We were very pleased

We were very pleased. Both the quality of the bus and the service were excellent. I wish Mr. G was on every tour. We will truly miss him. He did not cause us any difficulties and solved every problem we had.

Captivating ChrisTours

Team Building event for our company. 20 staff and 5 days across Italy. Amazing Team Experience! Our driver Guiliano was an amazing asset to our trip and looked after us superbly. We cannot thank him enough for his extremely cheerful personality, unwavering assistance and “can do” attitude. He is ab absolute asset to the ChrisTours company.

Bus ride from Hell.

Booked a 30 seater bus to pick up 26 guests with suit cases At Rome airport and drive us to Sorrento for my daughters wedding. They were there when we arrived. The bus they sent was not capable to accommodate 26 people with suit cases. We had to put the suit cases in the middle of the seats. Also with 40 degree temperatures the air conditioner didn't work. The driver was a nice guy. He contacted his superiors (Who were very rude) to get another bus to meet us half way. They flatly refused. This was a 3 hour bus ride. This company is very unprofessional. There was no compensation offered . Nothing. Warning do not use them.

Giuliano at Chris Tour was an…

Giuliano at Chris Tour was an exceptional driver who went above and beyond for me and my students traveling to Italy. He was exceedingly kind and generous with us and his time, and continued to check in on us even after we had to switch drivers. He truly cares for those he is working with and puts so much passion into his job. I highly recommend Giuliano and Chris Tour.

Failed to deliver

I communicated with Chris Tours for many weeks starting in January 2022 about renting a minibus and guide for a group tour in July 2022. They promised a contract but never sent one. They misrepresented every single detail: availability, pricing, included services, etc. In the end, they never delivered on the promised agreement. I still have all the communications.

I would NOT reccomend this company. So many issues. Late almost everyday. No response several times when 43 of us were waiting for 2 hours to be picked up from set place/time during Almafi coast tour. Even at quick bathroom breaks..the driver would go missing for 30 minutes when it was a 10 min stop.

We heard every excuse. "We got pulled over" "there was an accident" "we will be there in 5" (all lies)

Huge mistake hiring this company.

Would NOT recommend this company.

Issue after issue.

Late everyday. False promises. Tons of excuses.

Terrible experience

How was Chris Tour service? can you please share with us?

Hi, I never used them because I was skeptical and have not had any feedback from anyone. Could not take that chance as I had a group of 46 clients with me.

Did you use them?

Fees start at 90 euros (about $98) for adults and 70 euros (about $76) for kids and teens ages 2 to 14. (There's no charge for infants.) Additional food and wine tours, as well as cooking classes, are hosted by Delicious Bologna.

Streaty Street Food Tours of Italy – Palermo Street Food and Local Market Tour

Price: Adults from 54 euros (about $59); kids from 20 euros (about $22) Duration: 3 hours

Savor varieties of Sicilian fare on this walking tour of Sicily 's capital, Palermo. Samples are likely to include arancina (stuffed rice balls), cazzilli fritters, pani câ meusa (a veal offal roll), sfincione (focaccia with tomato sauce), cannoli filled with ricotta, broscia col gelato (an ice cream sandwich) and seasonal items, as well as beer and wine. After departing from Teatro Massimo, tours wind through backstreets rather than the city's main thoroughfares. Travelers typically find this tour both fun and educational.

Walks last three hours and are available at multiple times Monday through Saturday all year, usually starting between 10 and 11 a.m. Prices start at 54 euros (about $59) for participants ages 12 and older and 20 euros (about $22) for children 6 to 11. Groups are limited to 10 participants. The company also offers an evening food tour in Palermo.

Etna Tribe – Excursion Etna and Taormina

Price: Adults from 85 euros (about $93); kids from 70 euros (about $76) Duration: 9 hours

Explore Mount Etna , an active volcano on the east coast of Sicily that ranks as the highest island mountain in the Mediterranean, on this daylong tour. Your guide will drive you from Catania to a section on Etna's south face where you'll hike up to 6,560 feet above sea level, or (for additional fees) take a cable car up to 8,200 feet. From there, you'll have the option of taking a van to Torre del Filosofo, which sits at an elevation of more than 9,500 feet. With an alpine guide leading the way, you'll explore the lava-carved terrain. The trip also includes a stop at an organic farm and a visit to the town of Taormina, where you'll have time to wander among attractions, such as a cathedral, a clock tower, a palace and a theater, before the drive back to Catania. Tour-takers enjoy walking among the volcano craters and learning about the area from the friendly, accommodating guides.

