What Are Those Official Platinum Tickets?

If you’re seeing very expensive tickets that are not VIP, those are official platinum tickets. These tickets are very expensive and are offered well over the standard ticket prices. They’re the kind of ticket pricing that is unfair to fans. The Event Organizer(s) has priced these tickets according to their market value (aka dynamic pricing). In other words, ticket pricing can go up or down, and it usually goes up.

Artists can choose not to offer Official Platinum or limit the amount for charity purposes. The Cure , Pearl Jam and U2 have all been recognized as artists that don’t use these dynamic pricing tactics.

Official platinum tickets do not include VIP packages. The only positive thing about them is they make buying floor or front-row tickets to a high-demand concert very easy if you’re willing to shed the extra coin. They can be bought during a presale without a presale code (doesn’t always apply to Verified Fan). Availability and pricing for official platinum tickets are subject to change based on demand.

If money is not an object, you should definitely bank on the convenience of getting Official Platinum tickets.

Pro Tips When Buying Your Tickets

First, on the day of the presale or general onsale (whichever you prefer), login to your Ticketmaster account ( go to my account or sign in located on the upper right corner of the page ) at least 15 minutes ahead of the sale time. If you don’t have one,  create one now .

Be sure to add your billing info (aka credit card info) before jumping into the digital queue for a quick check-out. Once the presale starts, remain in the digital queue. Only use one browser window because using multiple browsers or devices and multiple accounts with the same phone number can result in errors. Trust, it’s happened to us before! Don’t refresh your page, do be patient, don’t leave your page, do get those tickets!

What To Do If Tickets Are Sold Out?

If tickets sell out, your other option is to buy them via online resellers like VividSeats or StubHub. When all else fails, we prefer these resell options because both offer a 100% Guarantee. You can also purchase resell tickets through Ticketmaster’s resell program. Just search for the concert or event you want to attend , and see if they have any resell tickets available. We recommend you compare the three options and find out which works best for you.

Alternatively, you can hit it old school style and show up at the concert when the box office opens and wish upon a star that they release more tickets, or hopefully, another concert-goer has an extra ticket to sell at face-value or even giveaway for free. Trust, this happens more often than not! We’ve given away many tickets to sold-out shows simply because our +1 couldn’t make it.

Also, more standard tickets are often released via Ticketmaster 1-3 days leading up to the show date. We’ve seen it with Beyonce , Taylor Swift , Arctic Monkeys and many more! It’s a secret gatekeeped by many, but if you’re reading this, now you know! So be sure to set your calendar notifications!

A bout Billy Joel

New York’s quintessential son, Billy Joel, is one of the greatest musicians of our time. Joel ranks as one of the most popular recording artists and respected entertainers in history. The singer, songwriter, and composer is the sixth best-selling recording artist of all time and the third best-selling solo artist. Joel’s songs have acted as personal and cultural touchstones for millions of people across five decades. Joel’s biggest hits include “Uptown Girl,” “Just The Way You Are,” “The Longest Time,” and “Vienna,” among others. In 2016, the Library of Congress selected “Piano Man” for preservation in the National Recording Registry for its “cultural, historic, and artistic significance.”

Joel is also the recipient of six Grammy Awards, including the prestigious Grammy Legend Award. Joel has received the RIAA’s Diamond Award twice for “Greatest Hits Volume I & Volume II” and “The Stranger.” Joel has been inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and has received numerous industry awards, including a Tony Award for “Movin’ Out,” a Broadway musical based on Joel’s music.

Joel has also performed alongside other music greats at two of Madison Square Garden’s most extraordinary benefit concerts – “12-12-12, The Concert For Sandy Relief,” which raised awareness and money for those affected by Hurricane Sandy and “The Concert for New York City,” which was held to help aid 9/11 victims and heroes.

