Certain websites show a "Sign in with Google" prompt to help you quickly sign in to that website. If you're sick of this prompt, there's a way to disable it from your Google account's settings menu. Here's how.

The "Sign in with Google" prompt is tied to your Google account and not to a particular web browser. This means that you'll need to disable the prompt in your account to prevent it from appearing across all your web browsers, including both desktop and mobile browsers.

To start the removal process, launch Google's My Account site in a web browser on your Windows, Mac, or Linux computer. Then, log in to your Google account if you haven't already done so.

When the site loads, select "Security" in the sidebar on the left.

Select

On the "Security" page, scroll down to the "Your Connections to Third-Party Apps & Services" section. Here, click the "See All Connections" option.

Click

On the next page, click the gear icon in the far upper corner.

Click the gear icon beside

Under the "Sign in with Google" section, turn off the "Google Account Sign-In Prompts" toggle.

Click the

If you're logged in to multiple Google accounts in your web browser, repeat the above process for each account to get rid of the "Sign in with Google" prompt.

And that's all. You won't see the "Sign in with Google" prompt on any website from now on!

Like Google, Reddit shows a "See Reddit in" pop-up when you visit the site using a mobile browser. Luckily, there's a way to disable this prompt , too. Happy browsing!

How can I block the “Sign in with Google” prompt on websites? [duplicate]

On many websites that require login, those annoying Google login prompts appear:

"Sign in to unlock deals and discounts!" popup

There are several tutorials on the Internet on how to avoid this, for example, this one on How-To Geek , which suggest disabling an option in the Google account. However, this doesn't work, since mine is not enabled and never was:

"Allow Google to offer a faster way to sign in with your Google Account on supported third-party sites" (in German)

Note, that this only happens with Firefox (110.0.1 (64-bit), AdBlocker ultimate v 3.7.21 installed); if I use the Brave browser (version 1.49.120 Chromium: 111.0.5563.64 (Official Build) (64-bit)), which is known to block ads by default, they are not displayed. I'm on Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish) with Linux kernel 5.19.0-35-generic x86_64.

  • 10 Note that the "disabling an option in the Google account" is not a possibility if you use firstparty-isolate or any other privacy features that prevent embeds like this from seeing your Google session cookie. This is another motivation to want a way to block it browser-side. –  R.. GitHub STOP HELPING ICE Mar 11, 2023 at 21:18

  • What kernel version? They recently forced-updated (within the last few weeks or months) 22.04 to HWE (it broke a USB 2 workaround for a particular motherboard I was relying on). Use sudo apt install --install-recommends linux-generic to install the latest LTS kernel and use (e.g.) GRUB_DEFAULT="1>4" in file /etc/default/grub to change the default GRUB menu item to the LTS kernel one –  Peter Mortensen Mar 13, 2023 at 17:40

How to Stop Google Sign-In Pop-Ups on All Websites

While trying to help you, Google's sign-in pop-up prompts can get rather annoying... and they're everywhere. Here's how to stop them showing up.

You'll have seen Google's sign-in prompt pop-up at some stage, prompting you to quickly sign in to websites that use Google’s sign-in service. But not everyone wants to sign in with Google, especially if you don’t have an account with Google.

It can be irritating when the sign-in pops up in the corner of your screen, and they aren’t sure how to get rid of it. You can easily click off it, but that doesn’t mean it won’t pop up later. What can you do about this? Well, this guide will explain and show you how.

Why Does Google's Prompt Automatically Appear?

You may notice the sign-in prompt appear when you enter a website, even if you don’t have an account for that site. Maybe you want to sign in to that site, just not with Google, or you don’t want to register, yet the pop-up still appears.

While it can be a convenient way to log in with Google, you won’t encounter the prompt on every website, but it can be irritating on the sites that do have it. Some users may not want to share their Google data with that website and instead use a different account.

How You Can Stop Google Sign-In Prompts Popping Up

There are a few different ways you can stop these sign-in prompts from popping up.

1. Change Your Google Account Settings

First, open up Google Chrome, go to your Google Account page, and log in if you haven't already. If you have multiple accounts on one device, use your default Google account , though you can do this with any Google account.

A screenshot of the Google Account Security section

Click Security from the left-hand tab, scroll down to Your connections to third-party apps and services section, and click See all connections . Alternatively, you can press Ctrl + F to find it quicker.

Click on the gear icon on the top-right of the Third-party apps and services section. You will see a toggle in the Sign in with Google settings section. Click the toggle, and the sign-in prompt will no longer appear on third-party sites.

