Ultimate Guide to Brisbane International Cruise Terminal

Finalised in mid-2020, the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal (BICT) is Queensland’s first ever dedicated cruise facility homeporting some of the largest cruise ships in the world.

The 9300 square metre Arkhefield-designed terminal features a 208-metre-long wharf, 270-metre-long elevated walkway, parking facilities, and riverfront open spaces.

BICT is located at 1 Cruise Terminal Dr, Pinkenba, also known as Luggage Point. The port’s close proximity to Brisbane’s Central Business District and its nearness to the airport makes it more accessible for both locals and foreign visitors.

The Brisbane International Cruise Terminal is only open during the cruise ship’s berthing time.

The Brisbane International Cruise Terminal was finalised in mid-2020.

Homeported cruise lines

Brisbane International Cruise Terminal homeports a number of cruise lines. Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruises, Carnival Cruises, Disney Cruise Line, Ponant, Seabourn Cruise Line and Silversea Cruises.

How to get there

When the GPS systems may not recognise the official address of BICT, drivers can use Marine Road, which becomes Cruise Terminal Drive.

The cruise terminal is situated at the mouth of the Brisbane River. It is a 15-minute drive (12km) from Brisbane Airport and a 30-minute drive (21km) from the CBD. It is close to major arterial roads such as the Gateway Motorway and Kingsford Smith Drive.

From the airport

It will only take about 15-17 minutes (without traffic) to travel from Brisbane Airport to Brisbane International Cruise Terminal.

Guests/passengers may take a taxi, or rideshare like Uber, Ola, or DiDi, or pre-book a private transfer like the door-to-door shuttle services, Con-X-ion . Additionally, those who are traveling with a private vehicle may take the route via Lomandra Dr and State Route 25 (12.8km).

BICT is not currently serviced by public transport .

From Brisbane Central Business District (CBD)

It only takes approximately 29 minutes to drive from Brisbane CBD to BICT via Airport Link (22.4 km). And more or less 30 minutes via State Route 26.

Guests and travelers must also alot several minutes more to consider the traffic especially during rush hours.

Parking at BICT

Onsite parking at Brisbane International Cruise Terminal is managed by Wilson Parking. For travelers and guests, they may make their bookings via the Wilson Parking website: www.wilsonparking.com.au.

The plan to extend the car park of BICT and add an extra 340 parking spaces is now underway. The additional car parks will increase BICT’s total onsite parking to 1282 parking bays for passengers and staff.

In the event that onsite parking is full, guests and travellers can be dropped off or make alternative parking arrangements.

There are also off-site car parking operators and private transfer providers in Brisbane like Andrew’s Airport Parking. You can contact them on (07) 3268 4222 or Portside Parking on (07) 3630 0922.

Moreover, there is a 2-minute Passenger Pick-up and set-down area located in front of the terminal building. It also has two accessible bays.

Hotels closest to BICT

Brisbane is the capital of Queensland and Australia’s third-largest city. So, accommodations and hotels for cruise ship guests and passengers are not much of a problem.

There is the Pacific Hotel Brisbane in Spring Hill which is about 16 km from BICT.

On the other hand, the Brisbane Central District also houses several hotels including Capri by Fraser, Stamford Plaza which is 15.7 km from BICT.

There is also the Great Southern Hotel, Hyatt Regency, and The Point Brisbane Hotel which are approximately 16 km from BCIT.

Hi Simon, about 35 minutes in non-peak period, via State Route 25 or the Airport Link from Brisbane CBD.

Thanks for the info. I’m leaving from BICT for first time in March next year. I’m staying in the CBD and Quantum of the Seas leaves at 4.30pm. As there’s no public transport to the terminal, I’m wondering what the traffic situation is like. I want to get on around 1.30 – 2.00. What time do you think I should leave? I’ll be getting Uber.

Hope you can assist. 🙂

Cheers, Simon.

Best Cruise Deals and Discounts sorted by your dream destination

Sometimes it's all about the destination and that is certainly true of cruise destinations. The cruise port you depart from and the amazing cruise ports you visit define your experience as much as what cruise line or cruise ship you sail on. At CruiseExperts.com we understand that and have sorted these cruises by the places you'll visit on your cruise vacation. So whether it's a cruise to Alaska, a Caribbean cruise, cruises to Hawaii, a cruise to the Bahamas or Bermuda or a cruise to Mexico you'll find it easily with the help of our destination wizard. Maybe you're looking for a cruise vacation that's just a little different like a Panama Canal cruise, a Transatlantic cruise, cruises to Europe, a Tahiti cruise with a tour of the South Pacific, a down under adventure with an Australia / New Zealand cruise or even a fall foliage cruise through Canada and New England. Whatever “floats your boat” get started by selecting your dream destination on our cruise search page .

