The Eras tour is the sixth headlining concert from Taylor Swift and has been described by the singer-songwriter as a journey through all of her "musical eras". The tour is a tribute to all of Swift's studio albums to date, including her latest, 'Midnights', and those that did not have a tour due to the pandemic, including Lover, Folklore and Evermore.

The singer kicked off the record-breaking tour back in March, impressing loyal fans - or Swifties as they're better know - with a staggering 44-strong setlist lasting over three hours. When the tour does finally arrive on our shores, we're set for quite the show.

Those who have attended dates on her US leg have already seen her smash out hits through a torrential storm, dive head first into the stage, and tease the release of her next rerecorded album, ‘Speak Now: Taylor’s Version’. She’s also been joined by special guests including Ice Spice, Phoebe Bridgers, and Jack Antonoff, and performed a number of surprise tracks from her massive back catalogue as well as new tracks including 'Lavender Haze' and 'Midnight Rain'.

The American songstress also recently announced tour dates in South America - where Sabrina Carpenter will open for her. The tour is currently stopping off in locations across North America, before heading to Mexico, Argentina and Brazil in late 2023.

Taylor Swift performs during The Eras Tour, at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.

Taylor Swift  has announced a host of international dates for her The Eras Tour including shows in Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff and London.

The pop superstar, who has been touring the US performing hit tracks from her back catalogue, tweeted a tour poster announcing the new dates on Tuesday.

She wrote: "Excuse me Hi I have something to say.

"I can’t wait to see so many of you on The Eras Tour next year at these new international dates!"

The world tour starting in August of this year and ending a year later will see her travel across five continents.

Dates include two shows in Edinburgh, two in Liverpool, one in Cardiff and four in London.

Ms Swift will also play two dates in Dublin.

Fans can get tickets by registering on Ticketmaster before Thursday, June 22.

They will then receive a unique code to give them first access to purchase tickets.

Joining her will be special guest Sabrina Carpenter, a singer and actress with credits in Tall Girl, Work It and The Hate U Give.

For her US dates she is revolving artists to open for her including indie singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers, Paramore, beabadoobee, girl in red, Muna, HAIM, Gayle, Gracie Abrams and Owenn.

Swift has recently broken a string of records with her tenth studio album Midnights, which became Spotify’s most streamed album in a single day.

It claimed the biggest first week of UK album sales in 2022 since Adele’s 30 was released in November 2021 and took the title of the most streamed album of the year in its opening week with 72.5 million streams across the seven days.

The record follows after her previous eight UK chart-topping albums, all achieved consecutively: 2012’s Red, 2014 release 1989, 2017’s Reputation, 2019’s Lover, 2020’s Folklore, 2020’s Evermore and re-recordings Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version), both released in 2021.

Taylor Swift’s Eras tour to reach the UK and Europe in summer 2024

The pop star will play twenty-six stadium dates, including four nights at Wembley, following huge success in the US leg of the career-spanning tour

Taylor Swift’s Eras tour, whose three-hour, career-spanning shows have made it a huge critical and commercial success in the US, is to arrive in the UK and Europe.

The tour encompasses 26 stadium dates , beginning 9 May 2024 in Paris, followed by gigs in Stockholm, Madrid, Lisbon and Lyon.

The UK leg then begins on 7 June with two dates in Edinburgh, followed by two in Liverpool, one in Cardiff, and two in London’s Wembley Stadium.

Dublin, Amsterdam, Zurich, Milan, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Munich, Warsaw and Vienna follow, with two further Wembley Stadium dates closing the tour on 16 and 17 August. Registration for tickets is now open .

Eras is Swift’s first world tour since 2018, since when she has released four new studio albums. After 2019’s lovestruck pop album Lover, she spent the years when touring plans were disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic writing and recording a pair of more intimate, folksy records: Folklore and Evermore, both released in 2020. Midnights followed in 2022 and turned back towards pop, with songs rendered in pulsating synth-focused productions.

The tour has been acclaimed for its use of three stages made of digital display units, allowing Swift to execute eye-catching tricks such as appearing to dive into a swimming pool and emerge in an entirely new outfit.

Billboard has estimated gross ticket revenue from the US tour to be $591m, though that figure is based on average ticket prices – in an era of “dynamic pricing” by ticket companies, where what fans pay can change depending on demand, such estimates could easily fluctuate.

Ticketmaster saw enormous demand for the US tour, with 2.4m tickets sold in a single day: a new record. But the company was unprepared for the number of fans for the pre-sale period, and had to cancel a public sale of tickets, leading to a fan group suing the company . Swift said she was “pissed off” with Ticketmaster and the company apologised. But the fiasco led to debates in the US Congress over whether Ticketmaster and its parent company Live Nation hold too great a share of the live music marketplace.

A message regarding the UK and Europe tour warns hopeful fans: “Registration does not guarantee access to the sale or to tickets.” Some who do definitely qualify are those who were incentivised to buy Midnights from Swift’s own store, which ensured they had future access to the tour pre-sale – the tactic helped Midnights become the fastest-selling album of 2022, beating Arctic Monkeys to No 1 in a fierce chart battle. In a five-star review of the tour’s opening night in Glendale, Arizona, on 17 March, the Guardian’s Adrian Horton described it as “indisputably epic ... in sheer scope of songs and devotion to lyrics, no artist can match her”. Regarding Swift’s notoriously intense fans, she wrote: “such intensity, courted by Swift with notorious Easter egging and rewarding, can be eyeroll-inducing. But when viewed from inside the Swiftieverse, in a deafening stadium she comfortably commanded for over three hours, it is rapturous.”

Listen to this article

Every day that passes by is another day closer to Taylor Swift ’s return to the UK, this time bringing The Eras Tour with her with supporting act Paramore in tow!

With dates announced last June, Taylor ’s been quite literally taking over the globe with her latest tour from an epic stage wardrobe to even releasing the concert into cinema and on streaming platforms.

But the real joy came when Travis Kelce's girlfriend added extra shows to her tour, in particular three new shows at London’s Wembley Stadium, which opened up another 270,000 seats for fans.

