Behind the Scenes: The Allianz Travel Assistance Hotline

assistance call center

Cruise ship outbreaks. Major earthquakes. Stolen passports. Snowbound airports.

Crises like these are all in a day's work for the 22 travel experts who staff the 24-hour travel assistance hotline for Allianz Global Assistance customers. From their office in Richmond, Virginia, they solve problems for travelers all over the globe.

To us, they're an elite team of travel specialists. To our customers, they're heroes. We'll take you behind the scenes to show you how travel assistance works and get their expert travel tips.

Are you an Allianz Global Assistance customer who needs help while traveling? Call collect from anywhere in the world: 1-804-281-5700.

A day in the life of an Allianz Global Assistance hotline expert

When a call comes into the Allianz Global Assistance hotline, staff never know what they're going to hear. "Every day is different," says Kim G., an Assistance Coordinator Senior. "It just depends on what's going on in the world." She remains calm, explains exactly what she will do, and assures the traveler that she will be in touch. "Depending on where they are, you may be it ," she says. "You may be the only lifeline."

"You start to have a feel for what sorts of things to look for in cases that might go sideways," says Assistance Coordinator II Taylor Anne R. She remembers one customer who needed emergency medical transportation in a part of the world where ambulances sometimes take hours to arrive. Using her skills and contacts, Taylor Anne secured transportation in 30 minutes. "It was a good moment," she says.

The assistance coordinators do more than just field calls. Each one is responsible for a certain number of travelers' cases, so they're constantly relaying messages to family members and getting patient updates from hospitals around the globe.

Assistance Coordinator II Valerie Z. remembers one customer who, while visiting family in Europe, suffered a stroke and broke her leg. Valerie helped schedule her surgery and rehabilitation overseas, then arranged for her to travel back to the United States with a nurse. Valerie spoke with the woman's anxious daughter daily, keeping her updated on her mother's condition. It was all covered by the customer's travel insurance policy.

"To me, it was a routine case," Valerie says. "I do the exact same thing for everybody." But the daughter was so grateful that she sent Valerie flowers — a gesture she never forgot. "I feel like I connected with somebody so much," she says.

Travel tips from the Allianz Global Assistance hotline experts

The travel assistance coordinators have seen almost everything that can possibly go wrong on an overseas trip. Here are their best travel tips to help you stay safe.

  • Make sure you're covered for existing medical conditions. Nothing is more difficult than talking to a customer who's seriously ill and having to tell them their existing medical condition's not covered. "We can offer to still help them," Kim says, but without coverage, there's not much she can do.

Travel insurance from Allianz Global Assistance does cover existing medical conditions , but only if certain conditions are met . Don't leave it to chance: When purchasing travel insurance, call our insurance advisers at 1-866-884-3556 to make sure you're covered.

  • Leave copies of travel documents at home. You already know you should bring copies of your passport, credit card and insurance documents with you, but you should also leave copies with a trusted friend or family member. Also make sure that person has the information needed to send emergency funds to you overseas, just in case.
  • Put all the important stuff in your carry-on. Many people pack insulin, or other essential medications, in their checked bags — and then the bag gets lost. Medications, travel documents and a change of clothing all belong in your carry-on.
  • Notify your credit card company of your travel plans. The Allianz Global Assistance hotline team often gets calls from travelers panicking because their credit cards aren't working. This is usually because the company, unaware of the customer's travel plans, has placed a hold on the card to prevent fraud. Travel assistance staff can help, but it's easier to take care of this before you leave home.
  • Respect local culture and customs. Travelers — who are already stressed and anxious because they're dealing with a crisis overseas — sometimes forget they're no longer in the United States. They might get insulted when hospital staff ask them for a credit card or can't speak to them in English. Valerie gently reminds them that "they're in somebody else's country," where the culture, language, values and customs are different.
  • Don't put off your bucket list travel. Older travelers are more prone to injuring themselves in falls, so "it's good to travel to the more exotic places when you're young," observes Taylor Anne, whose last trip was to Ethiopia. Here are a few more tips on planning your travel bucket list .
  • Buy travel insurance. The travel assistance coordinators aren't just employees of Allianz Global Assistance — they're customers, too. Before joining Allianz Global Assistance more than 14 years ago, Kim says, "I had no idea that travel insurance was even a thing." Now, she says, buying travel insurance is the first thing she does when planning a trip with her husband. "Because life and travel both are sometimes so unpredictable. You just don't know."

