Ghaziabad is a city in the state of Uttar Pradesh known popularly as the ‘ Gateway to UP ’ because of its closeness to the National capital, New Delhi. It is part of the National Capital region of Delhi and is a planned industrial city. The river Hindon runs through the city and there have been excavations around the place that have been linked to the existence of civilizations in Ghaziabad and adjoining areas as early as 2500 BC. Dadri is located around 19 km from Ghaziabad and has the world’s largest power project. Dadri is located at an elevation of 216 m. Dasna is 10km from the city of Ghaziabad. It was set up by the Rajput king, Salarsi. Dadri’s National Thermal Power Corporation operates the world’s largest power plant at 216 m. The power plant generates 1670 MW, 840 of which originate from the coal-fired steam plant and 830 from gas-fired units. 

Dadri is known for more than just these industrial plants. In 1857, Raja Umrao Singh and some other chieftains fought against the British but were soon put to death.

Dasna is a small town in Uttar Pradesh. It is in the district of Ghaziabad. 

King Salarsri, a Rajput king, built the town in the day. There is a lot of history in this town. 

It is said that King Salarsri had leprosy and had to go to the town of Dasna to get treated. As soon as he moved into the town, the beauty of the River Ganga and its water captivated him.