Dates were officially released in 2023, with Taylor doing a small trip throughout the UK in June during the middle leg of her Europe tour.

From France, Sweden, Portugal and Spain, Taylor’s going to come party in the UK and then proceed to finish her Euro-tour hitting up Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Poland, Austria.

She’ll then return to London for five incredible nights in Wembley Stadium before jetting off to Canada to do it all again.

The devil works hard, but Taylor Swift works harder.

The exact dates and venues for The Eras Tour UK are below:

  • Edinburgh 7th June - 9th June
  • Liverpool 13th June - 15th June

Taylor Swift to release extended version of The Eras Tour

How much are Taylor Swift tickets UK 2024?

Original pricing for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour tickets on Ticketmaster had General Admission Standing tickets at £110.40.

Seating tickets were anywhere from £58.65 to £194.75 depending on how far back or high up seats were. Front sitting sat at £172.25.

With prices like that it’s no wonder Taylor made billionaire status last year.

Can I still get tickets to the Taylor Swift Eras tour?

Sorry Swifty fans, as expected, Taylor Swift has sold out seats and venues across the whole of the UK.

Tickets went on sale last year and obviously sold out faster than the tears falling from your face right now.

And it was anything but easy for those that did join the original fight for tickets as anyone who wanted to purchase ticket had to pre-register to get a code that would allow them into the site on the day.

On top of that, it was compulsory for the buyer of the tickets to be the one in attendance so say goodbye to asking mum to wait on the site for hours for you.

Luckily for anyone that's missed out though, Taylor will be dropping the entire set on Disney+ soon.

When Is Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Coming to the UK?

Mark your diaries as taylor swift has added more uk dates to her eras tour.

eras tour uk dates

Taylor Swift is in the midst of her Eras Tour in the US, and to say we're jealous of those who get to experience it is an understatement. From surprise guest performances , to celebrities being spotted in the crowd , Swifties have had quite a few T-Swizzle Easter eggs to sink their teeth into recently. UK fans finally got confirmation that the singer will soon take to the stage on British soil on 20 June, and now she has revealed more dates have been added to the schedule (and a new support act).

On 20 June, Swift confirmed via Twitter that she will be heading to the UK next summer. Swift wrote alongside a full calendar of international tour dates, "EXCUSE ME HI I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY 🙋‍♀️ I can't wait to see so many of you on The Eras Tour next year at these new international dates! Visit http://TaylorSwift.com/tour for more information on your registrations, pre-sales and on-sales!!"

She then gave fans an update on 5 July, tweeting: "Really can't contain my excitement because… we're adding 14 new shows to The Eras Tour. And I get to travel the world doing shows with @paramore!! Hayley and I have been friends since we were teens in Nashville and now we get to frolic around the UK/Europe next summer??? I'm screaming???"

Leading up to the big announcement, there was a hidden message about the 33-year-old superstar's plans to cross the pond. Eagle-eyed Swifties may have noticed this note originally beneath the "Taylor Swift The Eras Tour US Leg" sign, which read: "International dates to be announced." Swift also dropped hints about international tour dates — and specifically, about her journey to the UK — as British fans who pre-ordered her album "Midnights" before its October 2022 release were granted with an exciting message. "Pre-order the new Taylor Swift album 'Midnights' on any format from the official UK store to get special presale code access for forthcoming and yet-to-be-announced Taylor Swift UK show dates," it read.

While fans will already have had to register for pre-sale codes, the ticket sales are staggered depending on venue, beginning next week. And we're expecting a very high demand. In addition to the new dates, speculation has risen around a Glastonbury-shaped gap in Swift's schedule next summer, so could be be expecting a headline announcement imminently? Time will tell!

Fill that "Blank Space" in your calendar as soon as possible with these UK Eras Tour dates below.

How to get tickets for Taylor Swift’s 2024 UK Eras Tour, including price and extra London dates

It’s been five years since Tay last set foot on our shores

Chiara Wilkinson

Hot Swiftie summer is well and truly on the way. While Taylor Swift might currently be taking her Eras tour around Australia , it won’t be long before she hits UK  shores. Only a few more months to spend waiting around, pouring over set lists and constantly refreshing our feeds to hear news about the star.

On her US leg, we saw the mega star perform through a torrential storm, dive head first into the stage, partake in a short-lived (and bizarre) relationship with The 1975 frontman Matty Healy, and bring her ex Taylor Lautner out to do a few backflips. We can only hope that the UK leg will be just as exciting and spectacular.

And as any hardcore fan knows, Tay Tay truly is the gift that keeps on giving. After the chaotic scramble for UK tickets left thousands disappointed, she announced extra dates and is set to play 15 shows in the UK – including eight in London. Here's everything we know about Taylor’s Eras tour in the UK.

When is Taylor Swift coming to the UK as part of her 2024 Eras tour?

We now know for sure that Taylor is going on tour in the UK and dates have finally been announced. She’ll be over in two rounds throughout June and August – you can find out more about specific dates and locations below.

Two new London shows announced for the UK Eras tour

Additional shows were announced for London’s Wembley Stadium on August 19 and August 20, with tickets available to a limited number of fans who registered for London shows earlier this year.

When do Taylor Swift Eras tickets go on sale in the UK?

Tickets for the new London shows went on sale on November 14 and November 15, while tickets for the other shows went live last July.

How do the Ticketmaster on-sale codes work?

On July 5 2023, fans were contacted by Ticketmaster to let them know if they’ve received an ‘on-sale code’ or have been placed on a waiting list.

The ticketing platform stressed that tickets would be provided on a first come, first serve basis, meaning that not everyone who registered in advance will receive an on-sale code. If you were lucky enough to get one, it included timing details and a link to where the on-sale would occur, as well as a unique, non-transferable access code. However, the code did not guarantee that you would secure a ticket.

Fans who did not receive an email were placed on a waiting list until a later date when further tickets become available. Fingers crossed for you.

How can I register for tickets?

To help tickets reach the hands of fans who want to attend the shows, there was the opportunity to register for tickets. Registration closed on Thursday, June 22 at 11.59pm (local time) in the UK, and on Friday, June 23 at 11.59pm (local time) in Ireland and Europe.

