Richard Marx has been a recording artist and powerhouse of the songwriting world for almost 40 years. A true multi-talented performer, he’s written for the likes of Barbra Streisand, Kenny Rogers, Michael Bolton and Celine Dion, and scored 14 No.1 singles as both a performer and songwriter/producer. Having sold over 30 million albums, his latest release, Songwriter , features pop, rock and country songs, as well as five beautiful ballads – a celebration of the versatility and ambition that he’s displayed throughout his career.

The new album also saw Richard work alongside various music superstars, writing tracks with Keith Urban, Chris Daughtry, David Hodges, Darius Rucker and the legendary Burt Bacharach – an experience he considers “one of the greatest thrills of [his] life”.

Songwriter is another chapter in not only a long and illustrious career, but the latest project in a recent flurry of creative endeavours. In February 2020, Richard released Limitless, an album which spawned a top 15 single. In 2021, Richard’s memoir, Stories to Tell became a national bestseller.

A VIP ticket includes: One of the best seats in the house at the front of the stalls, plus a post-show meet and greet with Richard including an autograph and personalised photo opportunity. This is at the artist’s discretion and is subject to cancellation upon which the premium would be refunded and the price of the ticket reverts back to standard.

Tickets for this event include a £1 venue restoration levy, included in the ticket price. This fee supports building investment at the Grade II-listed Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.

Saw Richard Marx on his first ever tour n just a month ago. Everything about him improved. Fantastic show. Got to meet him after. He is an amazing singer, songwriter, showman n human. Drove 3 hours to see him n he wad worth every mile n minute.

The concert was awesome. I love Richard Mark and his singing. It is beautiful. He told stories and jokes. I really loved when he sang unplugged. He engaged the audience. I could have listened to him sing all night long. I will definitely go again to see him in concert.

Amazing performance as always! He was sick and had a high fever but still managed to perform. His voice was great and he even told jokes. He and Rick Springfield were wonderful. They sang a couple of songs together at the end. It was a wonderful evening! I just wish it lasted a little longer. This is a must see tour!

Richard Marx Announces ‘The Songwriter Tour’ For 2023

30 years on from his first of many visits to the country, US singer-songwriter Richard Marx has announced an upcoming Australian tour. Scheduled for February and March 2023, it will be Marx’s first local trek since December 2018.

Kicking off with his first-ever shows in New Zealand, Marx will cross the Tasman soon after for shows in Brisbane ,Tweed Heads, Newcastle, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, Wollongong, Penrith, and Perth. “I couldn’t be more excited to return to my home away from home, Australia, to perform for the fans once again,” Marx said in a statement.

Richard Marx – ‘Right Here Waiting’

Launching his music career as a teenager, Marx’s breakthrough came in 1987 with the release of his self-titled debut album. Since then, he’s sold more than 30 million albums and released several enduring singles, including ‘Right Here Waiting’, ‘Hazard’, ‘Should’ve Known Better’, and ‘Endless Summer Nights’.

News of Marx’s latest Australian tour coincides with the release of his 13th studio album,  Songwriter . Comprising 20 tracks, the record is neatly divided into various genres, with each block of five songs showcasing his proficiency in the pop, rock, country, and balladry.
