Claptone, JAUZ, Markus Schulz, and Nora En Pure are set to headline the upcoming edition of Groove Cruise Miami.

Groove Cruise has solidified its place at the top of the scene since first setting sail nearly two decades ago. Over the years, Whet Travel has offered trips out of cities like San Diego , Los Angeles , Orlando , and more, but their flagship home has always centered on Miami , and now it’s set to make a triumphant return in 2023. The upcoming sailing of Groove Cruise Miami will take place on January 19-23 and see GCFam experience non-stop music, activities, and more aboard the Celebrity Summit .

From the moment GCFam boards the ship until the very last moment once it has docked back in port, there will be 96 hours of music that will boom through the floating festival’s speakers. This year’s edition of Groove Cruise Miami carries on with their tradition of bringing a banging lineup along with them and is set to feature headlining sets from the likes of Claptone , JAUZ , Markus Schulz , and Nora En Pure .

That’s just a taste of the artists that are set to take the stage on Groove Cruise Miami this year as the undercard is teeming with talented DJs as well. There’s a dynamic range of artists set to play that include everyone from Blastoyz and Matroda to Gioli & Assia and Habstrakt just under the top line, and even more in store from there.

House lovers will surely be getting down to the sounds from Cloonee , Chapter & Verse , Casmalia , Truth X Lies , Nostalgix , and Ranger Trucco , while Paraleven will bring his progressive style along with him. Techno will boom from the ship’s speakers when artists like Declan James and Speaker Honey take the stage, while Anjunafamily members on board will surely want to catch Genix and Grum when they dominate the decks. And those on the hunt for some trance won’t want to miss out on Ciaran McAuley , Chris Schweizer , Kristina Sky , and Niko Zografos , among others.

Beyond the lineup there will be plenty of experiences for GCFam to take part in during the upcoming sailing. Groove Cruise Miami will feature a plethora of activities, and it is also set to dock in Labadee , a private paradise in Haiti that offers everything ranging from the world’s largest zipline to their renowned Dragon’s Tail roller coaster.

In many cultures the ocean is one of the primary factors that made life possible on earth. Sending off the departed into the ocean symbolizes the end of physical life and the beginning of spiritual rebirth. With the written notes to your loved one, this allows all present to participate and share in this moving experience. It symbolizes a farewell and an opportunity for closure and healing.”

2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational leaderboard, grades: Scottie Scheffler cruises as putter finally comes alive

Scheffler found his groove on the greens as the world no. 1 secured the five-stroke victory on sunday.

You know the phrase by now because it has been uttered ad nauseam over the last year: If Scottie Scheffler make putts, he will win . Well, this week at Bay Hill Club & Lodge, Scheffler did just that. The world No. 1 was a class above the rest at the 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational, finishing the tournament at 15 under for a five-stroke victory over Wyndham Clark.

Scheffler's triumph marks his second in the last three years at Bay Hill and his first on the PGA Tour since the 2023 Players Championship, a title he is set to defend next week. Since raising the trophy at TPC Sawgrass, Scheffler has displayed a level of consistency not seen in the golf world in quite some time.

During his 19-tournament winless drought on the PGA Tour, Scheffler collected 15 top-10 finishes, seven of which saw him finish on the podium. The tee-to-green numbers were baffling -- and continue to be -- but it was almost equally as stunning the Texan did not collect a trophy during this span as his putter often held him back.

"I was just sticking to my process," said Scheffler. "I had a good couple off weeks at home. I had a good time with friends and family and kind of reset. Going into this week, I tried to have a good attitude and Teddy [Scott] I think did a really good job of keeping me in a good headspace and, yeah, we played well."

After finding himself as many as five strokes adrift in the third round, Scheffler battled back thanks in part to some timely putting and began the final round in a share of the lead with Shane Lowry. Clark added a birdie on No. 1 to make the twosome at the top a trio, but that is as close as Scheffler would let his competitors get as his newly introduced mallet putter transformed a glaring weakness into a scary proposition for the field.

A birdie from 12 feet on the first hole set the tone for the day, and the gap turned into a two-stroke lead when Lowry dropped a shot on the opener and Clark did the same up ahead on the par-3 2nd.

The reigning U.S. Open champion seesawed with numerous exchanges of birdies and bogeys while Scheffler remained his steady self. A conversion from 7 feet on the dangerous par-5 6th added Scheffler's second birdie of the day before another nice putt from just inside 8 feet allowed him to remain at 2 under on the round and 11 under for the tournament.

