Get ready for a major dose of nostalgia courtesy of Imagine Cruising with a sun-soaked holiday complete with a star-studded line-up that will transport you straight back to the iconic decade.

We’re talking exclusive performances by Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley, ABC’s lead singer Martin Fry, as well as music from Toyah, T’Pau and Altered Images and DJ sets from Bruno Brookes and Gary Davies.

The best part is that all of the acts will perform multiple times throughout the 11-night Rock and Retro: 80’s Extravaganza Sailcation , so there's ample opportunity to soak up the nostalgia.

As for the itinerary, there's plenty of sun, culture and beautiful scenery on the cards. Ports of call include the Spanish city of La Coruña, a trip to Madeira, the Canary Islands of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, and a port of call at Portugal’s bustling capital Lisbon.

Prepare for a major dose of nostalgia courtesy of an epic 80s’ themed cruise complete with a star-studded line-up sure to transport you back to the iconic decade. 

Imagine Cruising has pulled out all the stops for the Rock and Retro: 80’s Extravaganza Sailcation, which includes an 11-night sun-soaked holiday to Spain, the Canaries and Portugal. 

As for the 80s’ throwbacks? 

Each of the acts will perform multiple times throughout the sailing so there’s ample opportunity to enjoy the music, all while also making the most of the luxury on Virgin Voyages’ Valiant Lady ship. (The second cruise ship for Richard Branson’s new venture).

Passengers - dubbed ‘sailors’ by Virgin Voyages - can dance under the stars at the Aquatic Club, relax poolside, indulge at the Redemption Spa, or make the most of the activities programme inspired by fringe festivals. (The ship even has its own tattoo parlour!).

As for dining, you’ll be spoiled for choice whether you tuck into à la carte steak and seafood at the Wake, indulge in some plant-based treats at Razzle Dazzle, or fill up on some mouthwatering Mexican delicacies at Pink Agave. Virgin Voyages launches pre-summer ex-UK 2022 cruises on Valiant Lady

Virgin Voyages revealed 3 new pre-summer cruises from Portsmouth, England UK in 2022.

On the heels of the unveiling of the ‘Summer Soiree Series’ for Scarlet Lady , Virgin’s second boat Valiant Lady is expected to officially debut in the UK prior to heading to Barcelona to sail the Mediterranean in summer 2022.

Between March 18 and May 14, 2022, Valiant Lady has scheduled 3 new itineraries, including a mix of 3-11-12-night voyages.

MS Valiant Lady debuts in spring 2022, sailing from the UK to popular European islands and port cities, with late-night / overnight stays in Malaga , Palma de Mallorca , the Canaries, Lisbon Portugal , Belgium.

Valiant Lady’s summer 2022 getaways include:

• Itinerary 1 – 3-night "Long Weekender" in Zeebrugge Belgium
• Itinerary 2 – 11-night "Coast the Canary Islands, Spain and Portugal"
• Itinerary 3 – 12-night "Late Nights in Portugal and Spain"

In advance of going out for sale, Virgin is offering their First Mates (Travel Advisors) the chance to pre-register interested Sailors (customers) for the inaugural voyages of Valiant Lady.

Valiant Lady's new pre-summer voyages will be open for booking on July 21, 2021.

Scarlet Lady

Virgin Voyages’ first ship has made it to Portsmouth already and is preparing for its debut with the UK staycation-at-sea cruises this summer.

Offering three and four night cruises off the England coast, Virgin Voyages’ Summer Soirée series will give fully-vaccinated Brits the chance to experience Scarlet Lady for the first time. There are some very special experiences lined up for Sailors – so head over to Virgin Voyages to find out more and book your staycation-at-sea now.

Valiant Lady

Virgin Voyages has officially taken delivery of its second ship Valiant Lady. Now that Virgin Voyages has the keys to the ship, it’s announced some extra special UK sailing for Valiant Lady.

Debuting from Portsmouth in March 2022, Valiant Lady will offer a mix of three-night, 11-night and 12-night voyages. Sailors will enjoy late-night and overnight stays in Málaga, Palma de Mallorca, the Canary Islands, Lisbon and Belgium.

The three itineraries are:

Long Weekender in Zeebrugge (3-night)

Coast the Canary Islands, Spain, & Portugal (11-night)

Late Nights in Portugal and Spain (12-night)

The ship will then head to Barcelona, where it will be based for summer 2022.

Resilient Lady

Resilient Lady is Virgin Voyages third ship and was recently floated out at the Fincantieri shipyard in Genoa where all of Virgin Voyages ships are being built. 

A ‘float out ceremony’ is a significant milestone for a ship. It’s the first time a ship’s hull touches water. Just like a ship launch, the moment is marked by a champagne bottle smashing against the side.