Richmond-based travel writer Muriel Barrett has a terrible sense of direction , and has spent many happy hours getting lost in Barcelona, Venice and Jerusalem. Her favorite travel memories all involve wildlife: watching sea turtles nest in Costa Rica, kayaking with seals in Vancouver and meeting a pink tarantula in Martinique.

What does Allianz Travel Insurance cover?

Allianz single trip plans, allianz annual/multi-trip plans, which allianz travel insurance plan is best for me, can you buy allianz travel insurance online, what isn't covered by allianz travel insurance, is allianz travel insurance worth it.

Allianz Travel Insurance is provided by Allianz Global Assistance, an insurer that operates in 35 countries and serves 40 million customers in the U.S. The company offers several types of travel insurance plans depending on your needs.

Travel insurance will help protect you if unexpected events affect your vacation. Whether you’re looking for a comprehensive plan or emergency medical coverage only to supplement the travel insurance you have from your credit cards , Allianz Global Assistance offers plenty of options.

Allianz trip insurance plans fall into two categories: single trip and annual/multi-trip plans. We evaluated several single trip and annual/multi-trip plans to help you figure out which policy makes sense for you.

Depending on what type of coverage you’re looking for, Allianz offers several different travel insurance options. Allianz’s plan choices fall under single trip or annual/multi-trip plans.

Single trip plans are designed for individuals who are leaving their home, visiting another destination (or destinations) and returning home. These travel insurance plans are the most comprehensive and provide benefits like trip cancellation, trip interruption and medical coverage.

Annual/multi-trip plans are designed for those who like to take a lot of little trips throughout the year as well as for business travelers. Because the coverage period is longer, these plans are more expensive.

Some of these plans include medical coverage only while others also provide more comprehensive travel insurance perks. There’s coverage for business equipment as these plans are geared toward work travelers.

Allianz offers five travel insurance plans for single trips, including a plan that's mainly focused on emergency medical coverage.

The OneTrip Cancellation Plus plan is geared toward domestic travelers who are looking for trip cancellation, interruption and delay coverage but don't need post-departure benefits like emergency medical or baggage loss. This plan is Allianz’s most affordable option.

OneTrip Basic, Prime and Premier are three comprehensive travel insurance plans.

OneTrip Basic is the most economical plan and offers trip cancellation, interruption and delay benefits along with emergency medical and baggage loss.

OneTrip Prime provides all the benefits of the Basic plan but with higher limits, a few extra coverage areas and complimentary coverage for children 17 and under when traveling with a parent or grandparent.

OneTrip Premier offers the most coverage, doubling almost every post-departure limit of the Prime plan with more covered cancellation reasons.

If you don't need pre-departure trip cancellation and interruption protections or you already have coverage through a premium travel credit card , the standalone OneTrip Emergency Medical plan may be a good choice. The plan mainly provides emergency medical protections along with some baggage loss/delay benefits.

Allianz single-trip plan cost

Here's a look at the cost of an Allianz travel insurance policy for a one-week, $1,500 vacation to Croatia in August 2020 taken by a 30-year-old from Texas.

allianz travel hotline

The OneTrip Premier is the most expensive plan and provides the highest level of protection, especially for emergency medical events.

However, if you’re OK with lower limits on emergency medical, a OneTrip Prime or Basic plan could be a more appropriate choice. These costs represent a range of 3.4%-7.5% of the total cost of the trip, which is in line with typical costs of 4%-8%, according to the U.S. Travel Insurance Association.

Allianz offers four different annual/multi-trip plans.

AllTrips Basic is suitable for those who would like emergency medical coverage while abroad but don't need trip cancellation and interruption benefits. The AllTrips Prime, Executive and Premier plans provide an entire year of comprehensive travel insurance benefits.

The Executive and Premier plans offer various levels of trip cancellation and interruption benefits. The Executive plan is specifically designed for business travelers since it offers protection for business equipment.

Allianz annual/multi-trip plans cost

Let's look at an example of an annual Allianz travel insurance plan that starts in July 2020 for a 50-year-old from Illinois.

allianz travel hotline

Coverage under these plans is offered for trips up to 45 days in length.

The AllTrips Executive plan costs significantly more than the other plans; this is mainly due to higher trip cancellation coverage, emergency medical and business equipment protections. The Executive coverage amount for trip cancellation can be increased beyond what is quoted here, driving that plan's price up to as much as $785.

