For more than five decades — from Santana 's earliest days as a groundbreaking Afro-Latin-blues-rock fusion outfit in San Francisco — Carlos Santana has been the visionary force behind artistry that transcends musical genres and generational, cultural, and geographical boundaries. To date, Santana has won ten Grammy Awards and three Latin Grammy Awards , with a record-tying nine Grammy Awards for a single project for 1999's "Supernatural" (including "Album Of The Year" and "Record Of The Year" for "Smooth" ). He has received the Billboard Century Award (1996),was ushered into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame (1998),received the Billboard Latin Music Awards' Lifetime Achievement honor (2009),and was the recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors Award (2013). Among many other distinctions, Carlos Santana has been cited by Rolling Stone as No. 11 on their list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists Of All Time"; and has joined THE ROLLING STONES as one of only two bands to have an album reach the Top 10 in every decade since the 1960s. In 2018, he released his first "MasterClass" , and celebrated two epic milestones, the 50th anniversary of his legendary performance at Woodstock , and the 50th anniversary of his masterpiece "Abraxas" . This year he celebrates the 25th anniversary of his groundbreaking album "Supernatural" . Santana 's most recent release, "Let The Guitar Play" (feat. Darryl "DMC" McDaniels ),follows on the heels of his powerful, energy-infused "Blessings And Miracles" (2021) that features collaborations with Rob Thomas , Chris Stapleton , Steve Winwood and many others. The epic feature documentary "Carlos" , produced by Sony Music Entertainment and Imagine Documentaries , is a celebration of Carlos Santana 's life and career. It had its world premiere at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival and is now available to stream worldwide. Santana has been in residency in Las Vegas for over 15 years and will continue to perform at House of Blues Las Vegas where he recently celebrated his 10th anniversary in the intimate venue.

For more than two decades, the Grammy - and Academy Award -nominated rock band COUNTING CROWS have enchanted listeners worldwide with their intensely soulful and intricate take on timeless rock & roll. Exploding onto the music scene in 1993 with their multi-platinum breakout album "August And Everything After" , the band has gone on to release seven studio albums, selling more than 20 million records worldwide, and is revered as one of the world's most pre-eminent live touring rock bands.

In October 1996, the band's double-platinum sophomore studio album, "Recovering The Satellites" , debuted at Number One and further solidified their growing reputation as one of the leading American alternative rock bands in the world. A follow-up to their early success, COUNTING CROWS went on to release "This Desert Life" (1999), "Hard Candy" (2002), "Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings" (2008), "Underwater Sunshine (Or What We Did On Our Summer Vacation)" (2012), "Echoes Of The Outlaw Roadshow" (2013) and "Somewhere Under Wonderland" (2014). In 2004, COUNTING CROWS recorded the chart-topping "Accidentally In Love" for the animated motion picture "Shrek 2" . The instant success of the track earned them an Academy Award nomination for "Best Original Song" at the 2005 Academy Awards , a Golden Globe nomination for "Best Original Song" and a Grammy Award nomination for "Best Song Written For A Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media".

In September 2014, COUNTING CROWS released their critically acclaimed seventh studio album, "Somewhere Under Wonderland" , which debuted at No. 10 on the charts and was heralded by the Daily Telegraph as "the best collection of songs since their debut." The album consisted of nine sprawling tracks around rich sonic tapestries, which yielded some of the most grandiose yet intimate songs COUNTING CROWS had recorded to date. 2018 marked 25 years since the band's inception and sent Adam Duritz , Jim Bogios , David Bryson , Charlie Gillingham , David Immergluck , Millard Powers and Dan Vickrey back on the road for the "25 Years And Counting" tour. In 2021, COUNTING CROWS ranked No. 8 on Billboard 's "Greatest of All Time: Adult Alternative Artists" 25th-anniversary chart.

After seven years, Adam Duritz and COUNTING CROWS released "Butter Miracle: Suite One" in May 2021 to rave reviews. The band also kicked off their first tour since 2018, "The Butter Miracle Tour" , from 2021 through 2023, with sell-out performances across North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Delivered with a level of passion and soul equal to the legendary sonic charge of his guitar, the sound of Carlos Santana is one of the world’s best-known musical signatures. For more than five decades—from Santana’s earliest days as a groundbreaking Afro-Latin-blues-rock fusion outfit in San Francisco—Carlos has been the visionary force behind artistry that transcends musical genres and generational, cultural, and geographical boundaries. Most recently, CARLOS, the feature documentary directed by Rudy Valdez and produced by Imagine Documentaries and Sony Music Entertainment celebrating the music icon’s life and career, premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and was released worldwide.

