Alan Jackson Announces “Last Call: One More For The Road” Tour, Hints It May Be His Final Tour
Could this be the last tour for the country music legend?
Today Alan Jackson announced his 2022 Last Call: One More For The Road Tour. And in his announcement, he hinted that this could be his final tour.
“I’ve always admired my heroes like George Jones, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn and Charley Pride who just played as much as they wanted to, as long as they could.
I’ve always thought I’d like to do that, and I’d like to as long as my health will allow. I’ll try to do as much as I can, but if I’m comin’ your way, come see me….”
Alan of course revealed last year that he was living with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), a degenerative nerve disease that affects the arms and legs and causes difficulty standing and walking.
AJ admitted back then that the condition was starting to affect his performances, and that he often had to sit down on a stool because he would have trouble balancing in front of the microphone, but that he didn’t want fans to think he was “drunk on stage” because he was having trouble with his balance.
So for what may be his final tour, and his first since announcing his battle with CMT, Alan announced that $1 from every ticket sold for the Last Call: One More for the Road Tour will be donated to the CMT Research Foundation, an organization that funds research for drug development. And in addition, $1 for each ticket will be matched by a group of CMTRF donors and board members.
I know sometimes I’m guilty of looking at tour schedules and concert dates and thinking “Eh, I’ll just catch them next time they’re in town,” but this may very well be your last chance to see one of the all-time greats.
So if the Last Call: One More for the Road Tour is rolling into your town, get out and see Alan while you still have the chance.

Jackson, a three-time CMA Awards entertainer of the year winner, said in a statement, “I’ve always admired my heroes like George Jones, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn and Charley Pride, who just played as much as they wanted to, as long as they could. I’ve always thought I’d like to do that, and I’d like to as long as my health will allow. I’ll try to do as much as I can, but if I’m comin’ your way, come see me…”

The set list is sure to be filled with the numerous hits Jackson has notched during his three decades in music, such as “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere,” “Here in the Real World,” “Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning),” “Chattahoochie,” and more. Tickets for most of the shows will go on sale on March 18. Jackson will also partner with CID Entertainment/OnLocation to offer VIP experiences at his 2022 shows.
Additionally, $1 from every ticket sold will be donated to the CMT Research Foundation, which funds research for Charcot-Marie-Tooth drug development.
Last year, Jackson released the 21-track album Where Have You Gone? , marking his first new collection since 2015. Jackson was the sole writer of the bulk of the songs on the project, including the title track and two songs he penned for his daughter’s weddings: “I Do” and “You’ll Always Be My Baby.”

Alan Jackson Makes ‘Last Call’ With Headlining 2022 Tour
By Jon Freeman
Jon Freeman
Alan Jackson is calling for one more celebratory round with his new headlining tour Last Call: One More for the Road Tour, which gets underway in June.
Spanning 16 dates in total, the trek launches June 24 in Biloxi, Mississippi, and runs all the way to its Oct. 8 finish in Pittsburgh. Along the way, the “ Chattahoochee ” singer will visit Kansas City, St. Paul, and Austin. The closest he’ll get to Nashville is Knoxville’s Thompson-Boling Arena or Lexington’s Rupp Arena, but he did play a Music City gig at Bridgestone arena during a brief tour last October. Most dates for this tour will go on sale March 18.
The One More for the Road Tour is Jackson’s first outing since revealing his diagnosis with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disorder, a degenerative nerve disease that affects balance and movement through the arms and legs. A release announcing the tour doesn’t explicitly say it will be Jackson’s last tour before retiring, but there’s a hint of finality in the name of the tour and Jackson’s provided statement.
“I’ve always admired my heroes like George Jones, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, and Charley Pride, who just played as much as they wanted to, as long as they could,” Jackson said. “I’ve always thought I’d like to do that, and I’d like to as long as my health will allow. I’ll try to do as much as I can, but if I’m comin’ your way, come see me.”
Last year also marked a long-awaited new project from Jackson, who released the double album Where Have You Gone in May. It was his first full-length album in six years, following 2015’s Angels and Alcohol .
Last Call: One More for the Road Tour dates:
June 24 – Biloxi, MS @ Mississippi Coast Coliseum June 25 – Knoxville, TN @ Thompson-Boling Arena July 29 – St. Paul, MN @ Xcel Energy Center July 30 – Grand Forks, ND @ Alerus Center Aug. 12 – Savannah, GA @ Enmarket Arena Aug. 13 – Greenville, SC @ Bon Secours Wellness Arena Aug. 26 – Lincoln, NE @ Pinnacle Bank Arena Aug. 27 – Kansas City, MO @ T-Mobile Center Sept. 9 – Lexington, KY @ Rupp Arena Sept. 10 – Greensboro, NC @ Greensboro Coliseum Sept. 16 – Austin, TX @ Moody Center Sept. 17 – Dallas, TX @ American Airlines Center Sept. 30 – Glendale, AZ @ Gila River Arena Oct. 1 – Anaheim, CA @ Honda Center Oct. 7 – Atlantic City, NJ @ Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall Oct. 8 – Pittsburgh, PA @ PPG Paints Arena

Alan Jackson Announces 2022 "Last Call" Tour
Country Music Hall of Famer Alan Jackson just announced that he is taking a victory lap with Last Call: One More for the Round Tour . The “ Where Have You Gone ” singer is set to kick-off his run Friday, June 24, in Biloxi, Mississippi, and will conclude the 16-city trek in Pittsburg on October 8.
After 30 years in the industry, Jackson has produced an extensive catalog bursting with chart-topping hits. While out on the road, the hitmaker will be hitting popular arenas across America and will be performing his fan-favorite classics.
The Last Call: One More for the Round Tour serves as Jackson’s first outing since publicizing his rare diagnosis with Charcot- Marie-Tooth disorder. The degenerative nerve condition is not deadly, but it could affect mobility. The icon spoke out about his surprising condition with Today host Jenna Bush back in September.
A post shared by Alan Jackson (@officialalanjackson)
“I have this neuropathy and neurological disease,” shared the Icon. “It’s genetic that I inherited from my daddy…There’s no cure for it, but it’s been affecting me for years. And it’s getting more and more obvious. And I know I’m stumbling around on stage. And now I’m having a little trouble balancing, even in front of the microphone, and so I just feel very uncomfortable."
However, he has clarified that his underlining health condition will not stop him from pursuing his craft and connecting with fans.
“I’ve always admired my heroes like George Jones , Merle Haggard , Loretta Lynn , and Charley Pride , who just played as much as they wanted to, as long as they could,” shared Jackson in a previous statement. “I’ve always thought I’d like to do that, and I’d like to as long as my health will allow. I’ll try to do as much as I can, but if I’m comin’ your way, come see me….,” he added.
Tickets to see the three-time CMA Entertainer of the Year are currently available for presale only at alanjackson.com/tour . Tickets will go on sale on March 18. Through the Citi Entertainment program, Citi card members will have access to presale tickets beginning Tuesday, March 15.
Jackson will be joining forces with CID Entertainment/ OnLocation to offer VIP experiences at his 2022 shows. $1 from every ticket sold will be donated to the CMT Research Foundation.