If you’re not concerned with pre-trip cancellation benefits and don’t need the increased level of medical coverage, the Basic plan is the most affordable option.

For trips longer than 45 days, the AllTrips Premier plan might be a better choice as it offers coverage for up to 90 days. Using the same search parameters but with 90 days of coverage per trip, the cost of the annual plan is $475.

Choosing the right plan for your trip involves understanding what type of coverage you will want while you’re abroad.

If you’re going on a trip and returning home: OneTrip Prime, Basic or Premier are good options to choose from while offering different levels of coverage.

If you’ll be going on multiple and longer trips: the AllTrips Premier plan might be best as it provides insurance benefits for trips up to 90 days in length. The remaining three annual AllTrips plans cover multiple trips, up to 45 days.

If you have a premium travel card (e.g., the Chase Sapphire Reserve® ): These cards often offer some trip cancellation and trip interruption coverage, so you may not need a plan that offers all the same coverage. In this case, getting the OneTrip Medical plan might be enough.

If the coverage provided by your card isn’t adequate, you don’t have credit card coverage or you didn’t pay for your trip with that credit card: In these instances, it's best to choose a comprehensive plan depending on how much coverage you need and for how long. Consider one of the single trip or multi-trip plans.

» Learn more: Is travel insurance worth it?

Travel insurance plans have a lot of exclusions that you need to pay attention to so you know exactly what type of coverage you’re getting. Here are some general exclusions you can expect:

High-risk activities: Skydiving, bungee jumping, heli-skiing, and other types of high-risk sporting activities that the insurer deems unsafe.

Intentional acts: Losses sustained from intoxication, drug use, self-harm and criminal activity.

Specifically designated events: Epidemics, natural disasters and war are specifically mentioned in the policy as exclusions.

It's important to note that exclusions may vary based on the policy and where you live, so it's always best to review the fine print to ensure you’re clear about what is and isn’t covered.

Allianz has been offering insurance for more than 25 years. The company is well established and offers numerous single and annual travel insurance policies to fit many different needs.

Allianz travel insurance plans offer a wide array of benefits including (but not limited to): coronavirus-related coverage, trip cancellation, interruption, emergency medical coverage and transportation, baggage loss/damage, baggage delay, travel delay, change fee coverage, loyalty program redeposit fees, 24-hour assistance and many more benefits. Each plan is different, so you’ll want to look at the specific plans you’re considering to know exactly which benefits you’ll receive.

No, Allianz doesn't offer the Cancel For Any Reason optional upgrade. Review the policy details of the Allianz plan you’re considering to ensure you’re comfortable with the list of covered reasons. For example, the loss of a job can be considered a covered reason, but wanting to cancel a trip because you’re afraid to travel isn't.

Most often, you will need to file a claim with the insurer after you’ve incurred costs. If the claim is approved, you will receive a reimbursement. In other instances (e.g., covered baggage delay), the insurer will pay you a fixed amount per day and you won’t need to submit receipts.

Allianz Global Assistance offers several good travel insurance plans to choose from. If you’re looking for a travel insurance plan for a vacation, a single-trip plan is your best bet.

If you’re a frequent traveler or take lots of business trips, a multi-trip plan could be the way to go. If you have a travel credit card, look at what travel insurance benefits you may already have so you don’t duplicate your coverage .

How to save money on travel insurance if you’re over 60.

Getting travel insurance when you're over 60 can be hard. Here's how to make it easier.

Dave Dzurick likes to play it safe when he travels, so he shops around for travel insurance. But lately, he's noticed that the policies have gotten more expensive.

"Each year past 60 seems to increase travel insurance rates," says Dzurick, a retired broadcast engineer from Tucson, Ariz.

It's not just his imagination.

"Age is the crucial underwriting factor in determining trip cancellation and medical assistance risk for the insurance provider," explains John Rose, the chief risk and security officer of ALTOUR .

Age is more important than ever in travel insurance

You would expect something like age-based pricing to be a constant in the travel insurance industry, but not necessarily. Some group travel insurance policies don't consider age. But a shift is underway.

Last year, when Travelex Insurance Services launched its new line of travel protection plans , it called out one enhancement: competitive age-band pricing, which bases its rates on each traveler’s risk level.

"We’re responding to the coverage and benefits our partners and travelers want," notes Brooke Kirby, Travelex vice president of marketing.

