Kristine’s Merry Moscow Mule Recipe Made with Spirits from Eau Claire Distillery

The holiday season is underway, which means that in addition to hustling and bustling; we’re eating and drinking. My hubby and I love to entertain and we always have a few of our friends stopping by during the holiday season, which means that MUST be prepared with creative cocktails. We just discovered a yummy holiday-themed cocktail made with Prickly Pear EquineOx by Eau Claire Distillery. Enter my new favorite—the Merry Moscow Mule. It’s perfect for those happy holiday get-togethers.

* Complimentary product received for review. You must be 21 or over to consume alcohol. Please drink responsibly this holiday season.

Eau Claire Distillery

I was recently given a sample of award-winning craft spirits from Eau Claire Distillery, which is a Canadian distillery that provides premier farm-to-glass spirits. I tried out the Parlour Gin and Prickly Pear EquineOx from this company and both were smooth and made delightful cocktails.

Eau Claire uses traditional farming methods to farm its grain, with help from 30 teams of draft horses and antique farm equipment. The distillery is fully integrated, using the best industry equipment that allows its three master distillers to produce the highest quality craft spirits straight from the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and the best barley-growing region in the world.

As I mentioned above, I made what I have deemed the Merry Moscow Mule. I created the drink with the Eau Claire The Prickly Pear EquineOx, which is a sweet, barley based alternative to gin or vodka that can be served on ice or enjoy it as a complement to your favorite cocktail. I took the Eau Claire Moscow Mule recipe and gave it my own twist. Instead of the copper mug and ice, I served it in a holiday martini glass with a slice of lime, no ice and added some pomegranate seeds (not pictured) as well.

Kristine’s Merry Moscow Mule Recipe

Here’s the recipe:

Kristine’s Merry Moscow Mule Recipe

1/2 oz. fresh lime juice 2 oz. Prickly Pear EquineOx 6 oz. ginger beer

Pour the EquineOx and lime juice into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Strain into martini glass and top off with the ginger beer. Garnish with the lime wedge and add a few pomegranate seeds into the glass for added color.

If you are a fan of gin, definitely give the Parlour Gin a try. It’s a London-dry style gin, which means that it augments more traditional gin botanicals creating a juniper berry induced dryness, but with unique hints of rosehip, Saskatoon berry, coriander, lemon, orange, mint and spice. It is dry with a smooth, texture and is infused with a selection of special botanicals that give it a unique flavor.

Holiday Spirits from Eau Claire Distillery

Here’s a holiday-themed recipe from Eau Claire that you can impress your friends with:

Frosty Lady Recipe

1 oz Parlour Gin .5 oz Triple Sec .5 oz Lemon Juice .5 oz Simple Syrup .5 oz Egg White

Mix together in a cocktail shaker and garnish with rose petals.

The Eau Claire spirits are now available in New York, Chicago, California and at establishments throughout Florida. You can also search for a specific retailer, bar, or restaurant that carries Eau Claire Distillery products on the company’s website. You can connect with the company on Facebook too.

I’d like the Merry Moscow Mule. Good addition of the pomegranate seeds for color.

My husband and I love a good Moscow Mule! It is so refreshing and just makes the soul happy and fulfilled. However, this Frosty Lady recipe looks tasty too.

Hi all TA Expert,

Cristall Vodka Distillery:

Is the tour to Cristall Vodka Distillery worth going? I can't seen to find much infor of it on TA forum. Many tour agency website wrote that it's not open to public and have to go through them for the tour (and they all charge differently) How about the Vodka Museum?

Bolshoi Theater:

Most of the performance are pretty costly, do they conduct a tour into the theater or purchasing a performance is the only way we can get in to admire the structure?

Thanks in advance for your advises!

' class=

Bolshoi: pls read the FAQ:

http://www.tripadvisor.com/Travel-g294459-c191135/Russia:Visiting.The.Bolshoi.Theatre.html

I recently went to the Cristall Vodka Museum/Distillery and enjoyed it. The tour is in Russian so you will need a guide to translate. Also, our guide required a minimum of 10 people and it is costly. You will get to try 10 different vodkas all made by Cristall. Included in the price is a full spread of meats, cheeses, pickles and other finger foods.

  • JeffKuptchuck 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles This is definitely a unique experience After looking at all of the big cathedrals in Moscow and being rather overwhelmed this was a much more intimate and personal experience. It was great to be able to be there by ourselves and the monk that showed us around and Anton both were obviously very passionate about the monastery so you were able to understand much better what the various churches and icons meant to them The view from the bell tower was awesome even if the climb up took some faith! Dinner was very good except for my wife who doesn't like fish and that is all they eat at the monastery besides vegetables, but still very unique dinner. Read more Written February 9, 2020

  • TanechkaVas 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles The whole day tour to Zvenigorod, the country side of Moscow, with Anton. We organized that tour from Australia well ahead of time, planning to visit Zvenigorod with big group of extended family and friends with teens as part of our New Year trip to Moscow. The communication with Anton, our guide, was excellent during the time since booking till the excursion day. The actual day was organized very good, taken into account mixed group of adults, born in USSR and kids, born in Australia. Anton organized our activities to be suitable for all of us. As adults, we were enjoyed country side during winter and Monastery's quietness and ability to jump to the cold "holy" water at one of the oldest Monasteries of Russia - Savva Storoghevskiy Man Monastery. That was the most amazing and nearly magical experience! Kids were enjoyed of snow and treats Anton provide for us, including buisquits and Sbiten'. We also visited very interesting Museum of Russian desserts and learn a lot about ancient russian sweets; have a look on our past in the Museum of USSR and bought some yammie things to enjoy later. In general we all agree that our tour to Zvenigorod with Anton was enjoyable and educational; well organized and unforgettable. We wish we would have more time there! We would recommend such trip to everyone wishing to see Russia's country side. Read more Written January 17, 2020