Registered fans who received a unique code were able to use them to buy tickets in each city at specified dates and times. Fans who wanted an opportunity to access ticket sales in multiple cities needed to register once for each city they wanted to attend.

Was there any presale?

Fans who participated in the Taylor Swift UK store ‘Midnights’ album pre-order offer qualified for special pre-sale access to all UK and Ireland shows.

The first of those presales was on July 10 at 10am, which was for the London dates and some of the Edinburgh ones. More than 40,000 Swifties joined an online queue in an attempt to snap up tickets before the general sale. Other presales took place on July 11 (for Edinburgh and Dublin) and July 12 (Cardiff and Liverpool).

Unfortunately, if you missed out on pre-ordering the album, you had to wait for general sale to be in with a chance of grabbing tickets.

How much are Taylor Swift tickets in the UK?

For the London and Edinburgh date presales, tickets ranged in price from around £59 (for partial or obstructed view tickets) to £110 for general admission standing. Front standing was priced at about £172, while seated tickets went up to  £194.

Want to go VIP?

And if you’re absolutely swimming in wonga and have acute Swift-itis you can spend from £799 on hospitality packages that get you things like premium seats, arrival via the hospitality entrance, premium dining options and other cool-but-expensive things. Find out more here .

What’s going on with resale tickets?

With tickets as precious as these, it’s no wonder that they’re already being resold at extortionate prices. Despite a four ticket limit per buyer, resale sites Viagogo and Stubhub already have tickets being resold. Some are listed for as high as £6,000.

Needless to say, you should be especially careful when buying anything on resale and only buy from official resale websites.

What’s been said about the tour so far?

Taylor Swift kickstarted her tour at Arizona’s State Farm Stadium in March, where she debuted a mega three-hour set playing songs from across her career.

The production includes 16 dancers and many set and costume changes, as well as a moment where the singer appears to ‘dive’ into the stage.

At her show in Arlington, Texas, Swift teased the crowd saying: ‘One thing we said about the Eras Tour: you think you can just go online, you think you can just scroll and know the setlist?

‘Let it be said about the Eras Tour ,  we’re tricksy. That’s what we are [and] we enjoy a good, healthy setlist hijinks.'

Translation? Expect the unexpected.

What’s the current setlist for her Eras Tour?

The show is made up of an epic 44-song setlist divided up according to the singer’s ten ‘eras’, which each refer to one of her albums.

The songs included ‘ Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince’, ‘Cruel Summer’, ‘The Man’, ‘You Need to Calm Down’, ‘Lover’, ‘The Archer’, ‘Fearless’, ‘You Belong With Me,’ ‘Love Story’, ‘Tis The Damn Season’, ‘Don’t Blame Me’, ‘22’, ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’, ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’, ‘Shake it Off’, ‘Anti-Hero’, ‘Mastermind’ and ‘Karma’.

She also performs two different surprise acoustic songs each night and has invited other musicians to perform with her on stage including Phoebe Bridgers and The National’s Aaron Dessner.

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour: All the U.S. and international dates and opening acts

eras tour uk dates

Taylor Swift opened the Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona — which rebranded itself as "Swift Cit y" for the March 17 and 18 concerts — with a triumphant return to live performance as the first act in the history of that venue to sell out two nights on the same tour.

By that point, she'd already broken the all-time record for most concert tickets sold by an artist in a single day and passed Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour as the highest-grossing tour in history by a female artist.

And Swift rose to the occasion , leading her band through a marathon 44-song set that lasted more than three hours while delivering on her promise of "a journey through all of my musical eras."

So what does she do for an encore? Here's where the Eras Tour is headed next, adding two surprise songs to the set at each show. Here's a look at what she's played so far .

Taylor Swift

Brave Swifties who won the great war, we have less than a year to prepare for the international leg of Taylor Swift ’s Eras Tour.

And for those of us who didn’t manage to grab tickets, don’t fear as the Eras Tour concert movie will be coming to UK cinemas in just a few weeks time!

There’s no way of knowing if Taylor will switch up her entire set list for the international dates, especially if she releases more vault tracks, but each album will still get a section – and will she be supported on tour by rumoured new beau Travis Kelce?

The 33-year-old has 10 studio albums, with three re-recorded Taylor’s Versions, each with a distinctive visual and sonic aesthetic known as an era.

Her Eras Tour takes fans on a three hour journey through her albums, starting with Lover and ending on most recent new release, Midnights.

With over 200 songs to pick from, the 10 time Grammy winner could really shake up her whole show for international fans.

Since starting the Eras Tour, Speak Now Taylor’s Version has stormed the charts but the album remains sparse at the shows, despite the popularity boost and vault tracks.

Debut also barely features in her set list, appearing solely in surprise songs for now – although if she re-releases her self titled album we might see Tim McGraw become permanent.

1989 and Reputation get more time during the show but these albums are also yet to be re-released by the singer, so vault tracks and new favourites could appear.

So far no vault track appears on her main set list, only core album songs have a permanent place on the Eras Tour.

Surprise songs

Each night Taylor Swift plays two surprise songs from her vast discography, these have included This Love and Clean from 1989 and Dear John and Last Kiss from Speak Now.

Taylor has not repeated a song yet but will run out of released songs after her June 2, 2024, show at Lyon, France.

After this point its not known what Taylor will decide to do, she could simply pick her favourites or sing the ones that she messed up the first time round.

All the UK dates will take place after this Lyon gig so fans need not despair if she’s already played a favourite at another concert – she could play it again.

We’re hoping for Foolish One, Wonderland, I Can See You, or Hits Different but that tells you far too much about us.

As Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Hits One Year, Let’s Take a Look at Its Staggering Numbers

O n March 17, it will officially have been one year since Taylor Swift's Eras Tour kicked off in Glendale, Ariz. In the 12 months since that fateful first show, Swift has broken untold records , made history as TIME's 2023 Person of the Year , cultivated a new legion of NFL fans , and announced her forthcoming 11th studio album— The Tortured Poets Department , out April 19—among a litany of other accomplishments.

