Thailand Visa in Dubai

Do You Require a Thailand Visa from Dubai?

First and foremost, you need to find out if you need a Thailand visa prior to visiting the country. This depends on your citizenship even if you are residing in Dubai. If you are a UAE citizen, then you need not apply for a Thailand visa prior to your Thailand holiday as UAE citizens can stay for 30 days in Thailand without a visa under its Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme. If you are a citizen of any other country and residing in Dubai, then you will have to check whether you are listed under the visa exemption country list. If not, then you will have to apply for a Thailand visa before your travel departure to Thailand. The Thailand tourist visa has a validity of 3 months for a single entry visa and 6 months for multiple entry visa, but the duration of stay in Thailand should not exceed more than 60 days.

Thailand Tourist Visa Requirements from Dubai

1. Passport

A valid passport is the most important document you need for any foreign travel. Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in Thailand. Also, ensure your passport has enough blank pages for visa stamping. If not, visit your country’s passport office and get your passport renewed for additional pages. Handwritten and damaged passports will not be accepted during the visa application. Carry adequate photocopies of your passport just in case there is a loss or damage.

One important task you need to do is to contact your airline and find out if your flight is a connecting flight, and requires you to stop in another country. If it is so, then you may also need to apply for a transit visa for your stopover destination. You would also need to check the transit visa process of that particular country.

2. Visa Application Form

The visa application form can be found online or you can get in touch with a Thailand visa expert at tour agencies to get help regarding the application form and its processing. Fill out the form in full, accurately. You need to submit a typed and printed application; handwritten forms will not be accepted. Also, attach the required documents along with the application. For safety, keep photocopies of the form and documents with you. If you are applying online, attach the proper scanned documents with your application. The visa application form should be clearly filled with incomplete information and duly signed before submitting for visa processing. Taking the guidance of a visa specialist regarding Thailand visa requirements and documentation can make this process simple and hassle-free for you

3. Photographs

You will need 2 photographs of 2” x 2” size specifications for your Thailand tourist visa application. Many people keep using old photos but for the visa application, it is necessary to provide a recent photograph. The photo must show your face clearly and should have a white background.

4. Round-trip Air Tickets and Proof of Travel Plans

As proof of your guaranteed return back to your country, you need to show copies of your air tickets including a copy of the confirmed return ticket and a copy of the confirmed hotel reservation that would indicate your duration of stay and date of exit from Thailand. This will help you obtain your visa without any hassle. Though many people wait for their visa before buying the ticket, it is better if you buy them well in advance, if you are confident about getting a visa. However, make sure the tickets you buy are fully refundable, so you don’t incur a loss if your visa application gets rejected.

5. Additional Documents

You will need to provide a copy of your UAE Residence Visa which should have a minimum of 6 months’ validity.  Your application should be attached with these additional documents:

  • Original Guarantee or No objection letter on Company’s letterhead and Official Fresh Stamp.
  • If you are staying with family or friends in Thailand, the invitation letter from the host/owner of the accommodation mentioning a full address of accommodation with telephone number and time period to stay in Thailand will be required to be submitted.

6. Proof of Finances

You need to have an assured amount of money in your bank account that assures your financial sustainability during your stay in Thailand.  Proof of your finance has to be provided during the visa application process.  This includes your bank statements for the past 6 consecutive months. If you are traveling with your family, you need to show 45,000 AED as proof of funds and 25,000 AED at least in your bank account if you are traveling single.

Visa Fees: A Visa Fee of 150 AED for Single entry visa and 700 AED for Multiple entry visa will be charged. This fee is non-refundable even if your visa gets rejected.

If you follow these mentioned guidelines on how to apply for a Thailand visa and qualify all the required criteria, you will surely get a visa for Thailand. If you do not have any discrepancies and are legally and morally of a good character, you would not face any issues in procuring a Thailand visa. Also, do note that all your documents and application forms should be in the English language.

A Thailand tourist visa application process in Dubai for all nationalities except Iraq and Afghanistan takes about 1 or 2 working days. When you are applying, please check the dates and apply accordingly to avoid any unnecessary delays as the visas are processed only on working days and exclude Thai, UAE and public holidays.  By meticulously following these steps, you have one less thing to worry about your Thai holiday and are one step closer to your dream vacation.