A bout Stevie Nicks

Legendary singer, songwriter and storyteller Stevie Nicks is one of rock and roll’s most successful, inimitable, and groundbreaking artists. As a multi-platinum, Grammy Award winning solo artist and member of Fleetwood Mac, she is the first women to have been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice and has collectively sold more than 140 million albums. Having captivated audiences for decades with her iconic live performances, distinctive songwriting, and constant cultural influence, Nicks continues to be an inspiration and mentor to younger performers. A member of Fleetwood Mac since 1974, the band’s enduring spirit stands for an incredible body of music – including Rumours, one of the best-selling albums of all time – that has connected with generations of people all over the world for more than 50 years. In October 2020, Stevie Nicks 24 Karat Gold The Concert was released at select cinemas, drive ins and exhibition spaces around the world for two nights only. The sold-out film offered audiences a virtual front row seat to the magic Nicks brought on her sold-out 24 Karat Gold Tour.

Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel

UPDATED: Billy Joel, Stevie Nicks launch Two Icons One Night tour

UPDATED — New show announcement!

March 10, 2023

On Friday night, Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks kicked off the TWO ICONS ONE NIGHT co-headlining tour at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, a suburb of Los Angeles. Surprisingly, it was the first time the two living legends had ever performed together, despite both artists starting their professional careers around the same time in the early 1970s.

Hitting the stage first, Stevie performed her usual crowd-pleasing set of solo hits (“ If Anyone Falls ,” “ Stand Back ,” “ Edge of Seventeen “) and Fleetwood Mac favorites (“ Dreams ,” “ Gypsy ,” “ Gold Dust Woman “).

Previewing her highly anticipated solo tour, which debuts next Wednesday in Seattle , Stevie added the rocker “ Fall from Grace ,” from Trouble in Shangri-La , and the majestic “Sara,” from Fleetwood Mac ‘s Tusk (replacing deep cuts “ Enchanted ” and “ Solider’s Angel ” from last year’s set). Stevie’s solo tour will play concurrently with the Two Icons One Night shows.

As expected, Billy joined Stevie onstage for her bluesy duet “ Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around ,” originally recorded with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers  for Bella Donna . Billy handled the big vocal part well, as the two singers exchanged smiles throughout the song.

Other guest vocalists, who have sung on the 1981 hit single in recent years, include Chrissie Hynde , Keith Urban and Harry Styles .

Stevie returned to the stage during Billy’s set, singing on the tender piano ballad “ And So It Goes ,” from his Storm Front (1989) album.

Stevie covered Buffalo Springfield ‘s track “ For What It’s Worth ” (from 1966) and released it as a digital single last May.

For the first of two encores, Stevie performed “ Rhiannon ” wearing a signature long black chiffon wrap.

During the second encore, “ Landslide ,” Stevie paid tribute to late Fleetwood Mac member Christine McVie , who passed away last November. Visibly emotional, she dedicated the song to Christine, saying “I have to imagine she’s still here. It’s all I can do.” In tears, Stevie was unable to sing the last word of the song and put her head down for a few moments.

Pictures of her and Christine captured over the years poignantly displayed on the large monitor at the back of the stage.

Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel Launch 2023 Tour: Set List and Video

Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel kicked off their run of co-headlining dates with a performance at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles last night.

Nicks opened the show with a 16-song set that included Fleetwood Mac classics “Dreams,” “Sara” and “Rhiannon” along with Buffalo Springfield ’s “For What It’s Worth” and Tom Petty ’s “Free Fallin’.” She dedicated her last song, “Landslide,” to late bandmate Christine McVie – it was the first time she’d performed since McVie died in November. As she sang, the stage screens showed pictures of the women together over the years. Afterwards, struggling with her emotions, Nicks told the crowd, “There's really not much to say. We just will pretend that she’s still here. That’s how I’m trying to deal with it. Thank you for listening.”

Joel, who’d joined Nicks for a rendition of “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” before delivering his own 21-song set that included a nod towards his classical music interest with “Nessun Dorma.” Nicks returned to guest on “And So It Goes.”

Full set lists for both performers and video clips from the show can be found below.

Despite both coming to prominence at similar times, Joel and Nicks didn't cross paths until later in life. "We met at a Fleetwood Mac gig in San Francisco probably 10 years ago," Joel revealed during a recent conversation with the Los Angeles Times . "I just got to meet her backstage, but we’ve never worked together, even though we both kind of hit at the same time. So this’ll be a completely new thing for me."

