My wife and kid are transiting through YVR. They are traveling from Amsterdam via KLM and then connecting onto Westjet to Calgary. the connection time is 1 hour 40 minutes. Is that enough time to go through immigration and customs?

Also any idea if they need to collect baggage at YVR or will that be transferred automatically?

You will proceed to Immigration. Then pick up your luggage and follow the "Domestic Connections" signs to the WestJet counter where you will drop off your luggage.

If WestJet was in the SkyTeam Alliance with KLM, your luggage would be sent through to final destination for you.

Thank you all for answering! Just an update, the bags indeed got checked through and they went through the dedicated IDT channel for immigration and customs declaration. Gate to gate took 1 hour.