Last Minute Cruises can sometimes be the cheapest cruise deal.

Sometimes, but not always, the cheapest cruise deal is a Last Minute Cruise. You won't get a wide selection of stateroom categories or a chance to select your stateroom location but if your schedule is flexible you just might find a cheap cruise price on a last minute cruise. Last minute cruises are cruises leaving in the next 90 days. The cruise line really wants to fill those last few staterooms and sometimes will offer them at a discount cruise price in exchange for you giving up your right to a full selection of cabin categories or deck locations. CruiseExperts.com makes it easy for you to poke around and see what's available in last minute cruise deals. View our Last Minute Cruise Deals by clicking here and give it a try. What you need to know about Brisbane International Cruise Terminal!

Here’s what you need to know about the new Brisbane International Cruise Terminal and Brisbane Cruise Terminal parking. Don’t miss this crucial information and essential details about the location and parking that will surprise and disappoint you!

What you need to know about Brisbane International Cruise Terminal

In the middle of 2020, the brand-new Brisbane International Cruise Terminal (BICT) was finalised, heralding a warm welcome to cruise ships as Southeast Queensland’s inaugural specialized cruise hub. Representing Brisbane’s fresh haven for oceanic getaways, this terminal is accessible solely during cruise ship berthing times. The previous cruise terminal located at Portside Hamilton has since been shuttered, marking a significant transition.

Once you are inside the terminal building, it operates well. However, I found myself searching for shelter, unable to find car parking and stuck with expensive transport fares. Three years after completion, the long drive to the building is through an unguttered, industrial wasteland.  Not a great first impression of Brisbane for travellers.

Here’s my latest cruise review – Ditch Ordinary Life: Cruise from Australia to New Zealand with Princess Cruises for a Dreamy First Time Adventure

Brisbane International Cruise Terminal dock IMAGE Kerry Heaney

It’s at Pinkenba, not Portside

The first thing you need to know is that the new Brisbane International Cruise Terminal at Pinkenba is easy to confuse with the old Portside Wharf at Hamilton cruise terminal. They are both in the same general direction, but the new terminal is a long way further down the river, on the northern bank right at the naturally deep river mouth at Luggage Point, not far from Brisbane Airport

If you are booking parking or a ride-share app, ensure it displays the correct address. The apps tend to default to the most commonly used destination, which was previously Portside Wharf at Hamilton.

The terminal building is two storeys, with an undercover plaza and outdoor waterfront promenade. There are covered walkways where you can go after getting out of your ride and walk into the terminal.

The 208-metre wharf was built to service the world’s largest cruise ships at the time of opening in 2020. Since then, the ships have increased in size.

Once inside the terminal, passengers go through security screening and immigration. Then you can travel from the terminal building to the vessel via a passenger boarding bridge and a 270m elevated walkway. It’s quite a leisurely stroll.

How to get to Brisbane International Cruise Terminal

The cruise terminal is located on the north side of the Brisbane River mouth, about 15 minutes’ drive (12 km) from Brisbane Airport and 30 minutes’ drive (21 km) from Brisbane’s CBD. The terminal is close to major arterial roads, such as Kingsford Smith Drive and Gateway Motorway.

There is no public transport to the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal. However, if you are a local, you can book Brisbane Cruise Terminal parking , get a friend to drop you off, or take a taxi or ride share option.

Cruise passengers disembarking in Brisbane will find plenty of taxis and ride-share drivers available. In addition, your cruise ship may provide a city transfer or a city tour option.

Brisbane Cruise Terminal Parking

The terminal has about 900 onsite paid car parking spaces for passengers. Unfortunately, this is not enough to accommodate everyone, so the first thing to do after you book your cruise is book your parking as spaces book out well ahead. Construction has commenced on an additional 340 car parks, and these are expected to be available in 2024. Let’s hope this solves some of the problems.

Parking is available within walking distance of the terminal, and rates start at $32.40 a day. So, for a six-day cruise, you could pay $104.80. The question is whether this is cheaper or more expensive than a taxi or Uber? This will depend on how far you need to travel to reach the terminal.

Convenience is another factor. Having your car when you arrive back from your cruise might be handy. If you decide to drive and park, book early, as there are insufficient parking spaces for passengers on large cruise ships.