In that interview, Joel hinted he'd "probably do one of her songs and she’ll probably do one of mine." Probed as to whether he'd decided which Nicks song to cover, the Piano Man responded: "That’s up to her."

The L.A. concert was the first of nine dates where the rock legends will share the stage. In addition to the shows alongside Joel, Nicks will be doing a run of solo performances , beginning March 15 in Seattle. Meanwhile, the Piano Man will continue his ongoing monthly gigs at Madison Square Garden.

Billy Joel & Stevie Nicks in Los Angeles

Duo will play SoFi Stadium in Mar 2023

Music legends Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks, two of the most loved and universally respected entertainers of all time, announce one unforgettable evening of live music at SoFi Stadium on Friday, March 10, 2023. The spectacular one night only show marks the first time the two have ever performed on the same stage in Los Angeles.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, November 11th at 10 am local time via Ticketmaster .

Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning Monday, November 7th at 10 am local time until Thursday, November 10th at 10 pm local time through the Citi Entertainment program.

This is the second concert the pair announced this week. Joel and Nicks first shared they’d be performing at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX on Saturday, April 8, 2023. The spectacular one-night-only show marks the first time the two have ever performed on the same stage in Texas.

In 2016, the Library of Congress selected “Piano Man” for preservation in the National Recording Registry for its “cultural, historic, and artistic significance.” Joel is also the recipient of six Grammy Awards, including the prestigious Grammy Legend Award. Joel has received the RIAA’s Diamond Award twice for Greatest Hits Volume I & Volume II and The Stranger . Joel has been inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and has received numerous industry awards, including a Tony Award for Movin’ Out , a Broadway musical based on Joel’s music.

In December 2013, Joel was named Madison Square Garden’s first-ever music franchise, joining the ranks of the storied venue’s other original franchises – the New York Knicks and New York Rangers. The record-breaking residency began in January 2014 with Joel playing one show every month at The Garden, “as long as the demand continues,” says Joel. He continues through March 2023 with his 89th monthly and 135th lifetime show at The World’s Most Famous Arena.

Legendary singer, songwriter and storyteller Stevie Nicks is one of rock and roll’s most successful, inimitable, and groundbreaking artists. As a multi-platinum, Grammy Award winning solo artist and member of Fleetwood Mac, she is the first woman to have been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice and has collectively sold more than 140 million albums. Having captivated audiences for decades with her iconic live performances, distinctive songwriting, and constant cultural influence, Nicks continues to be an inspiration and mentor to younger performers. A member of Fleetwood Mac since 1974, the band’s enduring spirit stands for an incredible body of music – including Rumours , one of the best-selling albums of all time – that has connected with generations of people all over the world for more than 50 years. In October 2020, Stevie Nicks 24 Karat Gold The Concert was released at select cinemas, drive ins and exhibition spaces around the world for two nights only. The sold-out film offered audiences a virtual front row seat to the magic Nicks brought on her sold out 24 Karat Gold Tour.

Billy Joel on his L.A. years: I felt like ‘an exiled writer living in Paris’

Billy Joel, dressed in dark clothing, stands between large rolling crates.

Billy Joel says that if he had to do it over again, he’d un-write “at least 25%” of his songs.

“I’ve written some real stinkers I wish I could take back,” he says, starting with “ When in Rome ” (from 1989’s “Storm Front”) and “ C’était Toi ” (from 1980’s “Glass Houses”). “I don’t even speak French,” he says of the latter, “so I don’t know what I was doing. Sometimes I’d get six or seven songs I thought were pretty damn good, then there’d be a couple of squeeze-outs at the end just to fill up the album.

“I realize now I shouldn’t have done that.”

Fortunately for Joel, the quality stuff has provided more than enough hits to power his career as one of music’s top touring acts over the three decades since he released his last pop album, “River of Dreams,” in 1993. This year — between shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden, where he’s held down a monthly residency since 2014 — Joel, 73, is playing stadiums with Stevie Nicks , an unlikely pairing given his reputation as a proudly uptight New Yorker and hers as a vibey purveyor of California cool.

