Sinnoh Tour Guide

Event Information

Raid priorities, wild spawns, egg hatches, the missing entries.

It's finally time! Go Tour is Pokemon Go's biggest yearly event after Go Fest, and has traditionally been a source of rare Pokemon and new Pokemon/moves, and our visit to Sinnoh this year is no exception. And while some of the goals of the day are pretty obvious, it can also be pretty easy to get lost with all that's going on and miss something that may have value later. For that reason, we've put together this little guide highlighting all of the bonuses and Pokemon confirmed to be available for this event, and pointing out some of the more note-worthy options on offer. Note that we can only really talk about current/past utility, as we have  no idea  if a random moveset update will make any of these Pokemon more viable for various game modes in the future, but it's our hope that this basic outline at least makes the current high-profile goals a bit easier to pick out during the event.

As outlined above, this event will be broken up into 4 different Habitats,  Bustling Boardwalk, Ancient Grove, Toxic Digs,  and  Geothermal Lagoon,  each one showing up twice per day of the event. These periods will change up our Wild Spawns and Five Star Raid Bosses, so focusing efforts on specific time periods is definitely an option. Players will also have access to the following bonuses throughout the event:

  • 1/2 Hatch Distance for Eggs Incubated During the Event
  • Up to 6 Special Trades for each day
  • 1/2 Stardust cost for Trades
  • No Limits on Remote Raids

Five-Star Raids

Dialga

Dialga (Origin Forme)

DialgaOrigin

Palkia (Origin Forme)

PalkiaOrigin

The Five-Star offerings on display are genuinely attractive for this event, as the two cover Legendaries of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl are taking center-stage as the crown-jewels of the entire event. The stand-outs here are the two Origin formes, which will appear during the  Ancient Grove  and Geothermal Lagoon  habitat hours. The Origin Formes of Dialga and Palkia are important for both PvP and PvE metas, and  they come complete with their brand new Signature Moves, meaning they're definitely important Pokemon to prioritize.

Dialga - Origin Forme Raid Guide

But what about the non-Origin Formes of these dragons? They show up during the  Bustling Boardwalk  and  Toxic Digs  habitat hours and, in general, they're now out-classed in terms of performance. Still, they're still a good source of candy if getting high IV Origin Formes are no longer a priority. But that's not quite the end of the story, as while Palkia is basically destined to largely remain as second-fiddle to its Origin Forme outside of getting new and unique moves in the future, Dialga actually has some potential if it gets Roar of Time due to its higher Attack stat when compared to its Origin forme. And while we definitely recommend going for the Origins first, farming for a good normal Dialga  may not  be the worst idea for this reason.

Dialga-Trio

Three-Star Raids

Torterra

Hisuian Decidueye

HisuiDecidueye

Hisuian Typhlosion

HisuiTyphlosion

Hisuian Samurott

HisuiSamurott

Three-Star raids don't really have much going on this time around. It's a shot at the Hisuian starters if you happened to miss them earlier in the season, but that's about it. None of these Pokemon have a whole lot of utility in any meta, and the Hisuian starters still don't have their Starter-exclusive Elite Moves. Honestly, the only reason to hit up these raids is if you need dex fills and/or don't have a raid group to take down Dialga and Palkia and want to just run solo raids.

One-Star Raids

Turtwig

All of the above points apply here, but we currently have no way to evolve Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott to their Hisuian starter final-forms, so there's really even less reason to really push through here.

As highlighted above, Go Tour: Sinnoh's hours will be broken into four different habitats, each with their own unique set of Pokemon spawns:

Bustling Boardwalk Habitat

Pikachu

Burmy - Trash Cloak

Burmy

Shellos - East Sea

Shellos-East

Shellos - West Sea

shellos

the Bustling Boardwalk is... not the best. Most of the Pokemon on offer during this habitat are a bit middling. Arguably, the most important Pokemon to pick up are the two Shellos formes, and that's  mainly  because of their regional status. We also have a few of the Sinnoh evolution Pokemon on offer as well, but they've all really dropped in terms of utiliy. Beyond them, we have Wormadam - Trash Cloak showing up in some limited cups, while Drifblim and Empoleon occasionally see fringe utility.

Oh, and pick up the Dawn/Lucas hat Pikachu variants if you're collecting mascot hats.