Counting Crows have enchanted listeners worldwide for more than two decades with their intensely soulful and intricate take on timeless rock & roll. Exploding onto the music scene in 1993 with their multi-platinum breakout album, August and Everything After, the band has gone on to release seven studio albums, selling more than 20 million records worldwide, and is revered as one of the world’s most pre-eminent live touring rock bands.

About Carlos Santana:

For more than five decades – from Santana’s earliest days as a groundbreaking Afro-Latin-blues-rock fusion outfit in San Francisco – Carlos Santana has been the visionary force behind artistry that transcends musical genres and generational, cultural, and geographical boundaries. To date, Santana has won ten GRAMMY Awards and three Latin GRAMMY Awards, with a record-tying nine GRAMMY Awards for a single project for 1999’s Supernatural (including Album of the Year and Record of the Year for “Smooth”). He has received the Billboard Century Award (1996), was ushered into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (1998), received the Billboard Latin Music Awards’ Lifetime Achievement honor (2009), and was the recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors Award (2013). Among many other distinctions, Carlos Santana has been cited by Rolling Stone as #11 on their list of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time;” and has joined the Rolling Stones as one of only two bands to have an album reach the Top 10 in every decade since the 1960s. In 2018, he released his first MasterClass, and celebrated two epic milestones the 50th anniversary of his legendary performance at Woodstock, and the 50th anniversary of his masterpiece Abraxas . This year he celebrates the 25 th anniversary of his groundbreaking album Supernatural. Santana’s most recent release, “Let The Guitar Play” (Feat. Darryl “DMC” McDaniels) , follows on the heels of his powerful, energy-infused Blessings and Miracles (2021) that features collaborations with Rob Thomas, Chris Stapleton, Steve Winwood, and many others. The epic feature documentary CARLOS , produced by Sony Music Entertainment and Imagine Documentaries, is a celebration of Carlos Santana’s life and career. About Counting Crows:

For more than two decades, the GRAMMY and Academy Award-nominated rock band Counting Crows have enchanted listeners worldwide with their intensely soulful and intricate take on timeless rock & roll. Exploding onto the music scene in 1993 with their multi-platinum breakout album, August and Everything After, the band has gone on to release seven studio albums, selling more than 20 million records worldwide, and is revered as one of the world’s most pre-eminent live touring rock bands.

In October 1996, the band’s double-platinum sophomore studio album, Recovering the Satellites , debuted at number one and further solidified their growing reputation as one of the leading American alternative rock bands in the world. A follow-up to their early success, Counting Crows went on to release This Desert Life (1999), Hard Candy (2002), Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings (2008), Underwater Sunshine (Or What We Did on Our Summer Vacation) (2012), Echoes of the Outlaw Roadshow (2013) and Somewhere Under Wonderland (2014.)  In 2004, Counting Crows recorded the chart-topping “Accidentally in Love” for the animated motion picture Shrek 2. The instant success of the track earned them an Academy Award nomination for “Best Original Song” at the 2005 Academy Awards, a Golden Globe nomination for “Best Original Song” and a GRAMMY Award nomination for “Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media.”

In September 2014, Counting Crows released their critically acclaimed seventh studio album, Somewhere Under Wonderland , which debuted at No. 10 on the charts and was heralded by The Daily Telegraph as “… the best collection of songs since their debut.” The album consisted of nine sprawling tracks around rich sonic tapestries, which yielded some of the most grandiose yet intimate songs Counting Crows had recorded to date. 2018 marked 25 years since the band’s inception and sent Adam Duritz, Jim Bogios, David Bryson, Charlie Gillingham, David Immergluck, Millard Powers, and Dan Vickrey back on the road for the “25 YEARS AND COUNTING” tour. In 2021, Counting Crows ranked #8 on Billboard’s “Greatest of All Time: Adult Alternative Artists” 25 th- anniversary chart.

After seven years, Adam Duritz and Counting Crows released Butter Miracle: Suite One in May 2021 to rave reviews. The band also kicked off their first tour since 2018, “The Butter Miracle Tour,” from 2021 through 2023, with sell-out performances across North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Counting Crows is an American rock band that hails from the San Francisco Bay area in CA, U.S. They formed in 1991 and have sold more than 20 million records worldwide.