Initially, you could stop pop-up prompts from the Signing in to other sites section before being moved.

2. Change Google Chrome Settings

Alternatively, you can control pop-ups and redirects within your Chrome settings. For this approach, click on the Ellipsis menu (three vertical dots) in the top-right corner, and click on Settings from the dropdown menu.

A screenshot of the Chrome Privacy and Security Settings page

From the left-hand tab, click on Privacy and security and then click on Site settings . Here, scroll down until you find the Pop-ups and redirects section.

A screenshot of the Chrome Pop-Ups and Redirects Settings page

You can allow sites to send you pop-ups and use redirects or not with the radio buttons. Additionally, you can customize the behaviors to allow websites you want pop-ups to appear and use redirects by clicking the Add button and the website link.

Will This Affect Your Google Account?

With the prompt gone, you may question if it will affect your Google account. Stopping the prompt won't affect you when you try to log into a website or app with your Google account.

While a similar process, this is different from turning off Chrome notifications , which can also be tiresome when they appear on your screen.

Give Yourself a Google Pop-Up Free Experience

An issue for users is constant pop-ups asking them to sign in, even if they don’t have an account with that website. Having the sign-in prompt appear when you don’t want it to can be irritating.

But with a simple toggle in your Google account settings, you can say goodbye to those pop-ups. Now, you have more control and a browsing experience with fewer pop-ups. And this can be easily reversed if you ever change your mind.

Google won’t let you turn off its annoying sign-in pop-ups – here’s what to do

safari asking for google sign in

If you buy through a BGR link, we may earn an affiliate commission, helping support our expert product labs.

Many apps and websites let you sign in with your Google account instead of creating a new account for that service. It’s a handy feature to take advantage of, as it can reduce the number of accounts and passwords you must keep track of and secure. But it’s also not something everyone wants to do. Yet Google keeps throwing pop-ups at you to sign into websites using your Google account.

How stopping Signing in with Google used to work

I’ve disabled the Signing in with Google option on my Google accounts from the Settings menu of those accounts.

However, there’s a problem. See the toggle below? That entire section disappeared from the Security tab, something I wouldn’t have noticed without a reader pointing it out.

This setting will let you stop Google sign-in pop-ups on sites.

  • Head to your  Google account  page.
  • Look for the  Security  tab and then scroll down to the  Signing in to other sites  section.
  • Tap on the  Signing in with Google option, where you can manage the functionality.
  • Turn off the Google Account sign-in prompts .

It looks like Google removed it on purpose. And you can’t find the setting anywhere else.

It’s not great that the support page doesn’t tell you how to prevent the annoying pop-ups from reoccurring. It only explains how to remove sign-in with Google from websites/apps where you might be using it already.

Google support page explains how to stop using sign in with Google.

But those instructions do not fix the main issue here, Google’s annoying pop-ups.

Why is Google doing this?

Of the three, I’d always choose Apple. That’s because Google and Facebook track all you do online. Signing into websites and apps with your Google or Facebook account gives them another data point about you.

I’m hardly using Google accounts to sign into websites or apps. I use Apple or create new accounts, whose security I then protect with 1Password and/or Proton Pass . But the pop-ups will still appear.

But there are ways to block Google’s sign-in pop-ups if you haven’t turned off the Signing in with Google feature.

Google Chrome lets you block all website pop-ups.

How to block Google’s pop-ups

As I’ve explained previously, there’s another way to block Google’s annoying pop-ups that doesn’t involve managing your Google Account. You just have to block pop-ups and redirects from your browser on all websites (screenshot above).

  • Go to the browser’s  Settings , look for  Privacy and security , choose  Site settings , and look for the  Pop-ups and redirects  menu. Here, you’ll have an option that lets you block pop-ups from all websites.

The problem here is there might be websites where pop-ups are necessary. And this setting will block all of them. It’ll be up to you to set exceptions or use a different browser to visit specific websites, which might not be worth the hassle.

Thanks for the tip, RL!

Keeping Google signed in on Safari is essential for seamless access to your personalized services, such as Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar. By staying signed in, you can enjoy a more convenient and personalized browsing experience, with quick access to your emails, documents, and other Google services. However, Safari's default settings may sometimes lead to automatic sign-outs, requiring you to sign in repeatedly. This can be frustrating, especially when you rely on Google's suite of tools for work, communication, and organization.

