The Discovery 1 uses a long travel coil spring suspension system borrowed from the Range Rover Classic to help keep all 4 wheels planted to the ground, giving the vehicle exceptional off-roading capability. To keep that capability though, it is vital that the suspension is well maintained. This section will allow you to locate whatever suspension component you need for the front or rear of the Disco 1 from small bushings to shock absorbers and arms.

Application: Defender 90/110/130, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic. Description: Extreme long travel shocks - 5" longer than standard. Sold singularly. The Terrafirma Extreme shock is constructed with pin mountings top and bottom which directly replaces the original front shock. The traditional rear top eye mount however will not accommodate the extreme articulation achieved with the Extreme shocks. To enable a rear pin top mount shock to be fitted requires a special mounting kit TF519. The kit comprises a pair of brackets and all necessary nuts and bolts. Specification: Open length 67.3cm(26.5"), closed length 39.3cm(15.5"). Twin tube construction with low pressure nitrogen/oil fill. Shaft diameter 20mm(0.8"), piston diameter 40mm(1.6"), body diameter 57mm(2.24").

The challenge to conquer the largest rocks and deepest ruts is hugely appealing to hard-core Land Rover drivers. Whether youre in competition or just driving for fun. Keeping the tyres in contact with the ground and the vehicle stable is crucial to successfully mastering the roughest terrain. Long travel suspension is not new, however achieving great performance, control and reliability is more than just fitting any old long travel shocks. Built to exactly the same tough specifications as the Pro Sport shocks including velocity sensitive valving, huge 20mm shaft, 40mm piston and fully welded mounts. The main difference is that the Terrafirma Extreme LT shock is 3 inches (75mm) longer and a massive 5inches (125mm) longer than standard. Amazingly the Extreme shocks share the same high quality ride and handling on the road yet allow enormous wheel travel when off-road. Specific valving has been developed to allow the same shock to be used front and rear giving bump killing performance and unrivalled strength and flexibility in the serious rough stuff. The Terrafirma Extreme shock is constructed with pin mountings top and bottom which directly replaces the original front shock. The 2.0 Performance Series IFP smooth body shocks contain the latest in shock technology to transform the performance of your Truck or SUV. They use race-proven damping control to provide a comfortable on-road ride and predictable off-road handling in even the toughest conditions. The precision metal impact aluminum body increases cooling capacity and will never rust. Inside you will find our race-proven performance valving technology Our Internal Floating Piston (IFP) mono-tube design separates the shock oil from the high-pressure, nitrogen-charged gas chamber. The IFP eliminates oil aeration allowing maximum performance from the factory-tuned precision valving. The race developed high flow damping piston matched with application specific vavling provides the 2.0 Performance Series IFP shock a predictable ride quality capable of handling the roughest road conditions.

FOX LIMITED WARRANTY

FOX Factory, Inc., a California corporation having offices at 130 Hangar Way, Watsonville, CA 95076 ("FOX"), makes the following LIMITED WARRANTY with respect to its suspension products:

LIMITED ONE (1) YEAR WARRANTY ON SUSPENSION PRODUCTS

Subject to the limitations, terms and conditions hereof, FOX warrants, to the original retail owner of each new FOX suspension product, that the FOX suspension product, when new, is free from defects in materials and workmanship. Unless otherwise required by law, this warranty expires one (1) year from the date of the original FOX suspension product retail purchase from an authorized FOX dealer or from a FOX authorized Original Equipment Manufacturer where FOX suspension is included as original equipment on a purchased vehicle. If law requires a warranty duration of greater than one (1) year, then, subject to the other provisions hereof, this warranty will expire at the end of the minimum warranty period required by such law.

TERMS OF WARRANTY

This warranty is conditioned on the FOX suspension product being operated under normal conditions and properly maintained as specified by FOX. This warranty is only applicable to FOX suspensions purchased new from an authorized FOX source and is made only to the original retail owner of the new FOX suspension product and is not transferable to subsequent owners. This warranty is void if the FOX suspension product is subjected to abuse, neglect, improper or unauthorized repair, improper or unauthorized service or maintenance, alteration, modification, accident or other abnormal, excessive, or improper use.

Should it be determined by FOX in its sole and final discretion, that a FOX suspension product is covered by this warranty, it will be repaired or replaced, by a comparable model, at FOX's sole option, which will be conclusive and binding. THIS IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS WARRANTY. ANY AND ALL OTHER REMEDIES AND DAMAGES THAT MAY OTHERWISE BE APPLICABLE ARE EXCLUDED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR PUNATIVE DAMAGES.

This limited warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear, malfunctions or failures that result from abuse, improper assembly, neglect, alteration, improper maintenance, crash, misuse or collision. This limited warranty gives the consumer specific legal rights. The consumer may also have other legal rights which vary from state to state or country to country. Some states and countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or warranties, and if dictated by law the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. If it is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction that a certain provision of this limited warranty does not apply, such determination shall not affect any other provision of this limited warranty and all other provisions shall remain in full effect.

