Northern Arizona University (NAU) Campus Recreation is a vibrant, diverse and inclusive department that empowers individuals to embrace a lifestyle of physical, emotional and social wellness.

Description of Facility(s)

Indoor facility  .

Located in the Health and Learning Center, our Recreation Center is the heart of student activity. The Rec provides many opportunities for students to stay active from our scheduled programs to informal recreation. Our weight room was renovated in June of 2023 with brand-new Matrix equipment.

Through student feedback, we made changes to give students more of the equipment they wanted and maximize the space we have. In addition to the main weight room, we have pockets of workout areas for students to participate in their individual workouts all outfitted with new equipment as of June. Along with spaces for workouts, we have two wood basketball/volleyball courts and a MAC Gym where we can hold three volleyball games, two basketball games or one indoor soccer game. Our facility holds three multipurpose fitness studios, one of the only indoor tracks in the city of Flagstaff, an outdoor courtyard for functional movement, and a wellness suite for our mindfulness-based programming.

Outdoor Fields

The South Campus Recreation Fields Complex was opened in Fall 2009 and features two fully lit artificial turf fields to accommodate soccer, lacrosse, rugby, flag football, softball and open recreation. The complex also features two sand volleyball courts and an 18-hole disc golf course adjacent to the fields. NAU also has the Observatory Field Complex, which was opened in Spring 2014. These fields feature a natural grass and artificial turf field to accommodate soccer, ultimate frisbee, quidditch and open recreation .

Programming

Group fitness/personal training  .

The group fitness program provides a variety of fitness classes at no extra cost for the NAU community including yoga, cycling, Zumba, Pilates, kickboxing and more. Our certified instructors guide participants through safe and enjoyable workouts, and all equipment is provided. We recently converted one of our racquetball courts into a space dedicated to personal training. Now participants can work out one-on-one while being in a private, judgment-free space.

Northern Arizona University

Intramural Sports

Intramural sports are a great way for students to stay active and competitive while also building friendships. We offer four seasons in the academic year. Each semester has one indoor and one outdoor season. Some of the sports we offer are basketball, dodgeball, flag football, wallyball, cornhole and more. We also offer One Day tournaments such as a three-point contest or a ping pong tournament.

Sports Clubs

NAU currently has 27 sports clubs, and new clubs are created every semester. Many of the clubs here at NAU date back to the early 70s, founded by professors and students. The majority of clubs play home games here on campus, allowing for the NAU students to attend and see their peers at play. Some of our clubs include men’s and women’s soccer, lacrosse, rugby, ultimate frisbee, racquetball, tennis, ice hockey, volleyball, rodeo, logging sports, and more

Outdoor Adventures

Outdoor Adventures runs trips almost every weekend. Because of our proximity to nature, we’re able to show students places such as the Grand Canyon and other amazing locations. NAU has a 38-foot tall climbing wall with options for both top rope and bouldering. Campus Recreation has both an outdoor and indoor challenge course to facilitate team building all year long. Outdoor Adventures also rents gear like backpacks, sleeping bags, tents, paddleboards and more. Students can explore the area on their own terms without needing to purchase their own gear.

Northern Arizona University

  • NAU is the highest elevation four-year college in the country.
  • Our disk golf course was recently renovated and was featured in the Professional Disc Golf Association World Tournament in July 2023.
  • NAU is the closest university to the Grand Canyon, a natural wonder of the world. Outdoor Adventures runs approximately 15 trips at the Grand Canyon per year.
  • NAU has an observatory on campus where students can admire the solar system.
  • In Flagstaff, recreation goes far beyond our student population. Athletes travel from all over the world to train in our facilities at a high elevation.

Explore NAU ‘your way’ with new virtual tour

NAU union in the snow

Northern Arizona University’s scenic mountain campus provides a picturesque backdrop to study, work and play.

NAU union

NAU, in partnership with YouVisit , has produced an interactive, digital tour of the Flagstaff campus that showcases the university, academics, student life and Lumberjack culture.