Pickup starts at 8:30 a.m. and tours, which occur daily, last approximately nine hours. Prices start at 85 euros (about $93) for those 12 and older, 70 euros (about $76) for kids ages 3 to 11 and 20 euros (about $22) for infants. Paying online in advance may save you a few euros per ticket. The optional cable car ride costs an additional 50 euros (about $55) and the high-altitude option, including both the cable car and the van rides, start at 78 euros (about $85) per person. Etna Tribe also offers sunset excursions to the mountain, among other options.

FAKE - Do not buy tours

There is no star to give (unfortunately one cannot write a review without giving a star) - DO NOT BOOK WITH SIGHTSEEING TOURS. My husband booked a trip to the Vatican on the internet. When arriving at the pick up point (27 March 2023) there was no-one to be found, no signs and when asking around (the various tourist offices at the same street) no one seemed to know anything about this company. We tried (several times) calling the number in an e-mail we had received (and is found on the 'website'). An answering machine said that someone would call back, followed by another voice saying that said the lines were not working. So, approx. 150 Euros lost.

Terrific Tuscany Tour!

My friends and I had a fantastic time on our Vespa Winery tour of the Chianti Hills in beautiful Tuscany. From the minute we met Claudia we found her to be engaging and knowledgeable and Michel was also amazing teaching all the first time Vespa riders how to handle their bikes. We rode through some of the most beautiful countryside and learnt a lot about the Tuscany Chianti Classico traditions. Thanks guys, you helped us make some amazing memories! From Maria (la napoletana), Bruno and their friends from Melbourne, Australia

Ciao Maria! We're so pleased you enjoyed the Tuscany Vespa tour, we'll be sure to pass on your kind words to Claudia. Buon viaggio!

My Colosseum and Forum was absolutely Amazing. I took this Tour with my wife and it turns out that we were the only one to join the tour. So, it became a private tour sort of speak. I can not help more to thank Valentina (the tour guide) for her dedication and enthusiasm of providing very interesting and detail elaborations of the origin and history of all these roman sites. She is also very welcome to provide you with restaurants and other tips in regards to Rome city.

Date of experience : January 22, 2019

Ciao M sab, Thanks for the kind words. We'll be sure to pass on your positive feedback to Valentina. A presto, Sightseeing Tours Italy

The guides where very knowledgeable but…

The guides where very knowledgeable but the Vatican museum was too busy. It was hard to enjoy the tour. After a while it feels claustrophobic. Long from a holy place, very touristic. It should be with programmed slots of people in. The Colosseum and Roman Forum was great. But yet, it was built for big human capacity.

Date of experience : April 22, 2019

Ciao Aura, Thank you for your feedback. I'm pleased to hear you enjoyed the tour. I understand that the Vatican can be busy and overwhelming for some people, however I'm sure you appreciate this is the responsibility of the Vatican and not something we have any control over. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay in Rome.

Fabulous experience

We were so pleased that we had booked this tour! Everything went like clockwork, our tour guide Priscilla was amazing, so knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. She made the trip so interesting and we learned so much. The head phones were invaluable in hearing amongst so many people, even in a small group - there were 6 of us. We would really recommend a guide for the Vatican as it would have been totally overwhelming without one and so much of our day would have been spent queuing. Thank you Priscilla and Sightseeing Tours Italy. Helen and Chris

The tour guide was excellent and if it was not for her help , we would have missed the tour as our booking was not correctly recorded. The one star is only for the way the booking was handled. Again thanks for the guide from Calabria, if not mistaken Isabella.

Discovery of Sicily - 8 Days

I had the entirely wrong perception of what the tour would be like, having been on SIX “small group” tours in Italy before. All those tours were with the leader who was with the group in the same hotel all the time. We were driven around in a mini bus with local guides here and there. So you shared the experience with the same people over the week or so, and the leader told you what would be happening each day. So I found being on my own quite lonely. I didn’t want private tours and private drivers and being in hotels by myself.Whether I made assumptions based on past experience, or whether that wasn’t clearly described in your tour notes, a bit of both, probably. I also found it very stressful not knowing about the pick-up until the day before and having to find my way to the meeting point in Palermo when I had been expecting to be picked up with other members of the group. That was all very disappointing for me. There was no-one to share the “Wow!” factor with. I give the 4 stars for the hotels and the guides, not for the organisation matters.