How to Apply for Thailand Tourist Visa from Dubai

Here is a step-by-step guide to applying for a Thailand visa for residents of Dubai.

  • The first step is to schedule an appointment with the Thai Consulate in Dubai. This has to be done online. You can visit their official website and choose a day or time frame that suits you. The date should be at least 10 days before the day of your departure.
  • You have to choose the type of visa (tourist visa, in this case) and provide details like full name, nationality, passport number, and expiry date, residential visa no., the expiry date of the residential visa, phone number and email address.
  • Once you complete this, you would receive an email with a verification code which you have to enter on the website.
  • After this is done, you would be able to download the Thailand visa application form. Along with this, the details of your appointment would also be confirmed. You would have to print this receipt and carry it with you at the time of the appointment.
  • The next step is to actually fill the application form. You need to note that your Thai visa application form has to be type-written. Once you fill the form correctly, take a printout that you have to carry with you for the appointment. Make sure you have all the required documents.
  • On the day of the appointment, arrive at the Thai Consulate in Dubai well before time. You would have to wait in the queue for your turn. Once you present your application form and other documents, the officer might ask you a few questions.
  • The next step is to pay the visa fee. A Visa Fee of 150 AED for a Single entry visa and 700 AED for a Multiple entry visa will be charged. This fee is non-refundable even if your visa gets rejected. Make sure to carry exact change. You would get a receipt after making the payment, which you would have to produce later when you get back your passport.
  • The processing time for a Thailand visa is 24 hours or 1 day, excluding weekends and public holidays in Thailand and Dubai.

Once you are notified about your visa status, you would have to return back to the consulate to collect your passport.

Reasons Why Thailand Visa Application Get Rejected

There is always a chance of rejection when you apply for a visa to go to a foreign country. Here are some of the common reasons why the Thailand visa application gets rejected.

  • Your visa application would be rejected if your passport does not have six months validity. Moreover, there should be at least two blank pages in your passport.
  • Financial stability is extremely important while applying for a Thailand tourist visa. Your bank account should have at least USD 700 (each individual) or USD 1400 (each family). If this requirement is not meant, your application is likely to be rejected.
  • The Consulate would check your previous travel history to Thailand. If you had overstayed or violated any of the conditions during your previous history, you would not receive a visa this time.
  • Applying for the wrong visa type would also lead to the rejection of the application. Each visa type requires different documents, so if you want a business visa and have applied for a tourist visa, the chances of rejection are higher.
  • It is extremely important to fill your application form completely and correctly. Any mistake or any blank space can lead to rejection.
  • All your documents mentioned should be submitted along with the application form. Otherwise, a rejection of the application form is likely.

Step-2 Gather all required documents

Once you’ve chosen  which sort of visa you want, you’ll need to gather all of the  necessary paperwork for your application. Your  passport, passport-sized pictures, airline itinerary, hotel bookings, bank  statements, and proof of travel insurance may all be  included. Before submitting  your application, thoroughly study the criteria for  your individual visa type and  confirm that all papers are complete and  accurate. A Complete Tutorial About Thailand Tourist Visa From Dubai

Thailand has always remained in the top position when it comes to famous tourist attractions in the world. Have you ever wondered why it is so? Well, people love to travel to this exotic destination mainly because of the mouthwatering cuisines, pristine beaches, colourful history, magnificent temples, cultural and archaeological sites and scenic beauty. UAE residents love to explore this place and come on a yearly basis to spend their vacations. With the easing of the covid restrictions, getting a Thailand tourist visa from Dubai has become much more manageable. We will explain in detail all the rules and regulations about the Thailand visa in the coming sessions. But before that, let me explain the necessity of coming to Thailand at least once in your lifetime. Here are the top five reasons why travellers can’t keep themselves away from this beautiful land.

Pristine beaches

Thailand has several beautiful islands from which you can choose your ideal one. It is a perfect destination for all those looking for a sunbath and to experience its culture on the ground level. It has several beach towns like Koh Samui, Koh Pha Ngan, Phuket, Krabi and Phi Phi island. You can either stay in one of them or go hopping from one place to another. They have some of the best beaches in the world.

