Decorated in white, black and grey stencil art this place is characterized by a very special vibe. Many world travelers meet there and enjoy the international company. Even in Ljubljana, here it’s possible to escape from the daily routine to some exotic island or go on a road trip on Route 66. Diverse photo exhibitions of Slovenian travelers are a great enrichment for the place. Many travel lectures are hosted there each month and I enjoy meeting like-minded travelers from everywhere.

Anuška and Marjan are the founders of the place and the young couple with two children is definitely an encyclopedia for hints and tips on how to travel with children. They have traveled the world. Both of them are often there so if you’ve a chance to meet either one or the other, don’t hesitate to say hello. They’re just great interlocutors!

The place is a bit hidden, so you’ll need to take a short walk to the small terrace on the first floor. The view is also nice – you can see the Skyscraper from the terrace!

It’s not only a cafe but also a Student travel agency, which is in the next room, separated with glass doors, it’s a great place to plan your next trip. If you are hungry, don’t forget to check out delicious food at Mala terasa, just a step away. It is run by the same owners and the food is as international as the entire STA Travel place experience. Always comfy and nice.

Slovenians are known as 'the coffee drinking nation' and I have to agree with it. We drink lots of coffee, we drink it from the morning till late afternoon and yes, it has to be good. STA caffe has even something more - a nice... service. Everybody working here is kind & fast so I can not ask for more. Ok, maybe they should work on some extra (breakfast) offer but until then - perfect for a coffee break or a short meeting. More

A waitress with blonde "dread" style hair was rude to me and my friends. She called us idiots and said we were dumb. All because she didnt want to wait a few seconds for us to gather some change to pay for our order. All... because of her hurry to go and smoke. More

Great selection of beverages and nibbles. Very spacious inside as outside. You are greeted with a smile and a sense of adventure, especially if you catch one of the lectures given by various travel enthusiasts ;). Refill your energy in a place that has the... warmth of a friendly local cafe, but also provides you with the inkling for future travel explorations. More

With a wide selection of craft beer (and cheapest prices!) and good coffee, STA Travel Cafe is the best place to chillout after a busy day exploring the city or a lazy hangout with local people. You can also get a hearty sandwich or panino... for the quick lunch, or a fine croissant for breakfast. Recommended! More

It's a nice place in the centre of Ljubljana. It has comfortable outdoor seats and great coffee. And also free wi-fi. :)

STA travel cafe is a nice and pleasant place, with a free wifi and ongoing exhibition of diferent places with a theam "word in picture". They have also a seaside version of STA called STA Koper in a seaside town caled Koper :-)

Nice place with a good selection of beers. Opening hours are evening-out friendly and often extend to offer enough time for a slow departure. Definite reccomend!

I was living in Ljubljana for 6 months and found out about this beautiful cafe at the end of my trip unluckily. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and great beer, that is not expensive at all. Probably a best place to go when you want to enjoy great evening with your friends in the city center. Lovely place!

Zaljubljena v sonce, morje in šelestenje kokosovih palm. Do ušes nasmejana, ko se bosa sprehajam po toplem belem pesku. Srečna, ko drsim po turkizni vodni gladini in občudujem barve mavrice ujete v kapljice okoli mene. Ganjena, ko pri tem srečam želvo, manto in delfina. Očarana nad spektakularnostjo sončnega zahoda in skrivnostjo polne lune. V duši doma, ko tam nisem.

najlepša hvala za vrhunsko organizacijo najinega potovanja. Imela sva se res zelo lepo. Nič ne bi spremenila. Morda samo odhod iz slapov Iguazu - okoli 14-15, ne ob 19.30, ker sam ogled traja dobre 3 ure.

Resnično hvala za vse. Prihodnjič se tudi obrneva na vas, ko se bova lotila novega podviga v tujino.

o našem potovanju na Sejšele lahko povem zgolj in samo najboljše: organizacija poletov in prevozov (ob prihodu nas je čakal celo Porsche:)) je bila BP, tudi z izborom hotelov smo bile izjemno zadovoljne.

Žal ne morem reči, kaj nam je bilo najbolj všeč, ker je bilo prav vse najboljše in najlepše, kar si lahko človek zaželi. Tudi malo slabši signal na otoku La Digue se je izkazal za super izkušnjo - je bil najboljši način za takojšen odklop od vsakdana in predajanje užitkom, ki jih nudi prečudovita narava. Sedaj vem, zakaj so Sejšeli velikokrat označeni kot "raj na zemlji" :).

Lep pozdrav do naslednjega našega potovanja, ki ga bomo brez dvoma organizirale z vašo pomočjo, saj svoje delo opravljate res profesionalno.

Pozdrav vsem!

