Great seats for a concert on the aisle. Near both men's and women's restrooms made quick restroom breaks (or beer runs) easy. I loved the elevated view over the stage from the side. "Wow! Was not expecting this..."

I bought these tickets to treat myself, a chance to get away from the crazies of the upper deck and the expensive seats of the lower bowl. These special “club level” seats gave me access to the stadium 30 minutes prior to the general public and when I walked in I couldn’t believe my eyes. Firs...

Located on the side side of the stage. I thought they were great seats if you are looking to be close but not spend too much money. Also it was on the club level so the concessions were a lot less crowded.

Moraga Juniors' Spring Gala To Benefit Bay Area Crisis Nursery

L AMORINDA, CA — Mark your calendars for an evening of philanthropy and celebration as the Moraga Junior Women’s Club announces its upcoming annual fundraising gala, slated to take place Saturday, May 11 at The Garden, Walnut Creek.

Guests can expect an evening filled with delectable cuisine, captivating live music by The Ripplers, mesmerizing magic, and fundraising activities. From silent auctions to raffle drawings, there will be ample opportunities for attendees to support the cause and contribute to the organization's goals.

"We are thrilled to announce our annual gala and invite everyone to join us for a night of giving and impact," said Sarah Gerrish, president of Moraga Juniors. "This event is not only an opportunity to raise vital funds for our cause but also a chance to come together as a community and make a difference."

Attendees will hear from keynote speakers highlighting the impact of Moraga Junior Women’s Club programs and initiatives in the community.

As preparations for the gala are underway, organizers are calling on local businesses and community members to show their support through sponsorships, donations and ticket purchases.

"We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our sponsors and supporters, whose contributions make events like this possible," said Adina Macinca, Moraga Juniors' spokesperson. "Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve."

Proceeds Benefit Bay Area Crisis Nursery

All proceeds from ticket sales to the gala go toward Bay Area Crisis Nursery 's mission to prevent child abuse through providing supportive services to families. What was once an emergency shelter for young children from birth through 5 years old is now a thriving family resource center dedicated to alleviating the effects of poverty on families with young children.

The Nursery has been open for 42 years and never closes its doors. It is are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. BACN is one of four crisis nurseries in the state and the only crisis nursery in the San Francisco Bay Area. Located in Concord, BACN is a 20-bed shelter that provides a haven for children from birth to 6 years old whose families face homelessness, domestic violence, medical needs and other emergencies. Children live at the Nursery while their families work on creating a safe space for them to return to. In addition to care in times of crisis, parents can also request respite care for their children during times of high stress.

The cost of parenting in the Bay Area has reached an all-time high; 93 percent of families who reach out to BACN are single mothers with one or two children younger than 5. On average, they make around $2,500 per month. Without the Nursery, these families wouldn’t be able to work, feed, house or care for their children’s needs.

BACN provides over 30,000 hours of free care to young children annually, ensuring that over 250 parents can work without paying for childcare — saving our community over $830,000 in childcare costs each year.

The lobby of the Nursery houses a free boutique where families can shop for clothing, shoes, toys, books and children’s equipment.

The Nursery offers a weekly food pantry giving thousands of pounds of food each year and providing almost 90,000 diapers to over 2,000 families and 1,800 children a year. The Nursery also feeds over 900 parents and children holiday meals each year.

Tickets to the gala are $125 and can be purchased on the Moraga Juniors website .

For donations or further inquiries, contact [email protected] .

"Together, we can illuminate hope and create positive change in our community."

Over 50 Tampa Bay concerts to see during summer 2024

  • Gabrielle Calise Times staff

The weather isn’t the only thing heating up around Tampa Bay.

Not only is Megan Thee Stallion bringing her Hot Girl Summer Tour to town — there’s a sizzling slate of concerts for fans of just about every music genre.

Expect to see some fun pairings, from longtime peers (Missy Elliott with Busta Rhymes) to some wild mashups (Red Hot Chili Peppers and ... Ice Cube?). Sting, who just swung through Tampa with Billy Joel , will even return two more times to rock out with the Florida Orchestra.

Here are over 50 local shows we’re excited about.

Living legends

Diana Ross: The legendary Motown singer will bring solo hits and favorite songs from the Supremes to the BayCare Sound in Clearwater on Thursday, May 9.