Best of Apulia region - 9 days (Small Group) Tour

Best of Apulia region - 9 days (Small Group)

The destinations and hotel accomodations were excellent. We did this trip during the late May and early June timeframe. Our tour was promoted as a 14 person max tour which was not exactly true. There were 2 groups of people split by English Speaking and Spanish Speaking. There were 2 seperate groups but touring the same places, hotels and restuarants. More people then to deal with and figure out logistics and wait time. Overall fairly smooth but room for improvement by decreasing wait time staying on schedule. The tour left a little late each morning so we had less time to see the sights and our free time to explore on our own. Our guides English comprehension was limited and difficult to understand the English with her heavy Italy accent. The tour would be much better just having a group of 20 or less and a better guide that could explain the sights better.

Grand Journey of Italy - 11 Days Tour

Grand Journey of Italy - 11 Days

The tour was well organized. The transfers, hotel arrangements, everything was seamless. The tour delivered on every promise and the information given befor the tour matched the experience. It hit all of the highlights. All of the local guides were very knowledable. We are very satisfied with the value and the vacation was everything we wanted.

Magical Sicily - 7 Days Tour

Magical Sicily - 7 Days

I would not consider this a seven day trip, barely a six day. Our tour leader was excellent, especially as she had to do the tour in English, and in Spanish. I think a lot of time was wasted with translation. One of the hotels was not even three star. A lot of camaraderie was lost due to the language barrier. Many times we felt rushed through our tours, and some days we had too much lag time. All in all it was a good tour. It was just by luck that we found a wonderful board walk and a charming town along the beach at our last stay near Taormina. No one told us about it making us wonder how many other places near our hotels we might have missed.

Italy City Break - 5 Days Tour

Italy City Break - 5 Days

Overall, great tour. However, at some points we were left in the middle of nowhere and were asked to find our way back to the hotel. As example, we were asked to find our way from Venice center to our hotel. Several people got lost and went through too many changes to find the hotel. The lunch and dinner were low quality and could be improved.

Discovery of Italy - 8 Days

The sites selected were outstanding. We appreciated the combination of guided tours and explore in your own options. Nancy, our tour leader was wonderful. Very friendly and enthusiastic. We felt she truly wanted us to have a great trip. Our driver, Franco was also excellent. His driving skills in some very difficult conditions were amazing. The bus was roomy and comfurtsble

Best of Sicily - 8 Days (Small Group Tour) Tour

Best of Sicily - 8 Days (Small Group Tour)

Excellent company guides (Vallerio, Denise, Antonio & transfer driver Sam) & local specialist guides Daniele (temple valley).& Maria-Lucia (Palermo city). They were all passionate & knowledgeable, throwing in fun or interesting general information that we found interesting. Hotel quality was good and locations great so we could easily do a short walk into the main city/old town for shops/restaurants. It’s not a typical type of tour set up like traditional tour companies ie you are not in a std group with one guide for the tour duration - it works ok (this is not a complaint) , it’s just different if you had other expectations and is not spelled out in the tour information. But once you figure out how it will work then it’s all good and runs very smoothly. In Taormina other members of the public can do day tours activities and they join the core group temporarily. There is a different guide/driver each day…..the guide on the day tells you who will be you guide meeting you the next day. It was a pleasurable tour to get an overview of sicly and it’s very complex history.

Journey of Rome, Sorrento & Amalfi Coast - 7 days

Trip was good. Stayed in great locations and the hotels were very nice. Only issue we had was the ticket/voucher for the Amalfi coast tour had a departure point from a different hotel than we were staying, so there was some confusion trying to locate the guide. Other than that the trip was very smooth.

Magical Italy - 12 Days Tour

Magical Italy - 12 Days

Being my first time in Italy, I highly recommend the Magical Italy tour. It was incredible experience to see major points of interest in Rome, Assisi, Siena, Florence, Bologna, Padua, Venice, Tuscany, Montepulciano, Vatican City, Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri. We’re lucky to have great local guides. Excellent service! Well organized.

Overall our tour was wonderful. We had a great time. Denise, especially was a very good guide, very knowledgable and personable. The cooking class and our Palermo Street Food tour was, probably my favorites. A few areas that could have been improved upon: - A little more communication prior to the tour would have been reassuring. In this day of fraud it is a little unnerving to send all that money into the internet and not get much of a response. - The final communication, our itinerary, was a definite problem. We were told by Tour Radar that we would receive it 10-14 days before we left. The tour operator (ClickTours/Mossimo) told us we would receive it 8 days before we left. I finally called Tour Radar 6 days before we left
Nicole was a fabulous tour guide and all the places we visited and the sites we saw were fantastic
