This four-bedroom villa is a part of Seclude’s boutique hotel portfolio in Kasauli. ends an eclectic character to your vacation. Kasauli, a hilly cantonment town on the route from Chandigarh to Shimla in the Solan district, is the perfect calm vacation destination, especially for a weekend trip. Kasauli is best renowned for its ease of access from Chandigarh and Delhi (it is only 65 km from Chandigarh), not for any specific attractions or activities, but rather for its lovely villas and tranquil surroundings.

Kasauli is a cantonment town filled with opulent Victorian structures constructed by the British who once lived there. The charming community features scenic vistas and hiking trails. Christ Church, Central Research Institute, Monkey Temple, and Sunset Point are among of the tourist hotspots in this area.

Places to visit Kasauli

Monkey point.

The highest point in the town and one of Kasauli’s most well-known attractions is Monkey Point. This destination, which is only 4 kilometres from the bus stop, contains a modest temple to Lord Hanuman that is constantly populated with monkeys. The Monkey Point, which is the highest point in the community, provides a panoramic view of the Sutlej River and the adjacent cities of Chandigarh, Kalka, Panchkula, and other locations.

Sunset Point & Lover’s name

Sunset Point in Kasauli is a well-liked but remarkably calm location to take in the sunset and the surrounding pine-covered valleys and scenery. The Lover’s Lane, a footpath or route that offers a quieter walk through the valleys and some of Kasauli’s most serene and breathtaking scenery, located close to the Sunset Point. However, since it tends to be a relatively remote location with few amenities, it is advisable to leave the region before it gets dark or late at night.

Toy Train Ride

The narrow-gauge Kalka to Shimla toy train is well-known for its breathtaking vistas of the highlands and neighbouring communities. The train travels on a trip through huge green hills and deodar and pine woods, both of which are on the UNESCO World Heritage List. One can travel from Dharampur, which is 10 kilometres from Kasauli, to Barog by train, then take the train back. The lengthy tunnel in Barog takes three minutes to traverse. Through the websites of IRCTC and other partners, tickets may be purchased.

Gilbert Trail

A 1.5-kilometer easy hike is Gilbert Trail. The walk leaves from Kasauli Club and ends close to Sunset Point at the Air Force Station. In the strat, the path is broad, but it gradually becomes narrower. Gilbert Tail is renowned for its beautiful views and various bird species.

How to reach Kasauli

Kasauli is only 65 kilometres and 40 km from Chandigarh, respectively, and Chandigarh or Kalka is the best way to go there. The closest wide gauge railroad station is in Kalka, and the closest airport is in Chandigarh. The closest international airport is in New Delhi, which is about 280 kilometres away from Kasauli. Buses and taxis may be easily accessed from adjacent locations to get to Kasauli thanks to the excellent road connectivity.

Kasauli, a charming small town in Himachal Pradesh, receives a lot of visitors virtually all year round. The other winter months are rather nice, despite the harsh winters that last through December and January. Tourists like the summer because the weather is still pleasant and cool, while the monsoons are ideal for outdoor activities.