In other words, the rate you pay for travel insurance will be more closely aligned with your age than ever. That's good news if you're young. But if you're over 60, it can present a challenge.

Netflix Is In A Bind With 3 Body Problem Season 2

Google suddenly reveals surprise android update that beats iphone, ukraine has developed 15 kinds of long range strike drone and has sortied them against russia s oil industry, what is age-band pricing in travel insurance.

Rhonda Abedsalam, vice president of Travel Insurance at AXA Partners US , says age-band pricing is a mechanism designed to align prices with the real risks associated with each age group.

"It provides a fair and balanced approach to travel insurance," she says.

Specifically, this method offers younger travelers access to more affordable options, preventing them from bearing the brunt of a one-size-fits-all pricing strategy. She says older travelers who are looking for lower rates can choose plans offering minimal coverage for a cost-effective solution.

"We always advocate for choosing a plan that balances affordability with comprehensive coverage," she says.

That's a position the US Travel Insurance Association (USTIA) agrees with. When I asked about age-band pricing, a representative advised me that it’s important to understand the plan you are purchasing — what is and isn’t covered — and the level of medical expense and medical evacuation limits offered.

"Never purchase based on price alone," says Robert Gallagher, USTIA's president.

Your travel insurance rates may vary

Pricing travel insurance based on age makes sense, say experts.

"There's a higher risk for claims, primarily due to health concerns," explains PK Rao, CEO of INF Visitor Care .

How much more expensive? Consider medical insurance. A 65-year-old U.S. citizen, for example, might pay $9 a day for international travel insurance with a $1 million coverage limit. On the other hand, an 85-year-old American might pay $31 a day for that same insurance policy, according to Joe Cronin, CEO of International Citizens Insurance .

"Fortunately, there are more affordable options for seniors who are more budget-conscious," he says.

How to lower your travel insurance rates if you're over 60

"The easiest way to lower your costs would be to Benjamin Button it and get younger," jokes Michal Wieczorek, global client relations and intelligence specialist at Insured Nomads .

Seriously, though, he says choosing higher deductibles and lower medical maximums can cut your insurance costs. He says some insurers specialize in benefits for older travelers but cautions buyers to be careful.

"Read the fine print, because certain benefits may decrease or be eliminated above certain ages, especially things like accidental death and dismemberment and evacuation benefits," he adds.

There's a difference between retail travel insurance and group insurance, adds Dan Skilken, president of Tripinsurance.com.

"Retail travel insurance policies are price-sensitive based on age, trip cost, and the length of the trip," he says. "Commercial policies sold through cruise or major tour companies are generally not priced based on age."

In other words, sometimes older travelers can get a better price going through the cruise line or tour operator for travel insurance. But here again, buyers need to be careful, he adds, since some of those policies may lack essential coverage.

How one customer saved money on travel insurance after age 60

Dzurick says he's not deterred by the higher rates because he knows the value of travel insurance.

"For me, one way to save on travel insurance is to get a separate medical rider covering only the basics," he says.

A bare-bones policy would cover only essential items like medical care when you're abroad and emergency evacuation, but would omit some of the other features of travel insurance like coverage of lost luggage or trip interruption.

There's another method Dzurick likes. He checks with his employer-provided insurance to see if it will offer coverage.

"My former employer recently changed insurance plans for retirees, and it turns out the new policy provides coverage worldwide," he says. "So there's no need for any additional coverage."

Some travel insurance companies offer reduced coverage for older travelers. For example, INF has policy maximums up to $250,000 for policyholders who are older than 70 to ease the concerns of travelers.

"You can also take a fixed benefit option which offers lower payments, but still has evacuation benefits," notes Rao.

Cronin says there are budget-friendly options for U.S. seniors traveling outside the U.S. He likes Trawick Safe Travels USA Comprehensive Insurance and Atlas Travel Medical, both of which offer affordable options for seniors traveling to the U.S.

Another travel insurance hack: the two-policy option

Another way to get affordable coverage with a decently high policy maximum if you’ve aged out of the coverage you prefer is to purchase two travel medical insurance plans, according to James Nuttall, general manager of Insubuy .

"Each plan is considered secondary to the other, and they can share the load for claims involving large medical expenses," he explains.

For instance, a plan offering $250,000 worth of coverage may not be in the budget for your age group. But two plans offering $100,000 worth of coverage each might be.

"Just keep in mind that each plan must be from a different insurance company," he adds. "You can’t just purchase two of the same plans."