A third bogey from Clark on No. 9 dropped him to even par as he made the turn. Of those who started Sunday inside the top 10, Clark was one of two players to not card an over-par opening nine. The problem was Scheffler was the other, and he was only getting started.

After turning in 2-under 34, the 27-year-old tacked on birdies on Nos. 10-11 to push his lead to five. It was enough to put this tournament on ice as Scheffler strolled through the back nine with five pars and two more birdies for good measure to cap off a final-round 66 that clipped the field average by more than seven strokes.

Contending in spite of his putter over the last year, Scheffler slipped on his second red cardigan this week because of that very club. Called upon countless times over the weekend -- Scheffler gained +1.50 strokes putting on Saturday, four more on Sunday and didn't miss inside 15 feet in Round 4 -- the mallet shined and gave the top player in the game another tool at his disposal.

The only player to navigate Bay Hill in a bogey-free fashion Sunday, Scheffler once again displayed that when he has all aspects of his game firing -- even that pesky putter -- there is no one in the world who can extinguish him. Grade: A+

Here is the breakdown for the rest of the leaderboard at the 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational.

T4. Will Zalatoris (-7): I thought on Saturday that you could make him the Masters favorite, and I would have zero problems with it. Obviously, Scheffler took that off the table, but the point with Zalatoris is that he's way ahead of schedule, at least in my mind, in terms of where I thought he might be at this point in his return from back surgery. He's a real threat at every big event and every difficult golf course, and if he's, say, longer than 10-1 to win Augusta, that's something people should probably consider. Grade: A

T13. Justin Thomas (-3):  Thomas was good all week just as he has been all year. He's striking the ball consistently well (although he does have a bit of a left miss going right now), and only five bogeys over his last eight holes kept him from a top-five finish here. Following a one-off missed cut at Riviera, this is (somewhat quietly!) his fourth top-12 finish in five starts. Grade: B+

T21. Rory McIlroy (-1): What a weird week for McIlroy, who got within a few of the lead at one point on Saturday. He drove it like he's been driving it all year, but he nearly finished last in approach play, which marks the third time in four PGA Tour starts where his approach play has lacked.

  • Pebble: 14th in driving | 76th in approach (of 80) (two measured rounds)
  • Riviera: 1st | 36th
  • PGA National: 1st | 31st
  • Bay Hill: 1st | 55th (of 58)

Is it a concern? I don't know. He drives it well enough to mostly make up for it, but it's something to keep an eye on going into the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass next week. Grade: B-

MC. Collin Morikawa (+6): I don't know that there's cause for concern here, but Morikawa has missed two of his last four events going into the Players Championship next week. One of his calling cards when he first joined the Tour was his consistency from week to week. That may not have been correct. He actually appears to be somebody whose ceiling is quite high but might also have a low floor. There's nothing wrong with this, of course, and all things considered, it is probably preferable if your goal is winning high-level events. It's just not who I necessarily thought he was going to be. Grade: F

Five clear with four to go

Some nice pars on a couple tough holes have Scottie Scheffler five clear of the field with four holes to play. He currently ranks second in the field in strokes gained putting for the day and sixth for the week. Combined with leading in strokes gained tee-to-green and you get Scottie Scheffler in a rout.

The Iron Scheff

Scheffler goes five clear.

The putter is hummin' and the rest of the field has zero chance. Another birdie on No. 11 marks Scheffler's second straight to begin his back nine and his lead is stretched to five. This has been a masterclass. Scheffler is the only player from the final handful of groups to be under par (and he's 4 under!!!).

Don't let this blowout distract you from Jordan Spieth doing Jordan Spieth things.

Scheffler makes the turn with a three-stroke lead

Birdie putts on Nos. 8-9 fall a few revolutions short and lead to pars for the world No. 1. He is one of two players not to make a bogey today and he heads to the final nine with a three-stroke lead at 11 under over Wyndham Clark. Shane Lowry finally got a putt to drop on the 9th as he is four back in solo third at 7 under.

The SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule splashed down at 5:48 a.m. ET on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 to end a six-month mission.

Four people of NASA's Crew-7 mission streaked across the Midwest and Southern U.S. in the pre-dawn hours Tuesday with a successful and fiery return to Earth.

The SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule could be seen by people who looked up and watched it zip across the darkened sky.