THIS IS THE ONLY WARRANTY MADE BY FOX ON ITS SUSPENSION PRODUCTS AND COMPONENTS, AND THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION HEREIN. ANY WARRANTIES THAT MAY OTHERWISE BE IMPLIED BY LAW INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE EXCLUDED.

If your order arrives damaged, is missing hardware, appears used or pre-installed, or is incomplete in any way, we will jump into action to send replacements. Shock Surplus allows returns and exchanges inside of a 30-day window starting from time of receipt by the customer . It is our mission to make every transaction smooth, and fix any issues you may encounter.

• Products must be new, unused, and in uninstalled condition for us to accept a return.
• We do not accept installed parts, so be sure you have the correct part number(s) before attempting to install them on your vehicle.
• Returned parts must contain all associated hardware, otherwise that part number will be deducted from your refund.

Returns Under Customer's Responsibility

• Below 50lbs - $15 flat rate deducted from the refund. Shock Surplus will provide a shipping label to make this process as easy as possible.
• Greater than 50lbs - Discounted shipping rates to get the product(s) back to Shock Surplus, that amount will be deducted from the refund. 50lb+ packages are automatically labeled 'Oversize' by our couriers, and automatically incur a $25 charge on top of the shipping fee.

Returns Under Shock Surplus' Responsibility

• Free , we will provide a return shipping label and ship the replacement parts for free. If a refund is preferred, a full refund will occur.

You should expect to receive your refund within 5-7 business days of our warehouse receiving your return. The amount of time it takes for your refund to show up in your account varies by payment method, but typically takes 1-3 business days. You will also receive a message confirming the refund via the marketplace where the purchase happened. We wish we could speed up the process of funds reaching your payment method following a refund, but it is out of our hands.

Terrafirma 4 Stage Adjustable shocks

Sharing all the features of the Pro Sport shock the 4 Stage Adjustable includes 4 stages of damping adjustment; Comfort, Standard, Firm and Sport giving the driver the opportunity to match the damping performance with the coil spring rate, gross vehicle weight and desired handling characteristics to optimise performance and handling with the already acknowledged strength and reliability of the Pro Sport. The advantages when driving off road are remarkable as these shocks are built with hard core use in mind. Simply turn the easy to rotate knob on the body of the shock to adjust the shock to you preferred setting, Standard offers the same damping ratio as the Pro Sport, Comfort offers a softer ride and Firm and Sport really stiffen things up. For vehicle owners who want one shock to handle additional load at the weekend and another to cruise to work with then this the shock for you. Available from standard travel up to +5“(125mm) longer travel, the 4 Stage shocks are a super tough twin tube design with a large 18mm shaft and 35mm piston. Low pressure nitrogen keeps the oil under pressure which prevents it from cavitating which causes shock fade, something the 4 Stage is never troubled with.

In keeping with all Terrafirma shocks these shocks are striking and stylish, finished with a high quality deep silver paint to resist corrosion and including the smart Terrafirma 4 Stage Adjustable shock absorber logo, a bright red semi rigid plastic dust shield with embossed Terrafirma logo protects the double chromed shaft from stone damage.

Terrafirma 4 Stage Adjustable shocks are perfect when combined with Terrafirma coil springs to give a 2” (50mm) lift with a corresponding increase in wheel travel.

Terrafirma 4 Stage Adjustable +3 & 5” long travel shocks

The challenge to conquer the largest rocks and deepest ruts is hugely appealing to hard-core off-road drivers. Whether you’re in competition or just driving for fun, keeping the tyres in contact with the ground and the vehicle stable is crucial to successfully mastering the roughest terrain. Long travel suspension is not new, however achieving great performance, control and reliability is more than just fitting any old long travel shocks. To maximise performance across the range of spring rates and vehicle loads the 4 Stage Adjustable shocks are used in all our long travel applications up to +5” (125mm) longer than standard.

The Terrafirma 4 Stage Adjustable +5” long travel shock for Defenders, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classics is made with pin mountings top and bottom which directly replaces the original front shock. The traditional rear top eye mount on the All Terrain and Pro Sport shocks however will not accommodate the extreme articulation achieved with the Extreme shocks. To enable a rear pin top mount shock to be fitted requires a special mounting kit TF519. The kit comprises a pair of brackets and all necessary nuts and bolts.

For the Discovery 2 the +3” longer travel 4 Stage Adjustable shock is ideal, the standard suspension system is ‘tight’ and will not allow enough flex to use a longer shock. When combined with +2” coil springs the +3” shocks ad significant axle travel keeping the wheels of your D2 on the ground.
