Safari Park

 was beyond my expectation. there are no words to justify my experience over there, i went there with my family my mother siblings and their kids, we enjoyed a lot the environment and the way staff is treating visitors is just marvelous., my niece and nephews enjoyed a lot at the fun area and safari, while my mother enjoyed the view of newly added 'Kashmir Point' it is as beautiful as Kashmir. The 200 ft. high water fall is creating really beautiful effect on the lake where it is falling the ducks, swans and pelican were adding more beauty to it. We took home cooked food, beverage disposable bottles chips and other items, the GOOD PART is no one stopped us to take things inside but ask us to maintain cleanliness inside. I really thank every single person who played their part in maintain all this at very low rate.

Karachi Gets First-Ever Zipline at Safari Park

In a noteworthy development for Karachi’s recreational offerings, Mayor Murtaza Wahab officially opened the city’s ‘first’ zipline at Safari Park on Sunday, as reported by ARY News.

Mayor Wahab not only inaugurated the zipline but also personally took part in the exhilarating ride, accompanied by Deputy Mayor Salman Murad. Addressing the media during the event, Wahab expressed his belief that the zipline would emerge as a unique and exciting attraction for the residents of Karachi.

While sharing his vision for additional recreational spots within the city, Wahab acknowledged that financial constraints were causing delays in several ongoing projects. Deputy Mayor Murad, speaking at the ceremony, highlighted various development initiatives spanning all seven districts of Karachi and announced plans to introduce horse riding at Dino Safari Park in the near future.

It’s worth noting that earlier in August of this year, Mayor Karachi inaugurated the newly-developed dinosaur park in Safari Park, and he has indicated that the zipline project will soon become operational in the park.

It’s important to mention that the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) had announced last year its intention to launch a zipline at Karachi’s Bagh Ibne Qasim, located near the city’s Clifton coastline. This announcement was made by the then City Administrator Barrister Murtaza Wahab, who currently serves as the Mayor of Karachi. However, the zipline is still pending installation at Bagh Ibne Qasim.

The finishing work is reached to completion and within a few weeks Bahria Day and Night Zoo (DanZoo) wil be open for public. However, Bahria Town Karachi has not given a tentative date for inauguration of Day & Night Safari.

Bahria DanZoo (Day and Night Zoo) will be wonderful entertainment opportunity to see their favorite animals and birds so close. The boards containing information about its tickets and timings are hinting that it is all set to open anytime soon. There are two categories for Bahria Danzoo ticket pricing whereas entry is free for children less than 4 years of age.

After the recent opening of the Dino Safari Park , Mayor Murtaza Wahab pointed out the city’s rapid development in recreational parks and activity areas. He also emphasised the historical importance of the first zipline experience for Karachites.

The Mayor further spoke about 7 more upcoming projects by the government for the people of Karachi.

He also added that a horse-riding facility would soon be provided to citizens at the same family park soon and a canteen is currently being constructed.

Located in Gulshan Iqbal, this park consists of a zoo, a children’s playland, and many gardens. Located on University Road, this park with an area of 1300 hectares was inaugurated by Lieutenant General (R) Aqiqur Rehman in 1970. A theme park named Goaish Ad Venture has also been built here. Safari Park also has the honor of being the only park in Sindh province with a chairlift. The project, completed at the cost of two million dollars, was inaugurated on March 8, 2006. A thrilling 10-minute chairlift ride will take you over the park’s lake and give you a bird’s-eye view of the city.