Yet the run of concerts, which begins Friday night at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium, is also an opportunity to remember that Joel’s career actually got going in Los Angeles, where he wrote his signature song, “ Piano Man ,” about his experiences entertaining the patrons of the now-defunct Executive Room near the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Western Avenue.

Joel, whose pop currency never quite seems to wane — see the TikTok craze over his late-’70s tune “ Zanzibar ,” or Olivia Rodrigo’s shout-out in her song “Deja Vu” — called from his home in Florida, where he lives for much of the year with his fourth wife, Alexis Roderick, and their two young daughters.

A young man sits on a sheepskin-covered sofa holding an open magazine

You moved to L.A. in 1972, after your debut album failed to make much noise. Were you excited or reluctant to come here? I was excited. I’d never lived anywhere else other than Long Island, so I saw L.A. as this great romantic place. I was sort of in my own western. I got to live up in the Malibu hills for a while, and to me that was like being in “The Magnificent Seven.” Then I moved to a rental house on Mulholland Drive in Hollywood — very scenic, right over the Hollywood Bowl. But everybody seemed to be in the same business I was in. If I wanted a guy to help fix my plumbing, he wasn’t really a plumber — he was an actor. And if an electrician came to my house, he was actually a writer. It got to be kind of confusing: Does anybody really do anything here? And this is when New York was having all this financial trouble, and it was gonna go down the tubes. There’s that famous headline: “Ford to New York: Drop Dead.” When I heard about that, I got my back up. I said, I’m going back home — this isn’t my place.

What was your repertoire at the Executive Room? I didn’t really have a pat list. I just played whatever popped into my head at the time, depending on what I was drinking. I got free drinks and kind of lubricated myself throughout the night. It was probably a combination of Hoagy Carmichael, the Beatles and whatever big pop hit there was the time. “ Me and Mrs. Jones .”

Did you take requests? I did. I was working for tips. So was the woman I ended up marrying. Elizabeth [Weber] was a cocktail waitress in the bar. She’d work the room her way — the waitress practicing politics [from “Piano Man”] — and I’d work the room my way. We had to pay the rent.

What might you have played at the end of the night if you’d had too many? Probably something patriotic. “The Star-Spangled Banner” or “Stars and Stripes Forever.” I remember there was a fight in the bar, and to calm everybody down I played a patriotic song, so everybody stood up and saluted the flag and stopped the fight. I was a hero for a second.

What was your attitude toward L.A. after you left? I was in some ways scornful, but I was also melancholy about leaving. I went from being an insignificant nobody to the Piano Man while I was there. I still look back to my time in L.A. with a certain amount of romance, almost as if I was an exiled writer living in Paris or something.

How long have you known Stevie Nicks? We met at a Fleetwood Mac gig in San Francisco probably 10 years ago. I just got to meet her backstage, but we’ve never worked together, even though we both kind of hit at the same time. So this’ll be a completely new thing for me. I’ll probably do one of her songs and she’ll probably do one of mine.

Which song of hers are you thinking about? That’s up to her.

You ever feel lonely as a solo act compared to a band like Fleetwood Mac that has all these deep interpersonal ties? I did very much enjoy touring with Elton John. It was like I joined something. As a solo artist, it’s always me, me, me — gets kind of boring. But when I hooked up with Elton, I got to play his material, which was a hell of a lot of fun. I miss that.

What was your favorite Elton song to play? Either “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” or “The Bitch Is Back.” Digging into somebody else’s inspiration is cool, especially when you’re playing the piano. Elton’s got a lot of gospel in his stuff — a lot of rhythmic piano, almost like rhythm guitar. Mine is more classical-based. But there’s not many piano players that people are aware of in rock ’n’ roll. Randy Newman. Bruce Hornsby. Leon Russell. Dr. John. We kind of hang in the same group.

In 2018 you told the New York Times that you couldn’t see yourself playing Madison Square Garden in five years. Here we are, and you’re still doing the MSG gig as well as the tour with Stevie. I know. It’s bizarre. At the end of every tour, I feel like that’s it for me: “OK, I’m done.” And then some time goes by and it’s like, “Let’s go out and play.”