By the end of 2023—less than halfway through its scheduled 152-show run—the Eras Tour had earned over $1 billion to become the highest-grossing concert tour of all time. During that period, every city where Swift played got a substantial economic boost from the so-called "Taylor Swift effect," a term that refers to the singer's unprecedented ability to influence consumer behavior. Following the inaugural U.S. leg of Eras, the U.S. Travel Association estimated that the tour's total economic impact likely exceeded $10 billion.

In the new year, Swift's staggering popularity seems to somehow still be on the rise. Less than a week after watching her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, win the Super Bowl, Swift played to the biggest concert crowd of her career while performing at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Australia during the first run of 2024 Eras dates, following four shows in Tokyo.

In honor of the first anniversary of the start of the Eras Tour, we're taking a numerical look back at the biggest year of Swift's career to date.

Read More: 2023 Person of the Year: Taylor Swift

Number of Eras shows and cities

Swift will have played 83 shows across 30 cities as of March 17. Of those shows, 53 took place in the U.S. in 20 different cities stateside. The remaining 30 were part of the Latin America and Asia-Pacific legs of the tour. By the end of 2024, Swift is set to play a grand total of 152 Eras shows across 54 cities worldwide.

Number of surprise songs

In addition to her 40-plus-song set list, Swift has played at least two "surprise songs" per Eras show. Taking repeats into account, she has performed 145 different tracks (counting mashups of repeat songs as unique entries) as her 167 surprise offerings.

Number of special guests

From MUNA to Sabrina Carpenter to Haim, Swift's Eras stops have featured 10 different opening acts. She has also brought out eight other special guests, from Maren Morris to frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff, to join her on stage at various shows.

Number of people in attendance at her biggest show to date

Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour - Melbourne, Australia

Swift played three back-to-back shows at MCG on Feb. 16, 17, and 18 that were each attended by a record 96,000 people for a three-day total of 288,000 concertgoers. Ed Sheeran, who drew a crowd of around 109,500 each of the two nights he played at MCG in 2023, still holds the venue's single-night attendance record. But that's largely due to the fact that Swift's stage setup took up more room in the arena, cutting down on the number of available seats.

Number of Eras tickets sold

Swift sold an estimated 4.35 million tickets across 60 tour dates within concert trade publication Pollstar's chart year of Nov. 17, 2022 to Nov. 15, 2023. That's an average of 72,500 tickets per show, with each ticket costing an average of $238.95. Using those numbers to extrapolate across shows played since then, Swift has likely now sold around 6.02 million tickets.

Total Eras Tour gross

Based on the approximately $17.32 million in ticket revenue Pollstar estimates Swift earned for each of the first 60 Eras dates, her total tour gross currently sits somewhere around $1.44 billion. By the end of 2024, the tour is expected to have brought in an astronomical $2.165 billion. For comparison, the second-highest grossing tour of all time, Elton John’s multi-year Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, sold six million tickets over the course of 328 shows to earn $939 million.

Total Eras merch revenue

Taylor Swift Fans Descend On Melbourne Cricket Ground

According to reports from different venues, Pollstar estimates Eras attendees were spending an average of $40 per person on merch at the first 60 Eras shows. That puts Swift's tour merch revenue at an estimated $240.8 million—not including non-concert day purchases—following her first run of 2024 Eras dates.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour box-office earnings

Since its Oct. 13 release in theaters, Swift's record-breaking three-and-a-half-hour concert film has grossed $180,756,269 in North America and $261,656,269 globally at the box office. An extended edition of the movie became available to rent via video on demand services on Swift's birthday, Dec. 13, followed by the longest and most complete version of the film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) , arriving on streaming on Disney+ March 14.

Number of new songs

Since the Eras Tour began, Swift has released two re-recorded albums, Speak Now (Taylor's Version) and 1989 (Taylor's Version) , and one new single, "You're Losing Me (From the Vault)," for a total of 45 new songs (including re-recorded songs and vault tracks). In their first week of sales, Speak Now (Taylor's Version) , which featured one Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hit, and 1989 (Taylor's Version) , which featured seven Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hits, sold 716,000 equivalent album units and 1.653 million equivalent album units, respectively. "You're Losing Me (From the Vault)" tallied 8.7 million official streams and sold 19,000 downloads in the U.S. in the first two days after its Nov. 29 debut, according to Luminate .

Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour has been out for a week on Disney+ , and there's no doubt some dedicated fans have watched it 13+ times. The three-and-a-half-hour phenomenon is a bedazzled force that moves through 49 songs from Swift's 10 eras. The movie was shot over three nights in Los Angeles and included helicopter, drone and onstage camera angles. By now everyone knows the ringleader of The Eras Tour, but what about the cast and crew who shine alongside her?

'Strike the band up, 1... 2... 3...'

The Eras Tour band is led by Mike Meadows and Max Bernstein. Meadows has been with Swift for more than 15 years, starting on her "Fearless" tour. The guitarist also sings and plays keyboards, cello, harmonica and mandolin. In a cute TikTok, his wife shared a compilation video from Nissan Stadium about how proud she is . Swift places her arm on Meadows during "Love Story" at 33:12.

Max Bernstein rocks out on the guitar, keyboards and pedal steel, which is a steel guitar with pedals and knee levers. He shared a post on Instagram with the caption , "So incredibly grateful to be a little part of the biggest and best show." He joined Swift for the "Reputation Stadium Tour" in 2018. His parents are journalists Nora Ephron and Carl Bernstein, and his brother Jacob is a reporter for The New York Times. Bernstein is to the right of Swift and her "Fearless" heart hands at 26:12.

Paul Sidoti may be the most well known band member. His distinct rocker hair is almost as big as his stage presence. Sidoti has been a vocalist and guitarist with the singer since 2007. He is approachable on the tour and has taken photos with fans in the audience. Sidoti's website also says he's available for "online guitar, bass, and piano lessons via Zoom." Swift touches Sidoti's face during "You Belong With Me" while singing "you've got a smile that can light up this whole town" at 28:15.

Amos Heller is the bassist. Like many of Swift's bandmates, the husband and father of three has been with her since 2007. Heller picked up his first electric bass at 13. His cover of Metallica's "Blackened" shows he's a master thrasher. Swift struts with Heller during "You Belong With Me" at 27:58.