There are different types of parking available, with some offering weather protection. Whether this weather protection would save you in a hailstorm must be tested. Please share below if you have thoughts on this.

A cheaper alternative is a shuttle service, where you park further away from the terminal, and the company provides transfers and pick-ups.  You can book in advance with Wilson Parking .

It’s also difficult if you want to visit the terminal for a short period, perhaps to meet some friends.  I suggest you just drive by and pick them up in the loading zone.

If Brisbane is just a stop on your cruise, you should know here is nothing to do at the terminal, and most places you might want to visit, such as Portside or the DFO, are an expensive return Uber or taxi ride away.  For an easy pub lunch, you can call Trade Coast Hotel at Pinkenba on 07 3261426.  They will come and pick you up from the ship and return you after you enjoy lunch at their bistro restaurant.

What’s it like to cruise on Quantum of the Seas from Brisbane?

Can you eat there?

There is now a cafe at the terminal that is open at 7 am on cruise days. The Cruise Cafe serves coffee, light meals, snacks and other drinks.

Any shopping?

There are no shopping outlets at the terminal.

What happens if your cruise ship is delayed docking?

This happened to me when the cruise ship was delayed because of a medical emergency. It’s good to know that a high priority is placed on the health of cruise passengers.

Unfortunately, the late arrival and delay in boarding caused massive problems at the terminal. People were standing in the hot sun in long queues for up to two hours. So if you get a notification that your ship is arriving late, don’t rush to be there early. It really won’t help. You are much better off arriving at the time they suggest and spending less time in a queue.

I wished I had better sun protection, such as a long-sleeved shirt and my hat for the boarding queue.

Getting off the ship

There were no delays in getting off the ship.  I chose to handle my own bags and was able to disembark soon after the ship docked.  It was simple to get through customs and then to the taxi queue.  There were plenty of taxis waiting as the drivers had received an alert that the ship was docking.

I’m sure there is wifi at the terminal although it might be busy when the ship comes in and this might mean it takes longer to get through. You’ll find the customs process is quite efficient and they should get through easily. Just a tip: I always pack any food items and anything made from wood or straw in a separate bag so they are easy to show to customs. That way you don’t have to unpack your bag. Hope this helps.

Anonymous

I’ve got to pick up some friends, and was planning to wait at DFO until I heard from them that they’d cleared customs. They don’t have an Aussie phone sim. Is there a public phone box at the cruise terminal? I have read there is no wifi available there.

Great idea! Unfortunately the cruise terminal is only open when a ship is there. Maybe time it around the next arrival or departure.

Hi Kerry – we went to check out the drop of loading zone yesterday (we have booked parking at Airpark) And want to drop people off but the gates were shut and we couldn’t lol around ?

Hi Peter, I suggest you contact the terminal directly on this one. Have a great cruise!

Peter

I have a disability permit. How long can I wait at the terminal pick-up point?

Hi Trevor, in my experience, no. My bags were scanned when boarding and I don’t believe alcohol is allowed. Different ships may have different regulations so best to check with the cruise line before boarding.

Trevor

Can alcohol be taken onto a cruise ship? Like a bottle of liqueur?

All too true! The location is dictated by the available access for large ships so it had to be Pinkenba but there’s so much that can be done to improve the terminal and access to the city. It’s a shame.

I’m so sorry that you had this poor experience at the port. Brisbane is a great place to visit and this new facility does not showcase it well. Despite multiple approaches and stories in the port’s lack of facilities, little has changed.

We were there last October, No transport, No Taxi’s, No food, No Nothing, so I sent a email to the Minister of Tourism, he did not have the decency to even reply with our suggestions. A waste of a port to visit.

AgentGerko

If you’re not a local the new terminal is rubbish. It’s in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by factories. It has no public transport and not enough parking, which is expensive anyway. No car rental depots within cooee and even the airport is not very convenient. Trying to get an Uber to collect you from the ship is very difficult. Compared to the previous wharf at Hamilton, which had car rentals, shopping, dining and a lovely ferry ride into the CBD, this terminal was a big waste of money. Look at Circular Quay, Station Pier Melbourne, Port Adelaide, Fremantle, all so much more accessible than Pinkenba.

Accessibility is another problem. Parking is totally booked out months in advance and there’s no public transport.

