After a four-year hiatus from the Bluff City before 2020, the 2021 Bluff City Classic marks the second PWVT visit to FedExForum in as many years. Bringing the world’s toughest athletes face-to-face with the rankest bulls, the two-round event packs all the thrills, spills and white-knuckle action into one heart-racing night. Bull riders from around the globe will be walking Beale Street searching for their own fame and fortune as the 2021 Bluff City Classic Champion. Thousands of dollars, points towards a PBR World Championship, and all-important bragging rights are on the line for the 40 riders in Memphis.

PBR veteran Fabiano Vieira (Perola, Brazil) hoisted the buckle in Memphis once the dirt settled in February 2020. Turning in a perfect 2-for-2 performance, Vieira jumped to No. 10 in the world rankings with the victory. Premier series regulars Marco Eguchi (Poa, Brazil) and Rubens Barbosa (Iaciara, Brazil) rounded out the Top 5 at the 2020 event.

The 2021 PWVT season is scheduled to culminate at the 2021 PWVT Finals in Las Vegas. While in the Entertainment Capital of the World, the 2021 PWVT champion will don the cherished gold buckle and receive an automatic bid to the 2021 PBR World Finals. Former PWVT champions include some of the top riders on Earth today, such as Chase Outlaw (2016), Jose Vitor Leme (2019) and most recently Mason Taylor (2020).

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – As the regular season for the 2022 PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour came to a climactic finish Saturday evening in Grand Forks, North Dakota, two Canadians delivered crucial Top 5 efforts at the PBR Boot Barn Grand Forks Chute Out at the Alerus Center to gain crucial ground in the expansion series’ standings. While Blake Smith (Abbey, Saskatchewan) led the duo, finishing third, red-hot Griffin Smeltzer (Claresholm, Alberta) tied for fifth to surge to No. 1 in the race for the 2022 PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Championship.

The 2022 PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour will conclude next weekend in Corpus Christi, Texas. Serving as the launch-event for the iconic Buc Days festival, the Velocity Tour Finals will be held May 6-7 at American Bank Center Arena.

Smith was electric as the competition in Grand Forks got underway. Conquering No Doubt (Richard & Teri Braun/Jenkins Cattle) for 87 points, Smith advanced to the championship round atop the event leaderboard.

As the last man to leave the chutes, Smith was unable to conclude the event with a qualified ride. He was bested by Whip (S.A.W. Bucking Bulls) in 3.04 seconds.

Compliments of his bronze effort, Smith earned a critical 17 world points. He is now tied for No. 23 in the Velocity Tour standings, within 30.5 points of the No. 1 rank.

Fresh off his event win last weekend in Wichita, Smeltzer went 1-for-2 to tie for fifth, garnering 5 world points.

In Round 1, Smith reached the requisite 8 for 86 points atop Wild Bill (Richardson Land & Cattle Co.). Smith, however, proved no match for Chainsaw (Just for Kicks/J-M) in the final round, sent to the ground in 2.31 seconds.

The Top 5 finish allowed Smeltzer to surge to the No. 1 rank in the Velocity Tour standings. Readying to make his PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Finals debut, Smeltzer leads No. 2 Brandon Davis (Cabot, Arkansas) by 1.5 points.

Twenty-two-year-old  Grayson Cole  (New Ringgold, Pennsylvania) delivered an impeccable performance to win the one-night PBR event at the Alerus Center.

Cole was paired with  Hard & Often  (S.A.W. Bucking Bulls) in Round 1, covering the powerful animal athlete for 86 points. The Pennsylvanian cowboy then took on  Bolo  (Bucking Crazy Bucking Bulls/Richardson) in the championship round, totaling an 88-point score and overtaking the event lead.

Cole earned 39 world points for his efforts, improving a whopping 26 positions in the world standings from No. 92 to No. 66.

Second was  Cody Casper  (Newport, Washington), earning 23 world points.

Casper made the 8 aboard  Little Vickers  (Joe Anderson) for 84 points in Round 1.

He then earned an impressive 85.5-point score when paired with  Jailhouse Cat  (Flying T Bucking Bulls / JR Phillips) in the championship round.

Trace Brown  (Stephenville, Texas) parlayed an 86.5-point ride atop Hawaiian Punch  (Frenzel / King) in Round 1 into a fourth-place finish. He collected 10 world points.