Ancient Grove Habitat

Hisuian growlithe.

HisuiGrowlithe

Hisuian Voltorb

HisuiVoltorb

Burmy - Plant Cloak

Burmy

The Ancient Grove habitat doesn't really have much to offer either. Tangrowth/Tangela have a bit of utility in pvp, but they're not exactly a high priority most of the time. Eevee can evolve into Umbreon, which still holds some utility in the Great League to this day, though it's still a common enough Pokemon that it's generally not a huge priority for this event. Probopass and Bronzong are two of the old-fashioned Steel Type tanks for the Great League, but they've since fallen off. That said, Bronzor is still a staple whenever the Little Cup makes a comeback!

If you're after PvE options instead, then a few Eeveelutions such as Sylveon and Glaceon are still worthwhile if you're still building a raid group, while Roserade is an okay Grass/Poison attacker. Honestly, there aren't many huge stand-out options for this hour by way of raiders.

Don't forget Pikachu wearing Rei and Akari's hats if you're still collecting.

Toxic Digs Habitat

Aipom

Burmy - Sandy Cloak

Burmy

Toxic Digs actually isn't a bad habitat, as it highlights a few powerful Pokemon, some of which are traditionally a bit hard to farm. Gliscor has some real utility in the Great Ultra Leagues alike, making it arguably the premier goal here for anyone trying to flesh out their PvP team. Bastiodon also remains a great Pokemon in the Great League thanks in part to its tremendous bulk, and is very worth hunting down. It also takes XL Candy to get one with good IVs to its maximum potential, so farming candy while also farming for good PvP IVs is definitely a worthwhile endeavor. Toxicroak also has some use in the Ultra League despite its frailty.

For PvE, then go for Gible and Cranidos first, with Sneasel as a secondary option. Garchomp and Rampardos are still very much worth using despite being out-classed by their Shadow formes, while Weavile's more a filler.

Geothermal Lagoon Habitat

Hisuian qwilfish.

HisuiQwilfish

Hisuian Sneasel

HisuiSneasel

The Geothermal Lagoon habitat may have the best spawns for this event, generally speaking. Lickitung is among the best Pokemon in the Great League, and it needs XL Candy to really shine, so any chance to farm it down is definitely worth taking. Sneasler isn't the worst Pokemon in the Ultra/Great leagues, though it's actually Shadow Sneasler that has deeper utility in most cases. Togekiss remains a good option in the Master League in particular, though it's fallen off in recent years. Mamoswine is another Pokemon with solid Master League performance, so it's worth considering in its own right. Overqwil and Skuntank are also decent options as well that might be worth farming for, while Rhyperior is currently considered a decent option in the Master League. Finally, Abomasnow and Froslass have some utility in the Great League, while Abomasnow in particular also poses a threat in the Ultra League.

For those building a Raiding group, then we have Swinub for Mamoswine and Rhyhorn for Rhyperior as arguably the best overall options, while Buneary and Snover are also worth considering for the sake of Mega Lopunny and Mega Abomasnow, respectively. They're not the best in their types, but they can work as backups.

Incense Spawns

Unown

Unown... basically is worthless beyond its collector's value. During the Bustling Boardwalk and Toxic Digs habitats, it will spawn in its "H", "I", "N", "O", and "S" variants to spell out "Sinnoh". Ancient Grove and Geothermal Lagoon will have "H", "I", "S", and "U" to spell out "Hisui".

Other Gameplay Options

In conjunction with the Pokemon available above, we've got a few other options worth considering. Players will be able to take on Party Play for a chance to encounter Regigigas, and Routes will give encounters with White-Striped Basculin, the basis for Basculegion in the future.

Regigigas

Admittedly, it's a bit hard to try for any individual Pokemon from eggs, but it's still worth looking at what's on offer, if only to determine if it's worth using incubators.

Budew

Many of the Pokemon on offer here are a bit underwhelming. The stand-outs here are Riolu, Munchlax, Mantyke, and Gible, with several others worth picking up in their own right. However, the real winners here may be the 10 km hatches, as they're all regional Pokemon alongside Mime Jr. in 2 km eggs.