Ooomph! Matthew Billingslea is the drummer crashing the cymbals, beating the toms and pedaling the bass. In 2023, he was nominated for pop drummer of the year at the Drumeo Awards. Billingslea joined Swift's band in 2013 for the Red Tour. Billingslea pops up during "Fearless" at 25:38.

Rounding out the bandmates is Karina DePiano . The classically trained pianist gets a shoutout from the singer following Swift's performance of "Champagne Problems." DePiano performs an interlude at 50:35 while Swift sets a table before singing "Tolerate It." DePiano started 2024 with a Pianote nomination for pop pianist of the year .

'We sing it proudly'

The fearless ladies who make up Swift's choir are "The Starlights."

Up first is Melanie Nyema , the section leader. The vocal virtuoso has backed many artists including Gladys Knight, Sara Bareilles, Solange Knowles, Florence + The Machine and Imagine Dragons. She's been with Swift since 2012 when she performed "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" at the VMAs. Check out her spiritual version of "Gotta Have You." Nyema is left of Swift at 30:33 when she hugs "The Starlights."

Kamilah Marshall is the vocalist dance captain. Marshall came into the fold during the Red Tour. Her song "Canyon" showcases her writing and singing in an outpouring of gratitude. The Broadway actress has credits including "Hairspray" and "Lion King." In 2021, she told the Academic Magnet High School newspaper in South Carolina, "I know I’m supposed to be doing what I do.” You can also see her in the dinner scene of " All Too Well: The Short Film ." Marshall is the "cheer captain" on the left at 28:52 during the "Fearless" era.

Jeslyn Gorman joined Swift during her Red Tour. The vocal riffer has a song, "Falling Like Snow," and has toured with stars Meghan Trainor, Jason Derulo, Rita Ora and Nick Jonas. The Florida native and latte enthusiast moved to Los Angeles. Gorman, like the other "Starlights," thanked Swift on her birthday, "Your heart and generosity is beyond BEYOND. And just when I think you’ve DONE IT, you TOP THAT!" Gorman shimmies at 32:40.

Eliotte Woodford wears the purple "Speak Now" dress and bangs the side of her vitrine during the "Look What You Made Me Do" portion of the Eras Tour at 1:07:38. Woodford has been with Swift since 2013. The wife and mother graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, where she was a part of the a cappella group the "Mosaic Whispers." Her singing and dancing reel shows her early work with Swift .

'I don't wanna dance if I'm not dancing with you'

Fifteen dancers led by choreographer Mandy Moore and associate choreographers Amanda Balen and Jeremy Hudson create some of the most iconic moments during the 10 eras. Moore met Swift through mutual friend Emma Stone who worked with Moore on "La La Land." Her credits are extensive. Most recently, she put together the exemplary Ryan Gosling performance of "I'm Just Ken" at the Oscars.

Amanda Balen is the dance captain. The blond beauty hails from Ontario, Canada. She is famous among the Lady Gaga fandom for dancing in several of the star's music videos and being a part of the Roseland Ballroom residency in New York City in 2014. Balen has worked with Katy Perry and Pink. You can find her at 14:18 during "The Man" to the left of Swift.

Tori Evans lights up the stage. In her decade-plus career, the University of Arizona alumnus has been featured in Ricky Martin music video "Qué Rico Fuera" , swam in synchro-formation next to Beyoncé and strutted on "The Masked Singer ." Evans' resume also includes dancing for Cardi B, Mary J Blige, Jason Derulo and Maroon 5. Her dance teacher of 15 years, Lana Wright, told Morgan Hill Life , "Tori was always that ray of sunshine... I always knew Tori could accomplish her goals, if she really wanted it." You can catch Evans during "Blank Space." She hands Swift a glow-up club at 2:13:45.

Audrey Douglass has danced with the devil, in addition to many other television credits. The performer has boogied and waltzed on Netflix's "Lucifer," Apple TV+'s "The Morning Show," FX's "American Horror Story: 1984," Paramount+'s "1923" and "Dancing with the Stars." Douglass serves up sass as "Shay" in Dua Lipa's "Physical" work out video . Dancing runs in the family, because Douglass' older sister, Hannah, was one of the co-captain dancers on Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour . As the "Lover" house burns down, you can see Douglass to the left of Swift at 2:22:52.

Jan Ravnik (pronounced "yawn") is the smooth dancer who caught the eye of social media with his abs-olutely distracting "Lavender Haze" ladder dance . The Slovenian dancer has worked with Paula Abdul, Mariah Carey, Bruno Mars, Khalid and Luis Fonsi. Ravnik was awarded the "Best Dancer in Slovenia" and credited as the "Best Trainer/Choreographer" by the Slovenian Olympic committee. When he's not grooving on the international stage, he goes for long distance bike rides and takes artsy photos. You can see what's got the internet's attention at 2:36:46.

Taylor Banks strikes like a viper at 55:48, during "...Ready For It?" Banks was born in New Orleans, grew up in Pennsylvania and moved to Los Angeles to shine. The dancer has been moving to the beat since she was 3 and been featured with artists including Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Cher, Ciara, Chris Brown, Jessie J, The Jacksons, Jason Derulo, Dua Lipa, Billie Eillish and Beyoncé. The fitness model has repped brands like Nike, Reebok, Skechers and Under Armour.

Sydney Moss was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. The spunky and fun dancer moved to Los Angeles after high school and has worked with Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Doja Cat, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez. Moss has a beautiful rendition of "You're Losing Me" with fellow dancer Jan Ravnik. She dresses Swift in her bejeweled blazer during "The Man" at 9:03.

Natalie Lecznar is a former Radio City Rockette. The Chapman University graduate married her college sweetheart. She was on Season 5 of "So You Think You Can Dance." The vibrant dancer is easy to spot with her fire-red locks. She is known for her performance in the "Folklore" era when she becomes Rebekah Harkness during the "Last Great American Dynasty" at 1:51:41.