Janet Jackson: The Together Again Tour comes to the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa on Tuesday, July 16.

Chicago and Earth, Wind and Fire: The Heart & Soul 2024 Tour features two bands that have been going since the late 1960s — and two MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre shows. Thursday, Aug. 15, and Friday, Aug. 16.

Pepe Aguilar: The Jaripeo Hasta Los Huesos Tour pays tribute to the Mexican tradition of the Day of the Dead. Sunday, June 30, at Amalie Arena.

Hip-hop and R&B

Megan Thee Stallion: Hotties, assemble. Megan Thee Stallion’s Hot Girl Summer Tour is coming to Amalie Arena on Saturday, June 8. GloRilla will open.

The Kid LAROI: Charlton Howard won’t even be 21 yet when he comes to Tampa this summer. Find the rising rap star at the Yuengling Center with glaive and Chase Shaker on Sunday, June 9.

Pop singers and songwriters

Hozier: The Irish singer-songwriter, whose songs bounce somewhere between blues, soul gospel, R&B and folk, has become something of a mystical character. He’ll take Tampa to church on Saturday, May 11, at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre.

Chappell Roan: The self-proclaimed “Midwest Princess” is coming to Jannus Live in St. Petersburg on Sunday, May 19, hot off of opening for Olivia Rodrigo. (Both singers work closely with producer Dan Nigro.) Expect campy synth pop, technicolor costumes both on stage and in the audience and perhaps an appearance from local drag queens.

Madison Beer: Hear TikTok-famous hits like “Make You Mine” at Jannus Live during the Spinnin Tour on Wednesday, May 22, at Jannus Live. Upsahl will open.

Niall Horan: One Direction’s Irish heartthrob brings the “The Show” Live on Tour to the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre on Friday, May 31.

Alanis Morissette: The Canadian-American singer is bringing a dose of ‘90s alt-rock nostalgia to the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre on Wednesday, June 19. “You Oughta Know” that Joan Jett and the Blackhearts will be opening, along with Morgan Wade.

Red Hot Chili Peppers: Catch Flea and friends on the Unlimited Love Tour, featuring special guests Ice Cube and indie rockers IRONTOM, on Friday, June 21, at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre.

Sammy Hagar: The Red Rocker — and special guest Loverboy — will perform during the Best of All Worlds Tour on Sunday, July 14, at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre.

Styx and Foreigner: Foreigner already embarked on a farewell run in 2023, but a tour with Styx seems like a good reason to return to Tampa. Catch the Renegades & Juke Box Heroes Tour on Saturday, July 20, at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre.

Dirty Heads and Slightly Stoopid: Rock, hip-hop, reggae and soul come together for this double-headliner at the BayCare Sound on Saturday, Aug. 3. Common Kings and the Elovators will open.

Chris Stapleton: The country singer’s All-American Road Show comes to the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre on Friday, May 10. Nikki Lane and Grace Potter open.

Brooks & Dunn: Get ready to “Boot Scoot Boogie” on Saturday, May 4, at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre.

General club, club information, what is the process for check in once i arrive at the bay club.

Upon arriving at the Club, all members must check in at the Front Desk at each visit using your Bay Club Connect App or membership number.

Do I need to have a photo on file in order to access the club?

Yes, we are asking all members to provide a photo that will be added to your membership account to help us protect you and your membership.  You can simply come into the club and ask to have your picture taken at the front desk, or you can add the picture yourself on the member friendly Bay Club Connect.

A few details you should know.

– All members 14 years and older will need to have a photo on file. Members under the age of 14 are not required to have a photo on file.

– Members without a photo in Connect, will see that their barcode used for check-in at the club has been “greyed-out”.

There are 2 ways to add your photo.

– You can have your photo taken at the front desk and it will automatically be added to your membership profile. If you already have a photo on file and are unhappy with it, no problem, we can take a new photo and add it.

– You can now add your own photo from your phone. Your photo can only be uploaded one time and if you do not already have one on file, follow these simple steps below.

Step 1:  Take a new photo or choose one from your photo library. We ask that no hats, masks, or sunglasses are worn in your photo.

Step 2:  If taking a new photo, position your face in the circle.

