Stevie Nicks setlist: Here are all the songs on her can't-miss US tour
NEW YORK — Stevie Nicks will always be the coolest person in any room.
On Sunday night, rock's high priestess made Madison Square Garden her church with an electrifying, funny and at times heartbreaking sold-out concert. Wearing a black, billowing dress — her mic stand sparkling with beads and ribbons — Nicks delivered some of her best-loved hits with regal grace and bewitching power, including "Bella Donna," "Stand Back" and "Edge of Seventeen."
In between each song, the singer candidly regaled stories to the audience with self-deprecating humor and wistful wisdom: recalling her "incredible crush on Tom Petty" that led to "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around," and how "Fall From Grace" is the closest thing she's written to "a real serious argument." And although you'd never know it, she talked about feeling intense stage fright, returning to headline the iconic Garden for the first time since 2016.
"I've been here before, but it doesn't ever get old in the way of you saying, 'Oh, Madison Square Garden, no problem,'" Nicks said early in the evening. "It's such an amazing place that you’re a little scared. And I'm fearless – I'm never scared – but I'm scared right now. So anyways, let's just get this party started!"
'They helped her have my soul': Stevie Nicks enters the Barbie zeitgeist with her own doll
The night's biggest tearjerkers were Nicks' emotional encore tributes to Petty and Fleetwood Mac member Christine McVie , singing "Free Fallin'" and "Landslide" accompanied by pictures of the late musicians. She also had the crowd in stitches mid-show as she gleefully played with her Stevie Barbie doll, which she told USA TODAY about in a new interview .
"Thank you for indulging me and my little guilty pleasure," Nicks said onstage. "And now, moving on from Barbie Land and back to Stevie Land."
Nicks, 75, last released an album of all-original music with 2011's "In Your Dreams," while 2014's "24 Karat Gold" featured new versions of old demos. She is playing nearly two dozen shows across the U.S. through next March, some of which with Billy Joel .
Stevie Nicks' tour setlist:
- "Outside the Rain"
- "If Anyone Falls"
- "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around"
- "Fall From Grace"
- "For What It's Worth"
- "Wild Heart"
- "Bella Donna"
- "Stand Back"
- "Soldier's Angel"
- "Gold Dust Woman"
- "I Sing for the Things"
- "Edge of Seventeen"

Legendary singer, songwriter and storyteller Stevie Nicks is one of rock and roll’s most successful, inimitable, and groundbreaking artists. As a multi-platinum, GRAMMY® Award-winning solo artist, and member of Fleetwood Mac, she is the first women to have been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice and has collectively sold more than 140 million albums. Having captivated audiences for decades with her iconic live performances, distinctive songwriting, and constant cultural influence, Nicks continues to be an inspiration and mentor to younger performers.
Last fall, Stevie Nicks was immortalized with her very own Barbie . Mattel has revealed Nicks’ very own version of their pop culture phenomenon, dressing the Barbie in Stevie’s iconic garb from the 1977 Fleetwood Mac Rumours album cover – complete with her moon necklace, knee-high black boots, and tamborine. Nicks made the announcement during her show at Madison Square Garden last night [October 1].
“I have something very exciting to share with you a few hours before the rest of the world,” Stevie told the capacity crowd in New York. “I was very overwhelmed. Would she look like me? Would she have my spirit? Would she have my heart?”
“My Stevie Barbie has been with me now for several months,” Nicks said in a statement on Monday [October 2]. When Mattel came to me asking if I would like to have a Barbie made in the “Rumours” cover style, I was very overwhelmed. Of course, I questioned, ‘Would she look like me? Would she have my spirit? Would she have my heart…’ When I look at her, I see my 27-year-old self. All the memories of walking out on a big stage in that black outfit and those gorgeous boots come rushing back, and then I see myself now in her face. What we have been through since 1975 – the battles we have fought, the lessons we have learned – together. I am her and she is me. She absolutely has my heart. Thank you Mattel for working with me to make Stevie Barbie so pretty and so soulful and so real; she means the world to me!”
Mattel says, “Soulful stage presence. Spellbinding style. With a career that’s touched generations of music lovers, Stevie Nicks is the latest legend to be celebrated as part of the Barbie Music Series, bringing her inspiring story and chart-topping career to artists and audiences of all ages.”