Dianne

We have sailed once from Pinkenba. It is better than the previous cattle market arrangement at Hamilton but requires a food outlet for, at least, snacks

cathy MCARTHUR

sounds like a big white elephant i will not be traveling to brisbane for any more cruises did it once driver in taxi from Roma street didnt know were it was, should have learnt my lesson but decided to try again with new terminal wrong all i read are bad reports COMMING by train from Sydney no proper way to get there but expensive cab ride [hate flying ] WOULD SEEM CANT EVEN GET A CUP OF COFFEE ,please Brisbane and p o get your bloody act together ,

The closest train station would be at the Brisbane International Airport. The best access between the airport and cruise terminal would be via taxi or ride share. There is no public transport option.

What’s the nearest train station to the terminal

I’ve just finished a cruise on Majestic Princess and loved it! There are no eating places at the port apart from the coffee van, but it’s not far to walk out and meet family in the car park. Unless the ship is providing a shuttle service, there’s no public transport available. You can book a ride share or take a taxi from the ranks. The closest place for cafes and restaurants is Portside at Hamilton. There are plenty of nice places to eat there. You can also try Racecourse Road, which is just a little further. It’s about a 20-minute drive. Another place would be the DFO Shopping Centre, with a range of eateries. It’s about 16 minutes away from the port.

Malcolm Beatty

We will be arriving on the Majestic Princess on 9th March. Will there be any eating places open apart from the coffee van. How far to walk from the ship out of the port to the visitors car park to meet family. Is there a shuttle service to the city .

I’m flying in, so won’t be parking there ‍

If there is no delay in the ship’s arrival, I have heard that the system works quite well, so don’t be too worried. If you find a long queue, go to the administration desk at the front of the terminal and ask for assistance. I would expect they will provide help for anyone using a walker. I hope you have a great cruise.

Anonymous

Is it any better now in january for someone with a wheelie walker please

That was my experience. The ship was late because of a medical emergency. These don’t often happen, thank goodness, but you would think there could be a better plan for this occurrence. The road there is not pretty, and no public transport or even enough parking is a big fail. Don’t even start me on the coffee/drink situation.

Elvis Leahy

So, in summary then: a modern multi-million dollar badly designed, user unfriendly, public transport disaster (like the Gabba), white elephant then. Lets all struggle to reach it, then stand in the hot sun without food or drink for hours while they sort the basic loading procedures out. What a brilliant first impression for any incoming travellers, and locals alike. Brought to you by your own tax funded Govt.

Would you need the wheelchair onboard the ship or in Brisbane? I’d suggest contacting short-term wheelchair hire places in Brisbane as a start.

Allison

Any idea how I can get a wheelchair at the terminal for a 2 week hire for my Mum please? Thanks in advance for any help!

It’s all very random at the moment. Even the roads getting there need attention. My best tip is to book your parking when you book your cruise. Cruising is here to stay now and that might encourage more people to offer options. There’s certainly a business opportunity there.

Vicki

Do u think there will be more options on getting to the terminal in nov….seems pretty expensive at the moment.. I tried con-x-sions, but there times done suit…. Bit silly…u would think when cruise ships are in, someone would have a shuttle service running continuely, as a responsible price…‍

There’s a drop off pick up area outside the terminal were you can collect your friends. I’d suggest they call you when they are in the terminal and then you come to the pick up area as you only have a two minute window. It’s like picking up people from the airport.

Jennie

How do you pick up friends from a cruise for a few hours while the ship is docked. How can we pick them up?

Transfers / shuttles to new Brisbane cruise terminal

Cool Cruiser

Does anyone know if there are companies providing transfers from Brisbane (not the airport, we live in Brisbane) to the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal? I can't find anything on the Princess website so assume that is not something they offer. I checked Con-X-ion, a shuttle company, and they don't seem to offer that route either. A taxi is the obvious solution but will be pricey. Anyone know of other options? Thanks.

I believe the only shuttles available from the new terminal are those operated by Princess and going to the airport. Depending where you live, it might work out more convenient and OK cost-wise compared with a taxi, if you park at the terminal. We paid $128.44 for undercover parking for seven days. It isn't inside a building, just under large frames that home solar panels. Open air parking is under $100. For us this was less than half the price of two lots of taxi fares.

arxcards

Ring Princess. They are doing shuttles into Anne St, Brisbane for those doing B2B cruises, so it might be possible to book onto something.

A bit left field with a couple of ideas:

A river cat to Northshore and a cab from there.

A shuttle to the airport and a cab from there.

Suggest to a friend that they really need to get a close look at the cruise ship, and get them to drop you off.

We are staying a pre-cruise night in the Portside complex, and the cab fare from there seems reasonable enough to us.

It was about $38 from Northshore to the BICT by taxi and $34 in reverse.

