Personally, I love to travel, explore new places and do photography. However, this time I was planning a honeymoon trip with my wife. I was not aware of the fact that there was so much to explore in Kerala. We went to St. Francis Church, the Old Harbour Fort, Rose Garden and enjoyed a thrilling jet ride in the backwaters of the Marine Drive. Our next place to explore was Munnar, also known as the Kashmir of South India, which has an expanse of tea plantations. Therefore, we headed towards spice plantations where the aroma compelled us to buy some unique and authentic spices. On the next day, we explored more of Munnar and later on continued towards Thekkady. The best part was the houseboat stay in Alleppey where we witnessed enthralling views of the backwaters. Welcome to Kochi, known as "THE QUEEN OF ARABIAN SEA." Upon arrival at Kochi international airport, begin your journey to the hotel. Kochi is a major port city on the west coast of Peninsular India, surrounded by the Arabian Sea and Western Ghats. It's an ideal starting point for exploring the state's scenic beauty and charm. After reaching the hotel, check in and enjoy leisure activities.

After breakfast, check out and embark on a sightseeing tour of Kochi. Visit Fort Kochi, Mattancherry Palace, St. Francis Church, and the Chinese fishing nets at Fort Kochi beach.

In the afternoon, drive to Munnar, a beautiful hill town in the Western Ghats known for its tea and spice plantations. Enroute, visit Cheeyappara Waterfall and Valara Waterfalls. Upon arrival in Munnar, check in and relax.Overnight at Munnar.

Romantic Kerala Honeymoon: 6-day Bliss

Day 01: Cochin - Munnar

You are greeted on arrival at Kochi International Airport/Railway station by The Travel Planners representative and thereafter drive to Munnar hills (130 kms / 4 hrs). Enroute visit Cheyyappara Waterfalls. On the way to Munnar you can see tea gardens spread like a green carpet over hundreds of kilometers, lush green hills, a place so difficult to describe, very low population too far from pollution, most of the area covered by Tata tea. On arrival check in to the Hotel and relax. Overnight at Indriya Resort & Spa - Mountain View Room

Day 02: In Munnar

Morning sightseeing in Munnar which includes Mattupetty, Eco-Point, Tea Museum, Pothamedu, etc. You can also enjoy boating in the Lake (optional). Overnight at Indriya Resort & Spa - Mountain View Room

Day 03: Thekkady

Morning drive to Thekkady covering a distance of 110 kms / 3.5 hrs through cardamom hills. Check into the Resort. After lunch visits spice plantations like cardamom, Pepper, Coffee, tea estate, etc… On the way back to the hotel you could stop at the local market and pick up some fragrant spices. Overnight at Coffee Routes - Coffee Bungalow.

Day 04: Houseboat

Today morning after breakfast Proceed to Alleppey, Known as the Venice of the East. On arrival check into a Traditional Houseboat of Kerala Style and cruise through the backwaters is a fabulous way to explore the fascinating beauty of the backwaters. Stay overnight in Houseboat - Deluxe A/c

Day 05: Alleppey

Today morning after breakfast at 09 AM, check out at Alleppey and then transfer to a beautiful Backwater Resort (35 Minutes Drive). On arrival check in to the Resort. Afternoon you can do boating, fishing, and sunset cruise in the evening. Overnight stay in Kondai Lip Backwater Resort - Deluxe Cottage

Day 06: Departure