Over the course of an hour, the capsule went from 17,500 mph in orbit and plunged through the atmosphere to bleed off speed. It came to a gentle splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico under a canopy of parachutes off Pensacola, Fla. capping six months aboard the International Space Station.

The crew was made up of mission commander and NASA astronaut Jasmin Moghbeli , the European Space Agency's Andreas Mogensen , Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's Satoshi Furukawa and Russian cosmonaut Konstantin Borisov .

It was the first trip to space for Moghbeli and Borisov. Furukawa and Mogensen completed their second spaceflights.

The crew on the science and research mission conducted more than 200 experiments. According to NASA , these included studying blood samples that, for the first time, allowed researchers to monitor the impact of spaceflight on immune function during the flight. Previously, this could only be studied before and after a mission.

The crew also spent time testing special membranes designed to eliminate contaminants from wastewater. As NASA and others plan to send humans deeper into space, having a way to filter and reuse water is critical to the success of long-range missions.

They were relieved by members of the Crew-8 mission which launched on a SpaceX rocket to the I.S.S. last week . The Crew-8 team will spend the next half-year aboard the orbital outpost. The rotation is part of NASA's Commercial Crew program . After the shuttle fleet retired in 2011, the agency pays commercial companies to fly people to and from the space station .

The next NASA mission to the I.S.S. is scheduled to be the first human flight of Boeing's long-delayed Starliner capsule . It's scheduled for a two-week test mission with a pair of astronauts aboard in May.

Moscow wants 'hard evidence' missile in Poland was Russian before giving explanation

Moscow is not going to give an explanation for the missile in Polish airspace until it is provided with “hard evidence” it was Russian, said Andrei Ordash, Russia’s chargé d’affaires in Poland, after being summoned to the Polish foreign ministry.

According to RIA Novosti, a Kremlin-aligned Russian news outlet, Ordash said: “Until hard evidence is provided, we will not give any explanations, because these accusations are unfounded.”

He pointed out the incident in November 2022, when a missile killed two people in a Polish border village.

“Back then, they also tried to blame the Russian side for this incident. Later it turned out that the missile was fired by the Ukrainian military,” Ordash claimed.

Here is a summary of today's events so far:

Russia’s Ministry of Defence has hinted at retaliation to Ukraine’s shelling of Belgorod. The number of people killed by a Ukrainian strike in the Russian city of Belgorod has risen to 14, with 108 injured, Russia’s emergencies ministry said on Saturday.

It appears Ukrainian forces had struck military targets in Belgorod in response to Russian bombardment of Ukrainian cities the previous day. At least 39 people were killed in Friday’s strikes, Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy , said. Ukrainian forces have called it the most ferocious airstrike launched by Russia since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

Russia experienced a sharp rise in the number of killed and wounded troops in 2023, according to the UK’s Ministry of Defence. In its daily intelligence briefing, the MoD said the average daily number of Russian casualties (killed and wounded) had risen by almost 300 a day compared with 2022.

Moscow is not going to give an explanation for a missile in Polish airspace until it is provided with “hard evidence” it was Russian, said Andrei Ordash, Russia’s chargé d’affaires in Poland, after being summoned to the Polish foreign ministry. Poland’s armed forces said an unknown airborne object, which they identified as a Russian missile, entered the country’s airspace from the direction of Ukraine for less than three minutes.

Sharp rise in Russian deaths due to 'degradation' of military quality

Russia experienced a sharp rise in the number of killed and wounded troops in 2023, according to the UK’s Ministry of Defence.

In its daily intelligence briefing, the MoD said the average daily number of Russian casualties (killed and wounded) had risen by almost 300 a day compared with 2022.

The increase in daily averages, as reported by the Ukrainian authorities, almost certainly reflects the degradation of Russia’s forces and its transition to a lower quality, high quantity mass army since the “partial mobilisation” of reservists in September 2022. It will likely take Russia five to 10 years to rebuild a cohort of highly trained and experienced military units. If casualties continue at the current rate through the next year, by 2025 Russia will have sustained over half a million personnel killed and wounded over three years of war. This is compared to the Soviet Union’s 70,000 casualties in the nine-year Soviet-Afghan war.

32 drones shot down over Russia, says Moscow

Thirty-two Ukrainian drones were shot down over Russia, Moscow officials reported, a day after an 18-hour aerial barrage across Ukraine killed at least 32 civilians.

Drones were seen in the skies over the Moscow, Bryansk, Oryol and Kursk regions on Saturday, the country’s defence ministry said in a statement. It said all of the drones had been destroyed by air defences.