Pro tip: If you decide to go down this road, work with an experienced travel advisor who knows how two insurance policies would work together.

Other ways to save money on travel insurance if you're over 60

There are other ways to save money, according to Daniel Durazo, director of communications at Allianz Partners USA .

Consider an annual travel insurance policy

Purchasing an annual travel insurance policy can be a smart choice for those who have more than three trips planned in a year, says Durazo. Unlike a one-trip plan, an annual plan protects all of your trips in a 365-day period, which can save you money, rather than insuring each trip separately. Annual policies are sometimes offered at a flat rate, meaning your cost may not increase with age and trip cost.

Buy a plan that includes more

For example, some travel insurance policies include children at no additional charge. That includes Allianz’s OneTrip Prime and OneTrip Premier, both of which cover children aged 17 and younger when traveling with a parent or grandparent.

Focus on trip cancellation benefits for U.S. trips

Durazo says trip cancellation benefits may cover the cost of canceling your trip if you encounter a situation covered by your policy. These benefits can reimburse you for prepaid, nonrefundable trip costs if you have to cancel your trip at the last minute for a covered reason. They're among the most frequently used benefits for U.S. trips (often, medical expenses are covered by your health insurance plan).

Get a plan with post-departure benefits if you're going abroad

Post-departure benefits can kick in as soon as you begin your trip. They can include coverage for travel delays, baggage loss or damage and baggage delay, according to Durazo. It can also include emergency medical and emergency transportation benefits, which are highly recommended for overseas travel.

Age-band pricing is more pervasive than ever in travel insurance. If you're headed somewhere this summer, make sure you know all of your options before you buy a policy.

Americans Reducing Retirement Savings and Taking on Debt Due to Inflation

Allianz life study finds ongoing inflation is hampering americans ability to prepare for their financial future, but many are optimistic inflation will subside..

KEY FINDINGS:

  • 69% have not been able to contribute to their savings as much due to ongoing inflation
  • 51% have taken on more debt because of inflation
  • 67% are more concerned about paying bills than about their financial future
  • 42% have withdrawn from their retirement savings because of inflation

MINNEAPOLIS – March 26, 2024 – Ongoing inflation has set back Americans’ ability to prepare for their financial future by causing them to reduce savings, take on debt and withdraw from retirement accounts, according to the 2024 Q1 Quarterly Market Perceptions Study* from Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America ( Allianz Life ).

Americans are more focused on their present finances than setting themselves up for the future. About two in three (67%) say they are more concerned about paying bills than about their financial future. Millennials (76%) are more likely than Gen Xers (64%) or boomers (50%) to feel this way. More Hispanic respondents (79%) than Black/African American (74%), Asian/Asian American (68%), and white (63%) respondents say they are more concerned about paying bills now.

Rising cost of living stretching budgets

Inflation could be a major factor driving this short-term outlook. The majority of Americans say that the rising cost of living has caused them to reduce their savings. Nearly seven in 10 (69%) say they have not been able to contribute to their savings as much due to ongoing inflation. Millennials (74%) were more likely than Gen Xers (69%) or boomers (63%) to say they have not been able to contribute to their savings as much because of inflation.

At the same time, many Americans are dealing with rising prices by taking on debt. The majority of Americans (51%) say they have taken on more debt because of inflation. More millennials (65%) than Gen Xers (49%) or boomers (31%) said this. And, more Hispanic (61%) and Black/African American (58%) respondents say they have taken on more debt because of inflation than Asian/Asian American (53%) or white (46%) respondents.

“The rising cost of living is stretching American budgets,” said Kelly LaVigne, VP of Consumer Insights, Allianz Life. “Just because inflation has slowed doesn’t mean prices have gone down. In the short-term, it may be wise to delay any major purchases to keep saving toward your future and avoid taking on new debt.”

Withdrawing from retirement accounts to make ends meet

It is worrying for long-term financial stability that many Americans have also withdrawn from retirement accounts. More than two in five Americans (42%) say they have dipped into their retirement savings because of inflation. Hispanic respondents (59%) were more likely than Asian/Asian American (51%), Black/African American (50%) and white (39%) to have withdrawn from their retirement accounts because of inflation.

Americans optimistic about inflation

The good news is that more Americans feel optimistic about inflation – 37% say they feel good about the direction inflation is heading, up from 31% last quarter. What’s more, fewer Americans expect inflation to get worse. While 74% said they expect inflation to get worse over the next 12 months in Q4 2023, 68% said the same in Q1 2024. This is the lowest percentage expecting inflation to get worse since 2021.