Whyley Yoshimura , why don't you come on over and shake, shake, shake? The dancer notably flips his long hair, still smooth despite the humidity, during "Shake It Off" at 2:17:40. Yoshimura is a native Hawaiian who went to the Kamehameha Schools on Oahu. He started dancing for Janet Jackson at 18 and went on to be her assistant choreographer for the "Unbreakable Tour." He is an LGBTQI+ advocate for the Rainbow Railroad .

Raphael Thomas is the "Tolerate It" star at 54:02. The Jamaican's nickname is "The Sandman." He toured with Mary J. Blige on the "Good Morning Gorgeous" tour , was featured in Rihanna's "Savage X Fenty Show" on Amazon Prime, danced for Janet Jackson in the 85 West Music Festival and lit up the stage with Beyonce during her "Homecoming" performance at Coachella.

Kevin Scheitzbach polishes up real nice! The "Bejeweled" dancer gets a breakout moment at 2:47:13 strutting some of his best moves. Scheitzbach specializes in jazz funk and street styles of dance. He runs FlowXS , a choreography company, with his equally charismatic and talented brother Michael. The two grew up in Toronto, Canada.

Kameron Saunders is the only dancer with a speaking line that he switches up nightly at the Eras Tour during "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" at 1:26:33. The ebullient dancer also shines during a "Bejeweled" dance solo at 2:48:10. The Missourian was honored in Kansas City when the council dubbed Jan. 25 Kameron Saunders Day of Dance. You can catch him and his fast-footed moves in the ensemble of "The Color Purple" and "Spirited." Saunders' brother Khalen is a defensive tackle for the New Orleans Saints.

Natalie Peterson is a professional dancer, fitness instructor, dance educator and Amazon influencer . The Chapman University graduate specialized in Latin dance. Before the Eras Tour, she served as the assistant choreographer for Karol G’s "Bichota Tour" and got her Lagree Fitness certification. You can spot her twirling in "Style" on the right of Swift at 2:10:39.

Tamiya Lewis is the crowd pleaser who wheels the "Red" road case onto the stage. During the tour, she opens it to reveal song snippets from "State of Grace," "Holy Ground," "Red" and "Everything Has Changed" (depending on the show). That part was cut from the movie, but you still see her bringing the case onstage to unleash hundreds of red balloons at 1:20:12. The 21-year-old is an alumnus of the Velocity Dance Convention , a dance convention and competition that provides classes to dancers across the U.S.

Sam Mcwilliams is the lovable dancer who appears to the right of Swift at 2:09:56. If you don't blink, you can also catch his famous "Style" flip at 2:10:41. The Oregon native has been dancing for most of his life. Check out a video of him in 2017 dancing to Meghan Trainor's "Me Too." In 2021, he was named the Radix senior male core performer , and he almost made the top 12 on Season 17 of "So You Think You Can Dance." Recently, Mcwilliams showed off his lyrical, limber and tumble talents in a duet dance with fellow dancer Jan Ravnik .

Karen Chuang hands Swift her microphone during "The Man" at 9:26. A few seconds later as she's poring over a typewriter, Swift takes her paper and chucks it. Chuang is officially a Gleek as one of her first television appearances was as a Vocal Adrenaline dancer in "Another One Bites The Dust." She also performed in the 2016 "Grease Live!" and Lady Gaga's Super Bowl halftime show. Chuang graduated Summa Cum Laude from UCLA.

‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour' Breaks Disney+ Record as No. 1 Most-Streamed Music Film

Taylor Swift has set a new record with the premiere of her "Eras Tour" concert film on Disney+ .

"Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version)" had 4.6 million views on Disney+ in its first three days of release - making it the No. 1 music film ever on the platform, according to the company. Swifties watched 16.2 million hours of the blockbuster three-and-a-half-hour concert film on Disney+ over this past weekend. Disney+ defines a "view" as total stream time divided by runtime.

"The Eras Tour" debuted on Disney+ worldwide on Thursday, March 14, at 6 p.m. PT. The newly expanded version of the film includes five bonus songs: "Cardigan," from "Folklore," plus four acoustic songs: "Death by a Thousand Cuts," "Maroon," "You Are in Love" and "I Can See You." (Those four, plus "Our Song" and "You're on Your Own Kid," are in the 26-minute Acoustic Collection extra.) The film was shot at the first three L.A. shows of the Eras tour last August.

Other music films and specials currently available on Disney+ include Swift's own "Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions," "Elton John: Farewell From Dodger Stadium," "Black Is King: A Film by Beyoncé" and "The Beatles: Get Back."

Disney reportedly paid  more than $75 million for worldwide streaming rights to "The Eras Tour"  concert film, which Swift's company produced.

In its theatrical release, "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" generated $261.7 million at the global box office after its Oct. 13 debut, making it the highest-grossing concert film to date. The film was released digitally via Universal Pictures on Dec. 13, Swift's birthday, with three bonus songs not in the theatrical release - "Wildest Dreams," "The Archer" and "Long Live" - which are also in the Disney+ version.

1 April (next Monday) is nicknamed National Price Hike Day, as it's when government bodies and private companies traditionally increase the cost of goods and services ahead of the new financial year.

So what can we expect this year?

TV and broadband

BT, EE, Plusnet and Vodafone customers will be charged 7.9% more from April. These companies pin their prices to December's inflation figure plus 3.9%, which is common practice in the industry.

Virgin Media and O2, which merged in 2021, are upping prices by 8.8%, as they use the retail price index from January plus 3.9%. There are caveats which mean some O2 customers will see prices rise by less than this.

Sky is also implementing price rises, meaning most Sky TV and broadband customers will pay an average of 6.7% more from 1 April.

Council tax

Most people who live in councils with responsibility for social care in England will see their bills rise by the maximum of 4.99%.

In areas where the councils don't oversee social care, the rise for most will be 2.99%.

Birmingham City Council, which has declared effective bankruptcy, has been given permission to hike council tax by 21% over two years due to a black hole caused partly by equal pay claims and a botched IT systems rollout.

Council tax has been frozen by the devolved government in Scotland, while rises in Wales range anywhere from 3% to 21%. Northern Ireland uses a rating system instead of council tax, and rises are also expected here.

The annual cost of a standard colour TV licence will rise to £169.50 from 1 April - an increase of £10.50 on the current price of £159 a year.