The group was originally comprised of acoustic duo Adam Duritz and guitarist David Bryson. They spent their early musical career playing coffee shop gigs in San Francisco. The two were interested in recording demos as a band and additional members bassist Matt Malley, keyboardist Charlie Gillingham, and drummer Steve Bowman completed the beginnings of what would be Counting Crows. The band’s name alludes to the British nursery rhyme “One For Sorrow.”

The year 1993 became a turning point for the band. First they were asked to perform at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony as a last minute substitute for Van Morrison. Later that year Counting Crows was signed to Geffen Records and released their debut album “August and Everything After.” They supported the album by joining tours with Bob Dylan, Los Lobos, and the Cranberries. The album’s single “Mr. Jones” exploded on the airwaves and the video became widely requested on MTV. The album stayed on the charts for an impressive 93 weeks starting in 1994. The acknowledgement led them to tour with the Rolling Stones during that same year.

With the addition of drummer Ben Mize and guitarist Dan Vickrey, Counting Crows released their sophomore album “Recovering the Satellites” in 1995. It reached No. 1 in 1996 and songs like “A Long December” and “Have You Seen Me Lately” became hits. Counting Crows has had success in the film industry. Their song “Accidentally in Love” was featured on the animated film “Shrek 2”’ soundtrack and they received nominations for a Grammy, Oscar, and Golden Globe Award for their contribution.

Counting Crows cites Van Morrison, R.E.M., Mike + The Mechanics, Nirvana, Bob Dylan, and Nirvana as their musical influences.

Live reviews

This gig was marketed as part of Bluesfest and thus you got 3 bands for the price of one. The opening act was The White Buffalo. When they took to the stage there weren't many people in the arena, but those that were there got a real treat. The White Buffalo are a 3 piece band playing a mix of blues and ballads and went down well with those that were there to see them. Really enjoyed their set.

Then after a change of stage set Alison Krauss came on. Alison has a beautiful voice complimented by the two members of the The Cox Family. Alison also plays fiddle, and the crowd were treated to a mixture of country and folk music.

Then the headline act. I was disappointed to see the O2 Arena had not sold out this gig, especially as the Crows played two sell out concerts there back in 2014. Also the Arena had curtained off the upper tier so the O2 was probably only really half full, if that. With the London gig following the Dublin gig these were the only two venues on the tour for the UK and Ireland so I was surprised not to see a bigger crowd.

No matter, the Crows were playing the last night of their worldwide tour celebrating 25 years and didn't disappoint. This concert leant heavily on the August And Everything album with songs like Mr Jones, Omaha, Rain King, Round Here, Raining in Baltimore and Murder of One. They also played a Teenage Fanclub number that they usually play in the warm-up earlier in the day, and a favourite of mine, Mrs Potter's Lullaby. Adam likes to chat to the audience and explained the background to nearly every song. As is quite often the case the the sound mix was not quite right for the opening numbers and Adam's vocals were slightly drowned out by the instruments, but once the mix was right the Crows really got into their stride. They finished with Holiday in Spain and you came away feeling you had your money's worth. It was the first time in 25 years I had seen the Crows live and was determined no to miss them this time they came to the UK. I thoroughly enjoyed the show.

The lack of response to my invite to go see Counting Crows on Thursday night wasn’t surprising. Even the lure of comp’d tickets wouldn’t budge those in my social circle. There is a part of me that understands this, but I do not understand confusing Counting Crows with the likes of Gin Blossoms, Train or (uggghh) Hootie & The Blowfish. A compilation album comprised of the best songs songs from those bands wouldn’t hold a torch to August and Everything After. If you hit puberty within a decade of that debut album, you have no excuse not to know every word to every song. I’m not saying it’s a groundbreaking work of staggering genius, it’s just one of those albums that defined a time. So, when Adam Duritz took the stage, with his ridiculous mess of mangy dreads, and sang “Step out the front door like a ghost into the fog…“, I knew I made the right decision by rolling solo. Opening with “Round Here” was somewhat of a false promise as to how much August material would be performed on this particular night, but even though “Omaha” and “Perfect Blue Buildings” were glaring holes in the setlist, I am happy to report that Counting Crows sound as good as they did when I saw them in ’96. “Mr. Jones”, an extended “Rain King”, and even a few tracks from the underrated Recovering the Satellites were all highlights of the night, but even the new stuff didn’t sound like it was coming from a band hanging on to a ledge above obscurity. Sure, their latest is an album of covers, so it does help that you’d know the songs even if you hadn’t listened to it, but I have to say Duritz and crew put on a hell’va show. A show they should be proud of 20 years into their career. I am bummed I missed all the openers, but when they all came back out for a collaborative “Hangingaround”, it put a cap on an excellent evening on the Rocks.