Tour Itinerary

With the 1000-year history, Russia has had a rich portfolio of conflicts, battles, wars. On this Soviet tour, we'll talk about various wars that happened in Russia, focusing on WWII.

Mother Russia has undergone a lot in its long life. Since ancient times, Russian rulers have taken nearly all political power into their own hands. By the beginning of the 20th century, the Russian oppositional movement was deadly set for the total destruction of the ever-lasting tsarist regime. All of Russia got involved in the bloody revolution of 1917 in an effort to abolish the current state of the government and gain freedom for the ordinary people.

You will learn about the every-day life of the Soviet people during the bloody Second World War with the Nazis, including the legendary Battle for Moscow, the 900-day siege of Leningrad, the hardships that local citizens went through, the consequences of the war and the scars it left on the Soviet people, as well as why the Cold War happened and what was the fundamental reason.

Our mission on the Soviet Russia tour is to find out

  • - How much this 1917 revolution cost the people;
  • - Whether they actually got the freedom they wanted and was it worth it;
  • - What happened over the next 74 years;
  • - Who were the main political communist leaders of the Soviet Union;
  • - Were Russians happy and satisfied with the Soviet Union?

Our tour itinerary will lie in most Soviet areas of Moscow, which are quite spread throughout the city, as very few of them are left. You can choose how much you are ready to live this Soviet life on a 5, 7 or 10-hour tour. Depending on the duration of the tour, you will see part or all of the places below:

If you want to extend the tour, you are welcome to do so by paying $20/extra hour in cash on the tour.

Time stands still in Red Square. The Red Square is the heart of Moscow (and whole Russia). Saint Basil's Cathedral will make your mouth drop. If it is from May-October, have a cocktail on the outside terrace and simply people watch! The massive square offers so much to enjoy.

Lenin's Mausoleum

The burial place of one of the most influential communist leaders in the world.

Revolution Square Metro Station

Rub the Soviet dog's nose for good luck and admire the 76 bronze sculptures, devoted to the passionate, strong-willed and patriotic Soviet people.

Poklonnaya Hill

The highest point in Moscow, where Napoleon waited for keys of the city.

All-Russian Exhibition Center (VVC)

With its giant arch, amazing fountain, and huge pavilions of different Soviet Republics.

Victory Park Metro Station

The deepest undeground station in Moscow and one of the deepest in the world.

Victory Park

For an open-air museum as big as 135 ha (1 350 000 square meters), Victory park sure doens't lack diversity. The park is dedicated to the Russian victory in WWII, and was laid out in 1995 in commemoration of 50-year anniversary of victory.

Stalin had planned for its construction already in 1941, being sure of victory from the very start of the war.

Greeting Hill

The highest points in Moscow (172 meters), where Napoleon waited for keys of Moscow in vain.

Triumphal Arch

Stunning monument consisting of 12 cast-iron columns, each 12 meters high, and weighing 16 tons. Built to mark Russia's victory over Napoleon in 1812.

Museum of the Great Patriotic War

In the city that is as much about wars as it is about victories, there is one essential stopover - the Museum of the Great Patriotic War (that's what WWII is called in Russia). Must-do for those wishing to understand Russia's past and look at the whole war from the different perspective - Russian.

The museum is not for the faint-hearted. Here you can see films about the partisan experience, the scenes that will haunt you forever (no subtitles, but they are not necessary).

Museum of Contemporary History (from outside only)

We'll have a glance at Russian life of the XX century in the  Museum of Contemporary History , which houses bits of everything from Russian history of XXth century: from English club to a storage of Stalin's presents.

Memorial to the Holocaust,

devastating and breath-taking!

Unleash your inner spy. Highly recommended  Bunker-42 ,  Cold War Museum , explore the place where Khrushchev lived during the Cuban Crisis. Go down 18 floors to a gigantic bunker under Moscow that was designed to withstand a nuclear attack. Watch a short film about the severity of the Cold War. If you lived through the Cold War, you will hardly believe it is possible that you are in Bunker 42!

Wander through  Sparrow Hills  and climb up to the highest observation deck of Moscow with stunning views of all seven Stalin’s skyscrapers, including  Moscow State University . After that, experience the excitement of taking a  river cruise  on the Moscow river and catch the views of the Kremlin and Soviet times.
