Shakira Announces Dates For 2024 N. American Las Mujeres No Lloran Fall Arena Tour

After telling fans during her Coachella performance with Bizarrap last weekend that she would be touring this year, Shakira has announced the first leg of her 2024 Live Nation-promoted North American tour.

Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour - named in honor of her new album of the same name - will play 14 arena shows across North America, beginning Nov. 2 in Palm Desert, California, and ending December 15 in Detroit, Michigan. Tickets for the tour will be available beginning Wednesday (April 17) via a Citi presale, with an artist presale beginning on Friday (April 19) at 10 am. The general onsale begins on April 22 at 10 a.m. local time here .

This is Shakira's first tour since her 2018 El Dorado World Tour, which took her to stadiums and arenas around the world. Shakira first hinted that she would be touring this year during her Q&A at Billboard Latin Music Week and her Billboard cover story last October. At the time, she said she would "definitely" tour in 2024, but provided no details.

Then, last month, following the release of Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran , she performed in New York City's Times Square for a crowd of more than 40,000 fans. During her new tour, Shakira is expected to perform her new hits, as well as her iconic global chart stoppers. Find all announced dates below:

Shakira is ready to reunite with her “Shewolves” on tour.

After announcing the 2024 tour during her surprise appearance at  Coachella  with Bizarrap, Shakira shared the first slate of tour dates on Tuesday morning. Shakira will start the 14-date trek on Nov. 2 in Palm Desert, California (Acrisure Arena), and includes stops in Los Angeles (Kia Forum), Miami (Kaseya Center), Toronto (Scotiabank Arena), Brooklyn (Barclays Center), Chicago (United Center) and more.

Despite the hiatus, Shakira has kept herself busy in the last two years. In 2023, Shakira won song of the year and best pop song for “Music Sessions Vol. 53” and best urban fusion/performance for “TQG” at the 2023 Latin Grammy Awards. “Music Sessions Vol. 53” also became the Spanish language song with the most streams in a single day in Spotify’s history.

Tickets will be available on Ticketmaster.com starting with a Citi presale on April 17 with additional presales running throughout the week ahead of the general sale beginning April 22.

Future & Metro Boomin Announce 2024 We Trust You Tour: Here Are the Dates

The rapper-producer combo hits the road this summer..

Future and Metro Boomin are looking to heat up the summer, as the rapper-producer duo will be hitting the road in support of their pair of albums.

Live Nation announced the We Trust You Tour on Tuesday (April 16), and the arena trek is slated to kick off in Kansas City, Mo., at the T-Mobile Center on July 30. Openers and supporting acts have not yet been announced.

Metro Boomin and Future’s 27-date North American tour will be making stops in Detroit, Atlanta, Brooklyn, Boston, Philly, Houston, Toronto, Las Vegas, Seattle and more before wrapping up north of the border on Sept. 9 in Vancouver, B.C., at Rogers Arena.

Tickets will be available to Cash App Card customers starting on Wednesday (April 17), while the general public will get their chance on Friday (April 19) on the Live Nation website at 10 a.m. local venue time.

VIP packages are also available for those interested in a package that will include a photo-op in front of the stage, access to a VIP lounge, a VIP gift item and more perks. Cash App Card members will also receive discounts on tour merchandise purchased on-site at venues.

Future and Metro sprinted out of the gates with their We Don’t Trust You album in March, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 251,000 total album-equivalent units in the week ending March 28, per Luminate.

Album standout “Like That” featuring Kendrick Lamar’s atomic bomb on the rap game is spending a third week atop the Billboard Hot 100. The fiery track soared to No. 1 on the Hot 100 and is the first rap song to spend its first three weeks at the summit since Drake’s “Nice for What.”

“HIP HOP IS ALIVE AND WELL #WEDONTTRUSTYOU,” Metro wrote on social media after learning “Like That” had notched him his first No. 1 hit as a billed artist. (He previously reached the summit as a co-producer and co-writer on Migos’ “Bad & Boujee” and The Weeknd’s “Heartless.”)

The duo could be making yet another splash on the charts as Pluto and Young Metro returned to give fans 25 more tracks packaged as another album, fittingly titled We Still Don’t Trust You .