Rounding out the Top 5, and tying for fifth alongside Smeltzer, was  Cladson Rodolfo  (Pilar do Sul, Brazil) and  Mason Moody  (Letcher, South Dakota), also delivering matching 86-point rides to earn 5 world points.

Rodolfo rode  Bean  (Sho-Me Rodeo / T&G) in Round 1, while Moody rebounded from an opening round buckoff when he outlasted Jake Brake  (Cannon Cattle Co) in the championship round.

The PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour’s Grand Forks Boot Barn Chute Out was also a stop on the 2022 Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge (MDBTC). Richardson Land & Cattle Company showcased their bovine talent and took home a wildcard win, securing a position at the 2022 MDBTC Tour Finals.

PBR Pendleton Whiskey Velocity Tour

  • WesBanco Arena 2 14th Street Wheeling, WV 26003
  • Hours Friday: 8:00pm / Saturday: 7:00pm

The PBR’s Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour (PWVT) began in 2014 as the sport’s premier expansion series, featuring young, emerging bull riding talent alongside some of the superstars of the sport.

The PWVT brings the excitement and talent of the PBR that fans have come to expect from the leader in the sport of bull riding to cities across the U.S. that are not currently included on the premier series’ schedule. The tour is completely produced and operated by PBR, providing fans the highest-quality experience available.

The PWVT is the primary and most important qualifying series for bull riders to earn valuable points needed to qualify for the Unleash The Beast (UTB), and ultimately the PBR World Finals. Additionally, every winner of a PWVT regular-season event will be seeded at one UTB event during the season, providing yet another avenue for the PBR’s emerging talent to increase their position in the overall world standings.

The PWVT Finals are featured as the last event of the season, taking place just prior to the PBR World Finals each year. The Top 35 riders from the PWVT compete for the final five positions available at the PBR World Finals, making it the most important event on the schedule outside of the World Finals itself.

Halverson Clinches Second PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Win of 2021 at Series’ Debut Event in Springfield to Crack World’s Top 40

PBR’s bovine athletes remain dominant on Championship Saturday, allowing just three qualified rides in 47 attempts

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – As the debut PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour event in Springfield, Massachusetts came to a climactic conclusion, no rider was more dominant than  Conner Halverson  (Gordon, Nebraska) on Championship Saturday at the PBR Springfield Invitational. Delivering the high-marked ride of the event in Round 2, Halverson clinched his second Velocity Tour victory of 2021 inside MassMutual Center, cracking the Top 40 of the PBR world standings.

Following a hard-fought 3.79-second buckoff aboard  Capone  (Lucas Manning Bucking Bulls) in Round 1 Friday evening, Halverson was quick to rebound Saturday night. Drawing  Bone Tomahawk  (Mike Miller Bucking Bulls), the Nebraska native matched the bovine athlete jump-for-jump en route to a round-winning 86.5-point score.

Halverson’s score catapulted him to the top of the event leaderboard and, despite a 2.38-second buckoff in the championship round, dealt to the 20-year-old by  Cutthroat  (Cornwell Bucking Bulls), allowed him to clinch the event victory.

For his efforts, Halverson earned a critical 37 world points.

Seeking his career-first qualification to the PBR World Finals in Las Vegas in November, Halverson rose into the world’s Top 40. After beginning the event ranked No. 47, he is now No. 37, 36.5 points outside of the Top 30 and a seeded position on the elite Unleash The Beast.

Halverson, previously victorious on the Velocity Tour in late May in Sioux City, Iowa, also gained significant ground in the race for the 2021 PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Championship. He is now No. 2 in the race for the coveted title, 18 points behind series leader  Michael Lane  (Tazewell, Virginia).

The PBR’s world-class bucking bulls once again headlined the competition for the Springfield Invitational, showcasing their supreme athleticism by surrendering just three qualified rides in 47 attempts Saturday evening. Collectively across the two-day event, the bulls bucked off 93.1% of the riders, allowing a mere six qualified rides in 87 trips.

In a seven-way tie for the high-marked bull of the event honor, the rank pen was led by  Custom Made  (Lucas Manning Bucking Bulls),  Twist of Faith  (Cornwell Bucking Bulls),  Puddle Dock Road  (Cornwell Bucking Bulls),  Ace  (J Bar W),  War Paint  (Cornwell Bucking Bulls),  Night Shift  (Cornwell Bucking Bulls) and  Dirt Gangster  (Mike Miller Bucking Bulls), each recording a 43.5-point bull score.

