But it has more levels than the others. In recent years, four other floors have been unearthed, and some chapels, wineries, kitchens stalls have also been discovered.

Pigeon Valley: one of the panoramic spots of Cappadocia, which is located between Uchisar and Goreme. Since ancient times, there has been feeding the pigeons resulting in the carved soft tuff on the slopes to make dovecotes. You can also see Uchisar Castle from a different perspective and may feed the pigeons around you.

After the Cappadocia sightseeing tour, we drive back to the hotel. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 6 – Konya Tour & Transfer to Pamukkale We pick you up from the hotel after breakfast and check-out, then drive to Konya. Our first stop is Sultanhanı Karavansarai which the Seljuks built in 12C AD. The ancient travelers and the merchants used to stay at those ancient hotels safely. After the break, we drive to Konya Mevlana/Rumi Museum; the Islamic philosopher, theologian, and poet Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi was born in 1207 Khorassan. The meaning of Mevlana is “our master and president” and implies the love of people for him. Although he lived in Konya, also went to Damascus and Tebriz, he attended different scholars’ lectures. Mevlana is known as the founder of Mesnevi and the leaders of the Dervishes. After his death, they built a tomb in 1274 where the other dervishes are also buried. The Mausoleum consists of a library, madrasah, kitchen, graves, and rooms of dervishes. After lunch, we drive to Pamukkale.

After the Konya sightseeing tour, drive back to the hotel. Overnight in Pamukkale.

Day 7 – Pamukkale Tour We pick you up from the hotel and drive to Pamukkale or Cotton Castle, one of Turkey’s most popular and beautiful spots. The town is located in Denizli province, southern Turkey. Pamukkale has hot springs that have come from underground for 14,000 years. The hot springs color the slopes in white because the water consists of calcium and carbonate. This site not only attracts tourists, but many people visit Pamukkale with Doctors’ advice. The spring water is good for the skin and bones. It is believed that Cleopatra and Marcus Antonio also came to Pamukkale and swam in the ancient pool together.

Pamukkale also has an ancient city which is called Hierapolis. This city was founded by the Pergamon king Eumenes in 2 BCE. When the city passed to the Romans, they built ancient theatres, baths, forums, agora, and many waterways. Hierapolis has the largest ancient cemetery of all time. After the apostle Philipe was martyred in 80 CE, the city became a pilgrimage center for Christianity. Today, apostle Philipe has a monumental tomb in Hierapolis/Pamukkale.

After the Pamukkale sightseeing tour, we will drive back to the hotel. Overnight in Pamukkale.

Day 8 – Drive to Kusadasi/ Ephesus Tour After breakfast, we pick you up from the hotel. We will drive to Selçuk town, where Ephesus is located.

Visit Virgin Mary’s House, upon German nun Anna Katherina Emerich’s dream, the Lazarist priests followed the descriptions and the signs then discovered the house 1891 CE. According to Catholic belief, Mary was taken here by St. John, and she spent the rest of her earthly life there. After the Virgin Mary’s House, we proceed to Ephesus Ancient City, the capital city of Asia Minor during the Roman era. According to myth, Ephesus was founded by Greek commander Androculos around 1,000 BCE. Moreover, Alexander the Great, Lysimachus, Coressus, Antiochus II either invaded or ruled in this city. While the excavations are still going on, you will see the ancient remains such as State Agora (a marketplace and meeting point), Odeon (Bouleuterion) concert house and council, Town Hall and Artemis Sanctuary, Domitian Square, a complex consisting of temple fountain and a bath, Curetes Street colonnaded and monumental Street in Ephesus, The Hadrian Temple dedicated to Emperor Hadrian dating to 200 BCE, Latrines the public toilets, Celsus Library proves us that how Ephesians were intellectual and dates back to 200 BCE with the library having had 12,000 scrolls, Forum a commercial center located by the port and finally The Great Theater the largest ancient theater with 25,000 capacity.

After Ephesus ancient city, we drive to lunch at a local restaurant, and thereafter, the next stop is Isa Bey Mosque, built-in 1375 by the Anatolian Seljuks. Unlike Modern Ottoman architecture, it has a geometrical architecture roof and two minarets. The mosque is still functioning today for the five-time prayers. After Isa Bey Mosque, we drive to the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven ancient wonders of the World.