The 2024 Canadian Folk Music Awards were presented recently during two gala concerts at the Majestic Theatre in St. John's, marking the 19th year of Canada's premier folk music event. Topping the winners list was the much-decorated singer-songwriter William Prince , with three trophies (Contemporary Album of the Year, Solo Artist of the Year, and Single of the Year). The only other multiple victor was Mia Kelly , winner as New/Emerging Artist of the Year & Young Performer of the Year. Other winners in the 21 Awards categories included Suzie Vinnick, Sophie Lukacs, The Bombadils, and Kaeley Jade Wiebe, while the Unsung Hero Award went to John Clarke . – Golf Canada has announced a new partnership that sees SiriusXM Canada become the title sponsor of the SiriusXM Concert Series at the RBC Canadian Open , the biggest annual event in Canadian golf. The two night series features platinum-selling, Juno-winning rock band Our Lady Peace as the headliner on Friday, May 31 followed by 2023 CCCMA ‘Breakthrough Artist of the Year’ Josh Ross on June 1 at the historic Hamilton Golf and Country Club. – In the classical music world, Montrealer Yannick Nézet-Séguin is something of a superstar. A Juno and Grammy award-winner, he is currently the Metropolitan Opera 's music director. This month, Nézet-Séguin leads the Philadelphia Orchestra (he is their Music and Artistic Director) on a tour that includes stops in Toronto (April 17), Ottawa (18) and Montreal (19).

– Rightfully respected at home as one of Canada's great singer/songwriters, Bruce Cockburn has been the subject of tribute albums and had many songs covered by Canadian peers. Now, an impressive group of U.S. artists is featured on James Toth Presents... Imaginational Anthem vol. The song came about via a suggestion from Johnson’s Toronto neurologist, Dr. Alfonso Fasano, who felt he could help promote awareness of Parkinson’s to a wider audience with the number. – Award-winning Newfoundland pianist/composer Florian Hoefner collaborated with chamber music ensemble Iris Trio on its just-released album Project Earth: The Blue Chapter , one featuring his compositions alongside original poetry written and recited by Griffin Prize-winning poet Don McKay .

First refuelling for Russia’s Akademik Lomonosov floating NPP

The FNPP includes two KLT-40S reactor units. In such reactors, nuclear fuel is not replaced in the same way as in standard NPPs – partial replacement of fuel once every 12-18 months. Instead, once every few years the entire reactor core is replaced with and a full load of fresh fuel.

The KLT-40S reactor cores have a number of advantages compared with standard NPPs. For the first time, a cassette core was used, which made it possible to increase the fuel cycle to 3-3.5 years before refuelling, and also reduce by one and a half times the fuel component in the cost of the electricity produced. The operating experience of the FNPP provided the basis for the design of the new series of nuclear icebreaker reactors (series 22220). Currently, three such icebreakers have been launched.

The Akademik Lomonosov was connected to the power grid in December 2019, and put into commercial operation in May 2020.

Electricity generation from the FNPP at the end of 2023 amounted to 194 GWh. The population of Pevek is just over 4,000 people. However, the plant can potentially provide electricity to a city with a population of up to 100,000. The FNPP solved two problems. Firstly, it replaced the retiring capacities of the Bilibino Nuclear Power Plant, which has been operating since 1974, as well as the Chaunskaya Thermal Power Plant, which is more than 70 years old. It also supplies power to the main mining enterprises located in western Chukotka. In September, a 490 km 110 kilovolt power transmission line was put into operation connecting Pevek and Bilibino.

Nothing against the band, this is aa review for the promoter/planner.

Since I learned about this concert, I have visited the ticketri site daily to buy tickets. It would appear that on the site you would buy tickets in advance, however, when you get to page it said: "tickets will be on sale shortly." This was the screen at 7pm, 2 hours before the show and I was still unable to buy tickets. I got to the venue and asked about the show and where to buy tickets, I was told tickets are online and they cannot be purchased at the location. With time to spare, I went to eat nearby and tried again to get tickets. I could not. A little after 830 (less than 30minutes left to the show to start) i enter the venue again, this time there is an employee stationed near the stage and I asked them about the tickets to which they responded with "For the foam party?" I'm in my late 20's and have enjoyed my fair share of foam parties, trust me when I say I was not in the mood for a foam party let alone did I plan for it. When I asked about Los Kjarkas, their face expression looked concerned and the employee told me the event has BEEN canceled. I was surprised, disappointed and ultimately laughed at the whole situation. The (2nd) employee said that its been communicated the concert was canceled. I mentioned I was here within 2hours ago and was under the impression it was still going and to"go buy tickets online."

It seemed unorganized and a waste of my time and gas. Upon leaving the venue I was asked about the show from other patrons on their way inside and told them it was canceled unless they wanna foam it up. They too looked disapoimnted and confused.
