Notable artists such as A$AP Rocky, Anderson .Paak, Beck, HAIM and more joined the band on the road through 2022. After completing the wildly successful tour across North America and Europe this year, Red Hot Chili Peppers continue into January 2023 with 8 dates across New Zealand and Australia, featuring Post Malone.

Red Hot Chili Peppers' frontman Anthony Kiedis sings in front of the band onstage.

After their massive 2022 stadium tour, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have decided to head back to the road and do it all over again next year.

The legendary So-Cal rockers just announced they would play ten North American shows from March 29 through May 25 .

On the run, they’ll hit stadiums they didn’t get around to in 2022, like Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium , Syracuse’s JMA Wireless Dome and Houston’s Minute Maid Park .

Plus, they won’t be coming to these mega venues alone.

At each show, RHCP has enlisted the talents of some of the biggest, most exciting names in music to serve as support acts.

We’re talking Iggy Pop, The Strokes, St. Vincent, Mars Volta, The Roots and more.

And if you’re so excited that you can’t wait until tickets officially go on sale, you can snag those bad boys as early as  today .

While inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, Dec. 9, folks who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can go ahead and purchase on Vivid Seats before seats are officially on sale.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Red Hot Chili Peppers opening acts

In the off chance you need a refresher on the big names joining Anthony Kiedis, Flea, John Frusciante and Chad Smith on tour, here’s a quick reminder to get back you back in the groove.

Iggy Pop has been around forever. The 75-year-old bad boy who came of age in the ’60s is now performing in his seventh decade and hasn’t lost a step along the way. We recommend starting with “Lust For Life” and “The Passenger” for newbies. It should be noted that Iggy Pop will only accompany the group on international tour dates.

The Strokes broke big in the early 2000s with their album “Is This It” and ruled the rock charts for most of the decade. Then, curiously, Julian Casablancas and co. broke up for most of the ’10s. Now, back together and with a 2020 Best Rock Album Grammy under their belt for “The New Abnormal,” the group is performing at the height of their powers.

The Roots are the rare group you may know better from TV than from their music. As the long-running house band for Jimmy Fallon’s “Tonight Show,” the 12-member outfit has proven they’re just as gifted comedically as they are musically. Still, don’t sleep on their sonically sound hip-hop — they’ll leave you wishing they toured more. Sadly, The Roots will only be touring with RCHP overseas this time around.

St. Vincent is indie royalty. Active since 2003, the singer-guitarist has made a name for herself with her powerful rock and nimble vocals. We recommend listening to her entire catalog, but if that’s too tall an order, you can’t go wrong with “Los Ageless” and “The Strangers.”

Mars Volta doesn’t sound like anyone else. After a decade-long hiatus, Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala’s prog-rock outfit are back and just dropped their self-titled reunion album “The Mars Volta” this year. For the uninitiated, you’ll want to start with their wild, best-selling 2005 record “Frances The Mute” though.

King Princess just completed their 2022 “Hold On Baby Tour.” Although, they’re by far the youngest act on the bill, make sure you’re firmly planted in your seat during their set. Otherwise, you’ll miss what Pitchfork calls a “keen-eared musician coming into their own.”

Thundercat opened for RHCP on their last run. His colorful, space-y sound will surely set the tone for the Peppers’ fun loving ambiance once again. Not convinced? Sit back, put on your best headphones and check out the trippy “Them Changes” to get you into the groove.

City and Colour made their name with the mega single “The Girl.” A touch more melancholy than their fellow tour openers the group’s mellow, acoustic, folksy sound will serve as a nice counterpoint at all shows they perform at. Want more? Try the emotional “Comin’ Home” next.

Red Hot Chili Peppers new music

In 2022, the group that brought the world “Under the Bridge,” “Scar Tissue,” and “Californication” delivered not one, but two albums.

The first, “Unlimited Love,” was the group’s first release since 2016’s “The Getaway” and their first with Frusciante since 2006. Pitchfork faintly praised the album, saying the Peppers “sound like no one but themselves.” It can be streamed here .

