The pga tour visits the copperhead course for the last event of the florida swing.
Major championship season may be lurking, but before players can set their sights on the Masters, they must first traverse the final stop of the Florida swing. The 2024 Valspar Championship welcomes a strong field to the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook, where a difficult finishing stretch coined "The Snake Pit" awaits.
Last week's runners-up at the Players Championship, Brian Harman and Xander Schauffele, are among the cast of players that will make the trip from Ponte Vedra to the Tampa area. The two Americans are joined in the field by a number of their U.S. Ryder Cup teammates, including Justin Thomas.
They hope to end their skid, with Cameron Young and Tony Finau rounding out the American fold. Min Woo Lee and Sungjae Im headline the international contingent and look to find the winner's circle before the tour transitions to Texas for the next couple weeks.

GARY MCCORD JOINS SIRIUSXM PGA TOUR RADIO CHANNEL
October 27, 2020
Popular veteran golf broadcaster will team up with Drew Stoltz to host “McCord and Stoltz” live weekly, starting tomorrow, October 28
NEW YORK – SiriusXM announced today that veteran golf broadcaster Gary McCord has joined the SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio channel to host a new exclusive weekly show. McCord and Stoltz, which McCord will host with SiriusXM’s Drew Stoltz, will debut October 28 and air live every Wednesday at 8:00 pm ET/5:00 pm PT.
As a member of the CBS golf broadcast team for 33 years, McCord’s lighthearted approach to calling the game made him a fan favorite. Before he ever picked up a microphone he was also an accomplished player. A two-time All American at the University of California-Riverside, McCord won the NCAA Division II individual golf championship in 1970. He then went on to a professional career that saw him compete in more than 400 PGA TOUR events and win two PGA TOUR Champions events.
Drawing on McCord’s experiences from a lifetime in the game, McCord and Stoltz will showcase his insightful, humorous, sometimes irreverent perspective on his sport, and will be a platform for commentary on current events, story-telling, and conversations with some of the most interesting personalities in golf. The show will air live and McCord and Stoltz will also take calls from golf fans around the country.
“I’m really excited to team up with Drew and get back on the mic this week,” said McCord. “To have an hour each week, on an amazing national platform like SiriusXM, to tell stories, talk to people around the world of golf, hear from golf fans and be able to share what’s on my mind? I’m going to have a lot of fun and I hope our audience does to!”
“As one of the longest tenured broadcasters in golf, Gary has been bringing the game into people’s homes for decades, calling tournaments, interviewing players and telling stories,” said Taylor Zarzour, manager, partner relationships, sports programming for SiriusXM. “He’s hilarious, truly one of a kind, and SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio will be the perfect platform for Gary and Drew to continue to connect with and entertain golf fans all across this country every week.”
Drew Stoltz played collegiate golf at Texas Christian University, won the 2004 Colorado State Amateur, and would go on to play on the Korn Ferry Tour and other professional mini tours. He can also be heard co-hosting Gravy and the Sleeze with former PGA TOUR pro Colt Knost weekdays on SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio.
The SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio channel is available to listeners nationwide on SiriusXM radios (channel 208 or 92), on the SiriusXM app and at home with Amazon Alexa, the Google Assistant or however they stream in their house. Visit SiriusXM.com/golfonsxm for more.

Golf Channel, one of the fastest growing networks on television since joining the NBC Sports Group in 2011, is now expanding to radio for the first-time ever in a broadcast agreement with SiriusXM. The announcement was made today by Mike McCarley, Golf Channel President, and Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s President and Chief Content Officer. Golf Channel programming begins Monday Jan. 6 on SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio (XM ch. 93, Sirius ch. 208).
GOLF CHANNEL ON SIRIUSXM PGA TOUR RADIO will offer Golf Channel’s high-quality programming across various dayparts, including Golf Channel’s daily flagship morning show, “Morning Drive,” and daily signature news program, “Golf Central;” instruction programs with the nation’s top-rated instructors and legends of the game including “The Golf Fix,” “School of Golf” and “Golf Channel Academy;” and the network’s critically-acclaimed primetime original series, including “Feherty” and “In Play with Jimmy Roberts.”
“Radio is a natural extension as Golf Channel continues to expand,” said Mike McCarley, President of Golf Channel. “Our increasingly loyal viewers are watching in record numbers, so partnering with SiriusXM will not only make Golf Channel’s high-quality programming available to our devoted audience through a new medium, but also introduce SiriusXM listeners to Golf Channel programming through a SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio channel that is undergoing a transformation with some of the most interesting names in golf as part of its new lineup.”
“Golf Channel showcases an outstanding array of programming and talent, and its yearly growth in viewership is a testament to that quality. SiriusXM is very excited to deliver some of their best content to our nationwide audience,” said Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s President and Chief Content Officer. “We continue to build our SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio channel to offer the very best audio entertainment experience available to anyone and everyone who loves the game of golf, and our collaboration with the Golf Channel is another strong step in that direction.”
Golf Channel’s brand expansion to satellite radio builds upon the network’s tremendous growth since becoming part of the NBC Sports Group in February 2011. Across that timespan, Golf Channel has celebrated its “most-watched years ever” for the past three consecutive years; expanded its footprint to 83 countries worldwide, including significantly expanded distribution in Japan and launched programming in India; unveiled live authenticated streaming via Golf Live Extra and branded NBC Sports’ tournament coverage as “Golf Channel on NBC.”
GOLF CHANNEL ON SIRIUSXM PGA TOUR RADIO will debut Monday, Jan. 6 with a simulcast of “Morning Drive” from 9-11 a.m. ET.
In addition to GOLF CHANNEL ON SIRIUSXM PGA TOUR RADIO, Sirius XM recently announced it has added 2013 FedExCup champion Henrik Stenson, Ryder Cup star Ian Poulter, World Golf Hall of Fame member Ben Crenshaw, and top instructors Hank Haney, David Leadbetter and Jim McLean as hosts on SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio. Launched in 2005, the channel offers listeners nationwide live play-by-play coverage of PGA TOUR events as well as major championship tournaments, plus live call-in talk shows offering news, analysis, equipment reviews and more.

