This was both entertaining and super informative! Our tour guide, Chase, provided a well-curated experience throughout the french quarters that hit all the spooky and historical spots. I would recommend this tour for anyone looking to learn about nola while enjoying the nightlife of drinking and mingling amongst the bustling city!

I really enjoyed how authentically enthusiastic our tour guide was. She was honest, and did a really good job at telling backstory to give perspective. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour!

Our guide, Chase, was awesome. He obviously has a love for what he does and foe New Orleans history. He is knowledgeable and spent extra time addressing the questions of the children on the tour. We learned a lot of new information we did not know about the city and the vast, rich history. We would definitely recommend the tour, and Chase, to anyone who visits.

Tiny was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable. I enjoyed the fact he told the history of various locations in a story so it was easy to understand from the youngest tourist to the seasoned ones. He answered all of our questions and placed humor and spookiness in the right spots. I highly recommend this tour with Tiny as your tour guide.

I chose to do the Vampire Tour. On the night I did the tour, there was only myself and another guest - this may be due to the rain and chilly temperature. Rose was my tour guide. She is AMAZING! She is very knowledgeable about the subject. Despite only entertaining 2 guests, Rose's energy was captivating as she told fun facts about filming locations to crime history about vampires. I was even surprised when Rose offered to answer any questions we may have as I never thought tour guides would do. It was definitely worth it. I wish I went on more tours with Haunted History, but my time in New Orleans was limited. Pro tip: definitely tip your tour guide!

When I visited New Orleans for a bachelorette party and was told there was a haunted tour of the French Quarter on the itinerary... I thought about skipping, faking sick, anything to let me eat food instead of subjecting my scaredy-cat self to voluntary scariness. I'm SO so glad I went on this tour, because it was incredibly informative and fun and not scary at all! There are no paid actors who jump out at you to try to squeeze screams from your tour group. Our tour showed some haunted hot spots but in a very educational way, allowing us to learn about New Orleans and its history with war, disease, slavery, Europe, and more. Honestly, I was surprised we lost so much of our group to a pit stop halfway-through -- the weather was very cold but I was so totally into the tour and hung onto our guide's every word and took my bathroom break as fast as humanly possible so I wouldn't miss anything. If you're hoping for something spooky, try taking some flash photos at the stops to see if you catch something otherworldly oOOOoOOoh (not me, you could not pay me to do that). I really appreciated our guide for giving us so much great information in a not-too-scary way, emphasizing the human elements of these stories and not giving in to too much of the sensationalism. For example, the LaLaurie mansion is very famous for the terrible things discovered there and the hauntings that followed, but our guide told us if we were so interested in learning about the gruesome conditions of the people who were kept there we could look those up as she was not going to indulge in those graphic descriptions. Instead we were able to learn about the context of the time the LaLaurie family lived here and the uses of the mansion after, with stories of the types of hauntings that took place of course. I have to be honest and say I went into this really skeptical and fully prepared to be terrified and have a bad time, but I had an incredible time and was able to relay the info from the tour to my friends who were too distracted by the cold to pay attention to every single word like I did. It's been something I've recommended to folks visiting New Orleans ever since. I highly highly recommend this for people who are interested in history and would say you may not love it as much if you're hoping for real scares and thrills instead of learning about history.

What an awesome tour! I have been on many inside French Quarter but, we actually went to some different places. We had Ariadne Blayde with Viator tours. She was early 30's with a great sense of humor. She was knowledgeable and loved what she did. She even has a published book about the Haunted French Quarter. Highly recommend!

Photo of Santiago V.

Stella was fantastic she gave an excellent and compelling story telling through out the entire session, it was truly an experience to enjoy with family and friends!

We did the French quarter ghosts and legends tour and it was amazing! Our guide Randy was phenomenal. The thing I loved most about this tour was they focused on the history behind the ghost stories.

Toast was an amazing host on the Cities of the Dead cemetery history tour! He shared so much interesting information with us and some great stories too! When I looked at my watch for the first time, I could hardly believe our tour was almost over! It went so fast because we were enthralled with our guideToast who was funny, easy going, and friendly. He also took his role very seriously and made sure everyone was respectful since we were in the cemeteries so that there could continue to be tours. I would highly recommend this tour & requesting Toast as your guide!

Photo of Alan R.

We went on the "Cities of the Dead Cemetery History Tour" by way of the Go City pass. Toast, our guide, was amazing. He is friendly and outgoing and experienced as a tour guide; I felt he really gelled with our group, and truly enjoys what he does. He is very knowledgeable about an amazing array of topics, spouting a litany of facts (researched, not hearsay or old wives' tales) including dates, people, historical and more recent events, as well as their significance to New Orleans and its people. He also understands and points out the religious and spiritual relevance of symbols and rituals in the cemeteries. His rapid-fire delivery of cultural references, puns, personal anecdotes, amusing stories, and other interesting facts and events kept us fully engaged and made the two hour tour really fly by. Toast takes his job very seriously and made sure we stayed safe and respectful of the places we toured. I recommend having him as your guide on this tour; you'll be glad he was.

This was a fun walking tour where we learned a bit about the city's history and architecture, including some scary stuff! Walking in the evening was enjoyable, especially when daytime was so hot. The tour guide was funny and able to answer all of our questions. I also met some nice people on the tour and had some interesting conversation along the way. I would go again.

Rose Sinister is the first walking tour host I've ever experienced, and in New Orleans which is one of the best cities in the world. The vampire tour of the French Quarter is so informational and entertaining, especially if you're a lifelong supernatural, cosmic fan like myself. She talked about all my favorite vampire shows and movies and had intimate knowledge of vampire folklore. 1,000/10 would recommend and do again!

Compliance status

Screen-reader and keyboard navigation.

  • Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. For example, we provide accurate form labels; descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.); validation guidance for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (popups), and others. Additionally, the background process scans all of the website’s images and provides an accurate and meaningful image-object-recognition-based description as an ALT (alternate text) tag for images that are not described. It will also extract texts that are embedded within the image, using an OCR (optical character recognition) technology. To turn on screen-reader adjustments at any time, users need only to press the Alt+1 keyboard combination. Screen-reader users also get automatic announcements to turn the Screen-reader mode on as soon as they enter the website. These adjustments are compatible with all popular screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.
  • Keyboard navigation optimization: The background process also adjusts the website’s HTML, and adds various behaviors using JavaScript code to make the website operable by the keyboard. This includes the ability to navigate the website using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys, operate dropdowns with the arrow keys, close them with Esc, trigger buttons and links using the Enter key, navigate between radio and checkbox elements using the arrow keys, and fill them in with the Spacebar or Enter key.Additionally, keyboard users will find quick-navigation and content-skip menus, available at any time by clicking Alt+1, or as the first elements of the site while navigating with the keyboard. The background process also handles triggered popups by moving the keyboard focus towards them as soon as they appear, and not allow the focus drift outside of it.Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.

Disability profiles supported in our website

  • Epilepsy Safe Mode: this profile enables people with epilepsy to use the website safely by eliminating the risk of seizures that result from flashing or blinking animations and risky color combinations.
  • Visually Impaired Mode: this mode adjusts the website for the convenience of users with visual impairments such as Degrading Eyesight, Tunnel Vision, Cataract, Glaucoma, and others.
  • Cognitive Disability Mode: this mode provides different assistive options to help users with cognitive impairments such as Dyslexia, Autism, CVA, and others, to focus on the essential elements of the website more easily.
  • ADHD Friendly Mode: this mode helps users with ADHD and Neurodevelopmental disorders to read, browse, and focus on the main website elements more easily while significantly reducing distractions.
  • Blindness Mode: this mode configures the website to be compatible with screen-readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. A screen-reader is software for blind users that is installed on a computer and smartphone, and websites must be compatible with it.
  • Keyboard Navigation Profile (Motor-Impaired): this profile enables motor-impaired persons to operate the website using the keyboard Tab, Shift+Tab, and the Enter keys. Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.

Additional UI, design, and readability adjustments

  • Font adjustments – users, can increase and decrease its size, change its family (type), adjust the spacing, alignment, line height, and more.
  • Color adjustments – users can select various color contrast profiles such as light, dark, inverted, and monochrome. Additionally, users can swap color schemes of titles, texts, and backgrounds, with over 7 different coloring options.
  • Animations – epileptic users can stop all running animations with the click of a button. Animations controlled by the interface include videos, GIFs, and CSS flashing transitions.
  • Content highlighting – users can choose to emphasize important elements such as links and titles. They can also choose to highlight focused or hovered elements only.
  • Audio muting – users with hearing devices may experience headaches or other issues due to automatic audio playing. This option lets users mute the entire website instantly.
  • Cognitive disorders – we utilize a search engine that is linked to Wikipedia and Wiktionary, allowing people with cognitive disorders to decipher meanings of phrases, initials, slang, and others.
  • Additional functions – we provide users the option to change cursor color and size, use a printing mode, enable a virtual keyboard, and many other functions.

Moscow: City Sightseeing by Car/Bus

Visiting a new city is akin to going on a first date, it is something you will never forget. Many people imagine Moscow as just a bunch of sporadic landmarks: Red Square, the Kremlin, Lenin’s Mausoleum and GUM. There is so much more to this wonderful city than that and even though we only have a few hours, we will do all we can to show you everything we know and love about our capital in one fell swoop. We will take you on a journey through the ages, from centuries ago, right up to the modern day, soaking in the sights of this vast and bustling metropolis. Bright, luxurious and both ancient and modern at the same time, Moscow invites you on a date you’ll never forget!

On our sightseeing bus tour of the city, you will see:

  • The wonderfully historic city centre and its unique museums, magnificent cathedrals, the exquisite Chambers of the Romanov Boyars and of course, the famous towering red brick walls of the Kremlin, The charming beauty of the Alexander Garden awaits the capital's guests - a lush green oasis in the midst of the glass and concrete clad metropolis, basking in the etherial aura emanating from the whitewashed stone walls of the restored Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, the world- renowned fairytale onion domes of St. Basil's Cathedral and other impressive monumental buildings such as the library built in Lenin's honour - the Russian State Library - and the State Duma.
  • The Lubyanka KGB headquarters is notorious to members of older generations and although nowadays, the face of the secret police has changed dramatically, the looming enigmatic building on the waterfront maintains its aura of mystery, shrouded in a variety of murky rumours and dark myths. Then, there’s another of Moscow's main attractions - the marvellous Bolshoi Theatre, yew simply cant leave Moscow without taking in its breathtaking architecture. Engrained in the fabric of Russia's cultural heritage, virtuoso performers such as prima ballerina Galina Ulanova, opera singer Feodor Chaliapin and pianist, composer and conductor Sergei Rachmaninoff once stood centre stage of this vaunted institution.
  • The memorial complex on Poklonnaya Hill was constructed in the glory and honour of our heroes who defended our nation in the many crucial battles of the Great Patriotic War (WWII). This is a place that embodies a particularly acute and inextricable link between older ancf younger generations. Moving on to the Moscow International Business Centre, not dubbed ‘Moscow City' for nothing, a true glimpse of the future in the present. This incredible, rather jaw-dropping project in the capital has shown that Moscow has come to accept the age of the skyscraper. Finally, the stunning views from the observation deck at Sparrow Hills will leave professional and amateur photographers alike itching to capture them. How could one resist?