People and Culture

Do you know why Thailand is called the land of smiles? It is because of the hospitality of its natives. Thai people are extremely warm and gentle towards their guests and always receive them with smiles. Their smiling faces will make you come back here again and again.

Thai people always have freshly prepared dishes, leaving a strong aroma in the surrounding. You can taste their spiciest and tangiest foods from the roadside stalls. It is impressive to see how the vendors make the hot spicy dishes right in front of you, and that too within a few minutes. It is always better to roam around these streets with an expert guide to taste some good quality authentic Thai cuisines. The high-end restaurants also serve traditional Thai dishes. If you have the budget to afford them, you can indeed try out a few of them.

The Temples and The Buddhas

Thailand is rich in Buddha statues, and that too in different sizes and shapes. You will find them standing, sleeping, and even meditating in almost every part of the country, and they are usually made of stones, emeralds and metals. There are more than 40,000 Buddhist temples in Thailand, and they are all different from one another in some way or the other. On your visit to this country, you can explore them as well as the ones in the neighbouring countries.

When it comes to wildlife, Thailand offers a plethora to explore from. Here you can watch the elephants bathing in the Elephant Hills, the gibbons in the Khao Sok National Park, and go whale watching in Koh Tao. There are a lot more wildlife adventures laid out for you in Thailand.

Latest updates on Thailand

If there is any change in the nature of the pandemic, the authorities take all precautionary measures and may even lock down the country. However, since the covid cases in the past year have come down to a great extent, there has been a slight relaxation in the preventive measures in Thailand.

Thailand has now waived its pre-departure RT-PCR testing for vaccinated international tourists during arrival. They no longer have to register for the Thailand pass and carry health insurance. International travellers only have to take a vaccination certificate, a negative RT-PCR certificate, or a professional antigen test kit result. Also, it is mandatory for every tourist above 18 years to be fully vaccinated with an approved covid-19 vaccine within at least 14 days before travelling to Thailand. If they travel alone, children between 5 to 17 years must have at least one dose of covid-19 vaccine within 14 days of travelling to Thailand. Those who are travelling with their parents do not have to follow this rule.

After 3 rejections of B1/B2 visa application, at last I was approved of Multiple Entry for US Visa B1/B2 with the help of Ms. Kate from Green Apple, I had been trying since year 2014 but got rejected, my 3rd rejection was from another agency but all they did were promises. I searched for an agency that could assist me with SINCERITY and COMMITMENT and then I came across Green Apple with pretty good reviews, I called Ms Kate for consultation and then everything went smooth from filling up the forms, issuing the necessary documents till scheduling the appointment. What I admire most about Ms Kate is she is so Calm, making sure that no question is left unanswered on your mind before the interview. I am proud to say Ms. Kate from Green Apple has helped me a lot in getting my visa with Multiple Entry. Thank You very much and I would strongly recommend this agency for visa assistance.

Thailand Visa from Dubai

Thailand Visa from Dubai

The Thai exemption scheme was introduced for certain nationalities, including Emiratis. So, nationals from UAE can enter Thailand visa-free for a period no longer than 30 days if they travel for sightseeing, relaxation, leisure, visiting friends, etc.

To cross the border without a visa, you must have a passport that won’t expire within 6 months, return tickets, and proof of financial resources (at least 10,000 Baht per person or 20,000 Baht for family).

In case of a longer stay in Thailand or a different travel purpose, a visa is a necessary document. Citizens from Dubai can obtain a Thailand tourist visa , a special tourist visa, a Thai elite visa, or non-immigrant permits (such as business, family, student, or retirement visas).

Besides, most of the restrictions related to COVID-19 were lifted. Wearing a mask or undergoing a quarantine is not required, but you still need vaccination or testing proof. Note that it is advisable to check all the information before the trip, as conditions may change.

Thailand eVisa

Some nationalities who are not on the visa-free list may apply for an eVisa to Thailand and apply online. The process is very easy and convenient. Only three steps of visa application are necessary—completing the form, covering the fee, and waiting for the processing. If you come from the following country, you can apply for a Thai electronic visa:

  • Papua New Guinea
  • Republic of Cyprus
  • Saudi Arabia

Do citizens of Dubai need a Thailand visa?