Rent for social housing

The CPI rate of inflation in September - 6.7% - is used to determine the yearly rise in rents.

For 2024-25, the limit will be 6.7% plus an additional 1%.

The average household water and sewerage bill in England and Wales will go up by an average of 6% from April .

Water UK said the increases would leave households with an average annual bill of £473.

Vehicle excise duty will rise on all but the cleanest new and used cars in April.

Increases are generally calculated in line with the RPI rate of inflation and are expected to be about 6%.

Train fares

Rail fares will rise by 8.7% in April for those in Scotland, after the Scottish government argued previous fare freezes were not sustainable.

For those in England and Wales, fares rose by 4.9% on 3 March.

The Royal Mail will raise the price of stamps again as the company struggles with a decline in the number of letters being posted.

The price of a first class and second class stamp will increase by 10p to £1.35 and 85p respectively from 2 April.

It's not all bad news in April

National insurance

Chancellor Jeremy Hunt announced in the budget earlier this month that the starting rate for NI will change from 10% to 8% from 6 April.

This will benefit 27 million workers, he said, and is worth about £450 a year to an employee on an average salary of £35,000.

NI for two million self-employed workers is also being cut.

Their rate will fall from 8% to 6%. The government says that is worth £350 to a self-employed person earning £28,200.

Child benefit

The amount people can earn before child benefit is reduced or taken away is increasing.

At the moment, people lose 1% of the benefit for every £100 they earn over £50,000. At £60,000, the benefit is cut completely.

From April, the benefit won't be reduced until one parent earns more than £60,000. And it will only go completely at £80,000.

Benefits and tax credits that are linked to inflation will rise by 6.7% in April.

That was the level CPI in September.

For joint claimants over the age of 25, universal credit standard allowances will rise from £578.82 to £617.60 per month.

The basic and new state pension will rise by 8.5% in April - to £11,502 a year.

The new state pension is for those reaching state pension age on or after 6 April 2016. It will rise to £221.20 a week - up from £203.85.

Minimum wage

The National Minimum Wage for those 21 and over will rise to £11.44 - an increase of £1.02, or 9.8%.

There are larger percentage increases for younger age groups -as well as a 21.2% rise for apprentices (going up to £6.40).

Energy price cap

From 1 April to 30 June this year the price paid by a typical household that uses electricity and gas will go down to £1,690 a year.

This is £238 a year lower than the price cap between 1 January and 31 March this year.

For the first time, COVID-19 jabs will be available on the high street.

Boots has become the first major pharmacy to launch a private vaccination service, with at least 50 stores offering the single-dose Pfizer vaccine.

The shot will be available from 1 April for anyone aged 12 or over - but there's a hefty price tag.

The vaccine will be priced at £98.95.

Boots has said it is working to make the vaccine more affordable, but the COVID jabs are more expensive to produce than others.

Some people are still eligible to get a booster vaccine for free on the NHS - including those over 65 or with weakened immune systems due to conditions such as cancer.

The discount supermarket has said it plans to increase its animal welfare standards by allowing more space for its chickens to roam.

Chickens used in its own-label products will have 20% more space than the industry standard, with a maximum density of 30kg per square metre, Lidl said.

The transition will start this summer and should finish by early next year.

The move will provide chickens with more space to roam, which Lidl said "enables them to engage in natural behaviours like stretching their wings, dust bathing and exploring, bolstering both physical and psychological well-being, leading to more fulfilling lives".

Lidl GB chief commercial officer Richard Bourns said: "Animal welfare is a priority for us, and we are dedicated to ensuring all animals within our supply chain lead good lives."

The supermarket was previously criticised by campaign group The Humane League UK, which said it was "very resistant" to making changes on animal welfare.

It had called on Lidl and other supermarkets to sign the Better Chicken Commitment (BCC) - a welfare policy requiring the use of slower-growing breeds, more space, natural light and enrichment, less painful slaughter methods and third-party auditing.

Partners Ocado and M&S appear to have been involved in a tussle for some weeks, but the former has now insisted they are "absolutely aligned".

The retailers have been in a dispute after M&S put its final payment for the joint venture on hold, saying the online grocer partnership had failed to meet key performance targets.

M&S was due to pay £190.7m by August, dependent on the venture's performance against an undisclosed target in the year to November 2023.

Last month, Ocado Group chief executive Tim Steiner said he believed M&S owed a "substantial amount of money" and if a settlement was not agreed it could pursue litigation.

However, Ocado Retail chief executive Hannah Gibson has now insisted conversations are ongoing and it is not impacting day-to-day operations.

Ms Gibson claimed both companies were "working really closely operationally together".

"They were in a board meeting and there were positive conversations and relationships going on focused on what we're doing now to grow and improve the business," she said.

"I think we're all absolutely aligned."

Nearly four million smart meters across Great Britain are not working properly , government figures show.

While some 2.7 million meters were not operating in smart mode as of June 2023, that figure increased to 3.98 million by the end of last year, according to data from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ).

Fundraisers doing door-to-door collections for charities will be monitored more closely , the Fundraising Regulator has said.

News reports found recruits were being taught pressure-selling tactics, despite the Code of Fundraising Practice warning against putting "undue pressure" on people.

Charities must monitor subcontracting firms carrying out fundraising on their behalf more closely and must ensure fundraisers are given appropriate training.

ITV racked up millions of pounds in legal costs last year as it dealt with the fallout of the Phillip Schofield scandal , according to a report.

The broadcaster paid £24m in legal fees in 2023, some of which were related to a KC review into Schofield's affair with a young colleague.

The presenter of This Morning stepped down in May last year, saying his relationship with the studio runner was "unwise, but not illegal".

ITV was cleared of wrongdoing and has denied it paid a settlement to Schofield or his younger colleague.

Dragons' Den star Theo Paphitis has called on the government to close a tax loophole used by fast fashion giants such as Temu and Shein.

He argued companies are avoiding customs bills in the UK by shipping individual orders directly from countries like China, rather than shipping in bulk to fulfilment centres.

A UK rule means shipments worth less than £135 are exempt from import duties.

Basically, a recession is the decline of a country's gross domestic product (GDP).