Stevie Nicks has member of Fleetwood Mac since 1974. Throughout their career, the band have sold an impressive 100 million albums worldwide. Named by Rolling Stone as the “Reigning Queen of Rock and Roll,” as well as one of the top 100 singers and songwriters of all time Stevie Nicks has been a force in the music world since the ‘70s.
Nicks boasts a long string of hits as both the Fleetwood Mac frontwoman and a solo singer-songwriter. While she’s known for moody, poetic lyricism drawing on painful relationships, her intense theatrical presence onstage makes her live performances unforgettable.
Before Nicks became a best-selling artist, she was an avid young music enthusiast. She shared a passion for the country genre with her grandfather and often sang duets alongside him as a toddler. Eventually, this devoted love helped Nicks find her voice and realize her creative talent.
After joining bands throughout high school, Nicks stumbled upon her soon-to-be bandmate and romantic partner Lindsey Buckingham. The pair dove headfirst into the ’70s music scene with original demo tapes and albums. Although the Buckingham-Nicks collaboration didn’t perform as well as expected, the duo’s team-up – and their tempestuous relationship – set the tone for a future with the band Fleetwood Mac.
Nicks proved her expertise during Fleetwood Mac’s steady rise to fame. She claimed her spot as a vocalist and helped steer the band toward an iconic debut. Fleetwood Mac’s debut self-titled album featured numerous songwriting credits from the frontwoman.
“Rhiannon” and “Landslide” – both written by Nicks – quickly became certified classics thanks to her impressive vocal talent. It launched the group’s 1975 full-length release to historical heights, marking a memorable beginning to a legendary career.
Nicks played a crucial role in Fleetwood Mac’s growing discography. Besides the band’s stellar debut LP, Nicks’s contributions to later projects like Rumours, Tusk, and Mirage cemented her reputation as a creative force to be reckoned with. She was a pivotal piece to the band’s ever-changing image.
The singer backed up her songwriting skills with breathtaking live performances. Her on-stage presence showcased true star potential, especially with her unique voice and rock ‘n’ roll energy. No one denied her ability to captivate the crowd and take the stage by storm. Naturally, it wasn’t a surprise when Nicks decided to go solo and step away from the Fleetwood Mac spotlight.
As she pursued solo projects, Nicks expanded her vocal and songwriting versatility. Studio albums like Bella Donna, The Wild Heart, Rock a Little, and The Other Side of the Mirror helped her break into the ’80s music scene. “Edge of Seventeen,” “Stand Back,” “Nightbird,” and other chart-topping singles symbolized her rock royalty status. Her presence and fame only rose higher as the modern-day music era rolled around.
Nicks recorded eight solo studio albums, earned multi-platinum status, and garnered plenty of number one hits. Her work alongside Fleetwood Mac helped the band achieve a highly acclaimed reputation and recognized her power as an in-demand artist.
In 2018, Nicks made her way into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Because of her previous induction with Fleetwood Mac in 1998, this marked the first time a woman secured multiple spots as a rock honoree.
Today, Nicks continues her venture as one of the greatest female musicians. Many stars like Lorde, HAIM, Taylor Swift, and Harry Styles cite the singer as a huge driving force in their careers. She often offers a helping hand to these pop phenoms, performing alongside them on stage and sharing her talent with new and long-time fans.
Nicks’ time with Fleetwood Mac made her a certified success. Ultimately, her knack for songwriting, groundbreaking performances, and supreme vocals took her a step further. There’s no doubt her legacy as a rock legend will live on forever.
Live reviews
The individual members of Fleetwood Mac have to find something to do when they’re not touring their collective back catalogue to packed arenas at eye-watering prices; for Stevie Nicks, that’s usually involved focusing on her solo career. Back in 2011, she turned out her first solo record in a decade, In Your Dreams, to a generally positive critical response; like most of her solo work, it focused more directly on a rock sound than much of her Fleetwood Mac material has, and the live show that accompanied it, when she hit the road in support of it, leant in a similar direction. After a joint tour in the U.S. with fellow cocaine enthusiast Rod Stewart, she played in front of 60,000 people at the Hard Rock Calling festival in London - the first time she’d stepped out on her own in Europe since 1989. In keeping with the tone of the new record, the Fleetwood Mac songs that she did perform were the heavier numbers, with an extended, jam-laden version of ‘Gold Dust Woman’ amongst the highlights. Solo standout ‘Edge of Seventeen’, too, received the full rock treatment, running over twelve minutes with a scintillating guitar intro. Nicks was flanked by backing singers, but frankly didn’t need them; her voice has stood up astonishingly well to years of well-documented drug abuse. Fleetwood Mac tours are so lucrative that it’s difficult to see Nicks throwing herself back into the solo arena all that whole-heartedly any time soon; should she surprise us, though, she’s already got the live side of things down pat.