In Round 1, Custom Made earned the event-best marks for his 2.12-second trip with  Elijah Lankford  (Polkville, North Carolina), while Twist of Faith registered the score for his 1.58-second buckoff of  Paulo Souza Rodriguez  (Mato Grosso, Brazil). Out in Round 2, Puddle Dock Road dispatched  Joseph Petersheim  (Dundee, Ohio) in 1.61 seconds, while Ace sent  Amadeu Campos Silva  (Atair, Brail) to the dirt in 3.37 seconds, and War Paint got the better of Lane in 4.12 seconds.

Completing the septet, in the championship round the 43.5-point scores were logged by Night Shift when he bucked off  Eduardo de Oliveira  (Nova Lacerda, Brazil) in 2.94 seconds, and Dirt Gangster for his 1.82-second trip with  Allen Burkholder  (Millersburg, Ohio).

Returning to the event leaderboard, Round 1 winners  Eli Vastbinder  (Statesville, North Carolina) and Amadeu Campos Silva tied for second, each earning 20.5 world points.

Both delivering an 83.5-point ride in the opening round, Vastbinder covered  Trump  (J Bar W), while Silva made the 8 atop  Livin’ Life  (CG Bucking Bulls/Big Rafter Rodeo, LLC).

While Souza bucked off both his Round 2 and championship-round opponents, Vastbinder had his event come to an early end when he strained his right bicep in the second round following his 1.96-second buckoff aboard  The Fist  (Lucas Manning Bucking Bulls), relegating him to the sidelines.

The silver finish allowed both riders to climb the 2021 PBR world standings.

Marking Silva’s first event of the season, he rose from unranked to No. 90.

For Vastbinder, he surged from No. 35 to No. 32. The North Carolinian is now within a mere 11 points of the Top 30.

Fourth was Eduardo de Oliveira, earning 10 world points.

The 28-year-old Brazilian rode Twist of Faith in Round 2 for 81.5 points.

Rounding out the Top 5 in fifth was Allen Burkholder.

Covering  Kickin’ It  (Lucas Manning Bucking Bulls) for 80.5 points in Round 2, the Ohio native was propelled to his season-best finish, netting 7 world points.

The PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour will next travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan for the PBR Grand Rapids Classic. Action at Van Andel Arena will get underway Saturday, August 21 at 7:00 p.m. EDT.

For the fifth time in history, PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour will buck into Casper, Wyoming, returning to the Ford Wyoming Center on April 1, 2023 with the PBR Casper Invitational.

For one night only, some of the best bull riders in the world will battle the sport’s rankest bovine athletes in the ultimate showdown of man vs. beast in one of the most exciting live sporting events to witness.

During the 2023 season, the PBR will celebrate its 30 th anniversary since 20 cowboys broke away from the traditional rodeo with the belief that bull riding could be a standalone sport. Since their trailblazing initiative, the PBR has grown into a global phenomenon awarding nearly $300 million in prize money.

The upcoming PBR Casper Invitational will mark the 24 th event of the new individual season for the PBR’s expansion series. Eventgoers will watch on as riders vie for crucial points in the race to be crowned the 2023 PBR Velocity Tour Champion.

When PBR last travelled to Casper in April 2022, 2018 PBR Rookie of the Year Keyshawn Whitehorse (McCracken Springs, Utah) delivered a perfect 2-for-2 performance to collect the event win inside the Ford Wyoming Center.

Whitehorse was quick to strike in Round 1, delivering the fourth best score when he covered Light It Up (Nothin’ But Try Ranch/Kinser/McCall) for 85.5 points.

Kenny (H&D Bucking Bulls/Dickie Williams/Phillips) then awaited the Navajo bull rider in the championship round. Poised, Whitehorse matched the animal athlete jump-for-jump en route to an 88.5-point score, clinching the event win.

In 2020, the Velocity held a unique quartet of events across two weekends to conclude the regular season.

As action got underway inside the Ford Wyoming Center veteran rider  Wallace Vieira de Oliveira  (Goiania, Brazil) delivered a dominant 2-for-2 performance to win the first event in Casper, collecting a critical 38 world points. The victory was crucial in Oliveira’s march to his third career PBR World Finals qualification, propelling him from No. 63 to No. 45 in the world standings.

