1996, eh? I've honestly never heard of this cartoon. Not sure how it managed to slip by me; weird, since my household first received Cartoon Network in 1995, yet I don't even recall seeing so much as an ad for this. Sinbad must have languished in the non-peak viewing hour ghetto of weekend afternoons or something similar.

Or it might not have aired on CN in the US.

Due to issues with the Hays Production Code, Son of Sinbad wasn't released until 1955 (via AFI ). While there are some interesting actors attached to the movie, like Dale Robertson and Vincent Price, the focus is primarily on the women involved in the movie and making them as sexualized as possible. This takes away from the original story and just doesn't work for the film, making it more of a Hollywood sex symbol movie than an adventure starring Sinbad.

Having played the swashbuckling Zorro in Disney's Zorro , Williams' professional fencing skills are second to none and it is one of the few saving graces in the film.

There are no big names attached to the movie, and it is a bit on the strange side of B movies.

Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas had mixed reviews from critics on the animation style and voice acting, but otherwise was a box office bomb. The film is also one of the few on this list that has a female villain played by popular '40s singer Margaret Whiting.