When the time comes, would you consider a big farewell tour like the one Elton’s on? That was brought up the other day. But I have a disdain for capitalizing on that: “Let me threaten that it’ll be the end, and then I’ll make a lot of money.” I’ve seen bands so many times announce their farewell tours and then they never go away. I’ve seen a couple of the Who farewells at this point.

Christine McVie ’s passing last year was a grim reminder that a lot of folks from your generation of rock ’n’ roll have reached a certain age. In the next 10 years— There’s gonna be a lot of attrition. I had an idea for a tour [of mine]: The poster has illustrations of a bunch of dead insects, and the name of the tour is Dropping Like Flies. I say to my agent, “Look, go ahead and be as grim as you want.” We’re all aware of it.

One wonders if Fleetwood Mac will tour without Christine as we’ve seen Steely Dan do without Walter Becker and the Eagles without Glenn Frey. What’s your take on a band touring after a key member dies? Depends who it is. I’d go see the Eagles even without Glenn because their material is so strong. They’ve been together so long, they’re a hard-working band.

What did you think of the Rolling Stones’ decision to go out without Charlie Watts? The drummer they were using, Steve Jordan, he’s great. But I would have wanted to see Charlie, honestly. I mean, when Bill Wyman left, I sort of felt like that was it for the Stones. But they don’t stop. I think it’s an English thing. Scotsmen have a reputation for being tight with a penny, but the English give them a good run for their money.

You’re one of the few legacy acts that still tours but doesn’t put out new music. Has your experience seeing what audiences want to hear — which is to say, the old hits — proven that your decision to stop recording was the right one? Well, I didn’t make that decision based on whether it was right or wrong. It just felt like it was time for me to stop writing songs. I didn’t have the same motivation anymore. You need inspiration to create good new music, and if you don’t have it, don’t bother. Get off the treadmill, for Christ’s sake.

What’s your barometer for judging whether a new song is good or bad? You can always tell. But it also just got to a point where it was getting excruciating for me to write. The enjoyment went out of it. I just read an interesting quote by Hemingway. Someone asked him, “Why is it so easy for me to read your stuff?” And Hemingway said, “Because it was so goddamn hard for me to write.”

When you’re putting together a set list, do you ever think about how your songs — something like “ Captain Jack ,” which talks about “the junkies and the closet queens” — will be considered in the current cultural and political climate? You mean are they woke? It crosses my mind. But “Captain Jack” has gotten real boring to me. The verse is just two chords over and over again, and it’s this dreary story of some suburban kid jacking off at home. My mind starts to wander during the song, so I don’t do it even though people want to hear it.

“ Only the Good Die Young ” is a tough sell by woke standards. It’s occurred to me recently that I’m trying to talk some poor innocent woman into losing her virginity because of my lust. It’s kind of a selfish song — like, who cares what happens to you? What about what I want? But on the other hand, it was of its time. This was written in the mid-’70s, and I was trying to seduce girls. Why bulls— about it?

A young female singer and an older male singer onstage together

You lost something like 50 pounds during the pandemic, right? Yeah. It wasn’t even conscious. I mean, I’m glad I lost the weight because I was getting pretty heavy there. But I’ve gained a fair amount of it back. I found what I lost — or it found me.

You drink these days? I stopped a couple of years ago. It wasn’t a big AA kick. I just got to a point where I’d had enough. I didn’t enjoy being completely inebriated, and it probably created more problems in my life than I needed.

There’s no instinct to have a drink after a show? I don’t need it now. I used to get offstage and be so wound up and adrenalized that I needed something to calm down to go to sleep. But I realized when you’re drinking yourself to sleep, you’re not really sleeping. You’re just passing out.

What do you do when you get offstage now? I go to sleep. It takes all my strength these days just to get through a performance because it’s hard work. I leave it all on the stage.

Who in your life calls you Bill? Everybody does. My wife calls me Bill, my friends call me Bill. That’s my name. Billy is a little kid’s name: “Mrs. Joel, can Billy come out and play?” That’s what it sounds like to me. But the problem with Bill Joel is there’s nothing to it. It’s like a doorbell.