David Dollins , director of Recruitment and Orientation, said the tour allows the university to reach students and families in a new and innovative way. “While we incorporate pictures of campus in our materials and presentations, the virtual tour is an immersive experience that engages students through photography as well as 360-degree panoramas and videos,” he said. “Not to mention we have a lot of students interested in NAU from far-away states such as Hawaii and Alaska, where it may be cost-prohibitive to travel to campus.”

The tour includes 20 featured stops that are a mix of social, academic and natural spaces. Since the virtual tour launched in July, more than 6,000 people from 49 states and 24 countries have taken it.

Dollins said the best part of the tour is that it allows everyone access to NAU’s Flagstaff campus. “The tour is not intended just for undergraduate students,” he said. “It can also engage alumni, international students, graduate students and others interested in seeing what our beautiful campus looks like.”

Inside Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Life Together During Her Tour Break: ‘They’re Focused on Rest’

preview for Taylor Swift’s Iconic Career Evolution

“They’re focused on rest and recuperation and relaxing at home and having low-key and chill time together,” the insider said. “They are enjoying movie nights in her home theater, catching up on films and shows they’ve missed.”

Seeing loved ones is also a priority. “They can finally rest and intend on spending quality time together and with friends and family,” the source continued, adding that Swift is a fan of hosting “small, intimate gatherings” at her houses.

Going forward, once their careers start back up, Kelce and Swift want to schedule their projects so that “they can see each other as much as possible,” the source said. “They don’t want to spend too much time apart.”

They may also plan a getaway, the source said: “Toward the end of the month they’re still talking about going on a private vacation where no one can find them before her new album drops.” That album, The Tortured Poets Department , comes out on April 19.

Swift and Kelce have been in Los Angeles this week. While Kelce has been photographed out , Swift hasn’t. British Vogue reported the couple attended Madonna’s ultra private Oscar after-party on Sunday, which has a no-photo policy.

Us Weekly ’s update follows Entertainment Tonight ’s report earlier this week. An insider spoke to ET about how smitten Swift is with Kelce. “[She’s] happier than ever and so in love,” they said. “She likes that Travis is so proud of her and that he isn’t afraid to show his love for her publicly. She is in a great place and having the best time performing, making music, and feeling free to live her life more openly. Travis is enjoying being on tour with Taylor and is happy to support her.”

In regards to their future, “Taylor views Travis as a true partner and someone she can have a real future with,” the source finished.

How to watch ‘taylor swift: the eras tour’: time, disney+ streaming bundle.

Taylor Swift holding guitar and making heart hand gesture on the Eras Tour.

Baby, let the games begin.

Starting tonight, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)” will be available to stream exclusively on Disney+ .

Just three days after the surprise announcement of her upcoming 11th album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” Swift surprised fans with another announcement — the “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)” concert film would be heading to Disney+ in just a few short weeks.

It follows a digital release on rental platforms like Prime Video, but the film has since been pulled from those retailers in advance of this Disney+ release.

The movie broke records during its October theatrical run, becoming the highest worldwide-grossing concert/documentary film ever ; it’s only fitting, considering the tour itself is the first concert tour to gross over $1 billion.

Below, we’ve compiled everything you need to know about “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” from release time to why we’re calling this one “Taylor’s Version.”

When will ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ be on Disney+?

While originally announced to debut on Friday, March 15, Swift took to Instagram to reveal that the release date had moved up to Thursday, March 14 (that’s today!).

What time does ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ premiere on Disney+?

“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” premieres on Disney+ at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

How to watch ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ on Disney+:

Since “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” is streaming exclusively on Disney+ , you’ll need a subscription to the streaming service to tune in.

Disney+ starts at $7.99/month for ad-supported streaming, but there are a variety of bundles available to add more services at a discount. These bundles start at $9.99/month for Disney+ and Hulu, both with ads, and run up to $24.99/month for ad-free Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+.

If you want just Disney+ ad-free, it’ll cost $13.99/month.

Can I watch ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ for free?

Taylor Swift performing on stage with a group of women.

Unfortunately, Disney+ does not offer a free trial, so you won’t be able to stream ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ for free.

What makes this version of ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ “Taylor’s Version?”