Again; it's far more difficult to get a specific hatch when compared to wild spawns, but if something on this list looks like something that you want added to your team/Pokedex, then it's probably best to keep active during the event to hatch as many eggs as possible. Fortunately, we also have 1/2 Hatch Distance for the event!

go tour sinnoh

Thus far, we currently have confirmed appearances for just about all of the Pokemon that originated in Sinnoh, but not all of them. And this is a bit odd, as every Go Tour event thus far has seen the complete release of the entire Pokedex for the regions that they're based on. However,  Manaphy, Phione,  and  especially  Arceus  are all missing.

Arceus

The lack of any sort of a reference to these Pokemon has left many players wondering if Niantic has plans to drop them mid-event as a non-advertised bonus. However, Niantic has been cited saying that they will not be released during Go Tour: Sinnoh due to their high-profile nature. And while the release of Manaphy, and especially Phione, likely wouldn't have made many great waves for the event, Arceus is definitely a big-name worthy of its own spotlight.

And while this is somewhat disappointing news for many fans, at least it won't leave players rushing to buy more Remote Raid passes after spending them all raiding for Dialga and Palkia's Origin Formes... though let's be honest; these Pokemon probably won't drop as Raid Bosses, at least at first. Still, with all of the hype surrounding this event and the entire season putting a heavy emphasis on Hisui and Sinnoh, I wouldn't be surprised if we see Arceus making its grand debut soon... though that's been speculation dropped by many players up to this point at various times in Pokemon Go's history, to be fair.

While there aren't a  tremendous  number of major targets here, but that's actually good, as it allows players to focus their efforts. And while the majority of the Pokemon on offer are more pvp-focused (with the obvious exception of the Origins), there's bound to be something for everyone here. So, for now, best of luck for everyone visiting Sinnoh/Hisui this weekend, and here's hoping that next year's inevitable trip to Unova is great as well!

Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh – Global Prep Guide

February 19, 2024

Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh – Global Prep Guide

Get a head start on this sensational sinnoh-themed event with some thoughtful planning and strategy..

P okémon GO Tour: Sinnoh – Global is just around the corner, taking place on February 24 and 25, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time . There’s a lot going on during this two-day celebration of all things Pokémon Diamond , Pokémon Pearl , Sinnoh, and Hisui, so a little planning will go a long way to help you maximize your GO Tour experience. From making decisions about which path you will take to preparing for raids against incredibly powerful Pokémon, there’s plenty you can do before the event to help your experience be as successful and enjoyable as possible.

Sort Out Your Storage

go tour sinnoh

If all goes well, you’ll catch a lot of Pokémon during this event. The last thing you want to do is stop in the middle of the fun to transfer Pokémon to Professor Willow because your Pokémon storage is full. Taking the time to transfer Pokémon now will save time and stress later, especially with the risk of accidentally transferring a Pokémon you meant to keep because you’re in a hurry.

This applies to item storage as well. While you’ll need lots of Poké Balls, Revives, Potions, Incubators, and more over the course of the event, you’ll also be acquiring new items by completing research tasks and participating in raids. That means you’ll need to be thoughtful about what you keep and what you discard. These are decisions you probably don’t want to be making while getting ready for your next Origin Forme Dialga raid, so clean your item storage now to save yourself stress later.

Choose Your Partner

go tour sinnoh

The exclusive Special Research story featuring Team GO Rocket requires you to choose between Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup. You’ll have the chance to make multiple decisions for this event, so choose early and wisely. Fortunately, there are no bad choices—all three are all adorable first partner Pokémon! But this is a good opportunity to assess whether you could most benefit from an agile Fire-type Pokémon, a proud Water-type Pokémon, or a sturdy Grass-type Pokémon.

Hit the Road

Make the most of your preparations by hopping on the Road to Sinnoh, an event taking place from February 19 at 10:00 a.m. to February 23, 2024, at 10:00 p.m. local time . All Trainers will be able to take advantage of a 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance bonus, Timed Research that awards encounters with Heatran, Origin Forme Giratina, Cresselia, and Darkrai, and more. Starting during this event, Trainers can also purchase one or both of the following paid research tickets for US$5.00 each (or the equivalent in your local currency)—the bonuses included in both tickets will last through the global event taking place that weekend!

