The Subaru Outback Roof Rack is a fully modular rack designed for Outback’s from 2020-2022.

Prinsu Roof Racks are designed to be modular in order to fit whatever lifestyle and hobbies you have. Our one-of-a-kind crossbars feature drop-in points for easy mounting of hundreds of different accessories. This means that whether you are hitting the slopes for a ski trip or going to the beach for a surf trip your Prinsu Rack will get you there.

All Prinsu Racks are made of high-grade aluminum to ensure you get the best quality product on the market. The aluminum construction keeps weight down so you don’t have to worry about overloading your rig. Even though the rack is lightweight it can still hold its fair share. Most Prinsu racks have a static load capacity of 1,000 lbs and a dynamic load limit of 500 lbs.

This Roof Rack requires drilling into the factory roof for installations of plus nuts. On some models, and depending on installation, the rear mounting hardware may conflict with the airbag mounting bracket. Unlike other roof racks on the market, NashFab roof racks were designed for an easy one-man install! Our racks do not require complete assembly prior to installation and no additional help is needed to install on your vehicle! Side rails easily slide on and mount to roof brackets. Crossbars are then dropped in and can slide forward or backward to your desired mounting location.

Local Installation Is Available ( The interior Headliner does need to be dropped to access the OEM roof rack hardware for removal and to Install The NashFab Roof Rack! There are several online videos showing how to do this.

Really like the look, install took waaaay too long. Had to disassemble the headliner, all the pillars and airbags, all understandable and i had planned for it, however there were 8 holes left in The roof that had no plugs or provisions for. And all those holes are in the now exposed gutter, i plugged them with automotive seam filler that luckily i had. This is definitely an intermediate level installation. I also added roof lighting and am super happy with the final look. So, good product, but a more complete install kit wiuld of been preferable

I absolutely love this rack strong and super tight fit aero and sleek. I have a roof top tent and it olds all the weight, No problem. I purchased it with the Molle Racks on both sides and they function very well to add rotopax gas and water for the long trips. + They just look cool, let's be honest. A must for me and my overland trip game changer! Only negative a bit difficult to install but well worth it.

If a RalliTEK branded product covered by this warranty fails due to a manufacturing defect we will repair the product, without charge, or replace it at our discretion. Ordered this along with my brush-bar. Decent quality except one part was mal-formed when created (the spot for the nut capture was dented in prior to powder-coating). I emailed them to ask for a replacement. They said sure. I've emailed them now a bunch of times, never got my replacement. So my lights are sitting in a damn box. And I'll be damned if I send them more money for another potentially useless bracket.

Great rack I love it so far. I wish it came with a wind fairing or something to make it less noisy when sun roof is open. Very very loud but closed sunroof and it’s fine. Directions should be clearer because I had hard time understanding how many slider nuts to add before I assembled it. I had to take it apart partially to remove those sliders for later. And after I bought it I noticed rhino rack is making a more aerodynamic one but oh well I like this for my small Watermaster fly fishing raft to portage back to camp after we fish. This is an excellent product; however, almost every vehicle installation like this has some issues.

This good news first: The sliders provide a much clearer appearance to the Wilderness than the cladding they replace. They are very robust and effective. They are not bulky. They provide a step up to items stored on your load bars like tools, bikes, pods or traction devices. They are nicely finished.

The not-so-good news: The sliders can be difficult to install. The rivnuts can be a bear to deal with. I did not use a pneumatic rivnut installation tool. I don't believe they are recommended (too powerful). I used a very high-quality install tool that I have used before. When installing the bolts, the "nut" would occasionally spin. It wasn't the end of the world, but it was tedious. Patient and experience help. Don't lose patience.

The quality of the rivnuts appeared first rate. I'm not anticipating any rusting like 95% of Amazon's rivnuts do. CAtuned provides fine materials.

The sliders' holes do not line up perfectly with the Wilderness's. It's an excellent match, but not perfect (nothing is). Use vice grips (with towels in the jaws) to aligned some of the holes. Again, just be patient.

When I was all done with this minor project I felt it was time, money and effort well worth it. Just don't expect anything as bolt-on friendly as CAtuned's brush bar.

The sliders are an EXCELLENT product and Adventure Rig Shop provided EXCELLENT service.

Very pleased indeed!

22 Wilderness Roof rack setup question

Im super confused. Ive had 4 outback’s with the silly factory crossbar racks. Looking at a new wilderness now. I can’t find info on the roof rack set up. Looks like it comes with attachments and roof rails, but no crossbars correct? If so, what else is needed to get a good crossbar setup going? I need to buy a rooftop cargo box setup and would like to make sure I’m considering all the parts and options. Any insight is appreciated….✌🏼

I see that almost all your questions are answered. Just a friendly reminder to consider your load and what you plan on putting up there. Crossbars that clamp down like a claw (low-profile or Aero) generally have less payload capacity than ones that sit above the rails and attach with feet (which are generally secured with a strap instead of a claw-like clamp). Although dynamic (moving) capacity is similar, static capacity (non-moving) is generally a lot higher with the latter crossbars.  

Good point - the nearly-flush ones I've seen here look very nice and, well, nearly flush. However, the metal cross-bar does not extend over the side-rail, only the plastic clamping mechanism. Therefore, it can only hold as much weight as these plastic clamps can support, regardless of the cross-bar material.

I had to take the car into the Subaru dealership to install, had to convince them do it for me because they didn’t want to take on the liability. The it took a senior tech 5 hours to do with all his upholstery tools and everything.

This cost an additional $600.

I think Subaru is the only model like this because the standard roof racks have to be removed and to do that you have to remove every interior panel on the car

Love this rack! I'm driving cross-country from Washington to South Carolina, and needed something reliable for my longboards. Rooftop Overland (especially Bryan) were great in helping me with selecting a rack that'll fit my Tundra, and also helping with shipping (I was in a time pinch).

The Rhino rack fits well, although the instructions can be a bit confusing.

So far, 2 days in to my trip - been through high winds, rain, sleet and snow. No problem with the rack, it's solid.

I fully recommend buying from Rooftop Overland and their team! I probably wouldn't have considered this rack had it not been for their help - and totally happy.

Wish they had just some simple instructions and some stickers, but happy with the skid plate.