Nationals from Dubai don’t need a visa to Thailand if they intend to stay in the country for up to 30 days, with the possibility of an extension, for tourism-related purposes. However, longer stay or different travel reasons (business, work, studies, etc.) require obtaining a Thailand visa.

Thailand COVID-19 restrictions

As for now, most COVID-19 restrictions in Thailand have been lifted. There is no need to show insurance proof, get hotel quarantine, Thailand pass, or wear a mask anymore. However, unvaccinated travelers must complete the tests (RT-PCR or Professional Antigen Test) 72 hours before their visit to Thailand. Note that Thai Immigration and airlines will do random checks.

Thailand visa application from Dubai

There are two types of Thailand tourist visa: a single-entry permit valid for 3 months and a multiple-entry visa with a validity period of 6 months. To take part in a Thailand visa application, UAE citizens should:

  • Complete the application form and provide the required information (name, surname, date of birth, nationality, etc.).
  • Collect the necessary documents, such as a valid passport.
  • Contact the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate and make an appointment.
  • Bring the form and documents to the interview.
  • Wait for the approval and receive the visa.

Don’t forget to submit your visa application earlier to avoid delays and other inconveniences.

What requirements must be met to get a Thai tourist visa?

If you want to visit Thailand for more than 30 days or not for tourism, you must apply for a Thailand tourist visa as a UAE citizen. To do so, prepare:

  • a completed application form
  • two recent face photos on the white background
  • a valid passport for at least 6 months and a copy of it
  • a copy of the residence visa (if you are a resident)
  • No Objection Certificate or Original Guarantee (sponsored by the company, spouse, parents, or consulate in case of self-sponsoring)
  • copies of tickets
  • copy of the hotel confirmation letter
  • a valid health insurance proof
  • a copy of the COVID-19 vaccination certificate
  • a bank statement
  • funds for a visa fee (400 AED for a single-entry permit and 1,000 AED for a multiple-entry visa).

Some additional documents may be necessary. Visit the Thai embassy or consulate to learn more.

Transit information

You don’t need to apply for a transit visa in case you stay in Thailand for less than 12 hours while waiting for the connecting flights, you won’t leave the transit zone, have the required documents for the final destination, and the flight is booked on the same ticket.

What entry documents do I need to prepare to visit Thailand?

Before the trip, prepare the following documents:

  • an insurance certificate
  • a COVID-19 vaccination certificate or test results
  • a valid passport
  • a tourist visa (if necessary).

You can speed up the procedures thanks to the preparations. Show the officers digital or printed copies of the documents, and everything will go smoothly.

Thailand visa types

There are several types of Thailand visa:

  • Tourist Thailand Visa , or TR visa, can be used for visiting friends/relatives, relaxation, sightseeing, leisure, etc. It comes in two types: a single or multiple-entry permit.
  • Business Thailand Visa, officially called a non-immigrant visa-B, is designed for conducting business, taking part in conferences/meetings, or investing.
  • Education Thailand Visa , perfect for travel purposes related to education (studies, courses, lessons, internships, etc.).
  • Marriage Thailand Visa, a person married to a Thai citizen can apply for this visa.
  • Thai Retirement Visa, designed for travelers older than 50 years old.
  • Thai Transit Visa that can be used for transit purposes.
  • Permanent Resident Visa is a special visa type that enables one to live and work in the country.
  • Diplomatic Visa can be used by diplomatic or official passport holders who need to conduct a mission in Thailand.
  • Smart Visa for highly skilled individuals.

Single Entry Tourist Visa for Thailand

Legal Advisor

Thailand has always been a popular holiday destination. Tourists return year after year to enjoy the rich culture, exquisite food, long warm beaches, and natural getaways in the mountains. Holidaymakers can enjoy short-term getaways of up to 60 days with a Single Entry Tourist Visa. The visa is easy to obtain and this article will provide all the information you need to simplify the process.

There are many ways for foreigners to visit Thailand. If they want to visit for up to 30 days, certain nationalities can enter the country under the bilateral-agreement Visa Exemption scheme. This scheme is open to 64 nationalities from around the world. If someone is not eligible for visa exemption, they may apply for a 15-day Visa on Arrival.