In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to ensure that you remain signed in to Google on Safari, allowing you to access your favorite Google services without the hassle of repeated sign-ins. Whether you use Safari on your Mac, iPhone, or iPad, these steps will help you configure the browser to maintain your Google sign-in status, providing a smoother and more efficient browsing experience.

On a Mac, you can find the Safari icon in the dock at the bottom of the screen or in the Applications folder. Simply click on the icon to launch the Safari browser. If you are using an iPhone or iPad, look for the Safari app on your home screen and tap on it to open the browser.

Once Safari is open, you are ready to proceed to the next steps to ensure that you stay signed in to Google while using the browser. Opening Safari is the initial step in the process of configuring the browser settings to maintain your Google sign-in status, setting the stage for a more seamless and personalized browsing experience.

Now that Safari is open, let's proceed to the next step to ensure that you can stay signed in to Google and enjoy a more convenient and personalized browsing experience.

Step 2: Go to Google

After opening Safari, the next step is to navigate to the Google website. This can be done by entering the web address " www.google.com " in the address bar at the top of the Safari browser window. Alternatively, you can simply perform a Google search by typing your query directly into the address bar and hitting "Enter." This will automatically direct you to the Google search results page.

Upon reaching the Google homepage, you will have access to a wide array of Google services, including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, and more. If you have previously signed in to your Google account on Safari, you may see your profile picture or initial displayed in the top right corner of the Google homepage, indicating that you are already signed in.

If you are not signed in, you will see the "Sign in" button in the top right corner of the Google homepage. Click on this button to proceed to the Google sign-in page, where you can enter your Google account credentials, such as your email address and password, to sign in to your account.

It is important to ensure that you are signed in to your Google account before proceeding to the next steps. This will allow Safari to associate your browsing activities with your Google account, enabling personalized features and ensuring that you stay signed in across various Google services.

By navigating to the Google website and signing in to your account, you are taking the necessary steps to establish a connection between Safari and your Google account. This connection is crucial for maintaining your Google sign-in status and accessing personalized features, such as saved preferences, search history, and account settings.

If you have enabled two-step verification for your Google account, you may be prompted to enter a verification code sent to your mobile device or generated by an authenticator app. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the verification process and access your account.

Once you have successfully signed in to your Google account, you will have seamless access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, and other Google services while using Safari. Let's continue to optimize your Safari settings and ensure that you can stay signed in to Google while enjoying a seamless and personalized browsing experience.

Step 4: Enable cookies and JavaScript

Enabling cookies and JavaScript is crucial for maintaining your Google sign-in status and ensuring a seamless browsing experience on Safari. Cookies are small pieces of data that websites store on your device to remember your preferences and login information, while JavaScript is a programming language that enables interactive and dynamic website features. By enabling cookies and JavaScript in Safari, you can ensure that your Google sign-in status is retained, allowing you to access your personalized Google services without interruptions.

To enable cookies and JavaScript in Safari, follow these steps:

Enable Cookies:

  • Click on the "Safari" menu at the top of the screen and select "Preferences."
  • In the Preferences window, click on the "Privacy" tab.

Configuring Safari preferences is essential for maintaining your Google sign-in status and ensuring a seamless browsing experience across various Google services. By adjusting specific settings within Safari, you can optimize the browser to retain your sign-in information, preferences, and personalized features, allowing you to stay signed in to Google without the need for frequent sign-ins.

To stay signed in with Safari preferences and enhance your browsing experience, follow these steps:

Manage Website Data:

  • In the Preferences window, navigate to the "Privacy" tab.
  • Click on the "Manage Website Data" button to view and manage the stored data, including cookies, from websites you have visited.
  • Search for "google.com" in the list of stored website data and ensure that it is not blocked or restricted. This allows Safari to retain your Google sign-in status and preferences.

AutoFill Settings:

  • In the Safari Preferences window, click on the "AutoFill" tab.
  • Ensure that the "User names and passwords" option is checked to enable Safari to remember your Google account credentials and automatically fill them in when signing in to Google services.
  • You can also customize the AutoFill settings to include additional information, such as contact information and credit card details, for a more personalized browsing experience.

  • Navigate to the "Security" tab within Safari Preferences.
  • Review the security settings and ensure that they align with your preferences for secure browsing while maintaining your Google sign-in status.

Outlook and other apps are unable to connect to Outlook.com when using Basic authentication

Last Updated: February 27, 2024

Users signing into Outlook.com through Basic authentication may experience recurring password prompts in Outlook and other third-party email applications. This is a known issue. We have taken actions to protect our customers and mitigate their risk to the increase in bad actors trying to gain access to their accounts.