Russian drone strikes against Ukraine also continued, with the general staff of the Ukrainian armed forces reporting that 10 Iranian-made Shahed drones had been shot down across the Kherson, Khmelnytskyi and Mykolaiv regions on Saturday.

The Kyiv mayor, Vitali Klitschko, said yesterday’s attack was the deadliest one yet for Kyiv in terms of civilian casualties.

Posting on Telegram, Klitschko said: “The attack on the capital on 29 December was the largest in terms of the number of victims among peaceful residents of the capital.

“At this time, 16 bodies were recovered from the rubble of a warehouse in the Shevchenkiv district. Rescuers continue to work and will clear the rubble until tomorrow.” Klitschko said that 1 January will be declared a day of mourning in Kyiv.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko pictured on 13 December 2023.

On Saturday morning the governor of the Bryansk region in Russia, adjoining Ukraine, said a child had been killed in strikes on “civilian objects” in two villages. Alexander Bogomaz did not specify when the attacks took place.

Bogomaz wrote on Telegram: “Ukrainian terrorists shelled the villages of Kister and Borshchovo, Pogarsky district.

“More than 10 shells were fired from MLRS at civilian targets. Unfortunately, a child born in 2014 died as a result of a terrorist attack. I express my sincere condolences to the family of the deceased. All necessary assistance to the family will be provided.”

The Russian military also said it had destroyed a Ukrainian maritime drone moving towards the Crimean peninsula.

The Comprehensive Guide to Moscow Nightlife

groove cruise lineup 2023

Moscow’s nightlife scene is thriving, and arguably one of the best the world has to offer – top-notch Russian women, coupled with a never-ending list of venues, Moscow has a little bit of something for everyone’s taste. Moscow nightlife is not for the faint of heart – and if you’re coming, you better be ready to go Friday and Saturday night into the early morning.

This comprehensive guide to Moscow nightlife will run you through the nuts and bolts of all you need to know about Moscow’s nightclubs and give you a solid blueprint to operate with during your time in Moscow.

What you need to know before hitting Moscow nightclubs

Prices in moscow nightlife.

Before you head out and start gaming all the sexy Moscow girls , we have to talk money first. Bring plenty because in Moscow you can never bring a big enough bankroll. Remember, you’re the man so making a fuzz of not paying a drink here or there will not go down well.

Luckily most Moscow clubs don’t do cover fees. Some electro clubs will charge 15-20$, depending on their lineup. There’s the odd club with a minimum spend of 20-30$, which you’ll drop on drinks easily. By and large, you can scope out the venues for free, which is a big plus.

Bottle service is a great deal in Moscow. At top-tier clubs, it starts at 1,000$. That’ll go a long way with premium vodka at 250$, especially if you have three or four guys chipping in. Not to mention that it’s a massive status boost for getting girls, especially at high-end clubs.

Without bottle service, you should estimate a budget of 100-150$ per night. That is if you drink a lot and hit the top clubs with the hottest girls. Scale down for less alcohol and more basic places.

Dress code & Face control

Door policy in Moscow is called “face control” and it’s always the guy behind the two gorillas that gives the green light if you’re in or out.

In Moscow nightlife there’s only one rule when it comes to dress codes:

You can never be underdressed.

People dress A LOT sharper than, say, in the US and that goes for both sexes. For high-end clubs, you definitely want to roll with a sharp blazer and a pocket square, not to mention dress shoes in tip-top condition. Those are the minimum requirements to level the playing field vis a vis with other sharply dressed guys that have a lot more money than you do. Unless you plan to hit explicit electro or underground clubs, which have their own dress code, you are always on the money with that style.

Getting in a Moscow club isn’t as hard as it seems: dress sharp, speak English at the door and look like you’re in the mood to spend all that money that you supposedly have (even if you don’t). That will open almost any door in Moscow’s nightlife for you.

Types of Moscow Nightclubs

In Moscow there are four types of clubs with the accompanying female clientele:

High-end clubs:

These are often crossovers between restaurants and clubs with lots of tables and very little space to dance. Heavy accent on bottle service most of the time but you can work the room from the bar as well. The hottest and most expensive girls in Moscow go there. Bring deep pockets and lots of self-confidence and you have a shot at swooping them.

