2023 Presenting Sponsor – Fred & Mabel R. Parks Foundation

Dates & hours.

Friday, December 5, 2024 10am – 4pm and 6pm – 9pm

Saturday, December 7, 2024 10am – 4pm

For 32 years Child Advocates of Fort Bend has been showcasing homes lavishly decorated for the holidays in Fort Bend County’s most beautiful neighborhoods as a way of raising money to support our programs. With the help of professional decorators and florists, homeowners decorate their homes for Christmas and open their doors to the public. This year, we are planning an in-person tour. Guests purchase tickets to tour the homes and admire the talents of the decorators and florists and the homeowners’ personal style.  This is one of Child Advocates of Fort Bend’s largest fundraising events. Ninety-four percent of the proceeds go directly toward services for children.

Are the homes all in the same neighborhood? No, we vary the neighborhoods each year. Our 2023 homes are in Imperial, Sugar Creek, Sweetwater, Riverstone and Sienna.

Tickets for the 2024 Christmas Home Tour go on sale November 1.  Get Tickets NOW!

Tickets will be available online beginning November 1, 2024.

Tour hours are Friday, December 6th from 10am-4pm and 6pm – 9pm AND Saturday, December 7th from 10am – 4pm

The tour is self-paced, and homes may be visited in any order during the event but cannot be revisited. At each home you will be greeted by volunteers who will share details about the property including special décor and stories of the collections.

The tour is designed to provide an engaging experience for adults. Well-supervised children are welcome, but those age 3 and over, must have their own ticket. Children must be carried or held by hand while touring the homes. Because of risk to private property, strollers, backpacks for children, are not allowed inside the homes.

No smoking, eating or drinking is allowed inside the homes. Please silence all mobile devices before entering a residence as calls distract other guests and take away from the ambience of the tour. No pets, pictures or videotaping are permitted.

There are no restrooms available.

The tour will take place rain or shine. Tickets are non-refundable.

The tour takes place in private residences rather than public space. Therefore, the tour is not handicapped accessible but we do have handicapped parking at each home.

For information on sponsor levels or to become a sponsor go to the sponsorship page or contact Tarina Sheridan via email at [email protected] or at 281-344-5109.

We select homes in many different ways. Often they are referred to us through interior decorators, friends of the agency, or we are contacted directly by the homeowners. To be considered, the homeowners must enjoy decorating elaborately for Christmas and be open to the public viewing their home. CAFB staff will tour the home and determine if the location and flow of the home is suitable for the Home Tour.

Do you like to decorate for Christmas? If you do and you are interested in showcasing your home on a future Home Tour, please be sure to attend the Christmas Home Tour and contact Tarina Sheridan at 281-344-5109 or [email protected] for more information about showcasing your home.

  • We had Bugco at the house again today for my quarterly treatment. The young men were very professional and nice. When they treated the outside to my delight they knocked down the wasp nests and cleaned under the eve's with brooms. Since we are up in years and difficult to keep the outside clear of webs, etc. this was a really great service. I highly recommend Bugco.

Casa home tour to feature riverstone manse.

casa home tour sugar land

Riverstone is once again participating in the CASA Home Tour, an annual fundraiser for Child Advocates of Fort Bend.

The much-anticipated holiday tour of seven luxuriously decorated homes happens 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13 and 14, with a special candlelight tour scheduled 6-9 p.m. Dec. 13. One of Child Advocates’ biggest fundraisers, the tour is expected to attract more than 2,000 guests.

Guests can tour the homes at their own pace, inspired by the lavish holiday décor and architectural innovations. Riverstone’s addition to the tour is located at 24 Miramar Heights, located in Crescent View Estates, a gated enclave of multi-million-dollar homes. Other homes on the tour are located in Missouri City, Sugar Land and Richmond.

Tickets are available now at the Riverstone Information Center. The early bird price is $20, with the cost of the ticket increasing to $25 after Dec. 1. Tickets are good for one entry into each home any time during the two-day tour, including Friday evening.

CASA Home Tour to benefit children in need

The CASA tour—which showcases lavish holiday home decorations in some of Sugar Land and Missouri City’s premier neighborhoods—is underwritten by the Fred and Mabel R. Parks Foundation. Other underwriters include the Exchange Club of Quail Valley and Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital as well as several other businesses, organizations and individuals.

Proceeds from the event benefit Child Advocates of Fort Bend—a nonprofit organization that provides support and raises awareness for children affected by trauma, abuse and neglect.

“[The event] raises awareness of the issue of child abuse,” said Ruthanne Mefford, executive director of Child Advocates of Fort Bend. “It is important for us to get the word out to our community and also let them know there is a place for these children to get help.”

According to the organization, about 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 6 boys in the United States will suffer from abuse by the age of 18. The organization started the CASA Home Tour when it was first established 22 years ago and has raised more than $3.5 million through the event.

“This is also our largest fundraiser,” Mefford said. “Because everything is donated from businesses and we use volunteers, 95 percent of the proceeds go directly to the children who need it.”

About 2,000 guests are expected to attend the tours this year, and the organization is looking for about 1,500 volunteers to help throughout the weekend. The event is expected to raise nearly $200,000—about 20 percent of the organization’s annual budget.

Local businesses also come together for the event each year to help with decorations and refreshments. Pat Houck, owner of House of Blooms in Sugar Land Town Square has been involved with the event for five years.

“CASA reaches out to so many individuals within the community,” Houck said. “This is one of our ways of giving back to the community.”

The event is from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. and includes a tour of each of the seven homes, entertainment from local artists, refreshments and a $15 special tour lunch from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. at Sweetwater Country Club. A candlelight tour is held Dec. 13 from 6–9 p.m.

Tickets are $25 and include all seven tours. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event at the Sweetwater guardhouses at Sweetwater Boulevard and Palm Royale in Sugar Land, or in advance from Fort Bend County Kroger and Randalls grocery stores. Reservations can also be made online at www.cafb.org. For more information on the event or volunteer opportunities, call 281-344-5108.