I am sure Con X ion will provide a transfer service, as the did for both Fisherman's Island and for Portside.

Thanks. We can't park at the terminal as the cruise finishes in Sydney, so we fly home. Good to know this info for any future cruises.

I don't really want to ring Princess, bearing in mind my previous calls. Was left feeling really annoyed. Thanks for your thoughts. A CityCat to Northshore or even Brett's Wharf, isn't a bad idea, if they are running. About half the ferry terminals and routes still aren't in operation, after the February floods.

Good to know, thanks. I did wonder if that narrow road gets choked with traffic when a ship is in.

I'm not sure at all, as I tried a dummy booking yesterday and their website wouldn't accept it. Also tried contacting them to ask if they are doing transfers to BICT and got no reply.

The road to the terminal doesn't get choked with traffic, although there is a steady stream of traffic - not enough to slow it down though.

It appears that Andrews Airport Parking is offering 'cruise' parking that presumably includes a transfer to the cruise terminal. It could be worth checking out.

I believe the only citycat terminal east of Riverside that is not running is Sydney Street.

Hi, I'm not sure if this is any help, but when the terminal first opened I put in the address as destination (1 Cruise Terminal Drive etc) and it wouldn't accept it. However if I put in "Brisbane International Cruise Terminal", it accepts it (for ride from Brisbane Airport). Timings of their runs weren't ideal for us so we will get a taxi anyway 🙂

Have the same problem with transport to the Brisbane Terminal. Good news, Andrews Parking Nundah are offering a shuttle to the Cruise Terminal and the booking may be done online. The options are Cruise in/out Brisbane, Cruise out Fly in, and Fly in Cruise out. For a 2 week car stay, drop off at the Cruise terminal and pick up at Bne Airport, cost $180.  Apart from the cost, only other disadvantage is that you cannot nominate the time you would like the Ship shuttle. Andrews will advise the shuttle times 48 hrs from sail date.

Portside Parking also operate shuttle buses to the cruise terminal and to the airport so would suit someone who has a trip that requires a combo (cruise terminal + airport). Compare prices. Portside have continuous shuttles running to the cruise terminal on days a ship is in port.

Reading their site a few days ago to see what was in the wind for their new facility. Turns out nothing.

They have also announced they are no longer doing airport shuttles, due to the expense of operating long hours, 7 days.

OK. So Portside Parking isn't an option if a person's trip requires a shuttle to or from the airport. Maybe their new facility wouldn't be economic until there are more cruise ships operating out of the new Brisbane terminal and even then they will have to compete with Wilsons who are operating at the terminal.

A pity that covid destroyed their whole business model, so it looks like back to basics from their Hamilton facility for quite some time into the future. The new facility is still up for sale, and quite possible they still have money tied up in the property they can't afford to develop. A shame all round.

Thanks for the tip on Andrews Airport Parking. As mentioned above, they do cruise/airport/parking combinations, such as cruising one way and flying home. They have the cruise details on their website so you can pick your ship and embarkation date (or arrival date). There is the choice of undercover or outdoor parking. This is good to know but we may still get a cab, will have to check costs.

Is anyone aware of any local motels that offer a shuttle to the new Brisbane cruise terminal?

I will also phone Andrews Parking for a quote for my next fly-out/cruise-back Coral Princess as they have incorrect dates on their website so can't get an online quote.

I am aware that at least some of the Hamilton hotels that offered a free shuttle to Portside are going to continue this with the new terminal. I expect it might be a little bit more restricted due to the extra time it will take.

Airolodge was one, and I can't recall the other one I read. They are also a good option for car storage, so you can park, stay the night, get a shuttle to the terminal and leave your car parked there for a fee. Their current details on their site:

Use Andrews Parking or similar for your car. They will drop you to the port. On arrival back in Brisbane they will pick you up from the Airport.

Moscow cruise port

Region Russia Rivers

Local Time 2024-03-28 04:05

Moscow is a Volga River cruise port, Russia's capital and largest city (population over 12,2 million, metro 17 million). Moscow City covers a total area of approx 2610 km 2 (970 mi2). By population, the city is ranked the world's 14th largest. Moscow is one of the Russian Federation's all 3 federal cities - together with St Petersburg and Sevastopol .

Being Russian Federation's capital, Moscow is a major economic, political, scientific and cultural center, as well as Europe's biggest city.