The Road to Sinnoh: Raids ticket provides access to event-exclusive Timed Research, which includes rewards such as 10 Dialga Candy, 10 Palkia Candy, 5 Heatran Candy XL, 5 Giratina Candy XL, 5 Cresselia Candy XL, 5 Darkrai Candy XL, and an Eevee Mask for your avatar. Ticket holders will also receive an additional 5,000 XP for completing raids, 1 additional Candy for catching Pokémon in raids, and 2 additional Raid Passes from spinning Photo Discs at Gyms each day. If you’re working toward powering up certain Legendary or Mythical Pokémon, this could certainly be helpful as every Candy and Candy XL adds up.

Road to Sinnoh: Hatch gives Trainers the opportunity to earn Timed Research rewards that include encounters with Pachirisu, Chatot, and Carnivine, and a Pikachu Mask for your avatar. The ticket also includes event bonuses such as double Hatch XP, double Hatch Candy, and double Hatch Stardust!

Even if you don’t purchase a ticket, you can make the most of daily five-star raids featuring the following Raid Bosses: Darkrai (February 19); Cresselia (February 20); Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf (February 21); Heatran (February 22); and Origin Forme Giratina (February 23). Several of these powerful Pokémon appear frequently in the GO Battle League—Cresselia is a contender in the Ultra League and Origin Forme Giratina is found both in the Ultra League and Master League—making this an excellent opportunity to stock up Candy and Candy XL to power up your Pokémon.

Make Time and Space for Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia

go tour sinnoh

Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia will make their Pokémon GO debuts during this year’s GO Tour events. This is undoubtedly an exciting opportunity to capture extremely powerful Pokémon, and Trainers will likely want to participate in as many raids as possible. It’s a great use of your time and resources to power up a dozen or so Pokémon to challenge Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia before the event kicks off—while you only start each raid with six Pokémon in your battle party, having extra Pokémon waiting in the wings will ensure that you don’t have to stop to revive your Pokémon before diving into another raid. Stocking up on Revives, Max Revives, and Potions will help your Pokémon to quickly recover between raids.

Take Time for Trades

A Special Trade allows Trainers to swap Pokémon that can’t be traded normally—including Pokémon and Pokémon forms not currently registered to your Pokédex, Legendary Pokémon, and Shiny Pokémon—and you’ll have the opportunity to make up to six of these Special Trades each day during the event. Even with the increased limit, it may be a good idea to coordinate your Special Trades ahead of time considering how much there will be to do during the day. Trades made during the event will only cost half the usual Stardust, but it’s still a good idea to make sure you’ll have plenty for this event.

Stock Up on Useful Items

go tour sinnoh

Different Pokémon will be attracted to Incense at different points in the day, and you’ll want to catch as many different species of Pokémon as possible. Start collecting Incense now so you won’t run out! You’ll probably also want to make sure you have plenty of Poké Balls so you don’t run out during the event.

Gather Star Pieces and Lucky Eggs to maximize the Stardust and XP you gain by catching Pokémon and participating in raids.

Eggs placed in Incubators during the event will only require half of the normal Hatch Distance, so make sure to have Incubators at the ready!

Start Strategizing

Research tasks often involve evolving Pokémon, so hold onto some Pokémon that you know you want to evolve until the event. Consider adding a tag so you can easily find (and evolve) these Pokémon when the time comes, and make sure you have all the items and Candy you’ll need to evolve them.

Practice your Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws. Research tasks often challenge you to make these types of throws in succession, so you’ll want to be in good throwing form when the event begins.

Powering up Pokémon is another common research task. You can create a tag for Pokémon that you’d like to power up so you can complete any such tasks quickly and efficiently.

Take Care of Yourself

There’s a lot to do during Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh – Global, and you don’t want to play hungry or dehydrated! If you want to maximize your event time, you can prepare all the meals, drinks, and snacks you could possibly need ahead of time. If you’re planning on spending time outside during the event, don’t forget your sunscreen. And don’t forget to take occasional scheduled breaks. It might be hard to step away from the action for even a few minutes, but you’ll probably enjoy yourself more if you do!

GO Battle League Pokémon to Look Out For

go tour sinnoh

During this GO Tour, you’ll mainly be catching Pokémon originally discovered in the Sinnoh region. While you’ll want to catch as many different species of Pokémon as possible, there are some that may prove particularly helpful on your quest to master the GO Battle League. If you’re interested in adding any of these Pokémon to your GO Battle League lineup, try to catch a lot of them to collect the Candy you’ll need to power them up and teach them a second Charged Attack.