I'm a pretty big fan of the Crows, and I attended the show with five other people, including my wife, who were not as into them as I am, so I couldn't help but think of how they were experiencing the show...

I was quite disappointed in their song selection, leaving out at least 4 or 5 songs that my friends would have been mostly familiar with, and that I was really hoping to hear. As 'Rain King' came to close out the show, I knew that it was the last song, so I gave up on hoping to hear them, but as everyone loves 'Rain King', we all stood up to get into it, and It then felt almost like a f.u. as Adam erratically changed the timing of all the versus, making you look stupid if you tried to sing along to it (I hate it when singers do that).

The most perplexing concert moment that I ever experienced was when they came out for their first encore, and they played 'Palisades Park', which is a 13 minute opus from their latest album. This was their encore?? Nobody knows that song. Even the hardcore fans who may love that song had to be distracted by the droves of people that were filing out of the venue. It resembled a sports arena when the home team is getting blown out in the 4th quarter. The second encore saw them bringing a whole bunch of extra people (un-introduced) onto the stage, and it felt like the whole show was only intended for them and their friends. The energy for the overall show fell flat. I am not interested in seeing them again.

Going to watch a Counting Crows show will transport you back to the early 90s...in a good way. Adam Duritz and his signature hairdo will take you on a mystical, musical journey through time, leaving you smiling and happy and probably sweaty at the end of it. Counting Crows know their audience and make sure to play the songs that you came to hear. Don't worry, you won't leave without listening to the classic hits from August and Everything After (Mr. Jones, Round Here, etc.). I mean, that's why you came to the show, right? They don't want a riot.

Luckily their newer stuff is just as catchy and you will find yourself humming along (or attempting to sing along, like I do) and dancing in a way that people do at concerts that are mostly attended by those who were fortunate enough to get a babysitter for the night. After a few domestic beers everyone starts to dance a little bit. Not to mention that after a few beers every song that is played will sound like the "BEST SONG EVER!!!" And that's what a Counting Crows show has got going for it, familiarity and domestic beers. If you're over 30, you should check out one of their shows. If you're under 30, see if any of your parents' friends need a babysitter so they can go.

I attended the gig @ PNC Center in Holmdel. the crowd was a bit rough and there were teens who were annoying in front of us. we had lawn seats. my friend karina really was spent after that ordeal. she didn't talk the rest of the evening home. Citizen Cope was in great form. CC were a bit underwhelming. it just didn't resonate for me. i don't know what to expect from the audience this time and time again. Anyhow, sorry to disappoint. adam and co played the hits and Holiday in Spain was the encore. i just wish my friend enjoyed herself. the potheads can stay home. i've got nothing against it. i'm just not in college anymore. 40 years on. i'd like to recommend the CC but not at this venue.

The VA beach show was AMAZING!!! The Counting Crows has and will be our favorite band forever. The prolific songwriting coupled with awesome harmonies and tight backing instrumental work is continually jaw dropping. Thank you, Adam, for letting us into your world for a few moments while talking about the inspiration for some of your songs. Here’s to another 25 years!! Can’t wait for the next album and every one to follow!!!!

I love the counting crows and have been listening to them since the 90s. I have never seen them live before and was really excited until they got in to about their 3rd song when I realized how talkie he is while he is singing. At one point he had talked or changed every one of their songs which kinda sucked. I wasn't very impressed with his stage presence and style of singing, I will just have to stick to the radio versions.

Great gig on a dry summer evening in Dublin (a rare alignment of events).

The set list was a good mix of favourites and the latest album material.

It is always interesting to hear how they play older songs which they will have re-interpreted after having played them so much. It keeps the audience on their toes when they try to sing along (something an Irish audience will always do).

I've been a big fan since I was very young, but i'm sad to say this will almost certainly be the last time I see them live. Adam sounds nothing like he used to and there is seemingly little effort put into compensating for the decline in quality with additional effort and or set design. This band is a shell of what they were a decade ago and it's a damn shame to see them go out this way.

