, there are a number of reasons to want to clear out your search history. Deleting your history on Safari removes your trail of web browsing, but the process also does more than clear out potentially embarrassing websites.

Clearing your history will also remove associated cookies from the web browser, reducing the number of ways you are being tracked online. While clearing your web history only removes cookies from Safari and not third-party websites that already have your data, it can still be helpful to reduce online tracking. Clearing the related cache can also sometimes fix bugs.

Deleting a web history from Safari isn't a terribly complicated process, but the steps are a bit different if you are using a MacBook , iPad , or iPhone . The steps for clearing several web pages and a single website are also different. Some privacy settings can also prevent you from deleting any web history, leaving the buttons you need grayed out.

How to close all Safari tabs on iPhone at the same time

There are also a few tricks that can make the process simpler. For example, if you turn on iCloud for Safari, when you delete the history from your Mac, it will automatically be deleted from your phone and tablet too. If you know you want to delete your web history before you make a single click, you can use Private Browsing Mode instead.

Whether you are a murder mystery writer looking to eliminate search queries that would raise the eyebrows of any detective, or you want to reduce the number of cookies tracking you, this guide will tell you how to delete Safari history in a few simple steps.

How to delete Safari history on a Mac

Safari allows you to delete a lot of web history from a Mac or MacBook at once by allowing you to choose the dates for which you would like to erase. If you want to clear websites from the last hour, last day, last two days or all of your web history, this is the process to use.

  • Open Safari
  • From the top toolbar, click on History , then click Clear History.
  • In the pop-up window, use the drop-down menu to select the time period you want to clear from your history.
  • Click Clear History .

How to delete Safari history on an iPhone or iPad

The steps for clearing out your Safari history on an iPhone is quite different from using a Safari browser on a Mac. But, the process is the same across both iPhones and iPads, so these steps below work for both your phone and tablet.

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Select Safari.
  • Scroll down to the Privacy & Security section and select Clear History and Website Data.
  • On the next page, tap the time frame that you would like to delete the history for.
  • Optional: If you also want to close out of all open websites, tap the toggle for Close All Tabs.
  • Tap Clear History.

How to delete a single website from Safari history

Safari allows you to easily delete websites from the last hour, day, two days, or your entire web history easily. But, if you only want to remove a single website, you'll instead have to access your history, and then select the individual page to remove.

  • Open a Safari browser.
  • From the top toolbar, select History > Show All History. Or, you can use the keyboard shortcut Command + Y.
  • Select the website entry that you wish to delete. If that site was not visited today, you will need to tap on the date that you visited the website to find it or use the search bar at the top.
  • Right-click on the website entry and select delete.

On an iPhone or iPad:

  • Tap the Bookmark icon on the bottom (it looks like an open book).
  • Tap the Clock or History icon at the top of the page.
  • Locate the website that you wish to delete from your history -- your history is organized by the date you visited.
  • On the website you wish to delete, swipe left, then tap on the red trash icon.

How to use Bing Chat on Safari

How to use private mode in safari.

If you know that you'll want to delete the website that you are about to visit from your history, try using Private Browsing Mode instead. This mode does not save any website history, including search history and autofill information. That means you can do your online banking without going back and deleting your web history when you are done.

To use Private Browsing Mode on a Mac:

  • Open Safari.
  • On the top toolbar, go to File > New Private Window.
  • Use this new private window for browsing. You can quickly see if a Safari browser is Private because the field to type in the URL is dark gray instead of white.

To use Private Browsing Mode on iOS:

  • Tap the tab icon in the bottom left corner.
  • At the bottom of the screen, tap Private (swipe to see all the toppings in this toolbar if you do not see the Private option.)
  • Private browsing will have a dark gray URL field instead of white. To return to regular browsing, repeat the steps but this time swipe back to your open tabs.

How to use picture-in-picture mode in Safari on Mac

How to instantly clear your web history from multiple devices.

With iCloud , Safari can save your web browsing across all the devices that you use with your Apple ID. While that's helpful for quickly recalling a website no matter what device you first opened it with, it also syncs any deletions to the web history across your devices . That means if you delete a web page from your history on a Mac, it will automatically be deleted from your iPhone too -- as long as both devices are logged into the same Apple ID and iCloud for Safari is enabled.

iCloud for Safari can be enabled during the setup process for a new device, but it can also be turned on and off from the Settings app:

  • Tap on your Apple ID or name at the top.
  • Tap on iCloud.
  • Under Apps Using iCloud, select Show All . (If you are running iOS 15 or earlier, you may not see the full list already instead of the Show All option, in which case you can jump to the next step.)
  • Toggle on Safari from the list.

Why can't I clear my Safari history?