According to Forbes 2013, Moscow has been ranked as the 9th most expensive city in the world by Mercer and has one of the largest urban economies, being ranked as an alpha global city according to Globalization and World Cities Research Network. It is also one of the fastest-growing tourist destinations in the world according to MasterCard Global Destination Cities Index. Moscow is the northernmost and the coldest megacity and metropolis on the Earth. It's home to Ostankino Tower, the tallest free-standing European structure; the Federation Tower, the tallest European skyscraper; and the Moscow International Business Center.

Moscow is situated on Moskva River in the Central Federal District of European Russia, which makes it the most populated inland city in the world. Moscow city is well known for architecture, particularly its historic buildings like Saint Basil's Cathedral. With over 40% of its territory covered by greenery, it's one of the greenest capitals and major cities in Europe and the world. Moscow is the seat of power of the Russian Government, being the site of Moscow Kremlin, a medieval city-fortress that is now the residence of the President of Russia. Moscow Kremlin and Red Square are among the several World Heritage Sites in the city.

Moscow has 2 passenger terminals, North River Terminal (Rechnoy vokzal) and South River Terminal. The regular ship routes and cruises along Moskva and Oka rivers are used mostly for entertainment. North River Terminal (1937-built) is currently the main hub for long-range routes along the river. There are 3 freight ports that serve Moscow.

In late-July 2021 the city announced plans to incorporate a fleet (unspecified number) of fully electric passenger ferries into its public transportation network from summer 2022, the goal being to reduce the dependence on cars.

  • The boats are designed with length ~22 m (72 ft), passenger capacity 42, modern amenities (Wi-Fi, USB charging points, tables for working commuters), spaces for storing scooters and bicycles.
  • Moscow Transport confirmed that two routes (with max daily capacity ~16,000 passengers) have already been mapped out.
  • Passengers will be able to pay via bank cards, the city’s Troika card (smart card for travel by any public transportation) or biometric payment cards. Those with monthly/yearly public transit tickets will use the boats at no extra cost.
  • The new electric ferry service is up to 5 times faster (in comparison to other city public transports) and ~2 times faster than by car.

Moscow cruise terminal

Moscow's cruise terminal is called North River Terminal or River Station  ("Rechnoy Vokzal" / "речной вокзал").

The terminal was opened in 1937 and is one of 2 passenger terminals (the other being South River Terminal) of the city's river transport. North River Terminal is the main hub for long-range (including cruise) shipping routes.

South River Terminal (above photo) was opened in 1985.

The additional optional tours were also good, we did the Metro tour which I highly recommend, we also paid for the Kremlin tour. The hop on hop off has three different lines all included. Only fault was the bus was sometimes full and you had to wait for the next one which was about 15 minutes (in the cold). Read more Written January 6, 2020

They suggested we do the 1 hour boat trip and said they would drop us to the dock. 1) they dropped us in the wrong place 2) they were lost because of the marathon Then the boat, after we finally found it: 1) stinking fumes, actually gagging 2) no commentary, in fact, no interaction unless you begged 3) offered us 2 for 1 icecreams as they had melted and refrozen as the fridge gets turned off at night Honestly, we enjoyed the afternoon in the boat but spent all of it laughing at just how awful it was!!! • niruDurbs 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Not the best value for the price The ticket is quite expensive and covers three different routes in a 24 hour period. The red route is quite exciting and takes about an hour. The bus comes every 10 to 15 minutes. However the other two routes take about two hours each and buses come every 30 to 40 minute period. If the bus is full then you have to wait at the stop for the next bus. So personally I feel that not much can be seen this way. I definitely was not impressed. The boat element was wonderful, we saw some amazing parts of Moscow along the river side. The bus element was very disappointing as it only started at 10am and was finished by 6:30pm. It was extremely warm when we were there and it would have been great to do the tour in the cool of the day. There was also no air conditioning in the down stairs part of the bus. • WilliamDyer 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Poor service on boat and too many waiting times on buses For the price, you should expect at minimum English speaking tour guides with decent experience, but at least in my case that did not happen both in buses and boats. And in the boat even tough we were 90% English speaking tourist at least, the tour guide spoke 95% of the time in Russia, and only 3 sentences in English, I really counted how many times she spoke in English. And at the end she asks us if we have any questions? Of course I told her I couldn’t ask her anything since I didn’t understand 95% of what she was saying. The boat tour is not worth it, just take the bus that would be my advice. Second minus is the waiting times, in the boat they made us wait an hour before it departed, and in many stops with the buses waiting times of 20-30 minutes. I actually think I lost that day around 2 hours doing nothing. Be careful. Read more Written July 10, 2018
