The processing time of a visa application is approximately 15 working days, so applicants are advised to leave enough time - between the appointment date and travel date - for the Mission to process their visa application; no guarantees can be given on the visa application’s return date as delays may occur.

In order to avoid any delays in the visa application process, it is paramount that the visa application is complete and its documents submitted are as per the Mission’s requirements.

Applicants also need to be aware that, especially during busy season around Eid, Summer holidays (July and August) and Christmas, the appointments are being booked very quickly as the Mission only processes a fixed amount of visa applications on a daily basis.

Furthermore applicants need to consider that VFS/Mission’s closures and holidays may extend the visa application processing time.

Therefore VFS recommends all applicants:

  • To book their appointment as soon as they know they’ll be travelling
  • To ensure that their visa application’s documentation meets the Mission’s requirements
  • To leave enough processing time for the Mission

Please be advised that due to the above mentioned minimum processing time, we are not able to guarantee the return of passports by specific dates for travel.

This visa is for people wishes to travel to Cyprus for Business/Conference purpose or the same.

Important information concerning travel to the Turkish-occupied area of Cyprus

Ever since the illegal Turkish invasion of July 1974, over 36% of the territory of the Republic of Cyprus remains unlawfully occupied by the Turkish army (for more information click  here ). As a result of this, the Government of the Republic of Cyprus which is the sole legal and internationally recognized government on the island, is not in a position to exercise effective control over the occupied areas of its territory.

If you intend to travel to Cyprus, you should be aware that the so-called “trnC”, the secessionist entity unilaterally declared by the occupation regime, has been condemned and declared illegal and invalid by the International Community through United Nations Security Council Resolutions 541/83 and 550/84.

Currently, and subject to any temporary COVID-related restrictions, it is possible for foreign visitors who visit the government-controlled area of the Republic of Cyprus, to cross to the occupied areas.

You should be aware, however, that staying in properties owned by Greek Cypriot refugees who have been forced by the occupation army to flee, including hotels in the occupied area which are being illegally exploited, would put you at risk of possible legal action on the part of the owners.

Travelers entering the Republic of Cyprus via any illegally operating airport or port in the occupied area that has been declared closed in accordance with International Law, will be in breach of national legislation of the Republic of Cyprus. You are therefore urged to travel via the legal points of entry to the Republic of Cyprus, so as to avoid the risk of facing the consequences of the law.

The legal points of entry to the Republic of Cyprus are the intenational airports of Larnaca and Paphos and the ports of Larnaca, Limassol, Latsi and Paphos, which are situated in the area under the effective control of the Government of the Republic of Cyprus. Entry to the territory of the Republic of Cyprus via any other port or airport in the area of Cyprus in which the Government of the Republic does not exercise effective control (Turkish occupied area) is illegal.

5. Travel Information

A passport is required, except for holders of:

  • Laissez-Passer issued by the United Nations.
  • Travel Document issued to stateless persons and recognised refugees in accordance with the Geneva Convention of 1951.
  • Citizens of the European Union countries, as well as of Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway may enter Cyprus with their national identity card provided it contains a photograph.

What is a Visa?

A citizen of a foreign country who seeks to enter the United States generally must first obtain a U.S. visa, which is placed in the traveler’s passport, a travel document issued by the traveler’s country of citizenship or nationality.

Certain international travelers may be eligible to travel to the United States without a visa if they meet the requirements for visa-free travel under the Visa Waiver Program. The Visa section of this website is all about U.S. visas for foreign citizens to travel to the United States. If you cannot find what you are looking for here, please visit Travel.State.gov  for additional information.

Note: U.S. citizens do not need a U.S. visa for travel to the United States. When planning travel abroad a U.S. citizen may need a visa issued by the embassy or consulate of the country they wish to visit.

Do You Already Know What Type of Visa You Need?

For nonimmigrant visas , you can go directly to the online application form DS-160 ; then proceed to the Official U.S. Department of State Visa Appointment Service to pay the (MRV) fee and schedule your interview.

For immigrant visas , which are issued to foreign nationals who intend to live and work permanently in the United States, go directly to the USCIS site for the relevant forms.

If you are unsure what type of visa you need, please use the Visa Wizard below.

Unfortunately, I have called Cyprus Consulate Manila multiple times this month AND last month and the same person who picks up the phone says that they have stopped accepting tourist visa applications. Odd thing is she has inconsistencies with her answer. When i called last week 09.22, she said the last one was yesterday (09. 21). When I called today 09.30, she said the same exact thing “last one was yesterday, which is 09.29?”. Fishy indeed. And when I asked her why they have stopped, she just says “ganon lang eh. Wala pang advice (it is what is. No advice yet). And asked me to call back NEXT MONTH. I’m sure she is just doing her job but atleast they could have some transparency when we can schedule the interview.

I hope i can get a tourist visa from Philippines to Cyprus. I have been travel few countries like Morocco, Malaysia, Thailand, UAE, Oman and Qatar and i plan to go to Cyprus for tourist. I wish i go to Cyprus for tourist visa and see the beautiful place of Cyprus

Hi, I know some countries require an amount of money to travel. When it comes to cyprus, do they require anything for them to at least know you are capable on travelling? If yes, any digit youmay advise?