For many years, applications have used Basic authentication to connect to servers, services, and API endpoints. Basic authentication simply means the application sends a username and password with every request, and those credentials are also often stored or saved on the device. Traditionally, Basic authentication is enabled by default on most servers or services, and is simple to set up. While Basic authentication was the standard at the time, Basic authentication makes it easier for attackers to capture user credentials, which increases the risk of those stolen credentials being reused against other endpoints or services.

Basic authentication is an outdated industry standard. Threats posed by it have only increased with time and we have already deprecated Basic authentication across numerous products. (For more information, see Improving Security - Together. ) There are better and more effective user authentication alternatives.

In the coming months, we will be working to fully remove support for Basic authentication from Outlook.com, and only rely on OAuth (also known as Modern authentication).  While we understand that this experience is frustrating, we are ultimately trying to protect our customers and the safety of their accounts.  OAuth has become the industry standard, and Microsoft and Outlook have long supported it. Many third-party email applications have also adopted OAuth.

Microsoft will communicate timelines and a more detailed plan to retire Basic authentication in Outlook.com in the near future; however, we did want to provide details and guidance about how users can move from Basic authentication to OAuth which should eliminate the increased number of authentication prompts they may be seeing.

Recommended User Actions:

For users having problems connecting to their Outlook.com email, here are the ways they can update their accounts to use OAuth for authentication.

If you use Outlook for Windows:

Outlook supports OAuth in all current Microsoft 365 subscription SKUs and Outlook 2021 LTSC (any SKU with build 11601.10000 or higher) when connecting directly as Outlook.com. If your Outlook is configured to connect to Outlook.com using POP or IMAP, OAuth is not supported. This means that when Basic authentication is fully deprecated, it will no longer connect.  For this scenario, you have a few options:

Option 1: Switch to Outlook.com/Exchange Syncing – Instead of using POP/IMAP and SMTP, create a new Outlook Desktop profile and then add your Outlook.com account using automatic account configuration, which will add the account with OAuth. To do this, please use the following guidance:

Create a new Outlook Desktop profile, Create an Outlook profile.

Add your Outlook.com account, Add an email account to Outlook .

Option 2: Get a newer Outlook email app which supports OAuth – If your Outlook client does not support OAuth, you will need to upgrade to the latest version and then setup using Outlook.com Sync. You can either purchase a new Outlook License, use the Outlook that is included in your Microsoft 365 subscription, or download the New Outlook for Windows for free .

The following versions of Outlook Desktop do not support OAuth for Outlook.com:  Outlook 2007, Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013, Outlook 2016 MSI, Outlook 2019 LTSC. Any release of Outlook Desktop with a version less than 11601.10000 does not support OAuth for Outlook.com.

Outlook apps are available for free and can be downloaded directly from the Microsoft Store on Windows, the Mac App Store , iOS App Store , or the Google Play Store .

After your download the new email app, add your accounts and they will all be configured to use OAuth and sync properly, helping keep them safe.

If you use Mozilla Thunderbird:

Mozilla Thunderbird does support OAuth and it is recommended that you ensure you switch to use those settings. Any account that you add to Thunderbird will now automatically setup using the proper settings.  You have the following options.

Option 1: Update Current Settings

Change Thunderbird's server settings:

Select  ≡  >  Account Settings .

In the left pane, select  Server Settings  for your  O utlook.com  or  H otmail.com  account.

Thunderbird screenshot 1

Change Thunderbird's authentication method for sending messages (SMTP):

In the left pane, select  Outgoing Server (SMTP) .

Thunderbird screenshot 2

Select  OK  to save your changes.

Option 2: Remove Current Account and Re-Add

If you remove your current account from Thunderbird and then re-add it, the proper settings will be detected, and you will just need to sign in to be properly configured with OAuth and the proper server settings.

If you use Apple Mail:

Apple Mail supports OAuth by default when you setup the account as Outlook.com. If you use Apple Mail and you are seeing password prompts or connection errors, this is most likely happening because your account got configured as basic auth. To mitigate the issue, remove the account and add it back as Outlook.com.

Remove your account from Apple Mail :

Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts .

Tap the email account you want to remove from your iPhone, then tap Delete Account. For more information, please go to  Add and remove email accounts on iPhone .

Add your account back to Apple Mail :

Go to Settings > Mail .