If you are entering Thailand for tourism, leisure, or medical purposes, are not intending to visit other Asian countries, and know that 30 days will not be long enough, then you can apply for a 60-day Single Entry Tourist Visa.

What is a Single Entry Tourist Visa?

A Single Entry Tourist Visa allows foreign nationals one entry into Thailand for tourism, leisure, or medical reasons. It is perfect for those who are looking to relax or maybe complete a scuba diving or Muay Thai training course. People can enter either by air, land, or sea.

The visa has a 3-month validity from the time of approval. This means that people have 3 months to use and enter Thailand from the date their visa is approved. People often confuse validity and the time they can spend in Thailand. Validity is how long you have to use or utilize the visa. When arriving in Thailand, a permit to stay stamp will be placed in your passport for 60 days, so a visitor can arrive on the last day of their valid time frame and still receive the full 60 days permit to stay.

How to apply for a Single Entry Tourist Visa

Many nationalities can now apply for their Thailand Tourist Visa online at https://thaievisa.go.th/home . When applying for a visa online, applicants need to create an account and apply as individuals. Once the account is created, individuals will need the following documents:

  • A current passport with no less than 6 months validity and at least 2 blank pages. Applicants must fill in online visa applications with their given name(s) and surname as it appears on their passports.
  • Printout of visa application form submitted online, with barcode
  • Travel booking confirmation
  • Proof of accommodation in Thailand, e.g. hotel booking, invitation letter from family or friend in Thailand
  • Financial evidence, e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings, sponsorship letter
  • Confirmation of legal residence in the country where you apply for the visa (if applicants are not nationals of these countries) e.g. long stay visa, residence permit, BRP card

E-Visa applicants do not need to submit their passport and original supporting documents in person at a Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate. After the e-Visa application has been approved, a confirmation email is sent to applicants. It is best practice to print a copy of the confirmation email to present to airlines and Thai Immigration officials when traveling to Thailand.

There are certain countries not eligible to apply for an E-Visa, as additional documents are needed for approval.

If you are unsure if eligible for an online visa or do not have access to the online application process, you can contact your local Thai Embassy and organize an appointment. Many embassies will not allow walk-ins, and immigration requirements may change without notice, so it is best to contact them beforehand and confirm what documents you need to provide.

Minimum documents needed:

  • Passport with 6 months validity and at least 2 empty pages.
  • Completed and signed visa application form
  • Proof of travel booking
  • Proof of Accommodation
  • Financial evidence – Bank statement or proof of earnings (equivalent to 10,000 Thai Baht for individuals or 20,000 Thai Baht for families.)
  • Letter of acceptance from institutes or companies organizing activities (if traveling for the purpose of scuba diving, martial arts, or culinary learning)

All documents in a foreign language must be translated into English or Thai and certified before they will be approved.

The cost of a single-entry tourist visa can vary from country to country, but an estimated cost is $30 – $50 USD. It is important to note that many embassies will only accept payment in $USD. Confirm cost and currency with your local Embassy or Consulate when making an initial query.

If you are applying online, the E-Visa system will confirm the payment due and process the payment through their secure payment portal.

Assistance with Visa Applications

The process for applying is straightforward and can be done yourself. If you would like to confirm documents are correct or wish to receive approval without going back and forth to embassy appointments, you can enlist the services of a visa assistance agent . These agents are aware of all current immigration requirements and can confirm the correct details before lodging your application. They will liaise with embassies and consulates on your behalf.

Agents charge a fee for their service but will often save you time and money in the long run. They can streamline your application process and speed up your approval. Agents can assist with online applications, though you may be required to pay the visa fee directly through e-Visa’s secure payment portal.

Tourist Visa Restrictions

As noted above, Single Entry Tourist Visas are for tourism, leisure, or medical purposes only. Foreigners cannot earn income, study long-term, or conduct volunteer activities while in Thailand if they have entered with a tourist visa.

If you intend to take part in any of the above activities, there are long-term visa options available. You can contact your local Thai embassy to discuss options, or seek assistance from a Visa Agent to apply for a long-term visa.

