DON'T TRUST THIS TRAVEL AGENT

4 of us went to Oludeniz Turkey for 4 nights looking to have a great time doing various activities. We chose this travel agent as he initially seemed quite friendly and offered a good deal. However, on the final day of our stay we had quad biking booked for all of us at 8:30am. The driver who came to pick us up in our hotel was very rude, and wasn't willing to wait any longer for us even though it was well before the time booked. He LEFT 2 of us at the hotel and didn't look back. Both shocked at what had happened, we made ways to the travel agent to tell him what had happened. We were told to come back at 12:30 and that we would go to the next quad biking session. The travel agent was very aggressive and started blaming us for missing the quad bike activity. Even though we had paid he felt it was necessary to swear and shout at us. The travel agent wasn't budging and we decided to leave the place as it was our last day and we didn't want to ruin it. All I'm saying is that there is a lot more friendly and reliable travel agents in Oludeniz! DO NOT TRUST this travel agent. The travel agents we dealt with came be the name of "Luan" and "Mohammed".

Booked the 2-day Ephesus and Pamukkale tour through traveltofethiye.com (recommended and reviewed separately) but the actual trip was provided by Seaside Tours. The taxi turned up on time (6.15 am) to take us from the Hillside Beach Club to the centre of Fethiye to meet the mini-bus. There were about 16 of us on the bus which was just the right size of group I thought. After a couple of hours we stopped for a simple breakfast and then on the Ephesus which was great. Yalcin our guide was excellent, full of information and a great sense of humour. Lunch was organised for us but cost extra, and then a long drive to Pamukkale. Overnight was at the Halici Hotel in Pamukkale, which was basic but perfectly adequate for one night. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom clean and the aircon good. There was no kettle in the room, so I wish I'd taken my travel kettle. There was a fridge in the room though. Dinner and breakfast were basic but perfectly adequate. Pamukkale was fascinating, lots of people on the travertines and in the pools (some hot, some warm and some cold). No shoes of any kind allowed and a bit tough on bare feet. We also had a look around Hieropolis, some people went on a further minibus trip to more archeological sites but we chose to go in the Antique Pool which was unique. This was an extra charge of 32 TL (about £7), you need to take swimwear and towel, there are lockers and changing rooms and you are allowed to wear waterproof shoes. The pool has many submerged columns and rocks in it which can be slippery. The water is very warm and slightly fizzy. There are several coffee and snack bars around the pool. The only slight downside was the compulsory visits to the onyx factory and carpet workshop, which used up a couple of hours when all we wanted was to get home. However, I presume they subsidise the tour and at just over £50 for a 2-day tour including two breakfasts and a dinner and entrance fees, it is superb value for money. Neither the onyx or carpet visits pushed us into buying anything. It was a busy two days, arriving back at our hotel in time for dinner. The trip and particularly the guide deserve 5 stars but the inclusion of carpet and onyx stops reduce it to 4. Would prefer more time at chosen destination or earlier arrival home.

My friend and I made the two day trip to these historic sites in Turkey on 27th & 28th September. The sites were stunning and the trip was brought alive by our tour guide Yalcin. He was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable and his passion, energy and sense of fun made this trip extremely enjoyable. It is well worth taking the time to see the theatre ruins whilst at Pamukkale. It is surprisingly intact given it's age. i was blown away! I must also mention the driver of the mini-bus. Although he spoke no English he was good natured and a safe driver. i can't think of anything negative to say about this trip. Many thanks go to Yalcin for making this trip such a fantastic experience. Worth every penny. Janet Wallis

We have been to Turkey many times and you will be hard pressed to find a better trip company than Seaside Travel. Ati is one of the most professional tour guides you could ever meet. He completes the trips by his humour, knowledge and genuine like of the job that he does!