Tap Accounts , then tap Add Account .

Apple mail add Outlook.com to iPhone

If removing and re-adding the account does not address the issue, do the following :

Remove the account again.

Go to Settings > Safari , then tap Clear History and Website Data .

Reboot your iPhone.

Add the account back and proceed through the Outlook.com account sign in flow .

If you use another email application:

Always check the add account steps to look for Outlook.com and use it if that option is available. If Outlook.com is not an option, you will want to contact the application's support to confirm that they support OAuth against EAS, POP, IMAP, and SMTP. If they do not, you will be able to continue using Basic Auth until we announce our final deprecation dates. However, you may experience increased login prompts as we work to protect accounts.

As a reminder, all users can download Outlook for free and it works with most email services. Outlook can be downloaded directly from the Microsoft Store on Windows, the Mac App Store , iOS App Store , or the Google Play Store.

Sign in with a passkey instead of a password

Passkeys are a simple and secure alternative to passwords. With a passkey, you can sign in to your Google Account with your fingerprint, face scan, or device screen lock, like a PIN.

Passkeys provide the strongest protection against threats like phishing . Once you create a passkey, you can use it to easily sign in to your Google Account, as well as some third-party apps or services, and to verify it's you when you make sensitive changes .

  • If your account has 2-Step Verification or is enrolled in the Advanced Protection Program, a passkey bypasses your second authentication step, since this verifies that you have possession of your device.
  • Your biometric data, used for fingerprint or face unlock, stays on your device and is never shared with Google.

Check what you need to create a passkey

You can create passkeys on these devices:

  • A laptop or desktop that runs at least Windows 10, macOS Ventura, or ChromeOS 109
  • A mobile device that runs at least iOS 16 or Android 9
  • A hardware security key that supports the FIDO2 protocol

Your computer or mobile device also needs a supported browser like:

  • Chrome 109 or up
  • Safari 16 or up
  • Edge 109 or up

To create and use a passkey, you must enable the following:

  • Screen lock
  • This applies if you want to use a passkey on a phone to sign in to another computer.
  • When you set up a passkey on your Apple device, it prompts you to enable your iCloud Keychain if not set up already. For more info on how to set up iCloud Keychain, go here .

Tip: To ensure the best passkeys experience, make sure your operating system and browser are up to date.

Based on your operating system and browser, you may not be able to create or use passkeys while in Incognito mode.

If you have a Google Workspace account through your school or employer, you may not be able to sign in to your account with just a passkey. You can still create passkeys on your devices, but they may only be used as a second factor in 2-Step Verification, in account recovery, and for some sensitive actions in your account that require Google to re-verify your identity.

In the "Skip password when possible" account settings page, you can find whether your admin allows you to sign in with just a passkey.

Workspace admins can learn more here .

Set up passkeys

Important: When you create a passkey, you opt in to a passkey-first, password-less sign-in experience. Create passkeys only on personal devices that you control. Even if you sign out of your Google Account, once you create a passkey on a device, anyone who can unlock the device can sign back into your Google Account with the passkey.

To set up a passkey, you may need to sign in to your Google Account or verify it’s really you.

  • Go to https://myaccount.google.com/signinoptions/passkeys .

and then

  • You'll be required to unlock your device.

To create passkeys on multiple devices, repeat these steps from those devices.

To create a passkey on an external FIDO2 capable USB security key:

  • You'll be required to insert your hardware security key and enter its PIN or touch the fingerprint sensor on the key.
  • Once you create your first passkey, the next time you sign in on any device that supports passkeys, you'll be prompted to create a passkey on that device.
  • If you don't want other users to access your account, do not create a passkey on a shared device.

Use your passkey to sign in

When you sign out of an Android device, you need to sign back with an alternate method. If you perform any sensitive actions while you're signed in that require you to re-verify your identity, you can use the passkey on the Android device itself.

On other non-Android devices, you can use your passkey to sign back into your account as well as to re-verify your identity while you’re already signed in.

  • On the Google sign-in page on your device, enter your username.
  • The exact UI will vary depending on your operating system and browser.
  • To try to trigger the prompt for your passkey, you can use the "Try another way" option.
  • On the Google sign-in page on your computer, enter your username.
  • Below the password field, click the Try another way link.
  • Click Use your passkey .
  • If you want to use a passkey that was created on a hardware security key, you'll have an option to select "USB security key" or equivalent.
  • For iOS: You can use the built-in camera app.
  • For Google Pixel phones: You can use the built-in QR code scanner.
  • For other Android devices: If you can't scan the QR code with the native camera app or the system QR code scanner, you can use Google Lens.
  • To verify your identity on your phone, you'll be prompted for your fingerprint, face unlock, or phone PIN.
  • The next time you sign in with this computer and phone combination, you'll automatically get a notification on your phone to complete the identity verification process.