Young gun Kyler Oliver  (Roy, Utah) achieved an important career milestone on the second night of action in the Cowboy State, riding to his first-ever victory on the PBR’s expansion series. Oliver’s win, which elevated him from No. 87 to No. 56 in the world standings, was also key to helping him reach the year-end World Finals.

After Brazilian rookie Andre da Cruz de Souza topped the field during the third iteration of the PBR Casper Invitation in 2020, 11-time PBR World Finals qualifier Valdiron de Oliveira  (Balcimo, Brazil) delivered a flawless 2-for-2 performance to capture his first event victory since August 2016 at the final Velocity Tour event in Casper.

Other past PBR Casper Invitational event winners include: Allisson de Souza (2018 – Taubate, Brazil) and Keyshawn Whitehorse (2019 – McCracken Springs, Utah).

On Saturday evening, all 40 competing riders will attempt one bull each in Round 1. Following the opening round, the Top 15 will then advance to the championship round where they will attempt one final bull, all in an effort to be crowned the event champion.

HAMPTON, V.A. – Host to one of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour’s longest-tenured events, Hampton, Virginia, will welcome the organization’s expansion series for the eleventh consecutive season February 23 – 24 when the GOVX PBR Hampton takes over Hampton Coliseum.

For just two thrilling nights, some of the best bull riders in the world will battle the sport’s rankest bovine athletes in the ultimate showdown of man vs. beast in one of the most exciting and unpredictable live sporting events to witness.

Last year in front of a sold-out Saturday night crowd in Hampton, Virginia, Claudio Montanha Jr . (Ribeirao dos Indios, Brazil) and Michael Lane (Tazewell, Virginia) tied for the event win inside Hampton Coliseum.

Montanha began his outing in the Old Dominion State with a bang, topping Round 1 with an 88-point effort on Two Hands before completing his perfect evening by covering Here I Am for 86.5 points.

Virgina’s Lane also went a perfect 2-for-2 to tie the enigmatic Brazilian.

Sitting in third after Round 1 following his 86-point ride atop Krampus, the veteran cowboy surged to the top of the standings when he recorded the high-marked ride of the event in the championship round, outlasting Eager Snake for 88.5 points.

Other past PBR Hampton Classic event winners include Eduardo Aparecido (2022), Marcos Gloria (2021), Bruno Scaranello (2020), Brady Sims (2019), Nathan Burtenshaw (2018), Brandon Davis (2017), Juliano Antonio Da Silva (2016), Gage Gay (2015) and Josh Birks (2014).

Josh Frost (Randlett, Utah) was crowned the 2023 PBR Velocity Tour Champion, concluding the season 113.5 points ahead of runner-up Claudio Montanha Jr. (Ribeirao dos Indios, Brazil). The pair dueled back and forth until the final outs of the season at the tour’s Finals in Corpus Christi, Texas.

PBR Pendleton Whiskey Velocity Tour

Saturday, march 16, 2024 - 7:00 pm.

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.

Coffee Ring

The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.

Zodiac Metro

According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.

Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.

Paleontological finds

Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!

  • Every day each car in  Moscow metro passes  more than 600 km, which is the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
  • Moscow subway system is the  5th in the intensity  of use (after the subways of Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai).
  • The interval in the movement of trains in rush hour is  90 seconds .

Moscow Metro

The Moscow Metro Tour is included in most guided tours’ itineraries. Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. Every station you will see during your Moscow metro tour looks like a palace room. There are bright paintings, mosaics, stained glass, bronze statues… Our Moscow metro tour includes the most impressive stations best architects and designers worked at - Ploshchad Revolutsii, Mayakovskaya, Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Novoslobodskaya and some others.

What is the kremlin in russia?

The guide will not only help you navigate the metro, but will also provide you with fascinating background tales for the images you see and a history of each station.

And there some stories to be told during the Moscow metro tour! The deepest station - Park Pobedy - is 84 metres under the ground with the world longest escalator of 140 meters. Parts of the so-called Metro-2, a secret strategic system of underground tunnels, was used for its construction.

During the Second World War the metro itself became a strategic asset: it was turned into the city's biggest bomb-shelter and one of the stations even became a library. 217 children were born here in 1941-1942! The metro is the most effective means of transport in the capital.

There are almost 200 stations 196 at the moment and trains run every 90 seconds! The guide of your Moscow metro tour can explain to you how to buy tickets and find your way if you plan to get around by yourself.