After the Ephesus sightseeing tour, drive back to the hotel. Overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 9 – Izmir/Smyrna Tour We pick you up from the hotel and drive to Izmir where situated on Turkey’s western coast, known as the Pearl of Aegean. The history dates back to the archaic era of 3,000 BC. The Greek colonists settled at Izmir (Symrna) before the and second millennium. Homer, the Iliad writer, was born in İzmir, and Strabo spent his years in this city. When Alexander the Great came from Sardis to Smyrna, he rested after hunting by the Mount Pagos (Kadife Kale). When the Pergamon ruled most of the Aegean coats, Smyrnaeans resisted their hegemony for years. Eventually, after the Romans inherited the Pergoman Kingdom, Smyrna passed under the Roman Empire’s control in 133 AD.

With the growth of Christianity in the First Century, Smyrna was mentioned by St. John in the Book of Revelations as one of the seven churches of Asia. The first bishop Polycarp became a martyr in 155 AD when he was 86, and he was ordained and installed by St. John in Izmir (Symrna).

Today, Izmir is the 3rd biggest city in Turkey. Turkey Travel Guide

Best time to visit turkey.

Turkey tours packages are best sellers all year long especially the Turkey honeymoon packages. The best time to visit Turkey depends on one’s interest. The summer months between June to September are too hot with the temperature rising above 30° C. Visiting Turkey in the summers will be good to be by the sea or staying in the pool. But visiting cities and discovering cultures will be too uncomfortable.

Thus in our opinion the best time to visit Turkey is in the shoulder season between April to May and September to October and thats the most popular time to book a tour to Turkey from pakistan.

These months are presently warm with the temperature staying between 20°C to 30°C. It is the ideal time to visit with mild weather for discovering historical sites, mild comfortable temperatures, local life experiences, and unique aesthetic nature. Turkey packages are booked quickly in this season as the turkey trip cost from pakistan is high otherwise.

Turks are famously known for their friendliness and hospitality. The villages of Turkey are very traditional and modest, whereas if you look at the large cities such as Istanbul, they are a unique blend of European and oriental influences of other subcontinents. Most of Turkey’s population is Muslim and 78% belong to the Sunni branch of Islam. Religious events such as Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, and Eid-ul-Adha are widely and festively celebrated.

Turkish culture has developed a unique mixture of many cultures from Asia, Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East. The travelers will not only discover plenty of mosques, hammams, and Turkish coffee shops in Turkey. but also nightclubs, bars, and modern stores of all kinds. A city full of incredible mosques, ancient Ionic cities named after Alexander the Great, and thousand-year-old Roman ruins, you’ll see cities carved underground by the early Christians, and yes!! Most-amazing cultural adventure is looking forward to you.

All You Need to Know About Travelling to Turkey from Pakistan

Home » Tourism » All You Need to Know About Travelling to Turkey from Pakistan

Have you been thinking about travelling to Turkey from Pakistan but don’t know where to begin? If so, this comprehensive guide is meant just for you.

There’s a reason why Turkey has always been one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Straddling Eastern Europe and Eastern Asia, this culturally-rich nation has seen numerous empires rise and fall. In fact, the history of this region can be traced back to the prehistoric era, some 5 million years ago.

From the Hellenistic period to the modern-day Republic of Turkey, this region has been built and destroyed and then built again throughout centuries – the remnants of which can be seen across the country in the form of various landmarks. Apart from architectural marvels such as Hagia Sophia and millennium-old ruins such as the monasteries in the Goreme Open Air Museum, Turkey also boasts a stunning landscape and the most incredible beaches.

There is no shortage of reasons why you should include travelling to Turkey in your bucket list. However, if you are having a hard time figuring out how to apply for a visa or create an itinerary, here’s all that you need to know in order to plan a trip to Turkey from Pakistan.

There are three most popular ways to get around Turkey: by an aeroplane, by a bus or a car. Not a lot of people use trains in the country. However, you’ll have to take a ferry if you plan on visiting any of the beautiful islands in the country.