Anyone call you William? My wife does from time to time, and I know it’s a sign of trouble.

What do you do on a day when you don’t have a gig? I wait around for the kids to come back from school. I love hanging out with my children. They’re 7 and 5 now, and they’re so much fun and so interesting to me. I get to be a stay-at-home dad. That’s how I enjoy my life these days.

De La Soul

The timeless creativity of De La Soul, now (finally) available for the streaming generation

When Olivia Rodrigo joined you at MSG last year, you said as you introduced her that your kids like her music. Are you interested in what they’re into? Very much so. They like all the big artists like Olivia and Taylor Swift. But recently they’ve discovered the Beatles, and now they ask for us to put on the Beatles channel [on satellite radio]. It’s so much fun hearing those early Beatles tunes and watching my kids respond to them.

What do you think of Taylor Swift? Very good, conscientious writer. She knows music, and she’s productive — she’s working her ass off. She gets some shots just because she’s so popular, which must be tough to deal with. But I have a great deal of respect for her and for other artists from that same age group. They’re attuned to the craft of songwriting. They’re harkening back to the Gershwins.

Last thing: You recently wrote a letter to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame urging the nominating committee to put the late Warren Zevon on this year’s ballot. He made the cut . You take any pride in that? Well, he was my first vote.

If he gets in and the Rock Hall asks you, would you do the induction? I’m working this year, but if I’m in the right place at the right time, I would do that.

Which of his songs would you perform if asked? “Lawyers, Guns and Money.” Love that song.

Stevie Nicks, Billy Joel Open Concert Series as Nicks Pays Tribute to Christine McVie

billy joel tour los angeles

Billy Joel joined Stevie Nicks to perform “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” at SoFi Stadium, March 10, 2023

Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel played the first of their highly anticipated double bill concert series on Friday (March 10, 2023). The pair of classic rock legends performed at SoFi Stadium in the Los Angeles suburb of Inglewood. The series of nine monthly concerts, billed as “Two Icons – One Night,” was announced piecemeal. On Nov. 2, the first date – next month’s concert at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tex. – was revealed and it appeared to be a one-off event. But a day later, another pair of shows was announced including what ultimately became the opener at the home of the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers. Over the following weeks, more dates in the run, at football stadiums around the U.S., continued to be announced; it runs through Nov. 10.

Nicks opened the Friday night show with her first concert since the death of her longtime Fleetwood Mac bandmate, Christine McVie, who died last November. And as she sang the finale of her 16-song set, a series of photos of her “best friend” appeared on the screen behind her. Before she finished the song, Nicks stopped singing and became visibly emotional. She spoke, while choking back the tears, closing with “Thank you, Christine,” before being comforted by her band leader, the guitarist Waddy Wachtel, and taking a bow with her eight-piece band.

Nicks’ 16-song set naturally featured favorites from her Fleetwood Mac years (“Dreams,” “Gold Dust Woman,” “Gypsy”) and solo hits (“Edge of Seventeen,” “Stand Back”), as well as her customary cover of “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.” On this evening, she performed the signature hit duet, which she recorded in 1981 with Tom Petty and many of the Heartbreakers, with Joel.

Joel is clearly the headliner for these shows, and he started his own 21-song set with the buoyant “My Life,” as the crowd cheered throughout.

Nine songs in, he welcomed Nicks back to the stage, and together they sang “And So It Goes” while she stood across from Joel’s piano. She departed, after a hug and a kiss.

Joel performed his signature song for the final number of his main set.

Two songs into his encore, Joel sang “Uptown Girl.”

I can just see Nicks doing that choked up bit at every show. What does that tell you about her? Showboating emotions about her dead best friend is good business.

What do last-minute Billy Joel tickets cost for his March 28 MSG concert?

The countdown is on.

Billy Joel only has five concerts remaining at New York City’s Madison Square Garden before he wraps his record-smashing residency at the venue with his 150th concert on July 25.

Until then, it isn’t too late to snatch last-minute tickets for his fifth-to-last MSG gig on Thursday, March 28.

It won’t be cheap to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer live, though.