The Counting Crows cancelled the show in Paris because one of the band members was 'physically ill'. One day later they played at a sold out venue in Amsterdam and played 23(!!) songs. Was it really the illness or just that the concert in Paris wasn't sold out. This was the second time that they cancelled a concert in Paris. I'm completely done with the Counting Crows!

Counting Crows Announce ‘Butter Miracle’ Tour

By Brian Hiatt

Brian Hiatt

After releasing their first new music since 2014 with this spring’s Butter Miracle, Suite One , Counting Crows are starting their Butter Miracle Tour on August 7th in Atlantic City, N.J., and wrapping up back on the East Coast on October 5th, at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom. Butter Miracle is a glam-influenced, interconnected four-song release that will eventually be the first half of a full Counting Crows album, with another, still-in-progress suite filling the second half.

“I can’t wait to figure out how to work the Butter Miracle Suite into the set,” Duritz says. “Mostly, though, I’m just so happy to get back to playing shows again.” Here’s more from his recent conversation with Rolling Stone ; for full tour dates, see below.

You started writing this music at a friend’s place in the U.K. How did you begin? My friend was off at work in London, and my girlfriend was not there at the time. There was nobody for miles around, and I just realized, “Oh, this might be a good time to write.” I rented a piano, a little keyboard, and brought it down there. And I just started playing a little bit. Then when I came back the next time, I really started working. It just occurred to me that I felt like I wanted to play and write, which hadn’t happened in a while.

“Tall Grass,” the first song you wrote, has a unique feel to it. How’d that come about? I hadn’t written in a long time. It’s almost a little dirge-like, the beginning. I think partially, I couldn’t have written anything more complicated than that very basic thing at that time. It was just, like, a couple chords back and forth. They’re not very melodic. And then midway through it, I developed a different chord pattern that opens up more, that is more melodic. As I started writing more, I got more facility back and the songs developed much more complexity, but at the beginning, I just wasn’t capable of writing anything much more complicated, because I hadn’t touched a piano in a long time. I’m not a very good musician. I have to really try, because I can’t play with a lot of facility. I can’t play by ear. And because of the way dissociation works, I kind of forget how to play every time I don’t play for a little while. I have to sort of feel it out and relearn it and poke at things.

Editor’s picks

The 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, the 50 worst decisions in movie history, every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term.

How did “Angel of 14th Street” come together? We were in a pickup truck in England going into town to get some groceries. And this Bombay Bicycle Club song came on, this kind of a dance tune with this weird, cool bouncy little keyboard line. The idea of that kind of song stuck with me.

Does it feel like you’re going incognito since you got rid of your dreads? I don’t recognize myself half the time. I don’t really know, though, because we had been in a pandemic for so long, so it hasn’t been a factor. I’m not sure. Incognito is nice. There’s things I like about being famous too, obviously. I think it’s pretty cool in some ways. But I could find something to complain about in any situation. [Laughs.] I’m very flexible that way.

It feels like the era of hating on Counting Crows is over, and that people are able to appreciate the band more at the moment. Do you have a sense of that? Well, I’ve never felt it was that way with other musicians. I think we are beloved among musicians; we’re very influential among musicians. That’s how Chris Carrabba [of Dashboard Confessional] became one of my best friends, because he talked about us a lot. And then he asked me to sing on stuff. But in the media and the public, I think there’s been a certain jaded feeling about us. You know, there were years in the past where we mostly got written about, instead of reviews of live shows or records, they were talking about me complaining about being famous while dating hot chicks, so I must be full of shit. There were a lot of reviews that had to do with somebody they thought I dated, which didn’t have anything to do with a live show. But that all seemed to be stopping during [2008’s] Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings. And it really didn’t seem to be a big factor during [2014’s] Somewhere Under Wonderland .

Counting Crows, Banshee Season Tour Opening Night in Omaha, Nebraska June 13th, 2023

  • June 15, 2023
  • International Concert Reviews
  • by Ehud Lazin Photographer/Writer

Earlier this week veteran rockers Counting Crows embarked on a massive four-month, 56-date summer tour dubbed “ Banshee Season “, with special guests Dashboard Confessional and Frank Turner on select dates.  The band’s recent two-year tour supporting their latest release The Butter Miracle Suite One just ended a few months ago with final dates in New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa. Prior to the show in Omaha on June 13th, 2023, the band made a surprise visit to the legendary Troubador in Los Angeles, a venue they played early in their career, and played an intimate show for Sirius XM .