Their follow-up, “Return of the Dream Canteen,” received a similar response. Rolling Stone summed up their encore by calling it “75 Minutes of Pretty Good Leftovers.” You can be the judge by listening to the 17-track record here .

Red Hot Chili Peppers

Red Hot Chili Peppers have enlisted a heavy-hitting lineup of support acts for a 2023 tour of North America and Europe. The Strokes , St. Vincent, the Mars Volta, Thundercat, and City and Colour will open for the North American shows, which kick off next March in Vancouver at BC Place. Iggy Pop and the Roots will join the band on select European dates, and King Princess will play a string of shows on both legs of the 23-date tour.

The announcement comes after the band released a pair of rock chart-topping albums that were released in 2022, “Unlimited Love” and “Return of the Dream Canteen.” (Both were created with producer Rick Rubin and guitarist John Frusciante, who made headlines when he returned to the band in late 2019 after a 10-year hiatus.) The band also earned a 2023 Grammy nomination for best rock song for “Black Summer.”

The band recently wrapped their largest tour yet, a 40-date stadium run that spanned cities like London, Paris, Los Angeles and more. Artists such as A$AP Rocky, Anderson .Paak, Beck, Haim and more joined the band as supporting acts through 2022.

Tickets for the 2023 run go on sale starting Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. local time at  redhotchilipeppers.com .

Reviewing ‘Return Of The Dream Canteen’ , the band’s second album of 2022, NME wrote: “Buried in the sprawling ‘Return Of The Dream Canteen’, there’s a progressive album that sees the legendary California rockers taking risks, breaking new ground and engaging in the world around them. The band have never been ones for brevity though, and this album is an almighty slog, one where the vibrant new is weighed down with a lot of the same old tricks.

“For all glimpses of bold musical and lyrical steps forward, they remain largely the same band they’ve always been with ‘Return Of The Dream Canteen’ offering an all-you-can-eat buffet that often feels overwhelming.”

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS Announce Dates For 2023 Global Tour

Acclaimed rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers announced their 2023 Tour , in support of their two #1 studio albums that were released in 2022, Unlimited Love and Return of the Dream Canteen. Following a recent Grammy nomination for Best Rock Song for “Black Summer,” the band will embark on a 23-date global trek that kicks off on Wednesday, March 29th at BC Place in Vancouver, BC with stadium shows and festival stops across North America and Europe in Las Vegas, San Diego, Houston, Lisbon, Madrid, Vienna and more before wrapping up on Saturday, July 23rd in Glasgow, UK at Hampden Park. The Strokes, Iggy Pop, The Roots, The Mars Volta, St. Vincent, City and Colour, Thundercat, and King Princess will join the band on select dates.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers 2023 Tour comes close on the heels of the band’s largest 40-date stadium tour to date, which included massive sold-out shows in London, Paris, Los Angeles, and more.

TICKETS: Tickets go on sale starting Friday, December 9th at 10am local time at redhotchilipeppers.com .

Please note, the Red Hot Chili Peppers show originally scheduled for Summer 2022 in Glasgow, UK will now take place on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Hampden Park Stadium. Existing tickets remain valid, but will be re-issued for the new date. Limited tickets remain and will be available during the general on sale.

As a result of the two album releases this year going #1, Red Hot Chili Peppers notably stand out as the first rock band in 17 years to achieve the feat. Moreover, Return of the Dream Canteen bowed at #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart —just like its predecessor Unlimited Love did back in April. Both albums were produced by longtime collaborator and creative confidant, Rick Rubin. Plus, it reached #1 in numerous countries around the globe.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers recently took home the prestigious Global Icon Award, and delivered a show stopping performance at the MTV VMAs. Their No. 1 single “Black Summer” also won the award for Best Rock Video. This year, the band also garnered an MTV Europe Music Award nomination for Best Rock and scored three American Music Awards nominations for “Favorite Rock Artist,” “Favorite Rock Album” for Unlimited Love and “Favorite Rock Single” for “Black Summer.”