At the time of publication, the best price we could find on last-minute seats was $304 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Floor seats start at $362 before fees — not that much more to sit significantly closer to the stage.

Still, while that may sound pricey, there’s an element of scarcity at play here.

As we near Joel’s final concert at the Knicks’ home court, it’s likely prices will continue to rise. Therefore, this might be the best deal you see before Joel calls quits on his longstanding MSG stint.

Want to rock out to “Only The Good Die Young,” “Uptown Girl,” “We Didn’t Start The Fire,” “Scenes From An Italian Restaurant,” “Movin’ Out” and Joel’s 2024 single “Turn The Lights Back On” live?

You’re in the right place, Piano Men and Uptown Girls.

We’ve got everything you need to know and more about Billy Joel’s March 28 Madison Square Garden concert below.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

A complete breakdown of all the best prices by section at Madison Square Garden for Joel’ s March 28 concert can be found here:

(Note: The New York Post confirmed all above prices at the publication time. All prices are in US dollars, subject to fluctuation and include additional fees at checkout .)

Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They offer a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and your tickets will be delivered prior to the event.

Can’t make it out to see Joel on March 28?

That’s OK; he still has four more shows at MSG. Here’s how you can see him live before it’s too late.

In addition to his MSG residency, Joel will be quite busy this year.

He also has a few out-of-state co-headlining gigs with  Sting , Stevie Nicks  and  Rod Stewart .

Plus, Joel is slated to headline at Great Britain’s Principality Stadium on Aug. 9.

To find out if Billy is headed to your neck of the woods, check out his complete tour calendar  here .

On June 7, Alexa Ray Joel, Debbie Gibson , Darryl “DMC” McDaniels and members of Blue Öyster Cult will pay tribute to Joel at Brookville, NY’s Tilles Center for the Performing Arts .

“We are thrilled to celebrate the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame’s acclaimed 20-year history with an extraordinary benefit concert honoring Billy Joel,” said Ernie Canadeo, LIMEHOF Chairman.

“This spectacular evening will showcase Long Island’s creative talent and impact on the world, with historic performances by many of our 120+ inductees, exciting induction ceremonies, and highlights of our organization’s educational mission to preserve Long Island’s unparalleled music and entertainment heritage for future generations. It is the perfect complement to the much acclaimed “Billy Joel – My Life” exhibit, currently on display at the Hall of Fame in Stony Brook.”

You can grab tickets for the star-studded one-night-only event here .

Joel dropped his first single in nearly two decades on Thursday, Feb. 1.

You can hear the simultaneously romantic, nostalgic, and anthemic “Turn The Lights Back On”  here .

Joel isn’t the only icon who’s been performing since the ’70s on tour this year.

Here are just five of our favorite Rock and Roll Hall of Famers also on the road these next few months.

•  Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band

•  Rolling Stones

•  The Doobie Brothers

•  Chicago with Earth Wind and Fire

•  Journey with Def Leppard

Q&A: James Taylor on his 2024 U.S. tour, the possibility of new music and his legacy

LOS ANGELES — He's gone to Carolina in his mind and on tour for much of 2024.

Not long after his 76th birthday, James Taylor & His All-Star Band will take their show on the road in the United States, hitting 24 cities for 31 shows in five months.

Over Zoom from his studio in western Massachusetts, Taylor tells The Associated Press “It's been September since the last time I've been out." That, he says, is “a long time for me.”

The tour kicks off in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl on May 29 and ends at Wolf Trap Filene Center in Vienna, Virginia, on Sept. 15.

The tour hits Salt Lake City; Morrison, Colorado; Kansas City, Missouri; St. Louis; Highland Park, Illinois; Noblesville, Indiana; Nashville, Tennessee; North Little Rock, Arkansas; Thackerville, Oklahoma; Clarkston, Michigan; Darien Center, New York; Syracuse, New York; Bethel Woods, New York; Bangor, Maine; Gilford, New Hampshire; Lenox, Massachusetts; Philadelphia; Wantagh, New York; Saratoga Springs, New York; Bridgeport, Connecticut; Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, and Boston.

This interview has been edited for clarity and brevity.

