Mono Inc. goes in all-German Symphonic Tour 2024

Hamburg-based dark-rock band Mono Inc. just started their all-German ‘Symphonic Tour 2024’. In April and May 2024, the band will present classics and hits from their repertoire in a unique, classical arrangement in special locations (including some churches) in 17 German cities. This tour, which follows a popular one in 2019, is already close to being sold out. “Great melodies. Big emotions. Sensational moments.”

Interview With Martin Engler Of German Gothic Rock “Mono Inc.”

In 2000 Martin Engler (drummer, songwriter and producer), Carl Fornia (guitar) and Miky Mono (vocals) relaunched their previous band project as Mono Inc. From 1995 to 1997 the three had already played together in the band Wild Thing and then from 1998 to 2003, initially as a trio under the name Mono69, they went in search of their own special sound. In 2003 Manuel Antoni joined as bass player, completing the quartet, which is why the Monos call 2003 their founding year. Independently, they produced their debut album “Head Under Water” and submitted it to all major labels. They were rejected consistently. Since the band was unwilling to compromise its style for a coveted record deal, they decided in 2004 to set up their own independent label NoCut. The mechanisms of the music business were well known to Martin and Carl: Martin had professional experience as a songwriter and producer under contract with EMI for various interpreters since 1990 – Carl on the other hand because he gave up his mechanical engineering studies in 1993 to join a music management company in Hamburg.

At the beginning of 2022, Val Perun replaced Manuel Antoni on bass. Together with their new band member, MONO INC. made up for the long-awaited “The Book of Fire” tour in Spring 2022. Much to the fans’ delight, the single “The Raven’s Back” was released on June 17, 2022, which could hardly describe the feeling of regained freedom better. At the same time, the new, eagerly awaited studio album ‘Ravenblack’ was announced, which was released on January 27, 2023.

Ready for Mono Inc. going symphonic again?

Mono Inc. – Second Symphonic Chapter

If you are a fan of Dark and/or Gothic Metal, you have probably heard of Mono Inc. in the past and should have seen them on a festival or headline tour. Now Martin Engler, Katha Mia, Carl Fornia and Val Perun are back with a real gem of a tour. This is no ordinary metal tour, but their second symphonic tour. It takes Mono Inc. and their orchestral ensemble through 18 German cities and mostly unique venues like the Christuskirche in Bochum, Bad Elster’s König Albert Theater , or St. Matthäus in Munich and many more.

The tour kicks off on Friday 5 April in Potsdam’s Nikolaisaal and will be interrupted on 18 May in Hamburg’s Friedrich-Ebert-Halle by the final show at Lübeck, Kulturwerft Gollan on September 14th. So, if you want to experience Dark Gothic Metal in a completely different and unusual way, don’t hesitate and get your ticket from Mono Inc.’s website .

Tickets, tickets, tickets…

Or wherever else you can get one for a reasonable price… It is true that many of the venues on the Mono Inc. symphonic tour are sold out. If you live nearby, it might be worth checking the evening box office for returned tickets, although the chances are rare. And you know, there’s always someone who can’t make it to the concert at the last minute and a friend offers the ticket at the door for the regular price.