Just got back from an excellent two day trip to these amazing places. We had never done a trip like this before but really enjoyed our time and the balance of information and fun. It is such good value for money and we learnt so much as well having a great bunch of people with us. Yalcin our guide was really excellent and it made such a difference to the trip to be lead by someone that wasn't just doing a job but living out his passion for history. He was very respectful of everyone and made people laugh as well as being very informative about all areas. He is not just a tour guide but an historian who guides you through to his beloved Turkey. Thank you also to our driver who was so accommodating. Jenny and Paul (darling)

Olu Deniz main street. Week one of a fortnight. We're looking for a nice cruise for sometime in week two. Something quiet. Something with no kids - or flumes come to that. Something with no disco blaring out, Something with a British commentary. "I've got you just the thing" says the chap on the desk. Which is how we came to sign up to the 12 islands with Seaside. Then it went downhill from there. Early breakfast, pack some bits, up to the gate. We're at the Sentido so this is a logistics issue to start with, but we're there on time. 8.45 bob on. The mini bus turns up and we must be first pick up. From here follows a 2 hour tour of Olu Deniz and Hisaronu where the driver must have literally been dragging punters out of their beds. People who couldn't be ar*** to set an alarm, set their phones or request an early morning call. People who don't give a monkeys that a bus half full of people are sat outside your hotel right now and literally baking to death in a mini bus while you saunter through your bowl of Shreddies. I have nothing but contempt for this kind of lazy ignorance. Eventually we get to Fethiye harbour and find our boat. We finally cast off at just gone 11. We've been up 3 hours and had we known it would have been like this, we could have had a lay in till 10 then a 20 minute taxi ride direct - and still been early. 15 minutes out and having just cleared the harbour, we're running parallel with the pirate boat. On goes the disco, up goes the volume and the spare sun beds are gathered up to one side. Yes folks, its time for some Turkish Dancing. It soon becomes apparent that Brits are very much in the minority today, but hey, you're in Turkey, its inevitable there's going to be some locals on board. Could have been worse I suppose; could have been full of two other nationalities that generally we don't get along with. And so when it comes to our first cove for a swim stop, the "captain" comes across to us and, in broken English, tells us what's happening today on a one to one. For your drinks and food, you get a card / picture book and every time you get something from the bar, you get a tick on your card with a view to settling up at the end. I like this, like it a lot. And lunch, served by the crew at another cove, is a reasonable bit of boat trip fayre freshly frazzled en route on the barbie at the back of the boat. Another stop at Flat Island before turning back. This time its a more sedate journey, there's some music on but its bearable and the dancers seem to have done for the day. This is more like what I expected it to be. Credit to the young lad serving drinks and snacks throughout and credit to a photographer who joined for a short time and seemed to forget to take any photos. Theres nowt worse than somebody taking your un-posed for picture when you're off guard, sun bleached and wind swept - then charging you some extortionate amount for a photo you don't really want. As I said, a boat trip of two halves; the first half for the under 30s and locals, the return for the grown ups. In the end we kinda enjoyed it overall but I wouldn't do it again. At least not with this cruise or company. But a least the price was fair and a far better a deal than what we could have got in resort with our TC rep.

Hi all, We are planning a private tour with Seaside Travel Agency in Fethiye.

We read the reviews from their website. But we're still not sure how reliable their service is.

Anyone have any experience with this travel agency? Thanks for helping.

Tiny Acropol in Hisaronu is excellent. He has a website.

Thanks Jane, I will contact them for info.

Seaside Agency have a good reputation and you will have no problems with them. Establishedin 1997 and always get 5 starts.

https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g298031-d18977498-Reviews-Seaside_Travel_Agency-Fethiye_Mugla_Province_Turkish_Aegean_Coast.html Best to use someone local when you are over. Tiny is fine, but up in Hisaronu, no reason to go up all the way to Hisaronu.

Hello Frances-Jane,

Thank you for the reassurance.

We had a great boat trip experience through them - couldn’t fault the value for money and quality of the trip.

Hello Marn,

That is great to hear and thank you for sharing.