“Inflation isn’t going anywhere – over time the cost of living always goes up – it’s just a matter of how much and how fast,” LaVigne said. “You need a long-term plan for how to address inflation and make financial decisions on behalf of your future self. A financial professional can help you develop a strategy to manage inflation now and set you up for a strong financial future.”

*Allianz Life conducted an online survey, the 2024 Q1 Quarterly Market Perceptions Study in February 2024 with a nationally representative sample of 1,005 Respondents age 18+. The study included an oversample of respondents who identified as Black/African American (272 responses); Hispanic (291 responses); Asian/Asian American (279 responses).

Another vestige of carlson travel empire sold, this one to amex spinoff for $570m.

Minneapolis-based CWT, a business travel and meeting management firm that was part of a prominent Minnesota family's business legacy, will sell to rival American Express Global Business Travel for $570 million, the companies announced Monday.

The merger, which should close in the latter half of this year, blends two of the biggest corporate travel entities. CWT, formerly Carlson Wagonlit Travel, started in its current form in the mid-1990s and touts 4,000 customers with a projected revenue of approximately $850 million this year. American Express spun off its global business travel (GBT) sector as a joint venture with an investor group in 2014, and GBT has rapidly grown through various mergers and acquisitions since.

CWT was not reachable for comment, including on if its global headquarters will remain in the state, if this will affect any jobs or if the CWT name will survive.

American Express said the deal means CWT customers will have access to its proprietary software and services.

"Joining forces with Amex GBT helps accelerate our vision of a tech-enabled future for business travel, where people and technology combine to deliver an exceptional customer experience," said Patrick Andersen, CEO of CWT, in a statement. "We are highly confident in the value creation of the combined company."

The privately held CWT — which investment funds like Redwood Capital Management, Monarch Alternative Capital and others own — will now be part of the public GBT, which debuted on the New York Stock Exchange in 2022. That came at a time when corporate travel was still in a precarious state after grinding to a halt in 2020 because of the pandemic.

Business travel still hasn't fully recovered to 2019 levels in terms of volume or spending, but that milestone could hit as soon as by the end of this year. So Jose Ferreira, owner of Coon Rapids-based Riverdale Travel, said this deal is timed for growth.

"For corporate travelers, I would say that service levels are going to improve," Ferreira said. "Both of these companies are still recovering from the pandemic."

Curt Carlson, namesake of the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management, started his family's business empire during the Great Depression, eventually venturing into the travel industry about 30 years later.

In 2021, the family gave up its ownership stake in Carlson Travel Inc. and its many related companies, including CWT, after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the business into bankruptcy. The family has also offloaded some of its large portfolio of hotels, including selling the Radisson Hotel Group Americas for $675 million to Choice Hotels International in 2022.

Our classic tours include tours of Moscow and Saint Petersburg, two main Russian cities.

Moscow is a big and busy  megalopolis and Russia’s capital city, where more than 12 million people live and work. Our capital city is happening place; it is mysterious, elegant, luxurious, fashionable, clean and bright, with its unique legends, traditions and events. It is with great pride that we show the Red Square and the Kremlin, our Underground and Tretyakovskaya Gallery, among other stunning attractions.

Saint Petersburg is our second capital,  the second largest city in the Russian Federation. This wonderful city has a strong and lively aristocratic spirit, uniquely Russian royal architecture, magnificent museums and theatres. Saint Petersburg bears the royal heritage of Russia, which can be felt in its air, its streets, parks, monuments, museums and citizens.  In Saint Petersburg tours, we will take you to the Hermitage, Peter and Paul Fortress, Faberge Museum and Orthodox Cathedrals. We’re sure you will love it!

If you have a few more days to spare, venture into the dreamy Russian countryside in Suzdal or Sergiev Posad. Suzdal is a small town with a population of about ten thousand people, situated on less than 15 square kilometres. This tiny area is home to 53 historic cathedrals, five monasteries and a kremlin. Church domes are visible like mushrooms from anywhere and everywhere in the town like in a fairy tale. No wonder Suzdal is called the ‘Town Museum”.  It is definitely worth visiting!

Just try any of Visit Moscow Tours’ tour packages or any individual city tour, and we promise that you will want to come back to Russia again.  Russia is huge with countless amazing places to visit.