Tudi jaz bi se v ženinem in svojem imenu rad zahvalil za vrhunsko popotniško izkušnjo, ki je bila 1. te vrste. Rim in Italijo sem močno vzljubil. Hkrati pa si razširil obzorje ter spoznal zgodovinske fakte, ki so vplivali na nadaljni razvoj človeštva. Hvala tebi Damjan, ker si tako kul! Zrihtal si odlične lokalne vodiče! In hvala vsem ostalim ob katerih sva se z Andrejo na momente zares nasmejala.

Bilo je tudi naporno, ampak vredno. Nekaj časa sedaj ne bova jedela makaronov :P Oba se veseliva ponovnega srečanja z vami na naslednji ekskurziji :)

Najprej sva bila z Maticem mnenja, da mi pa res ne rabimo tok nobel prenočišč...no na koncu sva bila presrečna, da smo na varnem in čistem. 😊 Super zbrane lokacije hotelov, bravo, vse pri roki! Vse prijave so štimale. 👌

Jon se vsak dan zahvaljuje za Jordanske počitnice, je vidno užival, najbolj pa na bordu v puščavi. 😃

Passenger air travel resumes at Ljubljana airport

Ljubljana, 29 May - After two months and a half of severe air traffic restrictions due to the Covid-19 epidemic, regular passenger transport services resumed at Ljubljana airport on Friday. The first flight was operated by Air Serbia with the airport expecting most airlines to return by early July.

The return will depend on efforts to lift border restrictions and promote the destinations, said airport operator Fraport Slovenija, adding that the airport had been forced to rationalise expenditure, including in investment projects, due to a major loss of revenue.

Following today's landing of an Air Serbia aircraft coming from Belgrade, Fraport Slovenija director Zmago Skobir said that other flights were to follow in the coming weeks.

The relaunch of regular services will take place in three parts: by 15 June, the airport expects to see the return of Lufthansa, Montenegro Airlines and a Polish carrier; by the end of June, Swiss Air, Air Brussels, Transavio and British Airways; and after 1 July, the return of other airlines.

Meanwhile, Iberia and Finnair have decided not to fly to Slovenia in this year's summer season.

Charter flights are also scheduled with key Slovenian tour operators announcing the first flights for the second half of July and in August.

Since Slovenia's border with Croatia has been reopened, flight services between Ljubljana and Dubrovnik are in the pipeline. Providing a connection with Greece is slated to be next.

Air Serbia Director General Duncan Naysmith said today that flights to Ljubljana meant resuming regional air traffic. Between 29 May and 21 June, the carrier plans to carry out eleven return flights. Air Serbia hopes that the demand will be big enough to warrant an increase in the number of weekly flights to Ljubljana.

Services will still be restricted this year given that carriers have been reducing their fleets. Skobir has pointed out that securing passengers' trust in the safety of air travel will be one of the key factors in resuming services.

Since international air passenger transport was banned on 17 March, Fraport Slovenija has recorded only 15% of normal revenue.

The operator has urged the relevant ministries to provide aid, however, according to Skobir, air transport has not seen any special stimulus measures designed to help mitigate the economic fallout so far.

What exactly cost-cutting efforts mean for employees Skobir could not yet tell. "The number of redundancies will depend on the forecasts of air carriers," he said, adding that the situation was uncertain.

The airport's major investment in expanding the passenger terminal is currently still planned to go ahead, however the project could be postponed due to the extreme circumstances.

All the anti-Covid-19 restrictions and guidelines, proposed by the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ), have been introduced at the airport to ensure the safety of passengers and staff.

Only passengers and staff can enter the terminal, mask-wearing is mandatory as well as using hand-sanitisers and maintaining physical distance.

Protective glass panels have also been set up to reduce contact between staff and passengers.

Temperature screenings have not been introduced so far since the institute has not deemed this measure obligatory or necessary.

Skobir added that in case the EU authorities proclaimed the measure mandatory, the airport would implement it.

The institute has also coordinated with the airport response protocols regarding potential cases indicating suspicion of infection with coronavirus.

In terms of passenger arrivals, all the measures in place for crossing Slovenia's land border apply.

The passengers arriving from Serbia, a non-EU country, today will thus have to be quarantined, except for Slovenian citizens, those owning a property in Slovenia or those with diplomatic passports, said Skobir.

Some 24 passengers, flying from Belgrade, landed at Ljubljana airport today, whereas about 40 flew back to Serbia on a return flight.

Among the first group was also a Slovenian who lives in Belgrade and tried to return to Slovenia multiple times during the epidemic but failed to do so until now due to lockdown measures.

The passenger reported that the flight had been without complications and that all the passengers had worn face masks with some even going as far as wearing gloves.

Government spokesman on coronavirus Jelko Kacin told the press at today's briefing that a total of twelve passengers arriving from Belgrade had to go into quarantine, whereas some preferred to return to their starting points after finding out about the measure.

Kacin pointed out that all the persons arriving from a third country had to undergo a mandatory quarantine period upon entering Slovenia regardless of their citizenship and residence.
