The pair chatted about their joint tour in a Monday appearance on The View after a jubilant performance of Donny Hathaway’s “This Christmas.”
“We were here five years ago to announce our Broadway Christmas special, which was exciting for us. We’re getting old, Ruben, we are about to celebrate our 20th anniversary from the year we were on Idol , and so Ruben and I are are hitting the road together with a 20th anniversary tour all across the country through the year,” Aiken told The View ‘s hosts. “We’re starting out this spring and we’re going to be celebrating the last 20 years since we did Idol and the music we’ve gotten to make and the friendships we made along the way.”
During the pair’s appearance on The View , they also revealed that they will be returning to American Idol in the upcoming season for the finale, as the finale date will coincide with their season two finale episode’s.
The second season of American Idol aired from January to May of 2003. Studdard faced off against Aiken in the finals, and ultimately won. Following the show, the pair remained close, which Aiken discussed in a Dec. 3 Instagram post .
“We don’t get to choose our family. Most family is predetermined by blood; some are predestined by God to come into our lives. I’ve got one brother who was born into my family and one brother who the good Lord introduced me to in 2003,” he wrote.

Along the way, the pair will drop into Patchogue’s Patchogue Theater on April 20 and Red Bank, NJ’s Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre on April 26.
Allegedly, when the two finalists were waiting to hear the results, Studdard said to Aiken, “Look at us. Who would have ever thought it? Two boys from the South that no one would have ever picked to be here, and here we are.”
Now, two decades later, they’re still here.
And, while Studdard defeated Aiken way back in Season Two, we’re all winners when it comes to ticket prices for these concerts.
In fact, we found some seats going for as low as $42 before fees on Vivid Seats.
Here’s everything you need to know about their upcoming “Twenty: The Tour.”

Clay has a presence on stage that is hard to put into words. He has grown quite a bit from the days of American Idol. There's not much to distract you from the pure singing performance during the concert. When Clay is on stage, your attention is drawn to him, and only him. Once Clay Aiken begins to sing, it's as if he becomes a part of the music. His eyes close, his voice comes out, and it really does feel like he's giving a part of himself through song. He has a powerful, powerful voice that carries far past the slight frame that stands on stage. His performance of 'Unchained Melody' was a really good example of this. When he belts out a tune, he really belts it out. There's a reason why people come to see Clay - he has a power to his voice that few can match. He might have lost to Ruben Studdard on the show, but his career after American Idol has proven which one was the real winner. Clay Aiken live in concert is something you really shouldn't miss.

Clay aiken to begin jukebox tour july 28, the american idol runner-up will perform cover songs from as far back as the '50's.
Multi-platinum RCA Records recording artist Clay Aiken will embark on the fifth headlining tour of his career with a celebration of all five decades of the rock era.
The Jukebox Tour, which is Aikens first since his successful Joyful Noise tour during the Christmas season of 2004, will reach back to the 50s and 60s for the earliest hits of rock and roll, move into the 70s and 80s for songs from Aikens childhood, and come all the way into the 90s and 00s for hits from modern times.
I thought it would be cool to sing a bunch of covers, and relate to everybody, said Aiken. There will be songs my mom likes and my grandparents like, and there are a lot of people who love the music of the 70s. I like the 80s, and were going to have a lot of fun with songs from the 90s.

The 00s section of the show will include songs from Aikens first album, the double-platinum Measure of a Man and will preview songs from his upcoming CD, which Aiken is about to go into the studio to begin recording.
The tour will also have a unique feature organized by Boomerang Mobile Media, as those with text messaging on their cell phones will have an opportunity to send messages to Clay backstage before each show and register to receive a post-show message from the artist. At many venues, attendees will be able to post their own text messages live, on screens in the venue. They will also have access to exclusive merchandise.
This started out as a show just to have some fun with, and as I got more excited about singing these songs, it became a bigger show, explains Aiken. Its a summer tour and the production will be simple because the real story is the music.
Its chance for people to remember where they were when they heard certain songs, he continues. I was born in 1978, but I love the music of the 50s and 60s and I know a lot of people do. Were going to have a lot of medleys in the show, including a doo-wop medley and one for all the great Motown hits. I made a prediction that everyone will be able to sing along to at least five songs, no matter when they grew up!
The Jukebox Tour will kick off July 28 in Tom River, NJ and will conclude on September 1st in Atlantic City, NJ, hitting 25 cities in between.