Put simply? It’s just more songs.

When “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” was initially released in theaters, the film omitted four songs from the core setlist, and another four “surprise songs” filmed over the course of three nights (only two surprise songs made the theatrical cut).

For Swift’s birthday in December 2023, an updated cut of the film that included “Wildest Dreams,” “Long Live,” and “The Archer” was released in theaters.

Now, “Taylor’s Version” hits Disney+ with the three new songs from the birthday cut, plus the final original cut song, “Cardigan,” and the four omitted surprise songs from the acoustic sets: “Maroon,” “I Can See You,” “You Are in Love,” and “Death By A Thousand Cuts.”

How long is ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ movie?

Per Disney+ , “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)” has a run time of 3 hours and 31 minutes. That’s about 40 minutes longer than the theatrical cut that ran 2 hours and 49 minutes.

Will ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ be on Netflix?

No, it will not be, but we understand why you might think it will be — “Reputation Stadium Tour” and “Miss Americana” were both released on Netflix, after all.

When Disney+ won the bidding war to stream “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” they did so by scoring exclusive rights to the concert film, meaning Disney+ is the only streamer that’ll carry it (and when you’re done, you can check out “Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions,” also streaming exclusively at the House of Mouse).

Can I still catch Taylor Swift live on the Eras Tour?

You sure can ! Tickets are available on Vivid Seats for every remaining show of the tour, from the next leg, which picks up in Paris on May 9, to American gigs in Miami, New Orleans, and Indianapolis later this year.

Russia Moscow Tour

Day 1 Panoramic city tour

Welcome to the glorious capital of Russia, Moscow! You’ll be met by your driver at the airport and taken to your centrally located hotel.

After check-in and rest, meet your private guide at the hotel lobby for a comprehensive tour of Moscow by car. Visit the starkly contrasting Theatre Square to see the stunning Bolshoi Theatre, pass Tverskaya Street, the city’s main boulevard and home to the landmark Yeleseyevskiy Grocery Store.

You’ll enjoy a panoramic drive along the Moskva River, where a huge, controversial state of Peter the Great was erected. Pass by the legendary Gorky Park and the White House before a stop at the architecturally stunning Novodevichy Convent, and the observation platform at Sparrow Hills, for a bird’s eye view over this staggering megalopolis.

Day 2 Red Square and Kremlin

After breakfast at the hotel, your guide will take you on a walking tour of the historical city centre. Stroll through the Red Square, the hub of cultural life in Moscow, with its elaborate ‘stone flower’ fountain and fantasy-like St Basil’s Cathedral – a postcard-perfect symbol of the nation. Admire the grandiose façade of GUM, the city’s most luxurious shopping centre, and visit Alexander’s Garden, with its eternal flame and the chance to watch a changing of the guards.

Break for lunch before continuing on a tour of the Kremlin and Armoury Chamber, famous of its collection of tsarist fashion, with regalia such as jewel-encrusted crowns, orbs and sceptres as well as arms and armour, exotic gifts from the leaders of faraway lands, and an illustrious case of Imperial Faberge eggs.

As an option* spend an evening on a sumptuous dinner cruise, taking in the stunning sights and city lights of this mesmerising metropolis by night.

Day 3 Metro and Arbat Street

Start a day with a tour of Metro, stopping on the way to marvel at some of the most elaborately decorated stations of the world-famous Moscow subway system. Take a stroll along Old Arbat street - the most famous street in Moscow. Through the centuries Arbat used to be one of the most bohemian places in Moscow. Today Arbat is a promenade full of small cozy cafes and street life.

The afternoon is free for you to either enjoy the rest of the day on your own or choose among optional excursions to explore more of Moscow. Visit the Tretyakov Gallery or Pushkin State Museum to admire Russian art. Join locals for a stroll at the Gorky or VDNH park.

Visit beautiful Kolomeskoye Estate or Izmailovo Kremlin, or spend a day exploring the beautiful city of the Golden Ring (Russian province) - Sergiev Posad. In the evening you will be transferred to the airport for your departure to your next destination.