2024 might be the year of Usher. Shortly after the halftime news, Usher announced he would be releasing his ninth album Coming Home, and embarking on a worldwide tour. By the way, Usher's halftime performance at SB LVIII was a rousing success .

Red Hot Chili Peppers

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are keeping their fans fed with live shows. "The Unlimited Love Tour" started back in 2022 and continued through 2023, and the band has continued to extend it this year with an additional 16 shows. This time around, they're bringing a few special guests along, including Kid Cudi, Ice Cube, Ken Carson, and more. The Red Hot Chili Peppers will wrap the tour up on July 30th in St. Louis.

In October 2023, reggaeton star Bad Bunny announced his upcoming "Most Wanted Tour" to help promote his latest album  Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana. Bad Bunny started his North America trek on February 21st, which will run through May 26th. When he made an Instagram post promoting the tour, he made it clear saying, “If you’re not a real fan, don’t come.”

Janet Jackson

In 2023, Janet Jackson embarked on her sold-out "Together Again" tour with special guest Ludacris. Well, she’s bringing the tour back again, and this time she’s bringing Nelly along for the ride. Jackson and Nelly will trek across 35 cities including Chicago, New Orleans, Toronto, and Los Angeles.

Adele’s Las Vegas residency began back in late 2022, and her final shows in Sin City will end this year. Although tickets on Ticketmaster for her shows are currently sold out, fans can still snag tickets on secondary platforms like Vivid Seats and StubHub. While Drake recently wrapped up his joint tour with 21 Savage, this time around, he and Cole are touring cities in smaller markets. The tour will begin on February 2nd in Tampa, Fla., and end on April 16th in Denver, Co.

Foo Fighters

"The Everything or Nothing at All Tour" will kick off on July 17th in New York City and close out on August 18th in Seattle.

While 2024 marks the end of Billy Joel’s long-running Madison Square Garden residency, he’s still taking his show on the road across several stadiums. For a few of the select shows, Joel will be joined by legendary acts Sting and Stevie Nicks.

Nicki Minaj

After a five-year hiatus since her previous album Queen, Nicki Minaj returned in 2023 with her long-awaited album  Pink Friday 2. To help celebrate the new album, Minaj’s fan base (the Barbz) is in for a treat as she embarks on "The Pink Friday 2 World Tour" starting in March. Minaj is also slated to make appearances at festivals like Rolling Loud California and Dreamville.

The Rolling Stones

Even after six decades since their first U.S. tour, The Rolling Stones are still in high demand for live shows. The rock band is set to hit the road on a 16-city tour to support their latest album Hackney Diamonds. The tour will run from April 28th through July 17th.

The time has come to say farewell to Sum 41. Back in May 2023, the band announced they would be calling it quits as a group. After the release of their album Heaven :x: Hell, they announced their final shows as "Tour of the Setting Sun." Joined by special guest The Interrupters, the tour is set to take place across Asia, Europe, and North America.

In December 2023, Dreamville artist Bas released his long-awaited fourth album We Only Talk About Real S—t   When We’re F—d   Up which featured several collaborations alongside J. Cole, Amaarae, Adekunle Gold, and more. To help support the album, Bas is taking his music on the road with a 23-city North America tour. Pop singer Tate McRae has been on a hot streak in 2023. From her hit song “Greedy,” to releasing her sophomore album Think Later, to an epic  Saturday Night Live performance, it seems like McRae is ready to take her career to another level. This year, she's set to embark on the "Think Later" 2024 tour, which kicks off April 17th in Dublin, Ireland. Joining McRae as her opening acts will be charlieonnafriday and Presley Regier.

Music + concerts, music + concerts | red hot chili peppers make good in inglewood, but not everyone is happy, the los angeles-based rock band rescheduled a special show for saturday, march 2 at kia forum after dropping off kroq's almost acoustic christmas back in december..

red not chili peppers tour 2023

After having to bow out of playing KROQ 106.7/FM’s annual Almost Acoustic Christmas at Kia Forum back in December, Los Angeles rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers made good on the promise to perform specifically for those ticketholders.