Pokémon you may encounter that perform well in the Great League include Lickitung, Umbreon, Bastiodon, and Toxicroak. These Pokémon—or the Pokémon that evolve into them—will appear in various habitats over the course of the event, so be sure to check the habitat schedules for the Pokémon you’re most interested in catching. While some of these Pokémon don’t require too much work to get into fighting shape, Lickitung requires a lot of Candy XL to approach the 1,500 CP cap, so you can certainly get a lot of mileage out of this event just by catching and powering up Lickitung.

In the Ultra League, Umbreon, Empoleon, and Toxicroak are all excellent Pokémon with a strong track record of performing well. Given that some of these Pokémon are also viable in Great League, you’ll want to make sure you maximize your Candy collection if you plan to power up one for each league.

As for the Master League, Dialga tends to dominate since it’s a rare Dragon-type Pokémon that isn’t vulnerable to Fairy-type attacks. With the Master League’s lack of CP limit, it’s definitely useful to bring Pokémon with the highest possible CP, so it’s well worth the time and effort to participate in Dialga raids and use either Pinap Berries or Silver Pinap Berries when the time comes to catch Dialga. Palkia is slightly less dominant than Dialga, but it’s still extremely useful—especially with the rise of Groudon armed with its Precipice Blades attack. Like Dialga, Palkia boasts an extremely high max CP, which can make it a challenge to fully power up. Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh – Global is a blessing for Trainers hunting for the necessary Palkia Candy and Palkia Candy XL to max out this Pokémon.

Check out the official Niantic Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh blog for additional information about the event.

Enjoy making the most of your GO Tour experience, Trainers!

Go Tour 2024 Road to Sinnoh quest steps and Dialga or Palkia choice in Pokémon Go

The Go Tour: Sinnoh event is nearly here!

Go Tour 2024: Road to Sinnoh is the warm-up Special Research quest for the Go Tour: Sinnoh event in Pokémon Go .

It's available for free for every player in Pokémon Go as the Go Tour: Sinnoh event is also free this year. If you're planning on partaking in this event, we highly recommend completing it before Saturday 24th February as your choice between Diamond and Pearl will affect said event's gameplay.

Below you'll find all of the Go Tour 2024: Road to Sinnoh quest steps in Pokémon Go, along with the differences between the Dialga and Palkia versions of the quest.

On this page:

  • 'Go Tour 2024 Road to Sinnoh' quest steps
  • Diamond version of Go Tour 2024 Road to Sinnoh quest steps
  • Pearl version of Go Tour 2024 Road to Sinnoh quest steps
  • Dialga or Palkia: Best choice for Go Tour 2024 Road to Sinnoh
  • How to get Go Tour 2024 Road to Sinnoh quest

'Go Tour 2024 Road to Sinnoh' quest steps in Pokémon Go

Go Tour 2024: Road to Sinnoh is the lead up Special Research quest for both the Global and Los Angeles version of the Go Tour: Sinnoh event in Pokemon Go. It will automatically unlock for free for every player on Thursday 15th February at 10am (local time).

It's also a branching quest - asking you to pick between the Diamond and Pearl versions of the Go Tour: Sinnoh event. Your decision will not only decide some of the rewards you receive from Go Tour 2024: Road to Sinnoh, but a selection of bonuses you can enjoy during the Go Tour: Sinnoh event itself. Choose carefully though, because you can not change your decision once it's made.

Keep in mind that you need to complete this quest before the Go Tour: Sinnoh Global event on Saturday 24th February to ensure you can properly enjoy it. If you attended the Go Tour event in Los Angeles, then your choice between Diamond or Pearl will carry over to the Global event.

Below you'll find the first quest step for Go Tour 2024: Road to Sinnoh and, afterwards, sections covering the challenges for both the Diamond and Pearl versions of the quest. Be wary of spoilers !

'Go Tour 2024: Road to Sinnoh' Step 3 of 3

  • Catch a Pokémon originally discovered in the Sinnoh region ( Gen 4 ) - 10 Bidoof Candy

Rewards: 2024 XP, 2024 Stardust and a Bidoof encounter.

Pearl version of Go Tour 2024 Road to Sinnoh quest steps in Pokémon Go

If you choose the Pearl version of Go Tour 2024: Road to Sinnoh, you'll have the following quest steps to complete:

  • Feed your buddy - 10 Bagon Candy
  • Feed your buddy - 100 Mega Salamence Energy

Rewards: Pearl Badge, 3 Palkia Candy and a Bagon encounter.