Opening night started fittingly, “somewhere in middle America” in Omaha, NB. The show took place at the Steelhouse Omaha , which just opened its doors for the first time on May 12th, 2023, and had only hosted three shows prior to Counting Crows. Though the Banshee Season tour featured Dashboard Confessional at almost all its stops, opening night was billed with Counting Crows headlining the show with no support act.

While all the stats aligned for this show, with the venue, the sold-out crowd, opening night of the tour, it was not without some drama. Prior to showtime, guitarists Dan Vickrey tested positive for Covid and had to quarantine. The remaining 6 members of the band, lead singer Adam Duritz , Drummer Jim Bogios , Bass player Millard Powers, Keyboard player Charlie Gillingham, Guitarists Dave Bryson, and lead Guitarist David Immergluck had to figure out how to revise the setlist to accommodate the last minute change.

Duritz came out on stage and told the crowd how the entire saga unfolded, and why they were down one band member, and without missing a beat they opened up the show with “Omaha”, off their debut album August And Everything After , which is celebrating 30 years since it’s release this coming September. During the two-hour show, due to Dan Vickery not being able to play, some obvious changes were made. The band could not perform the Butter Miracle Suite in its entirety, and the band went ahead and played 6 more songs from August and Everything After as Dan Vickery was not yet in the band when that album came out. Dave Bryson and David Immergluck took on additional parts during other songs and changed some of the arrangements in order to bridge the gap. Being the professional seasoned musicians they all are, the show was fantastic, high energy and Adam’s crowd banter was fresh and funny. All in all a great opening night to what is set to be a great summer tour!

The band is teaming up with NUGS again this year, and offering live recordings of the entire tour to stream or download on the platform, the Omaha show is available here . The tour resumes Saturday in Indianapolis.

In October 1996, the band's double-platinum sophomore studio album, Recovering the Satellites, debuted at number one and further solidified their growing reputation as one of the leading American alternative rock bands in the world. A follow up to their early success; Counting Crows went on to release This Desert Life (1999), Hard Candy (2002), Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings (2008), Underwater Sunshine (Or What We Did on Our Summer Vacation) (2012), Echoes of the Outlaw Roadshow (2013),and Somewhere Under Wonderland (2014.)  In 2004, Counting Crows recorded the chart-topping “Accidently in Love” for the animated motion picture Shrek 2.

In September 2014, Counting Crows released their critically acclaimed seventh studio album, Somewhere Under Wonderland, which debuted at No. 10 on the charts and was heralded by The Daily Telegraph as “… the best collection of songs since their debut.” The album consisted of nine sprawling tracks around rich sonic tapestries, which yielded some of the most grandiose yet intimate songs Counting Crows had recorded to date. 2018 marked 25 years since the band's inception and sent Adam Duritz, Jim Bogios, David Bryson, Charlie Gillingham, David Immergluck, Millard Powers, and Dan Vickrey back on the road for the “25 YEARS AND COUNTING” tour. In 2021, Counting Crows ranked #8 on Billboards’ “Greatest of All Time: Adult Alternative Artists” 25th anniversary chart.

After seven years, Adam Duritz and Counting Crows released Butter Miracle: Suite One in May 2021 to rave reviews. The band also kicked off their first tour since 2018 “The Butter Miracle Tour” in 2021, with sell-out performances across North America and Europe. “The Butter Miracle Tour,” will continue in the Spring of 2023 with dates set in Australia and New Zealand.

ABOUT DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL:

As punk rock proliferated radio airwaves, Dashboard Confessional cemented their role at the vanguard of an entire music scene.  Facing familiar aches with tenderness and precision, singer / songwriter Chris Carrabba rocketed the band into mainstream focus, solidifying their place as one of the biggest alternative bands of the 2000s.  All The Truth That I Can Tell , the band’s ninth studio album, is both a remarkable renewal and fortunate step forward. Carrabba found himself at a distinct crossroads as the last decade came to an end. Running on fumes, unsure if he’d ever release another album, he waited. The songs eventually came, and though the project might’ve easily come to a screeching halt following a near-fatal motorcycle accident in the summer of 2020, the album stands among Carrabba’s finest — a strikingly potent musical look at himself through a rediscovered keyhole, both an achievement of vision and a vital burst of artistic clarity; less like reading someone’s diary and more like reading their eyes.