Dubbed KROQ March Two Re-Do, the sold-out event at Kia Forum on Saturday, March 2 was to make up for the band’s absence alongside fellow KROQ acts The Offspring, Garbage, Cannons, Love Joy and more back on Dec. 9. 311 also stepped in when RHCP abruptly announced their departure from the bill . We later found out, during a pre-recorded video from vocalist Anthony Kiedis shown during Acoustic Christmas, it was because of guitarist John Frusciante breaking a finger.

On Saturday night, fans packed back into Kia Forum and were ready to rock out with the band, which was supported by L.A. acts Alexsucks and Irontom. Watching and listening to Frusciante, with his appendage all healed up, was worth the wait. He rejoined the band after a 10-year absence in 2019 and that change has definitely shifted the live performance as he’s a phenomenal player. He’s got the vocal chops too, which he showcased on Saturday by leading the crowd in a sing-along of Loggins and Messina’s “Danny’s Song.”

At Acoustic Christmas, fans might have gotten about 8-10 songs max since the radio festival sets are much shorter. But for the re-do, RHCP delivered a 75-minute, 15-song set that included hits like “Can’t Stop” and “Scar Tissue” at the start and wrapped with “Under the Bridge” and “Give It Away” in the encore.

The band also played some newer songs including the funky “Aquatic Mouth Dance,” off of 2022’s “Unlimited Love.” The song makes mention of Los Angeles punk rock band X , which RHCP further recognized on Saturday by starting to play a little of X’s “Los Angeles,” before launching into “Scar Tissue.” “Black Summer” is another fantastic song off of “Unlimited Love” that fit well in this set list, and “Eddie,” a tribute to the late Eddie Van Halen off of 2022’s “Return of the Dream Canteen,” was a treat as well.

Though the band could be heard pretty clearly throughout the evening, there was definitely something up with Kiedis’s vocals as they sounded  muddled, especially during the first part of the show. But by the encore, he was ripping through the lyrics to the classics like it was never an issue.

Technical glitches aside, it was a super fun show that had generations of RHCP fans dancing in their seats and out on the floor. But no one was having more fun than comedian Bert Kreischer. After getting a shout-out from the stage by KROQ morning show hosts Kevin Klein and Ally Johnson, Kreischer was spotted singing along to RHCP songs and when the camera panned over to him, of course, he took his shirt off. He’s also headlining Kia Forum for the first time as part of the Netflix is a Joke Festival on May 11 .

Though the show was a great time, things behind the scenes leading up to the concert didn’t go as swimmingly.

When it was announced that RHCP would be doing a make-up show, KROQ assured fans that they’d be able to return to see their beloved band. Fans who purchased directly from Ticketmaster received a link for the newly added show earlier this week. However, those who purchased resale tickets through third parties were instructed by KROQ to reach out to their point of purchase for options.

“Your 2023 KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas ticket is not valid on its own,” KROQ posted on Instagram on Friday, March 1 . “Only original Ticketmaster purchasers will receive a new ticket to the KROQ March Two Re-Do.”

The comments on the post were pretty brutal because the fans who bought tickets off of sites like StubHub, SeatGeek, Vivid Seats, Gametime or even Ticketmaster’s own resale option were quick to point out that originally KROQ led them to believe that all tickets would be valid for this re-do show.

“Feel like you failed us and rewarded resellers,” Instagram user kaylahugsit chimed in.

“I bought these tickets specifically for RHCP as a gift for my sister’s birthday because she’s a huge fan of @chilipeppers,” ralexisn99 wrote. “And because I bought them through a reseller I am unable to receive the tickets. This is extremely disappointing as we’ve both been looking forward to seeing RHCP play for months. Why was this event organized this way?”

KROQ had not responded further to the fans questions or demands directly on social media sites, but it seemed that several of the original ticket sellers did the right thing and forwarded on the tickets to those who had purchased them in the first place.

“Luckily the original purchaser sent us the tickets without us having to do anything,” luxkitty wrote. “If you purchased from StubHub I would call to see if they can reach the original purchaser and get you your tickets.”