Dialga or Palkia: Best choice for Go Tour 2024 Road to Sinnoh in Pokémon Go

When deciding between the Diamond and Pearl - Dialga or Palkia - version of the Go Tour 2024: Road to Sinnoh quest in Pokémon Go, we recommend considering which Adventure Effect you prefer.

Origin Forme Dialga's Adventure Effect, Roar of Time, has the ability to pause the timer on Incense, Daily Adventure Incense , Lucky Eggs and Star Pieces for six minutes. This can then be further extended in two hour instalments if you're happy to part with more Dialga Candy and Stardust. Thanks to this, Roar of Time is perfect for gathering additional XP, Stardust or hunting down rare Pokémon .

Meanwhile, Origin Forme Palkia's Adventure Effect, Spacial Rend, allows you to enter Pokémon encounters at an increased distance for you to 10 minutes. Just like with Origin Forme Dialga's Adventure Effect, this effect can be extended by spending more Palkia Candy and Stardust. This Adventure Effect can come in handy for rural players or people who don't have that much time to play Pokémon Go as it increases the amount of wild Pokémon you can encounter.

There's also three additional bonuses that your choice will unlock:

  • An encounter with Origin Forme Dialga or Palkia, which will know its Adventure Effect move.
  • The Adventure Effect will last for double the amount of time.
  • The Pokémon Go Tour: Sinnoh Global Special Research will reward either Dialga or Palkia Candy.
  • A Diamond or Pearl Go Tour: Sinnoh badge.

go tour sinnoh

Since the above bonuses will make it easier to get and use one specific Adventure Effect, it really is best to make your choice based upon which one you prefer. (Though you could always base your decision on which badge design you like best - I'm not your boss.)

Personally, I choose the Diamond version of this quest as I want to use Origin Forme Dialga's Adventure Effect to increase the amount of time I have with the Daily Adventure Incense. (It would be really nice to finally catch one of those Galarian Legendary Birds ...) The increased Lucky Egg duration won't go amiss either.

It's important to note that if you attended the Go Tour: Sinnoh event in Los Angeles, then your choice of Diamond and Pearl will carry over to the Global event. This means if you picked Diamond for the Los Angeles event, you can not switch to Pearl for the Global event.

The World of Wonders season has come to Pokémon Go, which has brought the World of Wonders quest. The Bug Out event is currently running. Don't forget to try out Routes , Gift Exchange and Party Play while you're hunting down rare Pokémon , fighting in the Go Battle League or competing in PokéStop Showcases .

How to get Go Tour 2024 Road to Sinnoh quest in Pokémon Go

The Go Tour 2024: Road to Sinnoh quest is free for every player in Pokémon Go as the Go Tour: Sinnoh Global event is also free. The only part of the event you do need to purchase is the Masterwork Research quest for shiny Shaymin, which will be available from Monday 19th February to Sunday 25th February.

The quest should automatically unlock once 10am (local time) on Thursday 15th February has passed. I will note that it took me opening and closing Pokémon Go several times for this research to appear in my version of the game. If you're experiencing a similar issue and have passed the time when the quest should become available in your region, I recommend doing the same. This will cause Pokémon Go to refresh and, eventually, should get a notification for the quest's beginning.

go tour sinnoh

It's also important to note that while Go Tour 2024: Road to Sinnoh is a Special Research quest, you will want to complete it before Saturday 24th February. (Or Saturday 17th February, if you're attending the Los Angeles event.) This is because you need to decide between the Diamond and Pearl version of the event before you can fully partake it in. Sure, you could complete this quest on the first morning of the event, but do you want to cut into your Pokémon catching time?

Whether you choose the Diamond or Pearl - hope you enjoy the Road to Sinnoh quest!

Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh has finally been revealed, meaning Trainers will be able to enjoy the Diamond & Pearl region for an entire weekend at the end of February 2024.

The annual GO Tour events are some of the most exciting times to play Pokemon GO . We've already revisited the Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn regions, and in 2024 it's time to catch Pokemon from the beloved Sinnoh region.

Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh event dates and times

Trainers can enjoy Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh on Saturday, February 24 and Sunday, February 25, 2024 . Event hours are 10AM to 6PM local time on both days. This is a free event for anyone to take part in.