Arriving in Thailand

When you arrive in Thailand, you will need to provide the following documents at Passport Control:

  • Passport with approved visa attached (if you applied at an Embassy)
  • Confirmation letter of visa approval (if you applied online)
  • Confirmed exit flight from the country
  • Confirmed accommodation (at least for the first night in the country)
  • Financial statement or bank statement showing funds available (10,000 or 20,000 Thai Baht equivalent)

A good practice is to print copies of these documents. Entry approval is at the discretion of immigration officers and presenting hard copies of these documents will speed your processing through Passport Control and help ease congestion at the airport.

Extending your Tourist Visa

For some people, 60 days is never enough. If you enjoy your time in Thailand, it is possible to extend your stay. Visitors with a Single Entry Tourist visa can extend their time in the country by 30 days by visiting a local Thai Immigration Office. An extension of stay will cost 1900 Thai Baht and must be paid in cash (Thai Baht) when applying for the extension.

You will need to visit the office before your tourist visa expires. Staying in the country past your exit date will cause an “overstay” and you will be fined 500 baht per day after your official exit date. An overstay is noted in your passport and can affect future visa applications. This extension of stay is only available once within the country.

Thai Immigration offices are not open on weekends.

Certificate Attestation FAQ's

Certificate attestation involves the verification and authentication of your documents to ensure their legitimacy in the eyes of UAE authorities. Steps in the Certificate Attestation Process:

  • Notarization: A local notary in your country first verifies and stamps your document.
  • Foreign Ministry Authentication: To add another level of verification, your country's foreign ministry authenticates it.
  • UAE Embassy Attestation: The UAE embassy or consulate in your country then checks and stamps the document.
  • MOFA Dubai Attestation: Finally, in the UAE, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dubai gives the ultimate approval. Each step ensures that your documents, like degree certificates or business papers, are legitimate and ready for use in the UAE

In the UAE, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAIC) conducts MOFA attestation, which is a crucial process for attesting documents like diplomas and business documents. This involves:

  • Verification: Initial verification in the document's country of origin and attestation by the UAE embassy
  • Final Attestation: MOFAIC in Dubai provides the final legal recognition.
  • Process and Requirements: includes online and offline services, submission of original documents, and certain fees. Essential for expatriates, this process ensures documents are genuine and valid for any purpose in the UAE.

When you need to use foreign documents in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), it's important to know that the UAE doesn't follow the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention. This means the usual "apostille" process doesn't apply here. Instead, the UAE has its own method, “Apostille Attestation,” to make sure your documents are accepted.

  • Verification by the issuing authority: Start by having the organization that issued your document, such as a degree certificate, verify it in its country of origin.
  • Authentication by the Foreign Ministry: The foreign ministry in the country from which the document originated should then authenticate it.
  • UAE Embassy Attestation: Then, take the document to the UAE Embassy or Consulate in the country of issue for their stamp of approval.
  • Final Attestation by MoFAIC in the UAE: Lastly, when you’re in the UAE, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) needs to give the final okay.

Getting a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) in Dubai is a simple process:

  • Application: Apply online through the Dubai Police website or their official app. Alternatively, visit a Dubai Police station or Customer Happiness Center.
  • Documents Needed: Emirates ID (for residents), passport copy, recent passport-size photo, and fingerprint attested by the UAE Embassy (for non-residents).
  • Fees: Pay the application fee, which can be done online or at the police station.
  • Processing Time: Usually, it takes a few days to receive the certificate.
  • Language Options: The PCC is available in Arabic or English.
  • Non-residents: Non-residents need to submit fingerprints attested by the UAE embassy in their country.
  • Uses: The PCC is often required for jobs, immigration, or study purposes.
  • Validity: Check the current validity period at the time of application, typically around three months. This certificate confirms your criminal record status in Dubai for various legal and administrative purposes.

The process of degree attestation for a UAE employment visa involves several steps to ensure your educational qualifications are officially recognized in the UAE. This attestation is necessary for the visa application process, especially if your job requires a certain educational qualification.