Regular Mid-level clubs:

They probably resemble more what you’re used to in a nightclub: big dancefloors, stages and more space to roam around. Bottle service will make you stand out more but you can also do well without. You can find all types of girls but most will be in the 6-8 range. Your targets should always be the girls drinking and ideally in pairs. It’s impossible not to swoop if your game is at least half-decent.

Basic clubs/dive bars:

Usually spots with very cheap booze and lax face control. If you’re dressed too sharp and speak no Russian, you might attract the wrong type of attention so be vigilant. If you know the local scene you can swoop 6s and 7s almost at will. Usually students and girls from the suburbs.

Electro/underground clubs:

Home of the hipsters and creatives. Parties there don’t mean meeting girls and getting drunk but doing pills and spacing out to the music. Lots of attractive hipster girls if that is your niche. That is its own scene with a different dress code as well.

groove cruise lineup 2023

What time to go out in Moscow

Moscow nightlife starts late. Don’t show up at bars and preparty spots before 11pm because you’ll feel fairly alone. Peak time is between 1am and 3am. That is also the time of Moscow nightlife’s biggest nuisance: concerts by artists you won’t know and who only distract your girls from drinking and being gamed. From 4am to 6am the regular clubs are emptying out but plenty of people, women included, still hit up one of the many afterparty clubs. Those last till well past 10am.

As far as days go: Fridays and Saturdays are peak days. Thursday is an OK day, all other days are fairly weak and you have to know the right venues.

The Ultimate Moscow Nightclub List

Short disclaimer: I didn’t add basic and electro clubs since you’re coming for the girls, not for the music. This list will give you more options than you’ll be able to handle on a weekend.

Preparty – start here at 11PM

Classic restaurant club with lots of tables and a smallish bar and dancefloor. Come here between 11pm and 12am when the concert is over and they start with the actual party. Even early in the night tons of sexy women here, who lean slightly older (25 and up).

The second floor of the Ugolek restaurant is an extra bar with dim lights and house music tunes. Very small and cozy with a slight hipster vibe but generally draws plenty of attractive women too. A bit slower vibe than Valenok.

Very cool, spread-out venue that has a modern library theme. Not always full with people but when it is, it’s brimming with top-tier women. Slow vibe here and better for grabbing contacts and moving on.

groove cruise lineup 2023

High-end: err on the side of being too early rather than too late because of face control.

Secret Room

Probably the top venue at the moment in Moscow . Very small but wildly popular club, which is crammed with tables but always packed. They do parties on Thursdays and Sundays as well. This club has a hip-hop/high-end theme, meaning most girls are gold diggers, IG models, and tattooed hip hop chicks. Very unfavorable logistics because there is almost no room no move inside the club but the party vibe makes it worth it. Strict face control.

Close to Secret Room and with a much more favorable and spacious three-part layout. This place attracts very hot women but also lots of ball busters and fakes that will leave you blue-balled. Come early because after 4am it starts getting empty fast. Electronic music.

A slightly kitsch restaurant club that plays Russian pop and is full of gold diggers, semi-pros, and men from the Caucasus republics. Thursday is the strongest night but that dynamic might be changing since Secret Room opened its doors. You can swoop here but it will be a struggle.

groove cruise lineup 2023

Mid-level: your sweet spot in terms of ease and attractiveness of girls for an average budget.

Started going downwards in 2018 due to lax face control and this might get even worse with the World Cup. In terms of layout one of the best Moscow nightclubs because it’s very big and bottle service gives you a good edge here. Still attracts lots of cute girls with loose morals but plenty of provincial girls (and guys) as well. Swooping is fairly easy here.

I haven’t been at this place in over a year, ever since it started becoming ground zero for drunken teenagers. Similar clientele to Icon but less chic, younger and drunker. Decent mainstream music that attracts plenty of tourists. Girls are easy here as well.

Sort of a Coyote Ugly (the real one in Moscow sucks) with party music and lots of drunken people licking each others’ faces. Very entertaining with the right amount of alcohol and very easy to pull in there. Don’t think about staying sober in here, you’ll hate it.

Artel Bessonitsa/Shakti Terrace

Electronic music club that is sort of a high-end place with an underground clientele and located between the teenager clubs Icon and Gipsy. Very good music but a bit all over the place with their vibe and their branding. You can swoop almost any type of girl here from high-heeled beauty to coked-up hipsters, provided they’re not too sober.

groove cruise lineup 2023

Afterparty: if by 5AM  you haven’t pulled, it’s time to move here.