Lucas glover is latest pro to host his own show on sirius xm pga tour radio, share this article.
In his social media profile, PGA Tour veteran Lucas Glover lists the Oscar Wilde quote as a mantra of sorts: “Be yourself, everyone else is already taken.”
Glover, the 2009 U.S. Open champion who had a resurgence this season with two victories in consecutive weeks on the PGA Tour, lives up to Wilde’s words.
In his latest effort to be himself, Glover is joining the SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio channel. The six-time Tour winner will host The Lucas Glover Show , which will premiere December 6 at 8 pm ET. The hour-long program will air regularly throughout the year exclusively on SiriusXM.
“It’s an excellent platform for me to have a voice in the game and reach golf fans all over the country,” said Glover in a press release. “Having my own show is something I’ve actually thought about doing since I won the U.S. Open. Now, having experienced all I have through my career, I’m ready and looking forward to sharing lots of stories, lessons learned and opinions on our game.”
Glover, 44, turned professional in 2001 after graduating from Clemson. In 2009 Glover won the U.S. Open at the Bethpage Black Course by a two-stroke margin, in the process becoming one of just a handful of players to win the U.S. Open after having to play in a sectional qualifier.
Glover is one of the Tour’s more introspective and reflective pros, an affable Southern gentleman who is never shy with his opinions. Just last month, he showed off his personality and his ability to touch on a wide-range of topics during a lengthy Q&A with Golfweek .
The SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio channel is available to listeners nationwide on the SiriusXM radios in their cars (channel 92) and on the SiriusXM app.
Keep up with The Players Championship live coverage and leaderboard throughout the week.

Mic'd Up: Annika Sorenstam to debut new golf-talk program on SiriusXM Radio
Jared C. Tilton
Keeping busy isn’t something Annika Sorenstam has struggled to do since she stepped away from her Hall of Fame career on the LPGA Tour back in 2008. In the ensuing years, she made an impact on the game through her Annika Foundation, as an entrepreneur and as president of the International Golf Federation, among numerous other endeavors.
Now she gets set to embark on another pursuit: radio show host.
Tuesday night on SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio , Sorenstam, 52, debuts in a new program titled “Annika.” Alongside her co-host, husband Mike McGee, Sorenstam will take calls from listeners, discuss her experiences in golf and business, provide instruction tips and breakdown today’s game and players on the men’s and women’s tours.
More From Golf Digest
“I am really looking forward to hosting the show with Mike,” she said. “We will discuss the latest happenings in golf, including women’s, amateur and junior golf. We look forward to having guests join us and to talking about what the listeners want as the phone lines will be open. Of course, we will also touch on our Foundation and family.”
The program is scheduled to air twice a month, and the launch coincides well with one of the more memorable moments of Sorenstam’s playing career. Later this month, Sorenstam celebrates the 20th anniversary of when she competed against men’s professionals at the Bank of America Colonial.
Annika Sorenstam is joined by husband Mike McGee and her children Ava and William after winning the 2021 U.S. Senior Women's Open Championship.
Rich Schultz
This isn’t the first time Sorenstam has had a program on SiriusXM. In 2014, along with former Golf Digest writer Ron Sirak, she co-hosted “The Annika Hour.”
The opportunity to offer commentary about the game is something that seems particularly appealing at this moment in time. “It’s an exciting time in the golf world, especially in women’s golf. Look at the great ratings the Chevron Championship got. That is fantastic.”