  • Notarization: First, have your degree notarized in the country where it was issued.
  • University Verification: Get your degree verified by the issuing university or college.
  • Home Country's Foreign Affairs Ministry: Request the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in your home country to certify the degree.
  • UAE Embassy Attestation: Next, take your degree to the UAE embassy in your country for attestation.
  • MOFA Attestation in the UAE: Finally, in the UAE, get the degree attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Remember to carry your original degree certificate and passport copy. Each step may involve a fee, and the total time can vary. This attestation process is essential to validating your degree for your UAE employment visa.

Certificate Attestation in Dubai: Why It’s Essential

Certificate attestation is a vital procedure aimed at validating the authenticity of documents, ensuring they are legitimate and issued by the relevant authorities. In Dubai, certificate attestation holds immense significance for a variety of purposes, including immigration, education, employment, business, and legal matters. Below, we outline the key reasons why certificate attestation is indispensable in Dubai:

  • UAE Residence Visa Requirement : If you plan to immigrate to Dubai or other UAE Emirates, obtaining a residence visa is a necessity. The immigration authorities demand certificate attestation to confirm the legitimacy of your personal documents, such as birth and marriage certificates. This verification ensures that you meet the eligibility criteria for the visa.
  • Employment Opportunities : Securing a job in Dubai or the neighbouring Emirates mandates certificate attestation. Employers rely on this process to authenticate their employees’ educational, professional, or personal documents, ensuring they possess the qualifications and skills essential for the job.
  • Educational Pursuits : Enrolling in schools, colleges, or pursuing higher education in Dubai calls for certificate attestation. Educational institutions use this process to verify the authenticity of your academic certificates, ensuring you meet the admission requirements and possess the necessary qualifications.
  • Business Setup in Dubai : Launching a business or opening a bank account in Dubai necessitates certificate attestation. Authorities need to validate your business registration, financial records, and legal documents to ensure compliance with local regulations and laws.
  • Legal Procedures : In legal matters, like court cases or property transactions, certificate attestation is compulsory in Dubai. Courts and legal authorities require this to verify the legitimacy of your legal and personal documents, ensuring their validity and legal standing.

Certificate attestation plays a pivotal role in the document verification process. To avoid application delays or rejections, it’s highly recommended to seek the assistance of a professional attestation agency in Dubai, such as Benchmark Attestation Services. Thailand expands visa-free access for tourists from China and Kazakhstan

Passport holders from both countries will be able to enter and stay in thailand for up to 30 days without visas..

Photo of TAT Newsroom

Bangkok, 1 March 2024 – The Royal Thai Government has extended visa-free access for tourists from China and Kazakhstan, effective from today onwards.

Thailand-China mutual visa exemption

Thailand and China signed an agreement for a mutual visa entry for citizens of both countries on 28 January 2024, which officially comes into effect today.

The agreement exempts holders of valid Thai ordinary passports and valid Chinese passports for public affairs and ordinary passports from visa requirement for entering, exiting, or transiting the other country’s territory for a 30-day stay. Cumulative stays must not exceed 90 days in any 180-day period.

This is except for those with the purposes of residing or engaging in employment, study, media activities or other activities that require prior approval from competent authorities of the other country.

Thailand previously granted temporary visa exemption for Chinese tourists from 25 September 2023 to 29 February 2024.

China is one of Thailand’s largest markets. In 2023, the number of Chinese arrivals in Thailand reached 3.5 million, making it the second largest market after Malaysia and before South Korea, India, and Russia. From 1 January to 26 February 2024, Thailand welcomed 1.12 million Chinese arrivals.

Extended visa exemption for Kazakhstani tourists

The previous temporary visa exemption scheme for Kazakhstani tourists, which started on 25 September 2023, ended on 29 February 2024.

Given the significant increase in the number of Kazakhstani tourists to Thailand, the Thai cabinet has approved an extension of the temporary visa exemption for visitors from Kazakhstan until 31 August 2024.

They will be granted a temporary visa exemption for a 30-day stay on tourism purpose.

Kazakhstan is one of Thailand’s fastest growing markets and is the second largest market in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), after Russia.

In 2023, Thailand recorded 172,489 visitors from Kazakhstan, representing a 190% growth over 2022. From 1 January to 26 February 2024, the number increased 11% over the same period in 2023 to 55,566 arrivals.