For each decade, Clay, Quiana Parler, Angela Fisher and Jacob Luttrell (his back up singers) changed into costumes reflective of that decade. For the song Car Wash, Clay chose a male member of the audience to come up on stage and sing with the back ups. In Toronto, instead of an audience member, he made Jaymes Foster sing with the group.
Clay also performed 4 songs he was considering for a new album, A Thousand Days, Back For More, Just You and Tears Run Dry. The only one of the four that made it onto his next album was A Thousand Days.

Kiss me baby, woo feels good Hold me baby, I want to love you like a lover should Your fine, so kind I want to tell the world that your mine mine mine mine
Awww, oh baby, awww, oh baby, awww, oh baby, awww
Rock ‘n roll is here to stay, it will never die It was meant to be that way, though I don’t know why I don’t care what people say, rock ‘n roll is here to stay We don’t care what people say, rock ‘n roll is here to stay
Oh Lets go to the hop Oh Twistin’ the night away Oh Goodness, gracious, great balls of fire We don’t care what people say, rock ‘n roll is here to stay!
——————————————————————————–
Oh, I could hide ’neath the wings Of the bluebird as she sings. The six o’clock alarm would never ring. But it rings, and I rise Wipe the sleep out of my eyes. My shavin’ razor’s cold and it stings.
Cheer up, sleepy jean. Oh, what can it mean. To a daydream believer And a homecoming queen.
When you’re alone and life is making you lonely You can always go – downtown When you’ve got troubles, all the noise and the hurry Seems to help, I know – downtown Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city Walk around the sidewalkd where neon signs are pretty How can you lose?
The lights are much brighter there You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares So go downtown, things’ll be great when you’re Downtown – no finer place, for sure Downtown – everything’s waiting for you Downtown
Can’t buy me love, love Can’t buy me love
I’ll buy you a diamond ring my friend if it makes you feel alright I’ll give you anything my friend if it makes you feel alright ‘Cause I don’t care too much for money, money can’t buy me love
Can’t buy me love, everybody tells me so Can’t buy me love, no no no, no
Sugar, ah honey honey You are my candy girl And you’ve got me wanting you. Honey, ah sugar sugar You are my candy girl And you’ve got me wanting you.
I just can’t believe the loveliness Of loving you. I just can’t believe it’s true I just can’t believe the wonder Of this feeling, too. I just can’t believe it’s you
Imagine me and you, I do I think about you day and night, it’s only right To think about the girl you love and hold her tight So happy together
If I should call you up, invest a dime And you say you belong to me and ease my mind Imagine how the world could be, so very fine So happy together
I can’t see me lovin’ nobody but you For all my life When you’re with me, baby the skies’ll be blue For all my life
Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba-ba Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba-ba So happy together

Clay aiken – wonderful music and lots of fun.
Toms River Fest was a major festival event that used to be held at the campus of Toms River High School in Toms River Township, New Jersey, during the summer. The festival was a joint venture between Toms River Regional Schools and the concert promoter AEG Live Entertainment.
On July 27 th , 2005, Clay Aiken started his Jukebox Tour at Toms River Fest. The 26-city tour visited cities in the eastern U.S. and Toronto. The tour ended at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City.
The 2 ½ hour show included music from each decade from the 50’s to the present. Clay even included some planned future releases. Including all the songs performed as solos and in the decade medleys, over 70 songs were performed at each concert. Clay was very busy during the concert; however, each of his back-up singers performed a solo and was highlighted throughout the concert.
There were so many highlights in this concert. It would be impossible to mention them all, but the following are hard to forget.
Clay, entering the stage with a smirk and a snap of his fingers
Clay climbing up on the piano and singing “Great Balls of Fire.”
Clay singing Elvis and moving like Elvis
Clay standing at the microphone, singing Ricky Martin
The famous Fedora
The White leisure suit!!
The fun Clay had when he teased his back-up singers!
But what we remember the most is the wonderful music and joy that was a part of this concert.

A bike trip is sure to capture your heart. It enables you to see the heart of Moscow within the Boulevard Ring and to explore some non-touristic areas of the city, to get an image of the city centre and to work out at the same time.
Our tours differ and depend on whether you are interested in city scenery or nature-like landscape. A variety of places in Moscow are great for riding a bike: these are large parks, yards with old mansions, and historical streets in the centre.
Let’s see what’s waiting for you!