Stevie Nicks was outstanding! I read some negative reviews online from people who had seen the show and I disagree with all of them! Some said she talked too much between songs but I loved her stories on how the songs came to be. Also, her voice was in perfect form. She did some songs from her black gothic trunk as she called it that nobody had heard and they were great songs. She of course did some of her biggest hits and the audience went wild. Now, for the negative. Parking! We missed the Pretenders completely because the parking situation was a mess. It took over an hour from turning onto to the street the venue was on only to get directed all the way around the venue to the overflow parking lot. So many people missed them because of it.Could have been avoided with better planning by the venue. They knew the show was sold out! Cmon people. Very disappointing. 5 stars for Stevie! She still rocks!
Her solo show was awsome!!
She played all my favorite songs plus some new stuff .
She did an awesome tribute to New Orleans about Hurricane Katrina ..titled " New Orleans",
Which a lot of people never heard her song before .
Her voice was strong and sounded so good the musicians all played very well too!
I love the fact that she told a story along with all her music songs.. she connected with her fans it was very entertaining ..
I love the Pretenders !!
They played awesome too! They sounded just like the early 90's!! Chrissy Hines looks great Too!
They still got it going on and have many classic songs..
I would go back and see Stevie Nicks agsinnin the future..
she looked great Too!!
Well first off Stevie was amazing! the concert was amazing The Pretenders were awesome! but there was one thing that really made me mad was when during the concert a drunk woman from a row behind us fell on top of us she really did kinda hurt us she fell on us and just laid there on the ground for a good 5 mins then decides to get up and go get another beer but when she went to go down the stairs she slipped on the last step and fell down again! I'm very unhappy with the way they didn't kick her out for being too drunk to go down stairs they didn't even have a staff member come check on us when the woman fell and a staff member saw the whole thing happen.
I had waited a long time for this and was not disappointed at all!! Stevie was amazing, her voice is as good as it was years ago. Video does not do her justice! She told some stories about her songs which We found really interesting!! Some of her vault songs are truly beautiful and thankfully she got them out! If she comes back am deffinately going back to see her. She twirled and did the crazy dance in gold dust woman. Amazing concert Stevie!! We love you!!
Stevie is a ballarina of lyrics and can dance harmony into your soul, and she did in May when I saw her at MGM. She was magical the first time, and then she came back with Fleetwood mac in December when she put on another fantastic show. Her love for Lindsey showed in every song and when they cried on their duet there was no dry eyes in the arena. Stevie shines and her songs are life full of experance as you should of seen
The show was great Stevie and Chrissy can still sing amazingly ❤❤. But one thing, I couldn't hear Stevie talking from where I was out the back. But I do know she talked alot and sort of got the crowd hyped with a song then the mood swayed to boredom until the next song. May have been better if I could hear what she was saying. All in all though was a great concert.
Well parking issues were a disaster very unorganized so we missed the pretenders and beginning of Stevie and then we had seat jumpers in our seats very sad the for the money that we pay for those seats that we didn't even catch that maybe 7 songs if that only Stevie Nicks
Not a bad show, her voice is still awesome as it was 40 years ago. Great set list of songs, however, her show was a bit slow because she talked about each song, and started side tracking on her stories. The band was great and so was her backup singers...
It rates right up there as one of the best concerts I've been to!!! For a 68 year old woman, Stevie still has the moves and the pipes she had when she was 20!!! Loved her stories and the songs she included that were not heard before!!!One fantastic show!!!

See Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel Perform ‘Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around’ at Co-Headlining Tour Kickoff
By Daniel Kreps
Daniel Kreps
Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel kicked off their much-anticipated co-headlining tour Friday night at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium, and while both artists delivered their own concerts’ worth of music, they each appeared for a song during the other’s set.