Best afterparty spot in terms of trying to get girls. Pretty much no one is sober in there and savage gorilla game goes a long way. Lots of very hot and slutty-looking girls but it can be hard to tell apart who is looking for dick and who is just on drugs but not interested. If by 9-10am you haven’t pulled, it is probably better to surrender.

The hipster alternative for afterparties, where even more drugs are in play. Plenty of attractive girls there but you have to know how to work this type of club. A nicer atmosphere and better music but if you’re desperate to pull, you’ll probably go to Miks.

Weekday jokers: if you’re on the hunt for some sexy Russian girls during the week, here are two tips to make your life easier.

Chesterfield

Ladies night on Wednesdays means this place gets pretty packed with smashed teenagers and 6s and 7s. Don’t pull out the three-piece suit in here because it’s a “simpler” crowd. Definitely your best shot on Wednesdays.

If you haven’t pulled at Chesterfield, you can throw a Hail Mary and hit up Garage’s Black Music Wednesdays. Fills up really late but there are some cute Black Music groupies in here. Very small club. Thursday through Saturday they do afterparties and you have an excellent shot and swooping girls that are probably high.

Shishas Sferum

This is pretty much your only shot on Mondays and Tuesdays because they offer free or almost free drinks for women. A fairly low-class club where you should watch your drinks. As always the case in Moscow, there will be cute girls here on any day of the week but it’s nowhere near as good as on the weekend.

groove cruise lineup 2023

In a nutshell, that is all you need to know about where to meet Moscow girls in nightlife. There are tons of options, and it all depends on what best fits your style, based on the type of girls that you’re looking for.

Is it safe to travel to Haiti right now? What travelers should know

groove cruise lineup 2023

The State Department is urging Americans not to travel to Haiti amid fresh gang violence in the country, which declared a state of emergency last week.

While neither the warnings nor violence are entirely new – Haiti has been a Level 4: Do Not Travel destination in State Department travel advisories since even before the 2021 assassination of President Jovenel Moïse – a spate of recent high-profile attacks, including an attempt by armed gangs to seize control of the country’s main international airport, has sparked renewed urgency.

“The current security situation in Haiti is unpredictable and dangerous,” the U.S. Embassy in Haiti said in a security alert issued Sunday. “We are aware that there are few or no commercial options to depart Haiti safely at this time. As they become available, we urge U.S. citizens to take advantage of them. The U.S. Embassy’s ability to assist U.S. citizens is severely limited.”

The U.S. military stepped in to airlift American personnel “into and out of the Embassy” to augment security, U.S. Southern Command said Sunday in a statement to USA TODAY. Meanwhile, U.S. citizens in Haiti can fill out crisis intake forms and enroll in the State Department’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program program for updates.

Here’s what airlines and cruise lines are doing about trips to Haiti:

Haiti violence: Military airlifts American personnel out of embassy as Haiti spirals into violence

Are there direct flights to Haiti?

Three U.S. airlines typically operate direct flights to Haiti: American, JetBlue and Spirit. However, all three have temporarily suspended service and issued travel waivers for the Caribbean destination.

◾ American Airlines customers with flights scheduled to, through, or from Port-au-Prince (PAP) through March 15 may modify flights without paying change fees. Changes must be made by March 15 with the same origin and destination cities as the original booking.

◾ JetBlue Airways is waiving change and cancellation fees for travelers with flights scheduled to and from Port-au-Prince through March 22. Customers must rebook by March 27.

◾ Spirit Airlines is waiving change fees and fare differences on travel to, from, or through Cap Haitien (CAP) and Port-au-Prince through April 15. Travelers should rebook by April 30. After that, the airline said change fees would still be waived, but fare differences may apply.

Do cruise ships still go to Haiti?

Royal Caribbean and its sister line Celebrity Cruises stop in Labadee, Haiti , a private destination about six hours away from Port-au-Prince by car.

According to Celebrity’s website, it doesn’t look like the line has any sailings scheduled there until fall, but Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas, Independence of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas, Oasis of the Seas and Symphony of the Seas all have stops scheduled in Labadee over the next month. So far none have been canceled.

“The safety of our guests and crew is our top priority,” a Royal Caribbean spokesperson said in a statement to USA TODAY. “Our global security teams are closely monitoring the situation in the area, and at all times, we remind guests to remain aware of their surroundings while ashore. Should any changes be required, guests will be notified directly.”

The cruise line is aware of the travel advisory and has private security in the area. Only employees and guests are allowed on site. Guests are not allowed to leave the resort, partly for their safety.