In some cases, the buttons that you need to tap to clear your Safari history are gray. But why can't you delete your Safari history, and how do you fix it? Here are a few common reasons why the Safari history options are grayed out:

  • You've already deleted your history and there are no more websites to clear out.
  • Web content restrictions are turned on. Some parental control settings prevent kids and teens from deleting their web history, while other content restrictions can also prevent you from deleting. To access the content restriction options, open the Settings app and go to Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions.
  • You are using Private Browsing Mode. This mode does not save your web history, so you have nothing to delete.

14 Safari tips and tricks you absolutely need to know

Can you permanently delete safari history.

Deleting your Safari history makes it difficult for the average person to recover the past websites that you have visited. However, if you are connected to your work or school network, in some cases the network administrator can still see your website access. Deleting your website history also may not fool a trained digital forensics expert during an investigation.

Fixed: Safari Search Bar Missing After Updating to iOS 17.4

Kanika Modi

Is your Safari search bar missing after iOS 17.4 update? Many users are reportedly facing the same issue after recent iOS update. This isn’t isolated since it occurred after the first iOS 17 update and even with MacBook users. However, you can get the search bar back on your iPhone and fix this error.

Here is an extensive list of all the tried and tested solutions. Let’s check them out.

How to Fix Safari Search Bar Missing After Updating to iOS 17.4

The reason the Safari search bar is missing can simply be a bug after the update; hence, it is fixable. Follow the steps below to start browsing Safari again seamlessly.

1. Force Quit Safari Browser

To fix the Safari search bar missing issue on iOS 17.4 , you can force quit the Safari browser. By force quitting the app, you essentially restart it, which can clear any temporary data or processes that may be causing the search bar to disappear. This step is similar to restarting your computer to fix software issues.

Time needed:  2 minutes

Here is how you can do it.

Force Quit Safari on iPhone

Then, open the Safari browser and check if the search bar is back.

2. Change the Settings to Single Tab

Sometimes, Safari’s tab settings can affect the visibility of the search bar. You can restore the missing search bar by changing the settings to Single Tab and then back to Tab Bar.

Go to Safari

  • Now, open the Safari browser and see the search bar at the top of the screen.

If not, follow the above steps again, change the tabs to Tab Bar, and then check if the error is fixed.

3. Force Restart iPhone

If your iPhone faces any software issues causing the Safari error, you need to force restart the iPhone. Here is how you can do it.

  • Press and Release the Volume Up button.
  • Press and Release the Volume down button.

Force Restart iPhone

  • Release it when you see the Apple logo on the screen.

The iPhone will now restart. Once the process is completed, you can check the Safari browser.

4. Contact Apple Support

If none of the above methods are working and the Safari search bar still needs to be added, you should contact Apple customer support from their official website.

Since this error occurred after the recent update, you can wait for another update that might come with the necessary bug fixes. However, it is best to speak to an Apple expert about this, and they can help you further.

Wish there was another free day in Cape Town to explore more of the sights. I enjoyed all the safaris, but the one on the last day seemed unnecessary. Four safaris seemed too much to me. If the tour can arrange to pick us up at the airport on our first day, it should also arrange to bring us to the airport on our departure date as well. It was an excellent experience and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. I even recommended to a friend.

Ben, our guide, was excellent, he deserves 5 stars. On the other hand, the tour itself had one notable weakness, the lack of native South African cuisine.

Garden Route & Addo Group Adventure - 6 Days Tour

Garden Route & Addo Group Adventure - 6 Days

Honestly, amazing tour and company overall! Their customer service is beyond. I had to move my tour in September when I saw they had the storm and they were very accomodating!!! When I was doing research, this company came up in many facebook groups as recommendation by people who have booked with them and it clearly stands out a lot (and for a reason). I did the tour in November! IT WAS AWESOME! It is very well thought out and put together- the locations, accomodation, stops ...everything! They just tried to give us a taste of the diversity and beauty of this beautiful country. Our host for the week was Gareth, who made sure we had the best time on the tour! Honestly, cannot go wrong booking with them! ***Just one advice- leave the shark cage diving for when you are not on the tour as you will miss out on the whale watching and other bits! You can ask for details of the company, book it separately and do it on a day outside ofyour tour! It takes the whole day!!! It will be slighltly more expensive as the shark cage diving company will need to charge you for for two way transport, not only 1 way.

9 Day Incredible South African Safari and Drakensberg Adventure

We had a wonderful tour, made possible by a great guide. We wanted to get a taste of a variety of parks and found the destinations very thoughtfully put together. It is a lot of driving to see the various areas but there were strategic breaks. Loved staying inside the parks and having critters outside the veranda . We saw 13 rhinos in one day! Wade was great at seeing things we would have missed and always able to manoeuvre the car for best views and photos. They are quite happy to tailor your experience so don’t be afraid to ask.