A number of local carriers offer domestic flights at very affordable rates. Meanwhile, for those who love road trips or want to enjoy the scenery, hiring a driver and renting a car appear to be more feasible options. Most of these buses are quite luxurious and even provide passengers with WiFi, tea, coffee and snacks along the way.

As for intra-city travel, public buses and trams are much more budget-friendly than taxis and private ride-hailing services.

Where to Stay in Turkey

places to stay in Istanbul

Here are some of the most popular neighbourhoods where you can stay during your trip to Turkey.

Two of the most tourist-friendly areas to stay in Istanbul are Beyoğlu on the European side of the river and Sultanahmet on the Asian side. Given their proximity to important attractions and markets, the hotels in these areas might charge a little more. However, you’ll save quite a lot of money on buses and cabs if you choose to stay here during your trip to Turkey from Pakistan.

Furthermore, Beyoğlu houses the popular Istiklal Street, a haven for shoppers, while Sultanahmet is close to the Grand Bazaar, the biggest covered market in the city.

Depending on your budget, you can either decide to book a hotel in Old Town or the Lara neighbourhood.

While the Old Town district boasts some of the most historic monuments in the city along with sprawling markets and bust streets, Lara is home to five and seven-star hotels close to the ocean. Moreover, it’s also pretty close to the Antalya Airport and Mall of Antalya.

The two most popular neighbourhoods in Ankara include Ulus and Kizilay.

While Ulus is the best choice for budget travellers who want to stay close to the commercial centre, Kizilay is a trendy and upscale neighbourhood housing a number of boutiques, restaurants and cafes. Regardless of which of these two areas you select, you won’t have a hard time finding a place to shop during your trip to Turkey.

Cappadocia has a large number of cave hotels that will transport you to the Stone Age – but with all the modern amenities, of course.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Cappadocia, browse through the hotels situated in Goreme and Urgup. Both of these towns offer beautiful views along with a range of hotels, market areas, boutiques, souvenir shops, restaurants and cafes, to name a few. Furthermore, most of the tour companies are also based out in these areas.

So, there you go. Whenever you sit down to plan your trip to Turkey from Pakistan, don’t forget to take these suggestions into account. Moreover, make sure to visit at least some of the tourist attractions listed above during your time there.

Bracewell Back From Injury To Captain New Zealand On Pakistan Tour

  • Order Reprints
  • Print Article

Michael Bracewell will captain New Zealand for the first time on their Twenty20 tour of Pakistan this month, with a host of top names missing because they are playing in the Indian Premier League.

Pakistan host New Zealand for five Twenty20 internationals, starting in Rawalpindi on April 18, as both teams warm up for June's T20 World Cup in the United States and the West Indies.

All-rounder Bracewell was named captain Wednesday on his return from more than a year out with a ruptured Achilles and broken finger in the absence of regular skipper Kane Williamson, who is playing for Gujarat Titans in the IPL.

The 33-year-old said that being informed he would captain New Zealand had capped a "golden three days" last month when he also took eight wickets for his club Wellington and had a hole-in-one playing golf.

"It's three days that I'll never forget," Bracewell said.

"I'm very excited, it's a huge honour just to be picked again for New Zealand and then on top of that selected as captain. I wasn't expecting that."

IPL contracted players Trent Boult, Devon Conway, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Mitch Santner and Williamson are all missing.

New Zealand Test captain Tim Southee is being rested after a busy summer of cricket across all formats while Will Young, Tom Latham and Colin Munro are also unavailable.

Big-hitting batsman Tim Robinson and fast bowler Will O'Rourke received their first T20 squad call-ups.

"We have picked a squad with a lot of power and exciting bowling options," said New Zealand selector Sam Wells.

New Zealand won 4-1 in a home five-match Twenty20 series against Pakistan in January.

New Zealand squad:

Michael Bracewell (capt), Finn Allen, Mark Chapman, Josh Clarkson, Jacob Duffy, Dean Foxcroft, Ben Lister, Cole McConchie, Adam Milne, Jimmy Neesham, Will O'Rourke, Tim Robinson, Ben Sears, Tim Seifert, Ish Sodhi