There will also be an in-person Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh event taking place in Los Angeles on the weekend before, although you'll need to purchase a ticket and be on location to take part in that event.

Choose a badge: Diamond or Pearl?

Diamond and Pearl badges in Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh

During the Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh event, you'll be able to choose either a Diamond badge or a Pearl badge. Your decision will influence certain rewards and bonuses you get to enjoy, so choose wisely!

Team GO Rocket Special Research story

An event-exclusive Special Research story will be available to claim during the Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh event. Similar to last year's An Uneasy Alliance quest, this one will see you team up with Team GO Rocket .

Masterwork Research with Shiny Shaymin

Shiny Shaymin in Pokemon GO

Trainers will be able to purchase a ticket for event-exclusive Masterwork Research leading to an encounter with the Mythical Shiny Shaymin - marking the first time this Shiny has been available in Pokemon GO.

Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh Raid Bosses

The following Raid Bosses will be available to battle during this event:

Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh Habitat spawns

There will be four rotating Habitats to experience during Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh, with each one featuring a different lineup of themed wild spawns to encounter.

These are Bustling Boardwalk, Ancient Grove, Toxic Digs, and Geothermal Lagoon . You'll be able to keep track of which Habitat is running by checking the Today View during the event.

Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh Incense spawns

During event hours, the following Pokemon will be attracted to Incense: Unown H, Unown I, Unown N, Unown O, and Unown S . As you can probably guess, these are the letters required to spell out Sinnoh.

More Pokemon will be attracted to Incense, but they've not been revealed yet.

Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh Egg pool

The following Pokemon will be able to hatch from Eggs during this event:

Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh event bonuses

The following bonuses will be available for all Trainers during event hours:

  • 1/2 Hatch Distance for Eggs placed in Incubators during the event
  • Up to 6 Special Trades can be made each day
  • 1/2 Stardust cost for trades

Pokemon GO Sinnoh Stone – How to Get Them and All Evolutions

Image of Amanda Kay Oaks

Most evolution items in Pokemon GO can be acquired through random chance at PokeStops. But some, like the Sinnoh Stone, are a bit more elusive and can be tricky to obtain if you don’t know how. To make things a little easier, we’re breaking down where to find a Sinnoh Stone in Pokemon GO and which Pokemon you can evolve once you’ve got one.

What is a Sinnoh Stone in Pokemon GO?

Screenshot from Pokemon GO with an arrow pointing to a Sinnoh Stone

The Sinnoh Stone is a somewhat rare evolution item in Pokemon GO. Similar to the Unova Stone, They are unique to Pokemon GO . They replace some of the traditional evolution stones from the mainline games.

If you’re trying to evolve a Pokemon and are missing a sort of shooting-star-shaped item, you probably need to find a Sinnoh Stone.

How to Find a Sinnoh Stone in Pokemon GO

Outside of special event rewards, there are three main ways to get a Sinnoh Stone in Pokemon GO – Field Research breakthroughs, the Battle League, and Team GO Rocket Boss Battles.

To get a Sinnoh Stone through Field Research, you must earn seven daily stamps. You can earn one of these stamps per day by checking off a Field Research task. Once you reach day 7, you’ll make a research breakthrough and earn a reward. Sinnoh Stones are one possible reward you can receive through these breakthroughs.

You can also battle your way to a Sinnoh Stone in the GO Battle League or by fighting against Team GO Rocket Bosses. Both of these battles can sometimes drop Sinnoh Stones as rewards, making them worth a try if you need one of these evolution items.

Keep in mind that you’ll have to battle a few GO Rocket Grunts to assemble Mysterious Components into a Rocket Radar. Once you equip the radar, you’ll be able to battle a Team GO Rocket Boss.

None of these methods will get you a Sinnoh Stone 100% of the time, but they’re the most reliable way to get your hands on this elusive item.

All Pokemon that Evolve Using a Sinnoh Stone in Pokemon GO

If you have a Sinnoh Stone, you’ll want to pick which Pokemon to evolve. To help you decide, here’s every Pokemon in Pokemon GO that evolves using a Sinnoh Stone.

For now, these are all the creatures that evolve using a Sinnoh Stone in Pokemon GO . We may eventually see more additions as the game expands its Pokedex.