Tip: After you sign in, you may be asked to create a passkey on the computer. If you don't want other users to access your account, do not create a passkey on a shared device.

Check your passkeys

  • Tip: If you're signed into multiple accounts, make sure you are verifying your identity for your desired account.

If your account already has passkeys, they’re listed here.

  • Tip: If you have an Android phone signed in with this account, you may have passkeys registered automatically for you.

Remove or opt out of passkeys

Remove a passkey you created.

  • You may need to sign in.
  • Select Security .
  • Under "Signing in to Google," tap Passkeys .
  • Select the passkey you want to remove.

safari asking for google sign in

Remove a passkey automatically created by Android

To remove a passkey that was automatically created on your Android device, you need to remove the device from your Google Account.

  • Go to your Google Account .
  • On the left navigation panel, select  Security .
  • On the Your devices panel, select  Manage all devices .

and then

  • If multiple sessions appear with the same device name, they could all come from the same device or multiple devices. If you want to make sure there’s no account access from a device, sign out of all the sessions with this device name.

Tip: You can check google.com/devices to review all devices with access to your account .

  • Turn off Skip password when possible .

Tip: When you first create a passkey, you opt in to a passkey-first, password-less, sign-in experience. To sign in to your Google Account without a passkey and use another sign-in method, tap Try another way . If you choose "Try another way" often, Google will offer the passkey challenge less frequently in the future to reflect your implied preferences. You can change this by repeatedly signing in with passkeys.

Fix a problem about a lost or missing passkey

  • On a device you’re able to access, sign in to your Google Account.
  • Learn how to remove a passkey

If you have passkeys on your account but aren't offered a passkey during sign-in, make sure that:

  • If your device's screen lock is disabled, you will not be able to use the passkey on that device until you enable the screen lock again.
  • The "Skip password when possible" toggle is on in your security settings at myaccount.google.com/security .

To sign in to your Google Account without a passkey, tap Try another way to skip the passkey challenge and go back to your earlier sign-in choices.

Tip: If you choose "Try another way" often, Google will offer the passkey challenge less frequently in the future to reflect your implied preferences. You can change this by repeatedly signing in with passkeys.

Google is on to us - How do I turn off Google Sign-In Prompts?

I tried following the instructions provided in a previous posting of this issue. I could not find an option in Google security settings for turning off the super annoying pop-ups to sign in to your Google account on every single page browsed in Safari and other web browsers. I personally do not want Google tracking my browsing history, so I always say no.

Apple, how do we stop this in Safari?

  • Google Popup Signing Prompt - How stop it? I, like many others, want to stop the Google signing popup that I get when I go to websites. I have read many responses to this question and none of them apply. For example, go to Google/Security/Signing in with Google (under signing to other sites). This option doesn't exist. I use DuckDuckGo extensions to block popups as well as Safari setting Block & Notify for all Pop up windows. Surely there has to be an answer, even if the answer is there isn't a way to stop these popups at this time. Is Apple doing anything to help all its frustrated users to fix this issue? Really would like to get an absolutely definitive answer to this issue. Thanks! 9884 40
  • Annoying Popup “Use your google account to Sign in” I am using: iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 16, Safari with block popups “on” in settings and Duck duck go. I do not use Chrome. My problem is: When I open certain websites (for example Redfin), a popup appears on each page telling me to “Use your Google Account to Sign In”. I never sign in with my google account and have already disabled this function from all of my google accounts. I also toggled off the switch on all of my google accounts that enables google to notify me to sign in using my google account. Despite all my efforts, the popups still appear on each page of particular websites (not all websites), and I have to close the popups continually to read the page. Why isn’t safari blocking these google popups? Isn’t there any solution to stop these google popups appearing in websites? 9380 6
  • How to stop Google sign-in prompt on Safari iPhone? I have searched and it seems as if this question hasn’t been asked and it told me to ask it again. As of recently I’ve been getting a notification/banner on the lower portion of my phone asking me if i want to sign into google. This is BEYOND annoying! Are there any resolutions for this? I haven’t found a successful or competent answer. [Re-Titled by Moderator] 18431 5