It's worth explaining a bit more about what GDP is before we get in-depth on recession.

Gross domestic product is the world's most closely watched economic indicator. It measures how much is produced, how much is spent and how much is earned in an economy over a certain period of time.

When GDP goes up, the economy is considered to be doing well.

When it goes down - negative growth or economic contraction - it's not doing well.

The most commonly used definition of a recession is when GDP falls for at least two successive three-month periods, or "quarters".

The Office for National Statistics says the "two quarters" rule has the potential to be misleading, however, as there are other factors that might mean GDP falls for six months that won't mean an economy is in recession.

But it's widely used - including by the Bank of England - as a rule of thumb.

Recessions are temporary and part of the economic cycle. If an economic downturn is particularly severe or lasts for a long period of time, it's known as a depression.

Why do some people talk about a 'technical recession'?

You may have heard economists, journalists or statisticians use this phrase before.

As we've said above, in the UK a recession is defined as two consecutive quarters of negative economic growth regardless of how deep, wide-ranging and long an economic downturn is.

Some will use the phrase "technical recession" to identify that they're applying this prescriptive definition of a recession, compared to, say, the US where the National Bureau of Economic Research will consider a broader range of economic indicators, such as unemployment, job vacancies and wage data, before declaring whether the economy is in recession.

What causes a recession?

It's difficult to determine exactly what causes a recession, as a number of factors can be at play.

They can be triggered by rising interest rates, economic shocks such as that experienced during the COVID pandemic, excess debt in the housing market (2008 crisis) and oversupply of goods and services - among many other things.

What happens during a recession and how would it affect me?

During a recession there's less money circulating, which can mean job losses, pay cuts, recruitment freezes and businesses shutting up shop.

Getting a mortgage or loan during a recession will prove hard as banks tighten their lending criteria.

It is also likely a recession will not be felt equally across society, with those on benefits, in precarious work or without savings faring worse.

Are we in a recession now?

Figures released by the ONS last month showed the UK slipped into a recession at the end of 2023.

But the economy is set to grow more than expected in 2024, according to the Office for Budget Responsibility - the country's fiscal watchdog - which is also expecting better economic growth in 2025 than previously forecast.

Andrew Bailey, governor of the Bank of England, also hinted in February that the recession may "already be over". He told a committee of MPs he believed the downturn would be one of the most shallow recession events of modern times.

Prosecutions for low level offences such as speeding, truancy and TV licence fee non-payments are usually dealt with behind-closed-doors by the Single Justice Procedure (SJP).

It's designed to keep the court system efficient and minimise delays to more serious cases in the magistrates' courts.

But the Magistrates' Association has intervened to call for a reform of the SJP system, saying "flaws" in the system mean magistrates do not have enough time to consider cases and that it is harming "some of society's most vulnerable people".

The association is urging the Ministry of Justice to carry out a 12-point plan, including allowing prosecutors to see all pleas and mitigations beforehand, and letting the sittings be observed by journalists.

Up to 40,000 SJP cases are currently decided in private each month.

News reports say cases prosecuted by the SJP include a 78-year-old with dementia fined for not having car insurance while she was in a care home, a 33-year-old given a £781 legal bill after accidentally failing to pay £4 to the DVLA, and an 85-year-old woman prosecuted for not paying car insurance after suffering a broken neck and being admitted to a care home.

A black Uber Eats courier has been given a payout to end a legal claim in which he alleged he was unfairly blocked from work because the company's facial recognition app was racist.

Pa Manjang had his courier account suspended after being told security selfie checks he provided had "continued mismatches".

Couriers need to provide the photo checks at the start of their shifts, but Mr Manjang said he had been asked to take pictures of himself "multiple times a day" because the AI software failed to recognise him.

He told Uber Eats: "Your algorithm, by the looks of things, is racist."

The food delivery app has said its verification process also involves human reviewers.

Mr Manjang was backed by the Equality and Human Rights Commission and the App Drivers and Couriers Union, who funded his case.

Both said they were concerned by the use of AI in this instance, "particularly how it could be used to permanently suspend a driver's access to the app, depriving them of an income".

Uber Eats has made a settlement in the case, but reports suggest it accepts no liability.

The company said in a statement to Sky News that the real-time ID check "was not the reason for Mr Manjang's brief loss of access to his courier account".

"Our Real Time ID check is designed to help keep everyone who uses our app safe, and includes robust human review to make sure that we're not making decisions about someone's livelihood in a vacuum, without oversight," it said.

The possibility of a new record high being reached by the most valuable companies of the Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE) 100 has ebbed away.

The index is down slightly (0.06%) this morning, no longer within touching distance of the all-time high in the combined value of the FTSE 100 companies recorded in February last year, as the rally that came late last week receded.

The news that Asos sales fell 18% in the six months to March did nothing to dent the share price - it was up 7.6% but comes after a fall of 90% across the last three years.

Performing well this morning is gambling giant Flutter, the owner of Paddy Power and Betfair brands. Today it announced it is moving its primary stock exchange listing to New York on 31 May, a blow to London. But it also recorded revenue growth of 17.3% in the UK and Ireland as it said its market share grew in the countries.

Oil prices have fallen from the $87 a barrel cost of Monday and now the benchmark Brent crude oil costs $86.8.

A pound buys $1.2647 and €1.1659.

Chocolate is among the products placing upwards pressure on grocery inflation in the run-up to Easter, according to closely watched supermarket data.

Kantar Worldpanel, which tracks pricing and market share, reported a further slowing in the pace of price growth across the sector over the four weeks to 17 March.

It said the annual rate for grocery inflation eased to 4.5% - down from the 5.3% figure recorded the previous month.

The report credited price matching guarantees across the industry, as shoppers continue to seek out value amid the wider cost of living crisis that is continuing to damage household spending power despite wage growth firmly outstripping the rate of inflation.

Kantar reported that prices were rising fastest in markets such as sugar confectionery and chocolate confectionery.

Global cocoa prices have nearly doubled so far this year. Heavy rains in West Africa, where most of the world's cocoa is grown, have hit production.

Things falling fastest include butter, milk and toilet tissues, it found.