AP: Before the continental U.S. tour, you're headed to Japan, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii. What keeps it interesting?

TAYLOR: The audience, always. The event itself has never failed to supply the motivation and the energy that is required. You know, it’s very compelling to go a great distance and to find a crowd of people that have bought tickets to come see me and the band play again.

Over time, it’s something you learn to do, to keep your strength up, keep your health... also, I don’t do more than a couple of shows in a row without a day off. I’ll do more than that if I’m in one town, but generally speaking, we pace ourselves now.

AP: That's good advice.

TAYLOR: I definitely burned myself out a few times.

AP: You're performing at Tanglewood, in your home state of Massachusetts, 50 years since you first performed there. What significance does it hold?

TAYLOR: I was trying to figure out whether or not it was 50 years or 50 shows that I’ve been playing at Tanglewood, and it turns out it’s both. 1974 was the first time I played there. It averages out to one a year, although at one point we skipped a whole decade.

We had an episode where one of my crew members, in a fit of pique, drove a truck across the Tanglewood lawn and made a mess of it. He was told he had to get the truck off the lawn because it had been raining and it was making an imprint on it. As we were breaking down after the show, he was driving out there to unload the mixing board and stuff. But he put it in reverse, stomped the accelerator and tore a great trough, a great furrow in the Tanglewood lawn. And they never asked me back. It was only when (my wife) Kim came along and resurrected my reputation that I was allowed to come back.

It’s been a great privilege... It's turned out to be a great thing for me, to play Tanglewood every year.

AP: Does an anniversary like that — 50 years — allow you to reflect on your career?

TAYLOR: This is the time of life when you feel like you ought to get in touch with a lawyer and make a will. You see, the older generation, the people that were your friends and mentors, sort of checking out one by one. It is a time when you feel as though things are being summed up a little bit and you start thinking about, the whole thing as a totality. You know, a line from one of my songs, “Copperline,” is “I'm only living 'til the end of the week,” and I think that really does describe me.

But, you know, it is a period of time when you look back and see the whole thing, it's important not to internalize that idea of being a big deal. It's important to focus on what it is that you do — and that thing as a craft that allows you to have your place in the world.

AP: What has that allowed you to learn?

TAYLOR: As time goes by, I think it’s wrong for people to judge other people and even to evaluate them, and yet it’s something we constantly do, and we can’t avoid it. But we should mitigate it by knowing that when we judge someone, we’ve got it wrong. They know who they are, and not we. But, of course, in a million ways, all day long, we evaluate ourselves and other people and it’s complicated. It's not up to me determine what my ultimate position in popular culture turns out to be 50 years from now.

AP: That's a value judgment, too.

TAYLOR: I see people selling the rights to their catalogs. That baby boom generation musical expression, which happened between '62 and 1980, that sort of 20 years of amazing activity that happened, I was in the center of it and actually got my start in London with the Beatles. So, I had a real sense of this generational phenomenon that the music that I was part of, was a big feature in the landscape and we were communicating to each other. We invented a kind of music there. It was predicted by rhythm and blues and folk music. And those two resurgences sort of fueled it and supplied it. It was big.

You see those people now, being in my sort of age group generally, selling the rights to their catalogs and sort of evaluating what their life’s output was worth. You know, David Bowie ’s went for like 250 million. I think (Bob) Dylan... got like 300 million... (Bruce) Springsteen is said to have gotten more than that, like half a billion or something. It’s sort of like monopoly money.

AP: What do you hope people take away from your live show, and are you working on a new album?

TAYLOR: I feel like I’ve got another one in me — sounds like an egg — but I'm writing a little bit.

And as to what I hope people take away from live performances, I hope they take away a sense of connection. You know, live music — the thing that I’m so attached to about it, why I can’t let it go — is that there’s something (that) happens when people come together for a couple of hours for two or three hours and have a sort of collective experience.

It's indescribable. You prepare for it, but when it happens, it’s spontaneous and, in a way, unique. I love it when that happens, and it does most nights.

AP: Give us a call if you consider selling your catalog.

TAYLOR: If someone comes sniffing around, I'll get in touch.