Early in Nicks’ set, Joel shuffled onstage to contribute the Tom Petty part on the classic “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.” Midway through Joel’s 21-song set, Nicks appeared to sing his ballad “And So It Goes.”

Stevie Nicks Kicks Off 2023 Solo Tour Like a Woman Possessed: Review
Nicks' impassioned set honored Tom Petty and Christine McVie
By way of introduction to “Gypsy,” a song from her former band, Stevie Nicks recalled how she would center herself when, as she put it, she “got a big head about the Fleetwood Mac thing.” She would take the mattress from her bed, set it on the floor, festoon it with draperies and pillows, and then sit down in the middle, reminding herself, “I am still Stevie.” It was a humbling moment, undercut by her comment that she has beds on the floor in “all of her houses.”
But to Climate Pledge Arena crowd witnessing the opening night of Nicks’ spring concert tour (tickets are available here ), the slight 74-year-old on stage was hardly just Stevie. This was the gypsy. The bella donna. The witchy woman. The blonde beauty that launched a dozen Lindsay Buckingham songs and inspired Walter Egan’s 1978 smash, “Magnet and Steel.” The iconic figure who could send the crowd reeling simply by spinning around in a circle billowing out one of the many colorful shawls she sported throughout the evening in Seattle.
Nice as it was to imagine her quietly meditating on the floor, from the audience’s worshipful cheers and thoughtfully chosen outfits (leather and lace, velvet and denim, and lots of top hats), the woman on stage will always be more than just Stevie.
Nicks did a lot of spinning on Wednesday night. She reacted to the music ecstatically, moving about the stage nimbly in spite of an apparent broken toe that forced her to forgo her usual high heels for more sensible shoes. “Goodbye Di Fabrizio, hello Balenciaga,” she quipped. At points throughout the evening, especially during the psychedelic coda of a particularly intense rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s “Gold Dust Woman,” she appeared possessed, enraptured. At the end of the song, she stood at the back of the stage lit by a spotlight, arms akimbo, and looking like she might levitate off the stage at any moment.
She remained earthbound however, grounded by humanizing moments throughout the night. She slipped off stage regularly, likely to recharge in some fashion before a particularly demanding song. And her voice has been audibly tempered by decades of use and abuse. She can no longer hit the high notes in “Dreams,” but that’s what backup singers are for.
There was a sense that Nicks was returning to the stage to deal with some unfinished emotional business. For the most part, she let the gigantic video screen on stage do most of the talking on that front. Though she referenced the war in Ukraine when introducing the raging “Soldier’s Angel,” commenting that Zelensky’s forces were “fighting for all of us,” the power of the moment came from the clips and photos of the conflict that spooled out behind her. Photos of Prince were intercut with animated images of doves throughout the performance of fan favorite, “Edge of Seventeen.”
But two of her friends and collaborators seemed foremost on her mind. The presence of the late Tom Petty loomed large over the evening. Her band took the stage to the sound of “Runnin’ Down a Dream.” Her classic duet with Petty, “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around,” was placed prominently in the early moments of the 90-minute set, as legendary guitarist Waddy Wachtel, a member of Nicks’ airtight touring band, handled the other vocal part. And to kick off the encore, she leaned into a poignant rendition of “Free Fallin’,” complete with photos of Nicks and Petty sharing stages and a microphones.
The emotion finally spilled over at the end of the night when Nicks started to choke up as she commented that this concert was one of her first times on stage since the death of her Fleetwood Mac bandmate, Christine McVie.
That moment — and the nods to her fallen comrades — went from far beyond a simple tribute. The compounded losses appeared to have given Nicks a stronger urge to make even a fleeting emotional connection with the people around her, be that her backing band or the thousands of ticketholders before her.
As the band settled into a taut groove, extending out the final minutes of “Edge of Seventeen,” Nicks made her way to each member of the group, holding their hand briefly or simply locking eyes. She then moved to the lip of the stage, waving and interacting with the audience in hopes of fostering that strange but powerful artist/fan relationship. Feeding them the hits and basking in their applause wasn’t nearly enough; Nicks sought to make as many people as she could feel seen and appreciated. Further proof that no matter what she may tell herself, she will never be just Stevie.
Nicks’ 2023 headlining tour continues through June, and she’s also joining Billy Joel for the “Two Icons, One Night” co-headlining trek. Tickets to all of her shows are available here .
